Make sure you tell them you are Hilton honors if you are, otherwise they will avoid bringing it up costing you money.

Room was clean an comfortable. I had requested a fridge in room and when it did not have one they brought one up within 15min. The breakfast had many choices and free shuttle and wifi made my trip easier. Staff were all very friendly and eager to help, more so than hotels I have been to in the past. Very pleased.

Unfortunately, as of today, this hotel only gets a one star rating because it is not fully functional and no mention of it on the Hilton website. It s undergoing renovations and the 2 pools are closed as well as the rest of amenities. My reservation was 2 queen beds and the best they could do was 1 king bed and a sofa bed. Unacceptable. Oh boy... not what I was expecting. As a Hilton Honors member, I do not recommend this hotel in these conditions.

I found their accommodations to be first-rate, and recommend them highly.

Showed they had rooms available. Took the airport shuttle there only to be told they were sold out. There was another customer standing at the front desk annoyed with the same situation.

Mattresses were way past end-of-life. Internet was slow. Service was ok. I'll likely not stay there again, and I'm a Hilton Honors member.

Timothy and staff go out of their way to make this hotel a home away from home! This experience makes the entire trip worthwhile!

Very poor desk management services when it comes to complaints. Had to go to a different Hilton, due to cleanliness issue. That desk management did not address.

There was a used tampon under my bed. The faucet fell off in the bathroom. The tub drain was broke. The pool area was extremely cold.

Customer service was awesome I can't complain and since I am a Hilton rewards member they gave me a few extra perks I didn't know I even had lol.

The rooms are nice and the hotel was quick to fix an issue with the room. 2 drinks at 40 dollars in the bar was a little ridiculous so, I just didn't go to their bar. Overall a nice hotel

It's affordable, the service is great, the beds are comfortable, they have several quality treadmills in the gym, and the rooms are clean.

Good value for the price. Location is easily accessible. Clean, spacious room.

Terrible!!!
At first, I thought being dropped here by strangers was a good thing however I later realized I was sadly mistaken. Just 4 days later I was escorted out by Police officers banned and accused of not paying. Of course as this happened I lost my cool and blurted out things I detest being called a liar and being lied on. I even spoke with their Superiors however I never received a call back email apology or anything. America is treating this Veteran like garbage and what did I do exactly to deserve this. Desire more for everyone, not settle for less, be homeless and before taking just any job use my VA benefits to find myself and seek myself by traveling the world. In that case Im guilty and i would do it again.

Wasn't terribly impressed with this location. Normally the Hilton holds a high standard for their branch locations, but this one was slightly disappointing.

Be very careful of Hidden Charges.. Charges for everything even for watching TV..

I'm in awe of the awful service received while at this hotel. I was charged for a movie that I wasn't in the room to order or watch, ( I spent a majority of the day and the night in a different room). The person to whom I spoke with on the phone was unwilling to listen. I honestly would like to requisition CCTV or even get the police involved because that's not ok.. Makes me wonder who else they do this to. If you can show me that I did it, or even that I was in the room at whatever time that movie was ordered I won't fight the charge but as I know it right now.. I wasn't in the vicinity, room is on the 10th floor I was on the 3rd.

The hotel was under renovation when I stayed. It will be really nice after completion!

Hotel is showing its age and is really not worth it given the excellent new hotel options around the area (e.g. Washingtonian).

Everything from the room to fitness center felt dingy and uninviting. I found the bed uncomfortable and used. Hampton, Weston, Aloft, etc offer far superior bed comfort.

On the plus side rates are quite low here which given the hotel's condition seems appropriate. Staff were all friendly but this place is in desperate need of renovations.

I have been booking with DoubleTree for more than 10 years and this is the first time I ve every had a POOR experience. Although the staff is nice the conditions of the room I was given was well below subpar. In NO WAY is this a 4 star hotel. There was a bug which resembled a roach in our bathroom. There were NO towels or wash rags in the room. There was NO refrigerator as listed in our room. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the Double Tree..

Very clean, neat, hotel. I chose to stay here for a convention at the same hotel, but enjoying my stay. Friendly staff, nice amenities.

Good hotel, but lacking when you look a little closer. Hotel has nice amenities (restaurant on site, indoor/outdoor pool, gym, hot tub, guest laundry, room service, etc). However, when you look a little closer you see that repairs haven't been made well (door handle through wall repair sticking out, window seal shoddy and moldy, water stain on ceiling, lamp wire running into wall instead of outlet, tub slow drain, etc). The hotel was amazing at accommodating our 350 person conference with a day's notice when snow closed the regularly scheduled venue though. That was downright impressive.

They're doing a massive remodel and it makes things a little inconvenient. But the rooms definitely need if is there very dated. But the people here is super and work hard to make you feel welcome. I'm sure it'll be a beautiful place when it's done. I believe that's after Labor Day. I'll be back to check it out.

While attending Capclave 2016 hotel staff was helpful and polite, and the conference areas were comfortable and well organized.

