Very nice hotel; great location in the water. Myself and other guests had a very hard time getting cell phone service, otherwise, very nice

Nice hotel, service and staff awesome, technology and signals were not sufficient during my stay, no isp or cell phone carriers were good from the entire hotel
Beautiful location right next to the marina. The wall thermostat in the room didn't work, but that was ok since the weather was nice. Cell reception is next to non existent. They charge $18 per night for parking, but you can park on the street for free. Sounds like they have some problems with break-ins, even in their own lot, so don't leave any valuables in the car. Let the shattered glass on the ground serve as a reminder.
I hated giving this hotel only 1 star because it have loved this place for a very long time for occasional getaways. This time I called the reservation and asked if they could give me a price break for Saturday 8/10 because I frequent the hotel and have so for years and the lady told me to get a Motel 6 if I want a good rate.
I was and I guess still am mortified!!!
Horrible very dirty experience, very small rooms and very expensive for what they charge
Great staff, good location, excellent views of SF across the bay
I stayed in this hotel for 4 days. My experience here was:
HOTEL STAFF : Was great always willing to help. This is including front entrance staff and the room service staff. Very friendly.
MY ROOM: I stayed in a room that had 2 queen beds, 1 desk, 1 50ish in tv, mini fridge, closet with iron and board, bathroom that had a granite counter top, blow dryer, oval toilet and a shower with tub. My bed was very comfortable and had 3 amazing comfy pillows each. The room also has AC/Heater if you want to adjust. There are 3 lamps in the room it self for lighting (Soft-White Light which it was Day-Light light bulbs for better lighting). I also had access to a balcony. I enjoyed my room didn't feel like there was anything else needed to make my experience better.
PARKING: Believe it or not you get to pay for parking $16 a day to park yourself or $19 for valet parking each day. I wasn't to happy about this, but I didn't want to park in the street felt more safe to pay the $16 bucks a day.
HOTEL RESTAURANT: I was disappointed with the food quality in the restaurant. I paid $19 for breakfast buffet and can honestly say wasn't happy with the quality of food. I then decided to try out the dinner menu later that week and was dissapointed high price for horrible quality of food. They truly need a new chef in the kitchen to take the lead and ensure the food has better taste quality. The presentation is amazing just doesn't taste good. I recommend you eat out of this hotel not worth the money.
HOTEL GIFT SHOP: I noticed they sold coffee and snacks and decided to give this place a shot for breakfast. I was very happy to finally have some good coffee and a great bagel. Great spot for a quick snack.
FITNESS CENTER & POOL: I was upset the gym and pool were shut down due to construction during my stay so I can really rate them on this.
LOCATION: It's beautiful near the marina and SF Bay. I was able to walk right onto short trails for a jogg. There is a lot to go here if I wanted to leave UBER was a great option to visit near by landmarks.
Overall it was a great week I had in this hotel. Very nice and clean. The location is awesome.
The rooms are large, comfortable and good. It's a bit far from downtown Barkly, but it doesn't bother me as I'm traveling by car. Room service was delicious.
Old stinky and overpriced for the food (restaurant food is really bad).
Beautiful view of the Marina from my room. The room itself was clean and very comfortable, which was what I was looking for after the long drive to the hotel. There are some nice restaurants near the property. The fitness center was a bit small, but it was filled with useful equipment. The pools were great also.
While visiting Berkeley, I booked Double Tree including breakfast which cost extra. What interested me was the nice view of the Bay Area & the boats.
Heading there was not too bad, but would be difficult driving at night. When arrival, the gentleman that check us in made it simple and had us in the 3rd floor in building 2.
You can park in the valet or on the hotel, but there would be extra charge per night. Free parking is available across the hotel. We parked near the building so it would be easy to carry all of our stuff. The elevator smell pretty weird like someone just threw up. The room was decent. They included a safe, mini fridge, blow dryer, iron, etc.
The view out of our balcony was the front of the hotel. What bothered us the most was the noise level. While resting on the bed, we can hear people talking from outside. Also when people close their room doors, it was really loud. It was pretty annoying when other people are arriving & checking in. Late at night it wasn't too bad.
The stay was decent, but we did enjoyed the breakfast & the staff was very helpful.
Card reader machine was not wor king & unable to provide guest a card causing a very long line at the register.
The rooms were awesome, the view was pretty amazing, and even though there was construction going on I couldn't hear it from anywhere but right next to it.
