We had the Best experience staying here from the moment we arrived. I was bringing my son home from college because he very was sick and we needed a place to stay over night before heading back to NY in the morning. We were greeted by Tim (from Brooklyn, didn't get his last name) and I don't think I've ever had better customer service! He truly grasped the situation we were in and took care of us right to the end of our stay. This man is a saint and at the very least he deserves to be employee of the month along with a raise!
I would come back and stay here simply because this experience.

The location was great as well as the customer service we received in the dining room. Cam and Sarita were awesome. They remembered us and knew exactly what we requested for breakfast the previous day. Cam: "can I get that Turley Bacon" for you and Sarita: "you want cream instead of milk" these two came and repeatedly checked on my husband and myself. So these 4 starts are for them. On Tuesday (our last day) we went to breakfast and unfortunately didn't receive good service. We were told that they stop carrying Turkey Bacon months ago. When asked to speak to a manager, The cook realized they had some but it was frozen.

By far the WORST Hilton I've stayed at. The AC was leaking water into the room. The '' engineer '' came with a giant vacuum and sucked the water out of the carpet. Perfect for mold. Bring your kids here if you want them to get really sick! More

Strange all most all services are open very short period, pool indoor is not heated....restaurant and Starbucks rarely open. Not your usual Hilton. The good news this Hilton has been bought by an investment firm and is going to be renovated into a doubletree Hilton. Hope they improve.

At first glance of my room I thought this was going to be a 1 star, maybe 2 but my opinion has changed as I've taken advantage of the amenities.
I got a decent rate to stay here via groupon. When I checked in I had to get a double room due to being fully booked. The desk attendant did provide me a free drink voucher though. My first impression of my room... Run down, basic, not impressed. Sloppy job of The tile and grout. Headboard reminded me of a cheap motel. No fridge?!? I wasn't happy. However, the room is spacious despite the two beds. The bed was very cozy. I was able to have control over my heat/AC which some hotels restrict depending on season. I like a cool room so this is a plus! Nice big closet with a safe. The bathroom was small and hard to deal with the door, but the shower pressure is awesome and the towels are very cozy plus, appropriately sized. There were Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries!
The breakfast buffet is generously stocked and attended by a nice older gentleman. It is a seated buffet. They have a bar open till 11 and a friendly bartender named Frank. He let us know that if you like drinks up, you can get a double for an additional $6. The menu offers a variety of items in various prices ranges.
They also have an indoor/outdoor heated pool with Jacuzzi. Natural lighting comes in from the skylights. The pool is very warm!
The 24 hour fitness center has precor machines with guided workouts, weights, medicine balls and a deer park water machine.

The hotel sits in an isolated location but overall. It was a fair value with surprising extras.

Poor staff, old, dated interior, poor management, poor restaurant
I am a Hilton Diamond and I have learned to call ahead and verify amenities, which I did before I booked many weeks at this property. So supposedly as a Diamond according the front desk person I talked to, I had a room with a mini-fridge, microwave and I had a full sit down complimentary breakfast. I re-confirmed all this upon check in.

When I went up to the room there was no microwave. When I went for breakfast the next day I was rudely turned away. I had conversations with the front desk, who were not able to do anything because the manager was unavailable.

I ended paying the difference between the buffet and the sit down breakfast, which was not what they had promised. Anyway, I will suffer through the rest of this stay, but I cancelled all upcoming reservations and booked 8 weeks out at other properties. On top of all this, the property is very shabby.

I had Eggs Benedict for breakfast. They are $19, made with sickly sweet crab meat instead of canadian bacon and be aware that they will put spinach and tomatoes in them as well, which is a questionable choice. On the side would be fine. After scraping out the spinach and tomatoes, which I had been told on a previous day would be on the side, I found that the poached eggs were hard boiled. They did try again. The taste overall pretty nasty. I could not finish them.

The previous days steak came out medium well instead of medium rare. They fixed it by sending our a piece of meat that was cold and purple in the center. Ok, this place can't even cook a 3-4 ounce steak properly that they charge $19 for.

The only thing going for this property is that it is well priced for the area.

The only other comment is hopefully a short term issue. It smells like a barn that has too many horses in it outside and into the lobby. I saw one guest checking there shoes to see if they had stepped in something, but it was just the smell coming in from outside.

Great Place to stay !! We enjoyed visiting my Uncle on
Easter and seeing Washington, D.C. We also attended a memorial service for a friend at Washington Cemetery. When we were leaving , the hotel gave us both complimentary breakfast coupons! Wonderful!! Missed the chance though to hear Cardinal Wuerl of Wahsington, D.C.

I stayed here a little under a month ago. The room was very clean and quite comfortable. The balcony rooms are fun. Dont miss out on the cookies! I like staying at this one hotel when I'm in the area and it doesnt disappoint in terms of comfort. I really did miss the breakfast and inroom dining, however. The rate isnt too expensive, the area has some food options near and in August theres a county fair accross the street.

