Mediocre at best, stayed in the penthouse suites on the 12th floor. The hotel is far from it's glory dates and rooms are in need of updating. The executive lobby is never staffed, cutting breakfast an hour early and simply not serving the evening crowd. The staff is lacking in hospitality and parking is a joke. An event is happening next door to the hotel and they rented out all the space, so we couldn't park in our already prepaid lot. The lobby charges $3 for stale coffee.

The service is great. Clean and always beautiful. The only problem is that if you don't have mobile service, the wifi is absolutely AWFUL. Only ATT wifi and hotel free wifi is horrible.

If I could give this hotel no stars, I would. My g...

If I could give this hotel no stars, I would. My girlfriends and I booked 2 nights here through Expedia 2 weeks ago prior to a cruise we were going on. We knew our flight would be arriving after the midnight checkin on Saturday so throughout the week leading up to our trip, we did our due dilIgence to let the hotel know. Because we booked through Expedia, they made us call Expedia to tell them this information. Expedia assured us that they made contact with the hotel and they confirmed we would have a room waiting for us. The day of our trip, during our layover at about 8pm, we called the hotel directly to let them know, once again, that our flight will be arriving after midnight. We were assured that was fine and our room will be waiting. When we arrived at our hotel around 1:30am, the woman working the desk "apologized for the inconvenience but they are completely booked for the night". When she opened our booking, she mentioned there were no notes in our account about ANY previous calls to save our room/our late arrival. We then had to show her our call log but again there was "nothing she could do, they were completely booked". So here are 3 young woman traveling alone for the first time with nowhere to stay. She does let us know she has a room, but the room ONLY has a pull out couch (there are 3 of us so not sure how that is going to work) and they have no rollaway beds available. We accept because, well, we have NOWHERE TO STAY! It is now well close to 2:30am when we get into the room, which is an extension room of a suite. Sure enough, one pullout couch with a mattress that is BARELY the size of a double bed. And to top it off, when we pull the bed out, there was NO bedding on it, just an empty, dirty, stained mattress. We are already on the phone with Expedia when we get to our room to explain the situation as we absolutely want and deserve our money back for this nights stay. Expedia confirms that their are notes in the Expedia account that they spoke to the hotel earlier that week about our late arrival and saving our room. The response Expedia gets from the hotel front desk is nothing can be done until a manager is in the next day so we should "get some rest". Get some rest on the dirty mattress with no pillows, blankets or sheets HAHA. We call down to the desk to request these items, and they sent up a security guard to ask what we need. At this point, it is around 3-3:30AM. This gentleman was nice, and very helpful. He (as quickly as possible) collected blankets and pillows and, what do you know, he was able to find a rollaway bed, which we were previously told they didn't have. By the time we get the bedding/bed, MAKE OUR OWN BED, and lay down, it's between 4-4:30AM.

In the morning (after our barely 4 uncomfortable hours of sleep), we go down to the front desk and ask to speak with the manager. A manager was not in that day (Sunday) but the shift supervisor was there and gave us free lunch cards (equaled out to about $12 a card) and said he would leave a note for the manager. We also got into the original room we were supposed to be in upon arrival. Expedia, meanwhile, still trying to get ahold of the manager they were told would be there Sunday morning. We leave for our cruise on early Monday morning and upon our return, we are notified by Expedia that our request for a refund for that first nights stay was DENIED! Literally insane! We have put in a few more requests and calls as well that all keep getting denied. This is a HILTON, not some cheap motel. We were treated and left to sleep like street rats and paid over $140 for that nights stay. If you want a terrible customer service experience with little to no accountability for mistakes, feel free to stay here. My friends and I, however, will avoid Hilton at all cost! I will he reporting this situation to the BBB!

Undelightful stay in many ways. Friend booked room with their card as a gift over phone, but couldn t run card and pay . Older hotel, Pillows uncomfortable, no extra blankets, coffee maker broken, toilet nearly overflowed, tub backed up. Maintenance guy barged in room without knocking. All this, and we only stayed 11 hrs!! Manager unwilling to offer discount. Very non restful.

Close to Miami Airport. There are not many food choices in the convention center, you have to go outside. Bathrooms are small but clean. The restaurant pizza at the hotel does not recommend it. Sometimes the power failed, apparently there was no back-up plant.

There is a $10 nightly parking fee and a $75 pet fee that aren t mentioned at time of booking which was an inconvenience but it was good to know someone would be watching over the parking lot all day and night. The supervisor Julio was super nice and helpful. We forgot our toothbrushes and the hotel provided some and when we asked if they had a microwave room they had a microwave brought up to our room for the rest of our stay!