Great location, close to the marina and park. Staff is friendly and the location is pet friend my which is a added bonus
Update: went down to breakfast to give it another shot and the same waitress apologized and offered us omelets and anything from the menu on the house. We didn't want to take advantage so we just ate an omelet and from the buffet. But I feel much better now about my stay. Thanks Dawa for making things right. Me and my friend and her baby appreciate it.
It is on the old side but still a nice place to stay.
Hotel is located just off of interstate 80, about 10-20 minutes outside of downtown SF. Great views of the city and bay from the marina. The hotel is a little old but is well kept up with. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay just outside of the city and/or near Berkeley.
When this place is not busy, it's great all around. This visit seemed like it had light visitors. Rooms seemed more affordable; booked on Labor Day for labor day evening. Would stay here again. It's pretty surrounding areas might be worth it alone. Comfy night, not too much noise, but things can be heard in the room likely from the hallway traffic. Couldn't tell if it was people in their rooms being so loud or just outside.
Relaxing atmosphere if you can sleep through all the nighttime door slamming caused by the multi-building layout of this hotel.
The location and parking were great. The room was a little dated and in poor repair. The room was not well cleaned when we arrived.
Booked a two double bed room for my wife and daughter. The beds were tiny and hard. The rooms had little to no amenities. No microwave? When we asked about microwaves, the front desk clerk said they had microwaves on request. So, my wife requested one and they told her after 30 minutes they had none available. Surprised there was no continental breakfast either. Maybe that's not a norm for a ritzy hotel but this place was neither ritzy or cost effective. The wifi was weak but still free, I guess. At $250, I was expecting quite a bit more. And, guest parking was $16 which blew my mind. The staff were friendly. End of stay.
Didn't stay here but visited and it's a cute hotel with beautiful views.
This is our first time staying here, so the review is based upon one visit. Staff are helpful and friendly, and gave us extra signature cookies upon check-in. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was included in our stay, which was pretty good. I was very pleased to see Asian food options included in the standard American breakfast fare. The congee topped with the optional condiments of chicken and kimchi was quite delicious. The rooms were nicely done, though no vent fan in the bathroom, and the hot water gets injuriously hot. The mattresses were on the firm side, and the TV had integrated Google Chromecast (big plus!), you just have to download an app to access it over the hotel WiFi. The complimentary WiFi tested at about 5-6 Mbps download speed. Overall, a very great choice, would happily stay here again.
pricy, no more happy hour, not very attentive service.
Even though there was a do not disturd sign up and a extention made verbally staff still entered my room and told us we had a dog, when we did not.
Right on the marina. Quite lovely. Right next to Caesar chevez park which is a wonderful park along the bay. The bummer is the hotel has started charging for parking. When including taxes it is almost an extra $20/ night. The cost of the hotel has increased as well. It can cause for a hefty price to stay here.
Nice rooms, friendly staff, was accomodating while doing an upgrade.
A spectacular location, the convention hall was very nice, and the lobby was very clean. Down side, the staff was hardly noticeable.
The views are terrible. The hotel was loud. Hallways were dirty. Room service was slow. On top of all that, there was no hot water one morning.
Rooms are alright, furniture was comfortable but everything else seemed outdated. The main reason for the low review is the charges. I paid $600 to stay here for 2 nights, the final morning they charged me $9 for a single bowl of cereal go breakfast. Are you f***ing kidding me? $300 bucks a night to lay my head down and you charge that for the mini box of cereal? Get over yourself, the last Holiday Inn I stayed in was nicer, up to date, and breakfast was free. Pathetic.
Beautiful view of the marina but the rooms are a little out dated.
Location is great, right on the water, the service was good too, but the interior is dated. A person in our group had their phone charger melt while it was plugged into the lamp outlet, so it is due for updates.
I was only visiting but it's in a great location and is very modern.
The staff at the bar and grill restaurant are amazing. They really take care of you even late at night 1/2 hr before closing.
Very beautiful view; the hotel is right near the ocean so you can see all the ships and the water, sunrise, etc. The rooms are nice - fairly spacious, very clean. The service was amazing! The man at the front desk was very friendly and was willing to answer any questions we had.
There was a small problem with our AC in which it wouldn't turn off, but the staff was very happy to help, and the issue was resolved quickly.
If you re accustomed to the normal quality and standard of Hilton hotels, I do not recommend this hotel. This is the least nice Hilton brand hotel I ve stayed at. Super comfortable bed and the room service food was great, but the location and the condition of the buildings is sub par. And the access road is god awful so be careful driving on it. It s kind of a joke they make you pay for parking after driving down a potholed road.
