DoubleTree Hotel & Miami Airport Convention Center Review

It was a hotel. A bit overpriced but I guess they all are.

The place is nice and very elegant. They have a variety of things to offer first timers, or regulars.

Nicely clean polite service and service, great room good bed. Not Hilton but close by,

Rooms were very nice and affordable. The location of the hotel is very close to the airport & not far from downtown. The only room for improvement is perhaps the service at the bar/ restaurant in the lobby. It took over 30 minutes to get a hamburger 4 lunch & it wasn't that busy

Shuttle is a joke I can name 6 hotels that came by repeatedly called twice for DoubleTree still waiting 1hr later

great location parking is cheap but can be a disconnect between hotel and parking attendent. property is dated but rooms spacious and clean

This hotel is disgusting. The carpet in the hallway is old and dirty. Our room was filthy. It was obvious the sheets were unchanged from the previous guest because we found multiple hair's on both beds. The shower was nasty with brown water stains ruining towards the floor. The ceiling had mildew growing. Finally, I am not certain whether this was a hotel or a brothel. Each time my family and I entered or exited the building we experienced obvious transaction with prostitution. There is no denying what we experienced. This is not the hotel experience one expects with children. This hotel is a poor example of our previous experience with Double Tree.

Nice hotel, no fridges, strange bathroom layout and lights are all on the lamps no light switch for the room.

This hotel was PERFECT. A lot of great restaurants located downstairs. They even have a micheal Kors store ! It was awesome and within walking distance from the Miami airline Arena. I enjoyed my stay here. It's pricy but worth every CENT!

Very bad service. Booked two room here two weeks ahead of time. When we got there they have no rooms available.they gave us tiny temporary room to stay for 6 guys very disappointed came from New York redicoulus service

Best hotel in the Miami airport area. Great breakfast, cleanliness, quality beds and shared spaces. We will be back.

I was charged an incidentals charge from the hotel, which was never debited to me account over two weeks later. I called the hotel multiple times and I was either left on hold or put the phone down on. Nobody seemed to be bothered to muster the effort to answer my query. I had to take the time to contact the fraud department of my bank who then released the funds for me. Your lack of professionalism and urgency in responding to my claim was simply shocking.

Close to the airport, provide quick and easy shuttle service for free. Check-in was easy, room was big with a comfortable bed. Great place to stay the night before getting on a cruise.

I had some problems at the hotel and had difficulty solving them. Good for location, close to Miami airport, but lacking staff.

Experience has been good so far. Great room for the value and the breakfast was good. The quick check in was great.

Just visit the conference room, good parking and good service

Not Amazing! Some good and lot of bad if you stay here. The good, the hot water is immediate. Never had to wait for a shower to heat up. The folks at the front desk and valet are very friendly and polite. Pricing for parking over night is reasonable. The room and bed are comfortable you ll get a good nights sleep. Can hear through the walls a little but it s not too thin.
The bad, don t try to use the internet it is extreme slow and inconsistent. Feel like it s 1995 speed. The day staff at the bar act as though they don t want to be here. Evening staff completely different story, amazing people. Most importantly don t have packages delivered to hotel. They all go to the UPS store connected to hotel and they charge a minimum of $20 per package if it s under 10lbs.

Our favorite place to celebrate Thanksgiving. Our family have been gathering at the Double Tree by Hilton for about 7 years. A great buffet with delicious options. Also a very nice ambiance. All of us enjoy it tremendously.

This place needs a refresh and some more attention to cleaning details... good location and quiet despite being next to the airport.

In what century you live not to have a refrigerator and microwave in your hotel room. I have my baby's food with me and no refregirator. The towels are terrible and there are stains on the sheets and pillows' cases. And pay for the breakfast as bonus. I am so disappointed with this place.

Always stayed here before my contract. Had everything needed for a good nights sleep!

Not to shine about my life but I am well traveled and know very well levels of customer services at domestic and international hotels.
I booked a night at Double Tree at 711 NW 72nd AVE Miami last minute, after reviewing many other choices in downtown Miami, since I thought I knew the services was going to be the same as other DTree hotels in the states.
Well, there was only one guest talking to one front desk representative by the name Jose, I decided to stay right in front of the desk in the center, giving space to the guest that was being taking care of.
Suddenly, another representative came out and laughed couple times to other coworkers, posed in front of the computer, I even tried to make eye contact but he completely ignored me, then a lady got behind the first guest talking to Jose, the other representative called her and took care of her, right after Jose was done with the guest also, and I asked to the two: is any one going to ask me if I need anything? since I am standing in front of your desk... Not Jose, but the other representative said: oh well you standing in the wrong spot. Oh lord!!! I mean they did not have nobody else behind me or the other guest that was talking to Jose. And just because I was in the "wrong" spot I was TOTALLY IGNORED by this front desk "customer service representative" Like my money or my reservation was not worthy at all ALL BECAUSE I WAS ON THE WRONG SPOT... but yeah, I was totally in front of him when he came out twice and laughed and posed and let another person in front of me like I did not exist !!!

