They were awful. I went in twice. They wouldn't show me all the numbers and how they added up to make the biweekly payments they proposed. They tried to pressure me into buying then and there on the spot. I left and bought the car i wanted from Turpin kia in Carleton place instead because they were honest with me and upfront about every penny. I felt lied to and deceived by Donnelly KIA and would NOT recommend them.

When I called in to set an appointment I was told ...

When I called in to set an appointment I was told it was a 2 hour job and that i would be Ubered home and back to the shop. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a staff member whom confirmed my appointment and then walked away without saying anything. I didnt know what to do or where to go. I wasn't sure if he had gone to call Uber or what. Another staff member walked over and gave me a covid form to fill out. I
finished filling it out just as the first staff member returned. He took my form and had me sign a form (without reading it) saying it is - "giving them permission to do the work". I was instructed to wait in the waiting room. I explained that I was told it was a 2 hr job and that I would be ubered home and back. He told me it would only take 30-45 minutes so I just waited inside. I recieved a text thanking me for coming in and also telling me that I would be notified as soon as the work was completed. (Why couldn't he tell me that instead of texting me?) Shortly after I recieved a text saying the work was done. (Agian, no personal interaction) I was asked to sign another form (again without reading it - "you're just confirming that the work has been done". I was given my keys and told my vehicle was out back. As I was getting ready to leave I received another text "thanking me for choosing Donnelly Kia" Ir would have been nice to hear that in person from the staff member whom seemed very robotic. Very impersonal.

This dealership had a car online that looked like a great deal. When I called to get information I asked if the car had any accidents, turns out it had but they told me it would be fixed. I made a trek out to see them, drove all the way from Toronto to Ottawa. I got there to find out they were not fixing! Not to mention the car was filthy! Huge waste of time. This dealership has no interest in their customers, they were hoping to get me out there just to rip me off! Worst customer service ever.

I went in last Saturday to get my car checked before my extended warranty was finishing on July 12. So I got the 150 point check up on my 2009 Corolla S that I bought from Donnelly 3 yrs back. I was running late close to an hour and I called Donnelly and my Service manager Tanya Watson told me no problem , they would take me in as soon as I get there. This dealership has been taking care of my car from day 1.After the point check was done ,my car passed with flying colors. They found nothing wrong with it at all. I have always had the best service manager in Tanya. She has always told me what I needed in a pro active way which save me money in the long run from paying for expensive repairs. My mechanic Matt always took great care of my car and would not allow anyone else work on it. They even wash your car for free by hand which is a great touch. I was able to see Ben ,the person who sold me the car. If you need a car ask for him ,his great. The only sad thing that happen was that I won`t have Tanya as my service manager since this was her last Saturday working. She going back to school. Donnelly is lucky that they had her ,she was always professional and caring for her customers. Kudo's to Tanya ,she will be a great lost to Donnelly`s .They should find a way to keep her .I will keep bringing my car to Donnelly`s for service since my engine is guaranteed for life and recommend them to my family & friends. Keep up the work

First off, to anyone reading this, this is my first and hopefully last review I've written in my life . This was by far the worst customer service I've ever received to date. No one answers or returns phone calls leaving there customers in the dark as to the status of the vehicle . On my fourth time cabbing back and forth from the dealership to home, because noone would answer or return calls, I was promised by a manager to be contacted the next morning to let me know what was the status of my car . Once again noone answered the phones the entire day and noone would respond to my messages.
So once again I was forced to travel to the dealership, just to find out if my car was ready or not . Finally after three days of being told my vehicle would be ready the day I was giving a bill 150 dollars higher than the quote the gave me over the phone . If anyone has an option to use another kia dealership I would highly recommend it . Totally unacceptable customer service .I would never return to this place .

My cars steering stopped working and the battery began flashing on the way he so I drove right over to Kia. They took me right away and explained everything that could be going wrong in detail and helped me with some quotes. I thought it would take the weekend to order parts and fix the car by Tuesday but it was ready Friday night. I was so thankful!! The team was professional and friendly I ll definitely be returning to them.