Alert Priceline Users

The customer service is sooooo bad, when I call them, I was put on hold twice, each time about 10minutes! When finnaly someone began to talk to me, I was told since I booked it through Priceline, I had to call them for any room change issues. I also booked rooms from similar hotels like Marriot and Hyatt, but I was never treated like that... Adding extra rollover in room also charges 20$ per night comparing with free with others. The customer servie is just HORRIBLE

Very poor customer service and overall experience. Overbooked the first night I was there and they moved me to a subpar hotel 20 minutes from the hotel. The next day I was able to check in and stay with the rest of my party and they promised red carpet treatment for my stay two days later. Well, if red carpet means one of my group being sent to a room that wasn t made up, then moved to a new room that reeked of smoke, and having to yell to get someone to check me out then I would prefer no red carpet treatment.

My personal experience was okay, but others in my group had a bad experience. Our event host messed up their reservation, and even though there were definitely extra rooms still in our discounted block, the hotel still charged them and unnecessarily exorbitant price for their rooms. It left a really bad taste in our mouths for the entire weekend!

Everything is perfect except that they don't always answer you on the phone to ask for a ROM service from the room and at 9 in the morning the cleaning ladies are screaming in the corridors and they break your sleep ... they should be tactful. .There are clients like me who work nights and arrive at the hotel at 1 or 2 in the morning.

We attended a trade show at the Miami Airport Convention center and this is very close by so we had their Saturday brunch buffet and it was so good. The staff here is very friendly and the hotel (though we did not stay there) seemed to be very updated and clean.

Definitely be mindful while staying here especially with pets or children, they will take any chance they get to charge extra fees on whatever card you have on file. When you call the staff is rude and unhelpful and the communication skills are horrible. I would never stay here again, I ve never had any issues at any other double tree property. And i top of that i stayed in the whirlpool suite, you would think they would take better care of those type of customers.

This hotel seems pretty dated. The service was quite slow and things were empty or missing. Staff is friendly but the place is just not up to what I thought a Double Tree should be. I'll look elsewhere next time.

Front desk was rude. Long story short, my friend paid cash for deposit when checking in. When he checked out, front desk did not have cash and asked him to arrange me to pick up cash later. When I did come later, they were disgruntled and kept educating me that they typically don't give cash to a third person, and asked me to "tell your friend not to do it again". Excuse me??? Whose fault is it??? They gave me cash anyway but the attitude was super rude.

We were here one night pre-cruise. Room 1123 on the Executive floor was large, very clean with comfortable beds. The hotel seemed to check all the boxes for 4 Star status except perhaps the room decor and bathroom fixtures are a bit dated. This did not bother us and was more than offset by excellent service and value throughout.
The highlight for us was the food in the Tapas and Burgers Bar (Ceviche and Mahi Tacos highly recommended) and the buffet breakfast in Impressions Restaurant. The latter was impressive for a chain hotel and, as captioned, comparable to what one would find in a 5 Star hotel. It had a complete array of breakfast items (including smoked salmon) and a made-to-order station. Table service was excellent. We wish to single out Food and Beverage Supervisor Hortensia Armand for praise in the professional way she handled a mix up on our part. It was and is much appreciated.

Parking was generous for a large professional event. Accommodation and facilities were always kept clean, but I'd you believe in invisible work crew that wasn't a thing because it was so. Clean you saw worker actively clean, which I liked. The food options near by was slightly lacking. Great events

Believe me the room was not the issue. My boyfrien...

Believe me the room was not the issue. My boyfriend & I traveled to Miami from SC to celebrate New Years Eve. We are entertainers and usually have performances but specifically took time off . We checked in to the hotel around 12 noon and took a rest before touring Miami. It was hard to rest because our neighbors were super loud. That night we headed back to the hotel around 10. When we got there people were driving on the wrong side of the road we were literally right by the self parking, parking lot but could not get in because the road was so packed. We saw a worker and flagged her down, her name was Brieana we showed her our parking pass because we had already checked in and parked in guest parking and she told us to meet her by valet. We get there and cars that were there for another event had us blocked again so I got out of the car to speak to valet and Harold (employee of DT) was understanding because I showed him the guest parking and our room key and said he would find a way to get our car parked. He told Teudy to get us a valet pass and Teudy told him he wouldn t because I didn t have a room and walked off. By this time Brieana was back and was giving valet passes to her friends and I told her she sent us up here and they won t give us a pass and she got rude with me and said What did I tell I you? I told a lot of people a lot of things. . At this point I went inside and asked what was going on but they had nothing to do with valet but did reassure me that we should get to park in valet since the guest parking is closed. So I go back outside and Harold was telling two women to park in valet although they didn t have guest parking passes because they were just checking in. I told Harold that we needed our passes now. When we got to the parking lot Teudy was there and came to the passenger side and started yelling at us and said we could not park there because we didn t have a room and I told him we already checked and showed him the pass again then he ran around the back of the car to my boyfriend side (drivers side) and yelled and he said he was going to call the cops on us because we didn t have a room and I told my boyfriend to park the car and we went to see Harold and told him he was threatening us and he said he would try to explain to him again so me and my boyfriend put all of our passes in the car window went inside and asked the girls at the front desk if he d call the police on us even though we had the room and she old us he could not do that. We went back to our room and could barely sleep the halls were loud and our door handle kept being shopkeeper throughout the night and people above us were loud. And to be honest I was paranoid that the police would show up in the middle of the night and tow our car.