This hotel has some really old bones and yes the interior has been renovated. However important key components did not seem to be updated like sound insulation for outdoor road and train noise. Old loud air conditioner and heating units.

My biggest frustration with this hotel is the cutbacks under the cover of covid. I understand covid serious however hotels are taking advantage to cut services. This former Hilton lost the Hilton brand to become a DoubleTree kind of a step down in the full service Hotel world. The experience I had had zero full service services. The restaurant was closed Monday through Friday they provide carry out only limited menu options. however at 7:00 p.m. on my day of check-in I called as instructed the room service number no answer I called 5 minutes later no answer call the front desk and asked how do I place an order? I was told to hit the room service button on the phone. After about five tries I gave up and just ordered a pizza from Domino's.

Using covid as an excuse is one thing but the hypocrisy at this hotel was comical the person working the front desk when I checked in did not have a mask. he was behind a piece of plexiglass surrounded by signs telling customers and gas they were required to wear a mask.

The breakfast option was a $10 plastic bag with a piece of fruit a small thing of yogurt and a prepackaged bagel with no way to heat and a prepackaged bagel with no way to heat it. This useless option was free for me as a diamond member. You can find a better breakfast at the super 8.

The hotel is located right near a major highway and the road noise even from the 12th floor was mind-boggling not to mention the train.

The TV also had very limited channels lacking some major networks.

If I could give this hotel a zero I would. This has to be the worse place ever! The rooms are so outdated it looks like a motel 6 inside. The rooms are not clean and the food is ridiculous nasty. It takes forever! I called for food and the man told me they were out of everything and hung up ! WTF! Waste of money and I will never book with this hotel, nor will the company I work for! Thanks for a horrible experience!

The only reason I'm leaving this 4 stars and not 5 is because they had issues with the elevators the entire stay. Sometimes it would take 5 minutes sometimes they would not come at all. I never saw any elevator repairmen working so I'm not sure if they were unaware of just ignoring the problem.

Booked this hotel because out was a well known hotel. But the room was in 1 St floor which was almost like a dungeon. The room and the hallways we write bad too. The carpet in the room was completely worn out. Can't write more at this time but there are a lot of bad things. Overall it was very disgusting.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Timothy at the front desk and Jonathan at the restaurant/bar.
Timothy will make you feel like you are home away from home and as though you are staying with a dear friend, anticipating and accommodating your every need. This is always a plus but when you are traveling for work, it is a blessing. You will look forward to seeing his smiling face, welcoming you back each day!
Jonathan is a wonderful bartender, conversationalist and a master mixologist. His witty banter will be a respite from a long day s work. (Also - be sure to ask him how to pronounce all the illustrious brands of Scotch!).
While every staff member we came across was lovely, these two gentlemen will make you feel like you are part of the family!
We can t wait to come back.

Traveled four hours to get there. I had spoken to the manager about my illness/surgery after coming out of the hospital within 48hours. I arrived, as if I spoke to no one at all. I had to wait over three hours, to get a mildew smelling room that had spiders in the bathroom and mold in the shower. I asked to have my room changed, they ignore me because I was using reward points. The overall stay was poor. Therefore I have choose not to visit this hotel again. Being sick from cancer and visiting the area because of a death in the Family, and then being treated like I was a homeless person, show me they have no compassion nor concern for people w ho have/had special needs. Shame on you Hilton DC. I love you still but my heart can't take the abuse of our relationship. I'll miss you but being mistreated is not a part of my make up. I hope other people report their misfortunes, so that ur staff does not continue to misuse their power to select white Americans, over ill black men who has fought for this country. To only be mistreated.

I stay at this Hilton wuite frequently and always have a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Also the large flat screen tv has a variety of channels. But for me the most important and enjoyable part of my stay is the wonderful, couteous, and professional staff. Specifically, I would like to single out Mirtala Vargas. Manager. She has been so nice and accommodating I feel almost like she's family. I believe she wears her smile 365 days of the year!!! Also, on my last visit I had a negative reaction to a newly prescribed medication and Pearl Mensah (front desk) was able to provide me with special accomodations and even called me twice to see how I was doing. This Hilton is fortunate to have the "Best Staff Ever".

I would like to give 10 stars to Timothy Anderson who not only provided me a with a warm cookie , he gave me exceptional customer service. I booked my room through expedia who failed to send my itinerary over to the Doubletree which held up my check in. Timothy took charge of the issue , calmed my nerves and made my experience a pleasure. My room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I will recommend this hotel to my corporate office

Friendly staff, good food at the bar/restaurant. It is currently undergoing a series of renovations so some areas remain outdated. I would check on some of the amenities, if you wanting to stay here for a weekend or longer than a business trip.

