Very good customer service and beautiful view of the marina!
Very good customer service and beautiful view of the marina!
Very nice facility. The pool is great. Prices are right for the location and view. The gym could be updated a bit, but still being on the water is great.
Just visited a guest there, nothing to really complain about. Lots of towels at the pool
Gorgeous, friendly and the best place to bring your dog with you. So many places to walk.
Great Staff! Rooms & Hallways need TLC
Cell phone reception is horrific due to location with all providers. Wi-Fi is ok. Gym is in need of more treadmills, security and doors need attention wide open is not good. AC sockets that can hold on to a cord plug, dirty ironing board, bad iron. No room service & everything shuts down at 11 pm. Thankful for Cookies! Review is by no way a reflection on staff they are great! Hotel upper management controls all mentioned variables.
Nice property , rooms look nice , comfortable bed, close to UC Berkley...... staff shoud acknowledge guests on arrival from valet on....
Broken and unlocked screen door upon arrival. Restaurant staff and food quality are terrible for the high prices. Definitely go eat/drink elsewhere. Very nice/helpful lobby staff however.
The hotel is older and in need of some renovations but still nice and clean overall. Was here for a week long conference. The gym was small but decent. The lobby, meeting rooms and outdoor area were nice. Staff was courteous and helpful.
Great hotel. A little spread out but overall quality is great. Beds are soft and my ro ok m has a small balcony.
The room was very clean, with nice views. The walls are a little thin, very easy to hear people in the hallways.
A different side of Berkeley. Beautiful setting and view across Bay of bridge and SF. Breakfast good. Convenient to downtown Berkeley, restaurants, theater, yet very "out of the way"
Visited for a work function and can only comment on the meeting spaces. Good location with beautiful views. Fair amount of parking and friendly helpful staff. But, the meeting rooms had very dated decor and not very big. Could certainly use a remodel. Food and beverage offerings were average.
Bait and switch on the free parking on Priceline: $18+tax. Big difference from free. Nice clean hotelvthough.
You pay for the location, a little off Berkeley downtown but the views are amazing and has a great place to walk around in the morning and the evening, a very romantic hotel by views . Building 4 is on the back and has less views so avoid that
A bit dated but with character. The restaurant is pretty good, too.
Good place. I can see the excellent scenery around the place.
However, sometimes I saw some defects on room service. The long hair was attached on the wall, and the bed sheet was having little unexpected stains.
Very poor (nonexistent) service for an older female checking In alone at night. No help with luggage, no help getting to the room a long way from the desk. Had to walk alone in the dark to a hard to locate & distant building. Will not return & can not recommend. Look elsewhere for your hotel rooms.
Nice views of the marina, 5 minutes from UC Berkeley if you're visiting, decent breakfast in the morning
Painful to stay at. Rooms impossible to find with a map. Staff indifferent, and of the 100 or so Hilton hotels I've stayed at over three years the single worst one.
Do yourself a favour, get some signage, and at least warn people of the 10 minute walk to a room with luggage.
The location of the hotel is nice. The rooms were a decent size and very clean. I was disappointed at the room service. Our breakfast was cold, the toast wasn't toasted, and the food lacked flavor overall.
Very well maintained, respectful employees and really clean. Great view of the city and marina.
Would you like to be isolated and overcharged? No internet available and charged 33$/day for parking but I had no car. They also do not answer the phone. Kim, front desk lady, made sure we could not change room. great! thank you for the awesome Christmas, I could not talk to my family.
Rooms were nice with good view, but the walls were very thin and the ac would occasionally stop running, meaning you could hear people walking and talking near your room, esp. at night
Not quite the standard of any Doubletree/Hilton I've visited. Front Desk staff were initially friendly, but any services became completely unavailable after 9 p.m. Requested towels and room service, and never received either nor was a call made to inform staff not available. Very disappointmented. Beds were noisy, room ceiling very short-heads up for tall ppl like myself-best to spend the extra 30-50 and choose a hotel up the road in Emeryville.
We stayed here for a triathlon event in Oakland. It's a nice location and the lobby is well done. The rooms are a bit dated and we had a lot of outside noise come in to the room. Because we were just there for one night, the quality of the marina and area didn't offset the quality of the room, so only 3 stars. Staff was nice at check-in though.
Room and staff were good. Was not aware that I was required to pay for parking at the hotel?! This was the first time I've ever stayed at a hotel where I was required to pay to park where I was staying!
Best stay in the San Francisco area. The staff at this hotel was attentive to all we asked of them. The room was great but lacking a refrigerator. When I called the front desk they got one to me asap. The dining room has a menu second to none. All the meals were great. The breakfast was superior to Embassy Suites and the dinner meals was 4 star. Oh, and by the way the cookies at the front desk tasted great. Great Location , Great Staff , Great room.Even the maids were nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
In my opinion, a good and romantic hotel on the water. There is a restaurant and even a good restaurant, but if you want to invest, before breakfast, a few hundred meters from the exit to Berkeley, you will encounter me in a buffet where the sandwiches and coffee are good. There is a reasonably sized pool, jacuzzi and gymnasium. The hotel shuttle runs out with great frequency to Berkeley and I was (because I do not know what's going on there today) with the front desk clerks who have been under every level. Have they improved or have they learned how to work?
Nice warm indoor pool as well as a hot tub and sauna
Very friendly staff at check in, and a complimentary cookie! Room heating and cooling didn't work but was fixed promptly. Very nice place.