The hotel was poorly prepared for an enormous crowd at the buffet breakfast. One person making omelets for a line that was 15 people long. They ran out of fruit, bacon, everything and though a worker said they were coming, we were disappointed in the inability of such a well known hotel to keep up with the demand.

The hotel and the staff are absolutely wonderful! So glad we decided to stay here for our trip!

Went for a wedding, nice venue and staff. Easy to get to and leave, no complaints.

So let me start by saying that the shower was wonderful and so was the pool. That is as far as it goes. There are: not enough outlets, the TV in our room didn t work neither would WiFi. Plus one of the hamburgers wasn t cooked fully! This may work for a quick one night stay but wouldn t recommend for more than that.

Difficuilty finding parking. Poor service from the wait staff during the catered function

The event we went to was nice. They are not very technical and gave the host obviously incorrect information about the projector and computer set up. If it wasn't for outside IT support, the presentation at the event would not have happened.

3.5 stars. Love the staff, but the hotel common areas and rooms have not been updated in at least 5-7 years. Also convenient location right off 270 exit 11 but also near highway so you'll hear the road traffic when staying.
There are other better options in the area, but if you want your Hilton Honors points and a full service offering in North Gaithersburg, this is your best (and only) option.

The Hotel staff was extremely nice. Very accommodating to a point. I am giving the hotel a low mark because they were extremely understaffed and grossly unprepared for our group. The food at the restaurant was good, however the food prepared for our events was horrible. I expected much better from the Hilton.

The hotel was under construction and so did not feel like I got my money's worth. Stayed only for 1 night. Room was missing fridge, toilet flush was not working properly and of the bed was broken. I checked in after 5 and immediately left for dinner within 5 min and so did not know all the issues until I got back at 9 by the time I was so tired to let anyone know or ask for room change. Also my issue is with giving rooms to guests with missing items without letting them know and also waiting for guests to let you know if the issues. I let the front desk know as I was leaving. Let see if the hotel improves itself after construction. To add the prices did not drop because there was construction. Would not go again unless it is the only option for my meeting in this area in future

I travel a decent amount for work. I have stayed in many Hilton properties, especially the last two weeks in various states, and this Hilton by far, is the most inconvenient. For one thing, when I arrived, I was not greeted like an honors member, more as someone walking in off the street. I had to ask for a water after a long drive, instead of being asked if I'd like one. Petty, maybe, but every other property I stayed at this last two weeks has treated me like a loyal member. Also, because of the new Starbucks being put in, there was no station for a free coffee anymore.
There was loud construction and maintenance going on until 9pm. The sound of portable screw drivers, banging hammers, etc...
The biggest problem when arriving was the room. I had paid for a fridge and microwave room, but when I arrived, those items were not there. There was space for them in the gutted fridge area, but nothing was there.
I asked the front desk twice via phone for them to bring it up before having to go down to the desk myself and ask in person. They then sent it up 20 min after.
Traveling for work for me, means bringing a lot of non-perishable food in a cooler, while driving for many hours and not wanting to spend a lot on dinners out. That's why I order the rooms with fridges, as it helps out.
Also, there is no free breakfast, unlike a lot of other locations...
Other than that, the location is in an inconvenient back road, and I would not recommend this location to anyone. Others, absolutely, but Gaithersburg Hilton needs some work on upkeep and accommodations...

This was a horrible hotel. Far as I am concerned it does not deserve the name Hilton. At check in I was given a room which was not what I had booked; they did correct the issue. However, the wifi did not reach my room. The staff gave me a cord for direct connect but there was no connection port in the room. The turn down service did not resupply my room with washcloths. The staff never delivered them even after notifying the front desk. Then to top off the whole stay; I woke to find the carpet soaked in my room; from an apparent leak in the wall. Unfortunately for me it soaked thru my travel bag soaking my clothes.

There are mice and roaches in the kitchen..there was a roach in my plate when I ordered food.... there are fruit flies all over...at the bar, in the restaurant. They have ants crawling in the lobby. I've never seen such a dirty work environment in all my life. I cant believe they are still functioning

Beautiful property from first stepping into the lobby to the most comfortable bed and high quality linens to the excellent breakfast buffet. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Hotel is out dated ! Very dirty room, the pool's water was freezing and the so call life guard was checking the phone and not the swimmer

Stayed 3x, chose hotel based in the promised shuttle to the Metro. 1st week there weren't any issues. 2nd week, shuttle was delayed at pick up b/c of other duties. That would not have been an issue except that the driver switched sides at the station so he left without me. I had to take a cab which hotel paid for. 30 extra minutes in 25 degree weather. 3rd week shuttle was again too busy for a timely pickup, waited in 25 degree weather for 68 minutes. Hotel bought me a drink. 1st week left my charger, called after check out and was promised it would be put to the side. It never materialized. 2nd week I was promised a fridge, didn't get it. Third week they gave me the fridge, plugged it in to the lamp, but when lamp us off the fridge us off...very old hotel smelled strongly if deodorant sprays. Staff was nice but communicated poorly.

As a meeting location, it was spacious with good AV and a Starbucks around the corner from the meeting room. However, the entrance to the conference area was not properly salted and was slippery.