Excellent hotel with every amenity. The staff was especially nice and actually talked us into staying an extra night . The best part was the coffee shop in the morning where you can run down and get freshly brewed coffee and bagel, toast, etc and later for a snack or even a gift. The manager made the visit personal by being so very solicitous. The marina was a lovely sight and eating dinner while seeing the marina is delightful. Perfect place to stay for shopping in the area or a quick Uber ride to shopping. Very happy stay.
Stayed here for a night. The hotel was clean and their staffs were friendly. Pay parking though its fine for me. The room was clean and well maintained. The size of the room was good and the ambiance was cozy.
Room was clean and quiet. Comfortable stay with marina view.
Great venue. Picturesque. Had training in their conference room.
One of my favorite places when they bot doing silly things like setting fire alarms off at 8 in the FN morning
The hotel is in a nice location along the marina. There's a park across the street that's perfect for watching the sunset. The hotel itself was a bit dated and could use some TLC. The front lobby was nicely renovated and there was construction going on, so hopefully the rooms will get a face-lift too. Staff was very friendly! There's a free shuttle to get into Berkeley, which was very convenient.
Staff was lazy. Building required wayy too much walking. Bad security system
Asked for a spare blanket, and received a coarse, rubbery piece of cloth with a hole in it. Beside that the service overall was alright and food (dinner and breakfast) was enjoyable. Decent interior design in the lobby and restaurant.
Service was quick, food was great, though a little pricey. Pretty quiet atmosphere, overall good experience!
Messed up our room for five by giving us a room that could only fit four, we were assured there would be three beds, two beds in the room. When we called, we asked for a pullout bed, said it was against fire code. We asked to be upgraded to the room we originally were supposed to have or a suite. Said they were fully booked, would never come here again!
Great place and great service. Employees are accomodating and helpful. Parking was pricy here. It used to be free!
Rooms are outdated, tub was clogged. I did enjoy the breakfast and the girls up front were friendly.
I didn't stay at the accommodations but did stop in for breakfast at their restaurant. The spread was quite full and fairly high quality. And the staff was as terrific as the atmosphere!
Great view and location, service and food was great, clean rooms and amenities, sucks that you have to pay for parking.
I give it three points because it was not expected and they also gave me a room next to the elevator and supporting a party on Saturday night, parking is very expensive, not having the option to park on the street, the room had not passed the vacuum cleaner, very unpleasant experience
Great location, AC was a little spotty in some of the partitioned ballroom areas.
Friendly staff and clean rooms, just what I wanted.
Beautiful property, nice breakfast buffet but hotel room is overdue for some repairs.
Great location. However, I believe the building is converted from an old resort. 4 buildings which have 3 floors, and after you check in your in for a walk if you have building 4. My room smelled like someone had smoked in it and I found someone's old cookie wrapper in my closet.
Service at the grill/bar can be hit and miss. I ve stayed here several times for business. Sometimes I ve been promised one room only to show up and I ve been switched... and sometimes they go above and beyond to accommodate me. I ll still continue to stay here due to the location and they strive to correct their mistakes. There s a beautiful park you can walk to with off leach dog area. Nice views of San Francisco!
My hotel room had no hot water in the mornings I was staying with you. I brought this up with the hotel the first morning of my stay. When I came back in the evening I asked for an update. Their explanation was that it was a "capacity issue" with too many people taking showers at one time. I am sorry, but you are in the hotel business, how can you not be prepared for this? Did not enjoy the three cold showers I had to take. Maybe it's time to update your infrastructure at this hotel.
No real apologies from the tech I spoke with, more of a shoulder shrug and basically said there was nothing he could do.
I am a Hilton Honors member and definitely will not stay at this property again.
Picturesque setting but seemed far from the places we wanted to go. You have to pay to park although there is free gravel parking across the street. No complimentary breakfast which is a big con for us as a family of five! Overall a nice place.
Lovely hotel. I especially loved all the sailboats and the path near the water. Quite beautiful. Sadly, during my stay, the hotel was so busy our room was not ready. They must've been in such a rush to prepare it they didn't empty the mini fridge of old food, and there was used tissues behind the TV. These were understandably out of sight places, but still kinda gross to discover. Other than that, it was a great stay! Beds were very comfortable which is the most important thing!