Place is mostly for visitors. Restaurant was ok and spacious. Food selection was different. Rice was hard and in chunks refried if you ask me. Told the waiter and he just shrugged it off. Salmon was cooked fine but don't order any rice. Chicken with sausage was only chicken waiter said it's in there? Still I want to see it not as stuffing. Parking steep but restaurant validate it so free. Returning probably not.

Entire experience was horrible. Upon arriving and entering our room, it had looked like the room was not cleaned from the guests before us. The only way we knew staff was in the room after the visitors prior, was that the bed was made. Floors were disgusting, looked like they get vacuumed once a month, if that. Garbage had sauce on it and food from previous guests. I had a package delivered to the UPS store in the hotel that got lost. There was no clean washcloths for 3 days, and no clean towels for days at a time. When requesting more towels we were told that there was none available and they would bring us towels when they could locate them. This never happened. I showered with the same wash cloth for 4 days, and used a hand towel to dry off. There was no microwave or fridge, not even complimentary water. Staff was not customer service orientated at all. Worst stay at a hotel ever. I emailed them after the stay to let them know about my experience and never heard anything back, it's been 2 months. 100% disappointed. Waste of money. Will never stay at a doubletree hotel again.

The decor of this hotel is a little dated in comparison to British hotels, although I feel that this is fairly representative of normal American hotels.

I found the bed to be very comfortable and the room for be clean and tidy.

During my stay my toilet stopped flushing and reported this to reception. After several hours of waiting for this to be fixed, I decided to fix it myself. When I mentioned this at check out, staff were very apologetic.

I had a late flight from the airport and they offered me a late check out of 1pm for free and luggage storage too. This was very useful and helpful.

There are plenty of food options in the lobby as well as the mall next door.

I stayed there this weekend it was the worst services every. I would call it a No Tree a Double tree. Ha that's a joke. I would never suggest any one to stay there. First of all. They didn't keep my reservation they over booked. Then the room services half cleaned the room. They lleft towels (dirty) in the bathroom. Then to top it off they left a big bag of Dirty Sheets in a bag outside the room. Then to top it all off the staff is the worst. From the top of management to the front desk. I see why the hotel is going to continue to get bad ratings. I spoke to a Tony Ferrara about his nasty rude front desk manager name Kristen Sanchez he was so rude about the whole incident. I can see why your facility is the way that it is . Change Management an you will see a difference. Then they hire help that can't speak English well and they were rude unless its just there culture. Hiring cheap help and charging for upscale prices Never will I ever come to this hotel again. Should be a motel.

I d give this hotel a zero if I could. To allow a party with a caged tiger shows no respect for wildlife. Shame on you and I suggest that you donate the revenue you made off the poor animals caged existence and misery to a wildlife tiger sanctuary.

This place was absolutely horrible. The customer service and staff where unbelievable disrespectful when I told the that the maid service had stolen the money out of my room / $100 they acted as if it was totally normal. After complaining to the front office multiple times about it the maid finally came up with the envelope which had been torn open the card had been crumpled and the money had been crumbled up to as if it was stuffed in her pocket I cannot believe such chaos and disrespect from the staff at this whole thing I would never recommend anyone to stay here again everyone here seems to be Thieves and it does not seem to be a problem

Arrive at the airport but had to wait almost 2 hours to get their shuttle. The hotel itself is really nice, the room was clean and had coffee making facilities as well as free wifi. If it were not because of the long wait in the airport for their shuttle I would have gladly given it a 4 star. They have very friendly staff and are always accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. The distance to the dolphin mall is about 12-13 minutes by taxi but it is expensive as it cost over $27 one way