It was a lot of fun staying at this hotel. We booked last minute and got a really good deal. It located right by the water with a really beautiful view. The room had a house feeling to it. We apprently had booked a 2 queen bed and the front desk was able to change it to king sized room for free. The service was really nice and helpful. They were polite and helpful. There are a lot of amenities avaliable at this hotel but we only stayed one night so we werent able to utilize them. The internet was free and we didnt have any connection issues so that is a bonus. I would recommend this to anyone visiting.
Unique by water and Marina. Jogging paths and views. I bit dated though and not close to downtown. Good for romantic and away from congestion
Ok hotel with clean rooms and a nice view. Nothing special but it gets the job done.
It is old and run down. A bulldozer would help the place.
Here for a conference. Facilities are nice, well maintained. Service was pretty good, no complaints. Cafe didn't open til mid morning, though, so no coffee to be had.
Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Try for a room on the top floor- cathedral ceilings make the rooms feel very spacious. Beautiful views of SF and the bay.
The good: beautiful marina/location, spacious room, fairly quiet even on a Friday/Saturday night, great location/access to Berkeley, a decent breakfast if you are a Hilton Honors member, awesome pool with sauna, hot tub, weight room, cardio equipment, etc.
The bad: lots of homeless people right across the street from the hotel, too much pot smoke (this probably changes with who is staying at the hotel), you have to pay for parking ($20/day self park or $24+tip for valet). The road in and out is also hammered with holes and undulations.
Loved this hotel we had a great view. There is a restaurant there where we sat out and enjoyed the fire
Hospitality there was beyond amazing. Peter was a hostess and his customer service skills are outstanding, as well as the others. They did a wonderful job making us feel welcomed.
Nice hotel. On the bay. Can get room overlook the water for $99 sometimes. Has a pool and spa. Enjoyed their restaurant. Liked the fries at the restaurant. Needs new locks on their sliding glass doors. They have good locks attached to the doors but the original door locks have been affected by the sea weather over the years. At least in room I was in.
Definitely worth going back. Be careful when leaving the hotel. Probably(it is) the worst road I have ever been on that wasn't dirt. Don't believe me, go to the hotel then drive back towards the freeway. Then tell me you don't agree.
It was very beautiful and everything is well cleaned
Nice hotel, no included breakfast and parking is expensive. Probably normal for this area though.
Hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Beautiful area and the accommodations were top notch. The only downsides were the concessions prices and the spotty cell service in the rooms.
Very relaxing stay. Quiet. Near water. Great trail to take a walk. Pool. All the amenities. Clean. Friendly staff. Place to eat. Cookies!
Room had someone in it much to my surprise. They Did not comp my room only took 1/2 off. Found me 2nd room which was NOT clean. Bathroom floor sticky, dirty, hair in tub, no shampoo, etc. NOT happy. I am Hilton Honors.
nice clean rooms, excellent customer service. building 4 is a good walk to the lobby if you are here for conferences held at the location
This is a dream come true to to relax and enjoy with your loved ones family and friends !
Carpets aren't very clean. Couple of sticky spots in my room. Otherwise not to bad a spot
The Good, the Bad & the Ugly-
The Good
Rooms- It was clean, spacious enough, and most importantly had really comfy beds. Although it was odd that one of the beds was Queen size and the other was Full size.
View- ours faced the courtyard but the marina is right there and the view facing
that would be really lovely.
The Bad-
Parking- $30 + tax per day? Really? Feels like a bait and switch to show low prices on their rooms. Would be much more honest if they included that into the cost as I gather most guests are there with a car.
Nitpicking
Breakfast- I know this is nitpicking and I know that the pack n go breakfasts are a must during the pandemic. However, it didn t sit well with us that we wanted to get 2 individual boxes of cereal with milk. That costs $12 because they charge $3 for milk. Maybe it s too small an issue to post but it follows the pattern of not being upfront with costs.
If those things don t bother you, then the beds, views, clean rooms and excellent showers were all worth recommending.
Great service and beautiful area. One elevator was out of service though.
Clean, helpful staff, nice location. Seems to be a go to spot for weddings. Very easy access from the city. Lots of parking. I was there to meet friends in Berkeley and it worked really well. Tons of Uber in the area so you don't need to worry if you didn't bring a car.
Somewhat cramped spaces, small selection-high priced gift shop, poor bay views
The hotel is a very comfortable place with a great marina view. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely book this hotel again when we come back to the Bay area.
Excellent Location. Staff is quite nice but not so flexible especially at reception. Due to COVID lot of areas/ restaurants/ doors remain closed. House keeping staff is excellent.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Poor service at the front desk. This hotel can't even provide free parking for their guests in their empty lot, and charges $16, and throws you to the street if you don't agree to pay and park. I told them a out the shower not draining and they just say ok have a nice day.
We stayed at this hotel 2 nights each time before an early flight. Beautiful large quiet room with a view both times. Extraordinary bathroom made to appear like an inside room with windows, including louvred shutters, above the jacuzzi. All the lighting could be activated from a master remote control on the bedside table. Used the restaurant both times for.
HORRIBLE customer service. Cancelled our reservation with NO heads up, because they said a "large group came in." They told us because we used Expedia to book the room (several weeks in advance) that they had no way of reaching out to us- which is a complete lie. They have access to us, as well as Expedia obviously, and could have prevented us a nightmare. Then they booked us 20 miles away at a different hotel. We were dealing with this situation until after midnight. I will NEVER use this hotel again for future travel, and I book travel in this area a lot due to the business.
Great place to have a couple of drinks after a hot day at the marina.
Clean, neat, and good service. located near the shoreline. Amazing hotel. Love it.