Very nice facility. Great location. The front desk staff are not the most helpful though.

Awesome room. Friendly staff. Awesome amenities. Nice pool and jaccuzi. Rooms have a nice view. Room service is really good. Nice menu. Price is awesome for what you get. There's restaurants and a bar too

It was ok stay, room smelled like old mold maybe from previous hurricane? Couldn't move us so had to live with it. My mom got sick when we got back to TX. So probably wont stay there again if ever go back to Miami .maybe if renovations are done.

Well I got here a little late because my flight was delayed in Columbus Ohio so I was happy to see the down. Feather pillows and mattress but my suit needed dry-cleaned and I woke up call downstairs they said they could have my dry cleaning done I get down to the desk and I'm told I just missed them when I get back up to the room and looking forward to a nice shower and a nice bathroom but the water have been leaking or something and there was water all over my bathroom so I have to clean that up I decided to write this review I love the place looks great hospitalities great service sucks presentation was initially good until the bathroom ordeal overall I paid 300 some odd dollars to stay in what I could have stayed in for a hundred on I missed my flight so I went back to the hotel and try to get some food and tell me I have no credit card on file I said well how do I book the room then from Indiana I will never stay at this hotel again never never never never never never again

Very bad shuttle service....it took 3hrs more for them to pick us up at the airport...we desrve a compensation......

Worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. After traveling many hours I was excited to take a nice hot shower, until come to find no hot water. I was moved to another room again to find no hot water, and SURPRISE was moved a 3rd time to find no hot water whatsoever and the people next door partying. I was moved a 4th time to a quieter room still with no hot water. The hotel was not willing to offer any compensation other than breakfast coupons that won t be used as my flight is before breakfast starts. I am appalled by the management of this property. Moral of the story if you want a hotel with running hot water do NOT waste your money by staying here.

Location is decent - a few food areas nearby but all are driving distance. Restaurants and bar inside hotel are good. Annoying that one has to pay for parking for services at the convention center, and that there are no in and out privileges either.

My experience was great, the hotel was very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was so so.

Clean, well maintained rooms. Nice lobby with plenty of choices for eating and drinking.

Kitchen staff is great. Just feel like they need more staff on the floor and banquet halls

Always the best food, accommodations and if my travel days has been especially rough, they give me two cookies. Best Salad in the World!

You have to pay for parking and breakfast is not included. The room had a broken lamp.

Good hotel for the money. If you want to be near the Airport than this is your place. If you want to be near downtown stay somewhere else. There is a mall attached but I did not have time to go check it out

The ball room was beautiful and the servers were wonderful and timely.

The hotel is great, the bar has great food but the service is sub-par.

The location for my purpose of seeing the Hurricanes was perfect. The property has a ton of great food choices within a 15 minute drive. Service was on par and the room was great for the price.

Apart from that one waiter that felt the need to question me about my meal package at breakfast I enjoyed the stay. I really appreciated the service of the front desk staff who made check in super easy. And the bus driver that took us to the mall , he really went the extra mile. The room was clean and well put together. The mall that the building houses as well has many thing to buy at great prices. But my ultimate favorit thing about the double tree was the cookies that I got which were warm and fantastic. The young lady at the front desk gave me 3 so the stay was 3 times as great

I. Glad to be here at. The double tree serves us very well and it is a very nice hotel, good presentation, the employees are very friendly despite being at an event like Hurricane Irma, they give us security, and there are also stores with very interesting items and good prices.

Booked a suite and upon entering the room quickly realized multiple things were out of place and the room wasn't clean. Talked to the front desk to try and get another room of the same size, and they didn't have any available in that size so they downgraded me. When asked if they could refund me the price difference they said they couldn't as I booked through Travelocity. I contacted Travelocity who said they had to contact the hotel. Eventually they did and my request for a partial refund of some type was turned down. The shuttle was convenient, but otherwise our stay was very pricey and uncomfortable for what we got out of it. Additionally we ordered food from one of the places with a flyer slipped under the door which was extremely underwhelming. As out of towers it would have been nice if Double Tree at least validates the quality of the businesses they allow to slip flyers into the rooms.

Not the biggest fan. Room wasn't as pictured. Got rust dropping from the bathroom pipes and dirty sheets. Also what hotel doesn't give you extra toliet paper? The breakfast and cookies are great.

It was a business trip and much needed internet was not working at all or was very slow.

Parking can be better for conventions but other than that it looks like a nice place.

To dirty, old and I think they need to refurbish the HHonor 12th floor...... I don't think I will stay there any more.....

Clean hotel. Good bed and bedding. Friendly staff. The lunch buffet was awesome. Fresh and very well seasoned. The deserts were moist and perfectly sweetened. Lunch was definitely the best hotel food I've had. Very impressed with this place.
