Hosting the auditions for Family Feud show. Very nice experience. Accommodations the same.
Hosting the auditions for Family Feud show. Very nice experience. Accommodations the same.
Located on the marina, this nautically themes hotel must have been very upscale about 20 years ago. Now it is sad to see the road in shambles and the homeless encampments alongside. The hotel needs a facelift but the rooms are comfortable. The best part of my stay was the friendly staff in the bar/grille and the valet attendants.
We stayed at this hotel for a wedding at another hotel. It looked like a great location from the event and seemed like a up scale place. When we checked in, we were greeted with a toilet that was clogged. Clogged toilet, that isn't a problem as long as guest service resolves the issue. We waited for over an hour. I called the front desk numerous times and did not have someone come look at the issue until I went up to the front desk. Front desk manager offered to not charge us for parking for our stay but that was a lie, and we were charged with parking for our stay. The room we stayed in was also located next to a large air conditioning or some loud generator which was on through out the night. This was the worst experience from a DoubleTree Hotel I'd ever experienced. I recommend staying at another hotel and avoid this place.
Love this location and the Boathouse restaurant provided a nice meal with friendly service.
Funky, great location. Older property but ok. Great staff. Very friendly. Terrific views of bay and sf.
We stay here frequently for my husband s cancer treatments and have always had a great stay. However, we had a bit of an issue last visit. The staff has gone out of their way to make it right. When they say Make it right , they really mean it. They have more than made up for any issue we had.
The location next to the marina and a park is perfect, the restaurant great and best staff ever!
Beautiful location. Went for breakfast and was not disappointed.
Went for a 1 day conference for work. Meeting room had zero cell service. Wifi required password. Sad beans. Lobby and bathroom clean.
Not up to the standards of other DoubleTree properties, the buildings are aging and show many years of use. If they gave the place a face lift it would be a very nice property.
The rooms are modern and clean though, which is good.
The hotel was very clean, beautiful view of the water and skyline of San Francisco. Very relaxing.
Nice hotel, 4pm check in is annoying when trying to get to an event
Worse custom service every. Very mean and unfriendly
Room 2319 the HVAC unit is super loud and would clunk and clank during operation. Kept waking me up through the night, had to turn it off and deal with the heat just to get some sleep.
Beautiful location right off the bay. It's well worth the visit to catch the sunset over the water.
I got here at a very busy period (nba final game 5). That notwhitstanding, it's not the most organised hotel I've stayed in. The breakfast is amazing(IMO). However, i was never settled in here. Everyday of my three-day visit included a visit to the front desk to get new keys. I also got an "upgrade" (according to the staff) to a doubled size bedded room(although I booked a King size). It's worth noting that the front desk might be buildings away so that could be an extra pain.
Great location with amazing views, but the rooms definitely needs an update and the service was just ok.
Very nice, great views, close to Berkley but not too close. Good restaurants. Reasonable rates.
Great place to stay in the Berkley area. Plenty of outdoor paths and sights to see. Clean and well maintained property.
Very nice and big establishment, with many specious and clean rooms. Good bedding and warm welcome with a warm cookie. Nice walk on the marina. Restaurant overlooking the marina. Toll parking. Quick access to major thoroughfares to crisscross the bay.
The rooms are old, the hallways are dimly lit and looks eerie. Front desk person wasnt too friendly. Valets nowhere to be found at 7Pm. Nothing near by for food or coffee. They had containers with brewed Starbucks and were charging more than Starbucks charges for regular coffee. A plain cup of coffee grande was 4.00 and breakfast.
This place is fine. A bed, a bathroom just the basics. I will stay here again. Very nice location right by the freeway.
As a diamond member, confused why I wasn't offered an upgrade or even the Hilton honors floor room. Weak buffet with great breakfast staff doesn't meet ok. Very aged property that management is obviously not maintaining well. Slow housekeeping staff with poor cleaning skills and aged room and mattresses. Will find better accommodations close in Emeryville. They Could make this single marina property a super star, but I'm thinking management and/or investors are clearly lacking in either resources or ability.
Always excellent customer service and friendly staff. The morning breakfast team are awesome alongside the variety of menu options.
Rooms were alright some stains on the sheets and carpet...but what was disgusting was on night one I found a spider crawling around the bathtub and then on night two there was a centipede looking creature on the wall. Made me wonder what was crawling around while I was sleeping...for that kind of money I'd expect no bugs and feeling comfortable but I couldnt enjoy showering or walking around the room for fear of more nasty bugs crawling around....
Good hotel getting into SFC if you have a car isn't a problem.
You have to drive through the homeless colony to get here. Rooms are ok. Breakfast will cost you $100 for 4
Bartenders at lunchtime very pleasant but not overly" friendly'.. we will go back very soon.
They have the best breakfast buffet and wonderful restaurant staff. Great views, nice pool, enjoyable visit. Awesome shuttle driver! Have been here twice and totally recommend it!
The lap pool was my favorite part, but they need to keep the towels better stocked.
Superb place for exercise and beautiful surroundings..
Relaxing stay, large clean room, attentive staff and I enjoyed the outdoor dining which has a LOT of heaters, tvs and a nice ambiance and view.
We had our 35th for class reunion here and the room and food service was top notch!
Wonderful view of San Francisco and Golden Gate Bridge from the bay side of the hotel grounds.
When you pay for a room with sweeping views of the bay and they give you a view of the parking lot. Also they charge 20 dollars for parking. Avoid this place its old. Go elsewhere
Nice clean tidy and comfortable overnight stay restaurant was good but on the expensive side.
Cheaper than others and located in Marina Bay. Plenty of walks to do around. Nice restaurant!
