Un-impressed with this place. Came in at 10:55 and waited in line behind one customer who was ordering breakfast (ends at 11am). When he was finished ordering his BREAKFAST it was our turn (10:59 am) to order. We were then told sorry breakfast is over...

Getting to know and love each other in April 2015. This variety of Italian luxury.
Eating as a culture. You can only marvel. It was a similar story a year later in Chicago. Good idea. Please come to Berlin sometime.

One of the best hot chocolate I have ever had. I recommend cioccolata con panned from their Lavazza Cafe. It is dark, rich, and creamy texture and is typed off with a dollop of fresh whipped cream.

It won't be long before the growing pains are over for this long awaited Italian from Italy retail store owned by the formidable Bastianich-Batali team. Everything is Made in Italy unless it is sourced fresh in which case it is Italian style.
It is not perfect?-yet. Remember these are people who execute really well and whatever needs to be worked out-- will be.A lot of things are right to start with for people who love food. The location is great. The meat counter is the standout section with fabulous veal and gorgeous roasts reasonably priced. Genius pastry chef Luca Montersino shows off his wonderful gluten free innovative pastries--many new lines New Yorkers have not seen before like Barbero chocolates and Corsini biscotti. The bread counter is Wonderful-my favorite corn meal breads are there. Lovely coffee stop and gelato.
With time there will be a filling out of product lines. Just Wait.
That Lidia sure can cook and she will be teaching New Yorkers at the in-house cooking school. Best of LuckGuys!-You Have A True Winner with Eataly....NJPT

Although the line will undoubtedly always be out the door, Eataly NYC Flatiron definitely lives up to the hype. The menu is concise, with its limited choices being part of the reason the wait isn't actually as long as it may seem.

The store is lovely.
But food is expensive and the service leaves much to be desired.

A bit crowded during the weekend but lots of great options for a meal. We went to the pasta and pizza area which has wait service. Lots of authentic Italian (not American) options (don't expect fettuccini Alfredo and pepperoni pizza). Shops are great place to pick up fresh Italian ingredients.

Eataly is the place for foodies and tourists. They have pasta from Italy. Many of the grocery items here are Italian. You can walk through and get free samples of their fresh foccaccia bread. They also have different eating stations. This is a very crowded and popular market. At least they have accessible bathrooms. A must when you are in the Madison Square area.

The concept of this store is to mix the fish, Boucher, cheese and early vegetables with tables to taste. And it's very good, very alive and very expensive! But I love to come there to eat something good quickly after drinking a beer or a mojito at the bar on the rooftop. A very nice address next to the Flatiron building and Madison Square Park.

This place was awesome! I didn't even buy anything and I can say that it was awesome. Just go in for the smells and sights! Similar to the Chelsea Market, just all Italian foods.
I'm going back to try their Cappuccino.

Eatily is a must visit for any foody! Great selection of fresh goods and odds and ends. I'd recommend enjoying the lower cost end of the restaurant fare there, but considering the atmosphere and average service, I'd avoid spending much for a dinner there. But do go and experience Eataly! It's a must do!

Great marketplace with amazing selection of products from Italy. The ice cream there was amazing and better than Grom, which was one of my favorite places in the city. The restaurants in the market can get pricey and may not be worth it, both in wait times as well as quality of food. It may be better to buy items from here and cook at home. Make sure you visit the Porchetta sandwich shop in the market which makes a great sandwich!

Loved the private baita. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The drinks were strong and the appetizers were delicious. The pasta and pizza for the main course were good but a bit boring.

I would like to say that everyone was accommodating and helpful when we asked something needed. Kudos to all the staff. Kelly was the best bartender ever! They also served a perfect food! We loved everything about this place and we will be returning the same time next year. Good job, guys!

Every Saturday we went to this grocery store to buy some goods for the whole week. The grocery store is very organized and the authorities are very friendly. There are enough counters so that the shoppers will not get bored waiting for their turn to pay This place is my one-stop-shop from now on! Such a lovely place!

Like being in Italy...in New York . Not sure I can agree with this in terms of decor or ambiance.. but the food and desserts are quite good. The gelato is very creamy (like gelato I ve had in Italy) and the desserts/pastries are so very good! I ve never had a meal here, but should try one day. When I last came, we ordered a bunch of little desserts/pastries and they were all tasty.

Eataly is great because it s part-supermarket, part-restaurant, part-cafe - you can pick up groceries (including seafood), coffee, gelato, pastries, books/cookbooks...and more! The only downside is that it s usually very crowded and can be a bit loud (especially when you wander into the restaurant / food market area.) if you are new in the area, however, it s worth stopping by!
