Would have given more stars, but there was construction going on, making things inconvenient, like extremely loud banging and sawing during breakfast and no Sundry to get incidentals or small snacks. Also, the roads to get in and out of the Marina are in desperate need of repair.
The food at the restaurant is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of it. A bowl of plain tomato soup and grilled chicken caesar salad with old, hard, unedible garlic bread cost almost $40 after tipping. The salad didn't even come with croutons. They definitely understand that there isn't anything more convenient around and they take full advantage of it.
3 nights of my 4 night stay cost over $271 PER NIGHT for a regular, non-view room. My entire stay including food was well over $1100. I may have been a bit more forgiving with my review if my stay would have been half that price, or if I had a great view (mine was just the courtyard), or if I would have been offered a complimentary breakfast or glass of wine for the troubles, but nothing except the free cookie they give everyone and access to the Hilton Honors Lounge, which looked messy everytime I went in for a water.
On the plus, everyone on the staff was really pleasant and wonderful, from the people at the front entrance, to the front desk staff and housekeeping.
I'm sure the hotel wouldn't risk exposing guests to construction inconveniences if it weren't absolutely necessary and for something better in the future.
If I ever came back to the area, I would take my chances at a different place.
