Staff rude. When they forgot to put cream on coffee tray they said yes they did and insinuated we were lying. Food took well over an hour to get to room. Hammering at 9 a.m. When complained front desk said too bad. Do not stay at this overrated, place. Oddly, the W on time square has a much nicer staff. Odd but true

The worst 4 star or even 1 star hotel I have ever been in....and yes I have travelled quite a lot in my consulting career....
1)No restaurant or room service,
2)change elevators twice to get to your room....
3)unhelpful staff who need a crash course in hospitality....
4)No coffee/Tea in the room.

regretting my stay!!!

Loud drilling in the next room that went on for over 20 mins. Calling the front desk was 0 help.

Last straw...i have cut short my 4 night stay to 1 night and moving to the Hilton for the next 3 nights.

Please avoid this terrible hotel and staff.

hotel had a clean and modern appearance. Better for a younger vibe as there is music everywhere. Area around it was at one point destroyed by 9/11 so it is taking some time to rebuild. The terrace has a nice view of the freedom tower There was a dj who played the night I was there and you could here the music from 5 floors up which was annoying. also rooms near /above the bar might be hard to sleep In when others are partying. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. This hotel is good for business travel in the area.

Customer service here is great, and the room was fabulous. The views are awesome as well. I highly recommend this hotel. This is coming from someone who has stayed in a lot of similarly rated hotels. I recommend a corner room if you can get one. Views are unreal and it is pretty spacious by NY standards.

I have a question that is a child that is already big and that was in this pizzeria is real? Because I do not understand that I did not discover all kinds of information, but I want to know who gave the bite of 1987. I was born in 1987. Mangrove saw a video where the creator of the game got his name but I'm not going to say it surely confirms that the pizzeria is real and I do not believe him much OSEA I do not know who stole or kidnapped the 5 missing children was the purple man I do not know who the creator knows who but nobody knows good only that I do not know if it exists or not good only that if they want to tell you more information, tell me good, just that, chau.

Depending on your reason for being in the city, if proximity to Wall Street and/or WTC are important to you, this is an ideal location. The hotel is certainly "nice" but not necessarily up to The W standards (don't let the contemporary lighting of the lobby fool you). The outdoor patio was narrow and not really inviting or a good social space during the day. The rooms were clean and cozy and do offer good views of the city (keeping in mind there is a lot of construction going on in the area). The staff was helpful but do get a number to the front desk as opposed to a general answering service when booking your reservation.

We lucked out and got a north facing room. Absolutely stunning view of the One World and the world trade center memorial plaza.

It has a lobby on the 5th floor, so you do have to take two elevators to get to your room, but the lobby bar is actually pretty good. Bartender kept refilling the mixed nuts on the sly and made sure to slide over some water glasses without us even asking.

The restaurant was still under renovation, but everything else we really enjoyed. Rooms were very large by NYC standards. There was only one full length mirror inside the closet (would rather have one in the hallway that's always there), and not a ton of drawer space, but plenty of outlets and USB ports to charge the plethora of gadgets we brought with us.

A bit disappointing. Apart from the great views over downtown Manhattan there is nothing quite right with this hotel. Service is friendly but sounds too artificial. Rooms are OK but in need of some loving care - peeling paint and half used bottles of body wash are a no go. Handy if you need to be close to Wall St or WFC.

I had a great experience at the Downtown W. I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a simple walk to the finance district where I was working. A first it was odd having to go up to the 5th floor to get to the reception and 'lobby' area, but I actually liked the fact that I could walk in go inside an up 5 floors without having to grab an access card. I did end up enjoying the bar scene for 2 hours with a friend and was really impressed with the Music choice. I know of a lesser know DJ - Lane 8 - who actually came across the playlist and was awe-struck. The W was very modern and the room was very very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was average. Had a fabulous grade room. I've stayed at many W Hotels and this was not anything special. Room service doesn't start until 6am so if you want to get up early and work in your room it's not good. I ordered a bottle of beer in the bar area and was charged $12. Just a Brooklyn Lager. The location is good. Not very well staffed. Sometimes they don't answer the phone. After I left they charged my card 3 times for the one stay. Took days to get it reversed.

I'm extremely picky and always look for the best. So it's saying something when the W New York surpassed my already high expectations. We stayed here a week and they gave us a delicious complimentary wine when we arrived. The front desk staff and service overall were fantastic. Amazing view of the 9/11 Memorial and the new World Trade Center. We will definitely be back soon. 5 stars.

So disappointing! From the moment we pulled up to find no bellman there to help with our luggage, we knew the service was terrible. When someone finally came down, after 10 minutes of waiting (the lobby is on the 5th floor), we were told "there were a lot of weddings". We tried to book their special Acura car service and were told they were fully booked for the weekend. And the car service only goes until 7pm. We called the concierge two different times, no one ever answered...hello???? The room was simply not sound-proof, the room next to us had music playing that was so clear in our room we could sing along to the lyrics. When we told the concierge, he told us it was early and we could complain after 10pm. The entire experience was service-hell, not what you would expect from the W.

This hotel was very nice. Loved the ambience. Don't touch anything in the bar. Can of soda... $6. But aside from that, it was a very comfortable stay, the staff was wonderful and attentive, and I hardly wanted to leave my room. They lost one star because the restaurant was closed during my stay, which left me prowling town for my meals. That interfered with my desire to just relax. Would definitely stay again... when the restaurant opens.

Always thought W hotels were more prestigious. Would rather stay at Marriott Downtown right next door given the chance 10 times out of 10. Bathroom dated and rooms are generally noisy, especially hvac.

Beautiful hotel and awesome staff. Went for a 21st wedding anniversary and we had a great stay. Price was what we expected for downtown N.Y., and we loved everything about the room, restaurants and lounge. Breath taking view of ground zero from the lounge, did not expect that.

The hotel is under construction. No restaurants inside, nor room service. One lobby bar and that's it. Room is not in the greatest shape either. On top of this next day, we got stuck inside the elevator!

The location of this hotel is amazing. Steps away from all the world trade center sites as well as the statue of liberty and wall street. The lobby is very nicely decorated and has a great modern look with great music. The lounge is very nice but the drinks are on the expensive side (even for NYC). Staff was pleasant and the rooms were nicely equipped. However the rooms are showing their age a little. Lots of scuff marks on the walls and damaged carpet. Overall though the issues are not enough to ruin the stay. Id recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the downtown area.

When staying at any W hotel, the expectations are always high and this one did not disappoint. Beautiful lobby, amazing rooms, and if you're facing the right way, an absolutely spectacular view of the Freedom Tower. Easy walking distance to several great restaurants and bars.

The service was great, I had stayed here about a month and a half ago.. the service was great and the food wasn't bad the only downside is the rooms are ridiculously small, like maybe 2 people can barely fit inside of them. Now I know it's NYC but I felt like I was a fish in a sardine can... I mean I think I have slept in hostels that were bigger than this place.. But it was nice and the hotel had good decor and good food; plus you don't stay in your room all that much.
