The view from our room was absolutely beautiful and being close to public transportation was a huge plus. We didn't have to use our car once we parked it! The staff was helpful and friendly, and I couldn't hear the other guests (huge plus!) The shower got hot fast and stayed hot. I'm pretty sure someone bled out in our room as there were a few odd stains along the floor nearest the window. Also I saw someone standing in the room, slightly by the entryway. Not the best experience regarding that part, but the rest was peachy.

It s expensive for what they offer, and charging for parking is absolutely ridiculous.
No breakfast offered at all with fees left and right. Pool and spa are closed and no offer of discount due to unavailability of offered activities. Furniture is nice and it s clean but definitely overpriced for my opinion.
The parking has me messed up the most. I would understand for more than one vehicle but parking should at least be included with the room for one car.

I had to call down to have a new coffee pot brought up as the one in the room did not work. I also had to call down because the heat lamp in the bathroom didn't work. There apparently is also no fan for steam in any of the bathrooms in the hotel.
Perhaps having housekeeping check to make sure things work once a week would save guests from having to go through this. Also, having a fan in the bathroom will help save the hotel in the long run with moisture related problems like mold.
My parking, without an attendant there wound up being incorrect because I was unaware that there was an alternative to using the ticket. Better signage with info about options and pricing.

This hotel is outdated and in the worst part of Portland. I just read in the paper there was a woman stabbed and a Vancouver boy murdered in the small park across the street! When we arrived a gang was hanging out. It also reported it is the worst area for car break ins, so don't leave anything in your car if you have one. The rooms not that clean and most poor reviews here are correct in their opinion. Breakfast buffet is included but if you want eggs or meat you pay $19. Do not go for the $4 extra if you are a hilton member. It is a rip off. There is a much better hilton downtown in a much safer area. You can always catch the metro which runs all over town to get to the convention center. Very unsafe area, especially for women. As a side note the breakfast made me sick which might be due to the dirty pans issue mentioned in another review. Either way something made me very ill quickly after.

An old-fashioned corporate-style hotel where the staff is not particularly interested in helping out and where countless details contribute to make guests look forward to being back home. The polar opposite of the creativity and energy that is so emblematic of Portland.

Great Hotel. Really awesome staff and well managed. Maintenance is up to date and the hotel give a traditional feel. Many banquet halls/ conference rooms for all occasions and pleanty of space to relax or get a drink at in the lobby.

Just spent two days here. Went to check in at 2:45 they said my room wasn't ready. I asked when check in was and they told me 3. Went back at 3 and still was told my room wasn't ready. Went back at 4 my room still wasn't ready. Went back at 5:30 my room still wasn't ready they said they would text me when it was. Never got a text and I didn't get to check into my room until 9 pm. Still had to pay full price. The only compensation I got was two bottles of water and two cookies. This is beyond outrageous. Will never stay here again.

Staff are all really nice and accompanying. Rooms are clean but rather small. Location is great for the convention center, o ly a couple blocks away. AC is not so effective and the room heatsbup fairly quick, so a lot of cycling between hot and cold at night.

I have never spent the night at the hotel because I live in town, but I have attended events in their facilities. The staff is always helpful and the location is really great. I would definitely recommend this hotel for guests and/or event organizers.

Room was large and spacious and breafast was good but expensive. Room wasn t cleaned well at all feathers everywhere dust bunnies everywhere bloody boogers stuck to the floor shower wasn t cleaned well. Windows were super dirty. Front desk was polite but didn t tell us anything about having to ask for a mini fridge or having to pay for WiFi and having to pay for breakfast . Overall not pleased with the stay at all. And someone had written F*** me in the a** on the chair and the maids clearly overlooked that as well.

SUPER convenient because it's directly off of train line. We took quick train from airport to get there. It's about 15 minute walk to cross the river into downtown. There is a decent bar and restaurant there. Bartenders were very friendly. Nice little pool and lounge area and a park across from hotel also. Enjoyed our stay! They don't offer affordable breakfast options though, only $15 buffet. But there is a little coffee bar that may serve cold case sandwiches.

Good location for easy convenient access to the MAX line to airport or out to Beaverton/Hillsboro. Hotel is nice, sheets and room were clean. A full update to something's would be nice. . I'm not sure tho if I was here at a convention I would want to use Portland as a city. Is alot . . I mean ALOT of homeless very close by asking for money some following or lurking. . Probably not the best idea to go out for a 2am walk if your not from Portland. The hotel is good to very good. It's just the city lacks in things to make it a more enjoyable stay in the downtown area.

A great place to stay and very convient location! Quiet area right next to a park with both TriMet and Biketown stations available right outside. Quick and easy to get to from the airport and close to downtown Portland. And don't forget about the complimentary chocolate chip cookies of course!

Easy to get to and access. Great front desk personnel. Could do better on responding to requests faster. Had to call twice for our fridge to be brought to our room after asking for one two days in advance.

Thanks

Rooms are comfortable. Some of the fixtures are dated but the important things are fine. Noise levels were great. Can hear the tram but it becomes white noise eventually. If you're afraid of a city center at night, I wouldn't recommend it. If you don't mind, you'll enjoy it. It is very close to a tram station. The tram is 5/5 as well best way to get around.

Another chain offering that I think is surviving on its points value rather than the merit of the hotel itself. It's old. The parking is a bit overpriced (especially considering that their garage is probably never actually full). I wouldn't try eating here. The rooms are HUGE, though, if you like that. The location is decent, especially if you plan on hopping on Max (Portland's light rail), just about less than a block from the front door.

Stay here for the points (Hilton), the location (Max), and big rooms. Look elsewhere for something more modern, more charming, or if you want to actually be near things, as opposed to a Max ride away from them.

Plenty of amenities for the traveling professional, cafe off lobby, space to plug in outside your room for a latte and laptop time. Helpful staff, numerous presentation/conference spaces.

Room 110 let's you walk right into pool area. Has balcony that has a gate that opens to the pool. Great room, very clean and updated. Came without kids this time but will be bringing the kids next time and will book a room with pool access.
