This place is great, I live in the area but we stay here on occasion. Comfortable beds, nice indoor pool and hot tub. It feels like a vacation even though we aren't that far from home.

Nice clean hotel, there parking fees are outrageous. Save yourself $30 & Park across the street for free .

Room smelled really funny.internet was horrible. No cell service either.

Stayed here on the company dime. It's a nice place with views of the marina.

Charging $30 for parking which isn't even secured or monitored via a guard, a fence or cameras is absolutely ridiculous. Otherwise what you would expect from a Hilton aside from 5his locations biggest draw: it's location along the bay. Serene and awesome.

I recently had the pleasure of a fabulous stay at this gorgeous facility. The setting and the scenery are breathtaking. The staff are all warm, friendly, passionate and helpful. The food was very good, from the restaurant to the catering. I have been to so many Hilton properties, but this is hands down one of my favorites now.

On site restaurant is delicious. Both for dinner and complementary breakfast. Pool is spacious. The marina offers a lovely view.

It has a very beautiful setting on the marina but it smells bad because of the high allergies being on the sea and the humidity. Staff are helpful.

The best place to stay, friendly staff and clean rooms.

It is an older hotel that is separated into a few different building, making it difficult to get breakfast in the mornings.

Awesome hotel right on the water. Go for a walk/run around the Marina park it's gorgeous. The breakfast buffet should be included in the stay.

Nice clean cozy hotel with beautiful views of the bay. Excellent hard working staff. Surprisingly affordable. Great area to take long walks, and 5 minute drive from the shops on 4th street. We stayed 8 very comfortable nights and I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay in the Berkeley area.

The double tree hotel is great. We paid extra to get the room with a view of the marina which was well worth it. We had 2 queen size beds, refrigerator, a large smart tv. They also have free wifi for hilton honors members which could stream video on my phone without buffering. They also have premium wifi forvaround 13 dollars a day. You could bring a laptop and use the ethernet cable to connect to the internet but i dont know what that entails. According to the smart tv, you could watch movies from netflix but i did not try this. We walked from the Berkley Amtrak station which was about 1.5 miles. We could have called the hotel to have their free shuttle pick us up but we did not know about this. The hotel shuttle will take you 3 miles from the hotel and pick you up. It is perfect if you want to go visit uc berkeley or around the area. The shuttle starts around 7am to 9pm excluding 11am and 5pm. The parking is around 20 dollars a day. They have commentary bicycle rentals for 3 hours or untill sunset for hilton honor members. If you are not a member, then its 5 dollars an hour. They also have a small workout area, indoor pool, and sauna for hotel guests. I did have some minor annoyance with the hotel. One time, i tried calling the front desk and they put me on hold for 5 minutes before I hung up. Also, the hotel did not say anything about hilton honors breakfast that was in a separate building. I dont know if my member status was to low to access the breakfast. We only saw this area when we checked out.

Great no superb location. I agree like most others it's pricey for the level of or lack of customer service etc. Still recommend, if there place was run by a JW or something I'd be a must visit. Grill good Ok, valet off at 11pm but they charge $24 and room service mediocre at best.

This place was fine, but they didn't have the kind of room that I had reserved and paid for, and in exchange offered 'complementary parking', but I wasn't expecting to have pay for parking in the first place. Never heard of having to pay for parking at a hotel. Make sure when looking at rates to add on the extra $35 per night for parking.

We stayed here after going to trader Vic's with some friends. The people are fantastic but the place is getting a little tired and I understand they're going to do a huge remodel. The place will be outstanding because our room looked over the harbor and it was so peaceful and the fresh air from The bay is great

The location may throw most off (driving down a frontage road at night for most travelers) but the staff and hotel are exquisite. Security may be lacking, but you feel safe. Food and drinks are upscale like this hotel which is really a resort. Great amenities like spa and sauna along with large pool. Family friendly. Have stayed many nights and will again.

Decent, quiet, relatively fast check in. Good prices for last minute requirements. Comfy bed warm and yes a do again

Large grounds. Older bldgs where I was, not sure about the rest of the property. It is a nice place, but not sure I'd stay again unless I wanted to be right on bay. Room was very comfortable and housekeeping does a good job.

This hotel looks like it's by the water and super cool and modern from the pictures. But it's actually a dirt road away from the water. The Hilton honors club room is ravaged and the place is generally outdated and beat up.

Expect the hotel to be loud... Guests are not very mindful at all and are rather rude and drunk

The hotel is doing construction on the 1st floor but you could not tell. Very clean and quiet.

Beautiful location and fantastic breakfast bar. Otherwise, a very tired property in need of an update.

Wonderful! Great location. Room was nicely sized. Only critiques; breakfast was the worse meal ( stayed longer than a day and had room service delivered several times), bathroom fixtures need sturdier upgrades.

The hotel is getting tired and needs some work. Nothing close by other than water. You can't walk to eat or drink outside of the hotel.

The DoubleTree was an incredibly comfortable experience, from the welcoming staff to the soft pillows to the perfect mattress. The restaurant has delicious food at reasonable prices with a wide variety of drinks. Shower kept running out of hot water in the morning.

Except because the light tables didn't work everything else was very good!!

Not all it's cracked up to be. Its basically expensive for the name. Basic hotel. Horrible Wi-Fi and cell service. Rooms are average and dis organized.

Beautiful views and friendly staff. Our fridge didn't work and two of the lights also didn't work. There was construction during our stay so lots of noise during the day and the main elevator was out. Again, the staff is fantastic and the hotel is clean, but many small things were wrong with the facilities.

There is an indoor hot tub, with an area for showering of afterwards. It is very nice in the winter time for relaxing.

Free cookies are dope. The location is gorgeous enough, and the rooms are nice and clean. The only problem is how large the hotel is - it can be hard to get to the lobby if you're in building 4 or 5.

I cannot say much about the services and accommodations of the hotel, but I will say it had a very pleasant feeling and conveyed a sense of professionalism from the staff.

Want some rotten apples? What about dog poop? What about some really dusty coffee machine in your room? Yeah, you can get them all here. (See pictures.) Really nice area but I guess it takes a lot to maintain a hotel. Plus, it's a really old hotel, a lot of little things are half-broken in my room. You can hear next door and outside people really well, very noisy. But very good service.

Everyone who works at this Hilton is fantastic! From the front desk to the bar staff and restaurant, they've been lovely and always smiling.

The hotel is in a very beautiful spot in the SF bay but the hotel doesn't do it's location justice. This hotel is in serious need of maintenance to its exterior and remodeling it's interior. There are literally large sections of exterior trim that desperately need replacement because they are rotting away. The rooms look like the furniture was purchased 20 years ago. This hotel has great potential and it looks like they might be starting a remodel of public areas, but it needs work done sooner than later.

Old property. Upgrading the grounds. Great breakfast. Pool and workout space. Living music and many group activities.

The hotel was not as tall as I thought it would be but the inside was well managed and clean. The staff made sure to come by and see if the event organizers needed anything. The hotel also smelled wonderful.