Bought a groupon and this was the secret hotel we stayed at. I had never stayed at a Hilton before. The hotel staff was very friendly. The lobby is beautiful. The pools inside and out were a bit small. I wanted to go to the pool on 1 of the sunny days but the sub was blocked by trees around the pool area and the pool was dirty. Someone did clean the pool eventually but the sun was still blocked which turned me off. The rooms were very clean and nice. We stayed in 701 which was the first room right when you get off the elevator. There was a lot of noise traffic with kids in the am because of the vicinity to elevator. The bathroom door handle wouldn't lock immediately and there seems to be a water stain or something on the ceiling in the mian room outside bathroom. We had a mjnifrodge no microwave. Overall our stay was pleasant for the 2 nights and we had no real problems. They also have a bar on site and restaurant. We didn't get to try it because we like to go out and try new restaurants but it was def a perk. They have a mini Starbucks shop as well.

Was not impressed. Lobby is well kept. Room seemed dirty. No coffee in lobby and the unit in the room poured water all over the place. First room we had, when heat turned on would keep anyone awake. They were accommodating and changed our room, where the unit was much quieter. Not the normal Hilton standard of hotels.

Every Hilton is the same big price tag little value. Out side looks like a rent by the hour hotel, lobby looks like a 3 star hotel, and I've had better rooms in discount no star hotels. No fridge no microwave and to top it all off the beds terrible.

Nice hotel; used to be the Hilton. My only real complaint is that breakfast is not served until 630am Mon-Fri, and at 700am on Sat-Sun. As a hotel that caters to business travelers, they should start breakfast at 600am Mon-Fri and 630am Sat-Sun.

The hotel is very nice. Rooms were clean. Beds were small. We checked in around 8pm on a Friday night. We were pleased to see they had a restaurant. I was chatting with the front desk lady who was very friendly about how we were going to come down and do the breakfast buffet for $15. The prices on the menu were very high $17 for eggs and potatoes . We made a comment that the buffet would be cheaper. She replied that it would be even cheaper for our children. Breakfast started at seven so we woke up and headed down to the restaurant. We stood in the front by the hostess stand for 10 minutes. I could see through the kitchen windows that there were people in the kitchen and I know that the front desk clerk saw me but she never came out. I then decided to pull three tables together for our party of six. I opened one of the doors in the kitchen and said hello to get somebody s attention. A waitress came out and asked us what we needed. I asked about the hot breakfast buffet and she proceeded to tell me that they aren t going to do it because there wasn t enough people . It was there slow season. There were two tables already seated in the dining room. They were also very surprised that there would not be a hot buffet. The woman then said we could just order food. Which we did. The eggs were flavorless, the breakfast potatoes were tater tots. Needless to say we were very disappointed in breakfast. We checked out about 845 that morning. We had a memorial service to go to so we spent a majority of the day there. As we were leaving to get on our flight my daughter noticed that she had left her stuffed unicorn in the hotel room. On the way to the airport I called the hotel to see if anyone had found it in our room. The front desk clerk put me on hold for 15 minutes only to get back on the line and tell me that there was nothing found. We know that the unicorn was left in the hotel room and that somebody had to have found it seeing as how we left around 8:45 AM and I called about 5:30pm . Yes I realize it was our mistake to live a stuffed animal but also somebody just took it and didn t even think about the fact that I didn t belong to them. I would not stay in this hotel again. Also the Starbucks was closed because no one showed up to work it.

The room was a bit of a disappointment for being the "HILTON". The carpet was dirty, the bathroom had mold and dust in the duct in the shower. The dining experience needs improvement. The restaurant has a very limited selection. However, room service is quite expansive and expensive. There were many drunk people hanging out in the lobby during my stay and it was quite embarrassing with their children running around. The hot tub was anything but hot. I see why they often have empty rooms going for a non hilton rate. I was told by a front desk clerk this afternoon May 31, 2017 at 4pm with a bad attitude that someone will call me back. Such poor customer assistance. I repeatedly called the front desk to report loud banging early in the morning only to find out upon check out that they have been doing renovations. What a terrible experience.

Don't expect the amenities that are listed. Outdoor pool is only open on weekends! Hot tub is only open in winter! The employees were all wonderful and did their best but this hotel is an old mess. Don't expect Hilton- more like a TravelLodge.

Came with a school trip with my son...room had no fridge and the only working ice machine was on the 1st floor. Kids trying to get ice had to travel all over hotel. Vending machine actually over charged me. In the morning breakfast had very few choices. The second day I went to get water and it had been poured into a juice container so there was stuff floating. They quickly went to get a new one and clean that one. There were many kids that didnt even eat the second day because there wasnt even bacon. Kids were highly disappointed. On a good note the water pressure was great for showers and the beds comfy. Everything was clean and staff was nice. For the rates that the website says they charge it's not worth it. I travel a lot and stay in less expensive hotels that have more to offer.
