Double tree by Hilton Paracas Review

This is a very challenging review for me to write. While the hotel itself is beautiful and the beach location is supreme, I had a very negative experience staying at this hotel. They always say don't judge a book by it's cover and I made that mistake at this hotel. Although everything appears to be sanitary, it is not. My husband and I both got food poisoning two separate times during our stay at this property. The first instance was following our dinner in the restaurant. I'm not sure if the ceviche wasn't made properly or if the kitchen is just unsanitary, but something about the meal made us both get food poisoning. The second instance was following our liquid diet two days later (out of fear of consuming food). We both believe the ice in our drinks was enough to make us sick again. The staff at this hotel didn't seem to understand the severity of our illness either. They refused to take the blame and said we must have gotten sick from something else even though we never left the property in 4 days. My advice? Although more expensive, stay at the Luxury Collection hotel down the road. I know many people who have stayed there and I should have taken their advice myself.

The room was confortable and wide. The view very good. Delicious drinks too!

The hotel is A1, worry from the smallest detail and the service at a general level is very good. Its facilities are modern and you can spend a relaxing weekend. Their breakfast buffet is excellent and the lunch options that they have a la carte are good. Spa, psychina and bar service.

The best, spacious and very comfortable rooms, excellent service, delicious food and drinks, and excellent facilities spend a few wonderful days

I had the bad luck of staying the weekend of January 23, 2011. First, that on arrival they did not have the triple room we had requested, and we had to wait. The room was dark and dirty. Meanwhile we went on a tour to the Ballestas islands hired from the hotel where in the middle of the sea THE FUEL WAS FINISHED and we had to wait for another boat to rescue us, above they wanted us to pay them. We went to the pool to clear the bad time but it was very small and the beach was dirty. In the night, when the fire happened, NO ONE told us there was a fire. And already the next day, the food fell lousy, the fish was spoiled. And they did not have a doctor to help you. I do not know if they will have improved since then, but I will not stay there again.

Great structure, nice and spacious room apart from the leak from the toilet. Beautiful pool and sophisticated food and excellent quality.

The environment is very good. But now it is in jobs that complicate the arrival at the hotel

Very good service and atmosphere. Highly recommended. Water activities such as kayaking, catamaran ride, are included. Very well maintained swimming pool. There are activities for everyone, a beach soccer field, beach volleyball, table tennis, soccer, etc. Food is very good too. It has everything to stay there all day, however I recommend at least half a day to visit the Paracas reserve where you can go to Playa Las Minas, among other options.

Amazing place, it looks like the Caribbean. The attention, the restaurant, the services very good. The spectacular drinks. We would have stayed more days if it were not for the closed season to travel on Sunday. Super recommended to go as a couple or as a family, with friends.

The food itself has a pleasant kitchen, although the cost of drinks such as water or soda has 4 times its store value, a half-liter water costs 11 soles and an aperol alcoholic drink 27 soles, it has no logic, like the cost of renting a bicycle 50 soles 2 hours, nor in Europe that the cost is 12 dollars 24 hours
What can be criticized, that despite being in a suite and that they paid for 4 people, the replacement of towels was only for 2 people, as well as the bottle of water that they put in the mornings instead of 4, they only put 2 !!
The room was delivered to me 3 hours before check in, so I am happy, but the room has few lights in the room where the 2-seater beds are, it is only lit by a lamp which was with the bulb burned out, like the terrace
I can not have complaints about their covid19 prevention plans but I must observe that they do not have a brigadier who checks the proximity or agglomeration of people in the pool, as in the hot water jacuzzi filled yesterday and all users without a mask

Impeccable attention The room and its services of the best. The very nice meals. The sea is too muddy to bathe but the pool more than makes up for it. Open jacuzzi with bar on the side.

Excellent hotel, this time I was taking advantage of a Scotiabank promotion that gave you a good price for a room overlooking the pool for two adults and two children with breakfast and non-motorized water sports included. The stay was very good, the weather unbeatable, the attention as good as usual as well as the friendliness of the staff. The hotel has a special plan for children called El Club de Paco, where any child who is staying at the hotel and who is between 3 and 12 years old can participate. In the Club de Paco there are varied activities such as campfire with marshmellows and hot chocolate at night, or workshops with cold ceramics, or workshop of masks or sand castles, cinema, etc ... A series of activities that make children have more fun and we parents can relax a little by not having to be aware of the children.

I'd give 5 stars but had to replace my door key 4 times before they said they needed to change the batteries on my door. I ended up waiting outside in another of the rooms I booked for 45 minutes playing cards while the guys tried to figure out out to fix my security door. He kept saying give me a few more minutes. It is 2020 , I say it is time to update the doors to be opened by ones cellphone. Into addition to the bad experience with the door lock, upon check in we were informed that main pool was not usable and if we wanted they would send us via car to another 5 star hotel to use there pool. Maybe I should have just stayed there. Sorry Doubletree. You deserve the 2 stars from this Gold member. I would not recommend again. Well after midnight and it is still not fixed. At $200 a night, if I were a manager I would reconsider how my customers actually feel and how the staff interacts with them.

Very high price for what it offers. The rooms are very spacious but I think they lack details. In the bathroom there is just the right thing: gel, shampoo, moisturizer, shower cap and sewing set. Given the supposed level of the hotel I would put cottons, flip-flops for the bathroom, bathrobe ... details that differentiate a 4-star hotel from a hostel!
Also there is no where to hang the hand towels and you have to leave them on the bathroom counter.
We had a problem with the light and we were about 45 min without light in the room.
Also when we got to the hotel they told us that due to maintenance the pools were not working !! In exchange they gave us a room with a sea view ... having the hotel practically empty I don't know why they don't give those rooms from the beginning!
Conclusion: I would not repeat

I thought the attention was good, but it is not very pleasant to have lunch, breakfast; that would have to come included with the package, but personally if I liked the service.

I think the food can improve, but what I liked were the water sports, in addition to the facilities that were good.

Rooms, restaurant and especially the wonderful surroundings.