It is a good hotel, although it is far from downtown San Francisco.
The hotel is nice but overwhelming, large ground so if your in building 3-5 good luck with hauling your suitcases to the room. It is very difficult to pull your suitcases around. Parking fees are high but again you re in the Bay Area.
Went here to meet with a friend who is visiting. The outdoor seating near the bay was nice. The only downside is that parking is not free, but you can park close by across the street. Morning walks around this area are nice too. Staff was friendly and helpful.
It's pretty dark in the parking lot, but it's a clean hotel and the staff is very helpful. This is definitely a business hotel - lots of people there working away from home.
Love the room in general but the old-style hvac unit is right next to the desk, making it impossible to work or make calls while it is running.
A great place to stay. Breakfast was good we had a suite in building 4 with huge vaulted ceilings and three head shower and separate soaking tub. Hornblower cruises is literally right outside the hotel! Located on a beautiful marina there is plenty to see and do from here. Pro tip call your uber on the way to the front pickup drop off area...less wait time
Not there now but 2nd stay in 3 years...great location rooms and service..Highly recommend and beautiful bay views..
The front desk clerk was very nice, the fact that they have 2 pools and 2 hot tubs and a sauna made the visit that much more enjoyable. 1 set is for family and the other is 18+. We made it to the pool before it closed so there weren't many towels stocked in the adult pool area, not bad, but I brought my towel with anyway so it wasn't an inconvenience really. A water dispenser with cups was near the pool so that was really nice. Actually it was right outside the sauna. The halls were clean going to and from. The elivator in the middle of building 3 had an off smell. The room we had was on the second floor facing the parking lot, and it was attached to what looked like the storage building. Not the best view, so if you get a premium king room ask to not be put into 2204 if you want a decent view. If you want an extra robe for your date/other half/partner/roomie ask when you get there, otherwise housekeeping won't be there to give you one. Over all, I would say it was a nice experience, and for the price it was way worth the stay. If you have time to book ahead, make sure you do and ask for a waterfront room so you get the best of it all. Self parking is an extra fee, kinda wierd. There is also parking right outside on the street if you don't want to pay for parking. I would say it's safer to park in the parking lot though as its very well lit. The free parking is on the dirt and there's generally lots of cars put there so it means possibly lots of foot traffic. We also passed 3 police on the way in so it's well patrolled. We even got a little lost and I made an illegal u turn and was followed by one, but he didn't pull me over, so I got a free escort to my hotel! :)
Spent New Year's Eve here. The room was clean, the bed extremely comfortable. Dinner was delicious. Friendly staff. It was everything I wanted for my holiday. Thank you
The rooms are really beautiful, and the inddor pool was really nice, room service was quick. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Double Tree
Make sure to get the water view. Lots of boats to look at. Wouldn't stay here if you're looking to do downtown San Francisco easily. Clean hotel and everything you would expect from a Double Tree.
Perfect place to come and have a meeting or I get together on a conference good service very nice to use outside
Located on the marina we had a beautiful view from our room, very helpful staff and good food
The double tree by Hilton was fabulous. All of their services were great.
Nice location. Was under construction. Id return to see how it turns out. Big rooms. Great staff.
I do like that it s next to the water. The room I stayed in was spacious for having two beds. My biggest issue is that layout of the hotel. It s multiple buildings, which do not have covered walkways. This is a major pain when it s cold and raining with typical Bay weather. It s not continent having to walk outside between buildings if you re checking in late at night. Also, the doors would be harder for old folk to use.
Room was nice. Lady at the gift shop rolled her eyes when I was ready to check out my $5.30 fruit cup. Guess she was too busy dealing with the clothes. My bad... Hoy yung trabahador nyo ang bastos tapos panis pa yung fruit cup nyo! Walang kwenta! I understand everyone has a bad day from time to time, but stay professional. Don't project that onto customers.
Disappointed. I called three times in one day just to get some more information on the amenities an what's available to use so I'm not disapointed but the phone keeps ringing .no one picks up. Last time I called they answered then hung up the phone before I could say hello. Bummed because it looks like a nice place to stay but the service is already off to a bad start an I ended up disappointed anyways.
The location and staff at the hotel were both fantastic and made the stay comfortable and easy. The breakfast was great and I would definitely stay there again.
Over all ok experience, rooms need a revamp, food ok, should stick to check in times.
Staff are friendly and accommodating. The grounds are well kept, and the hotel itself is situated in a beautiful part of the Bay.
Really like this hotel and the bar/restaurant on site is excellent... Great value.
Quiet and in the water. Rooms and service were very nice.
Nice hotel. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast (not included).
The room was next to the elevator and could not sleep because it was so loud.
they give you one rate and then guy ou pay another, they had a line of people all complaining about the same thing. Not worth the money
Room smelled like a nursing home staff was very rude and they also charged me and my guest 20$ each for their soggy egg breakfast I thought was included. This place is very misleading, great views but horrible service and horrible communication skills. Would have been nice to know about the expensive soggy no good breakfast but instead they told me at check-in how they have free breakfast in the morning but I get charged. Go figure.
Used for a business trip. It's fine I would use them again.
I have stayed at Doubletree Berkeley Marina for going on 4 years now! It's been great every time! The friendly and helpful staff, whether they are at the front desk, cleaning staff, or restaurant staff, they are all great! The scenery can't be beat! Right next to Cesar Chavez Park, you can go for a nice walk during the day, and see clear across to San Francisco. Rooms with a balcony view of the marina isn't bad either! Overall, I'm going to keep coming back for years to this gem of a hotel property!