Was pretty good. I appreciated the help I was given but had to leave the dealership in order for someone to contact me with a reasonable deal. Also was told sirius radio was included for 3 months with my vehicle which it wasnt. Pretty disappointing. Nice people though and I'm happy with my new vehicle.

Had my first service appointment and Jon was the most helpful advisor I have ever dealt with. Very transparent on the work being done and very welcoming upon an early 7am arrival. Thanks for making this a great first service appointment Jon!

Before we signed on the car the service was amazin...

Before we signed on the car the service was amazing and they would answer all our questions calmly, help us if we needed help etc... But as soon as we signed we were being ignored (not by everybody the person who was helping us was great) their behaviour did a complete 180, they were raising their voices and they weren't giving us answers. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

So i went into donally kia a few weeks ago to get my car serviced for an engine light they tell me i have an issue with my breaks and they need to be checked i said ok let s get them checked they come out and tell me i need new breaks on my kia that only has 40,000 km on it saying that my rear calipers are leaking And caused my break pads to be soaked with break fluid only warranty work they wanted to do was to replace the calipers that would take a week to come in so they let me take the car home that was unsafe to drive so i brought it to another certified shop to make sure the car is safe and i had him look over the car and the leaking that they say is from my rear calipers is from krown rust proofing and my breaks are just fine strange when the dealer is telling me no your car is not safe and wouldn t even pass a safety and saying i need to pay 1200 for new breaks so I went back a week later and did the warranty calipers and right away when i told the service advisor I don t have the money for breaks he starts off by saying they won t touch my car they won t do half the job i need to pay 1200 for all new breaks even tho my breaks are fine and not even leaking at all then they come up with if i sighn a waiver saying my car is unsafe and they aren t responsible if my breaks lock up and i crash my car they will do the warranty work so knowing my car is fine i said do the work so they replaced perfectly good calipers under warranty and didn t even bleed the breaks causeing my car to be unsafe so i brought my car to a proper shop that i know does honest work and not looking to scam people out of 1200 dollars and got them to bleed my breaks and give me back a safe car bottom line donally kia is scaming people out of their hard earned money for unnecessary work

Went in looking at a used 2017 Sorrento, and left with a 2020 Sorrento.
Liam lawless was our Sales Rep, he was laid back and easy going.
This guy knows his stuff about the vehicles he sells. There wasn't a single question he had issue answering.
We really enjoyed our car buying experience with this dealership, we had been to many big dealerships and felt very forced into making a decision on the spot, We did not feel that way here.
We would highly recommend this dealership and Liam.

Staff were courteous, and gave me a clear explanation of what was being done for my car, and what shape it was in after the service was finished. Waiting area is comfortable, with complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks.

Just bought a new car from Donnelly Kia. Terry was lovely and I felt didn t try to upsell me to a car I didn t need, unlike other dealerships (who repeatedly tried to persuade me to buy an SUV when I was interested in subcompacts.). I did have to push to get an actual breakdown of what was involved in the cost I was being quoted, but it was provided without too much fuss, and of course there were extras built into that cost that I felt I didn t need. Those were easily removed, and I did some minor negotiation with Terry and I feel like I got an okay, but not phenomenal price.

However, when it came to signing (about a week later) I had a bad experience. Typical predatorial car sales stuff I firmly turned down all the overpriced dealer add-ons several times, but with continued pressuring I feel like I was absolutely conned into spending $800 on undercoating, which I know costs nothing near that amount. I guess this is typical car sales garbage that every single dealership does, but I feel like the fact that I discussed the reason for my urgency (needing the car that particular day to make it to Toronto on time for a close family member s cancer surgery) was a bad idea, and led to them preying on that urgency.

While Terry was excellent, this last-minute pressuring after we d already agreed on a draft bill of sale has led to a lack of trust that may lead to me taking my service elsewhere.

Constant Professionals. John and Krystof where a real joy to deal with and really do go to every length possible to give the best deal they can. Every effort possible is put in to get you every savings they are able to.

Worst Experiences at a Dealership Ever! Bought a used 2011 Kia Sorento from this dealer and had the most rude staff from at that time their sales manager, to a pushy salesman who called me "dear", to a shifty lying financing manager who works for TD Auto right in their show room, pushing their high interest rate car loans, to the ongoing issues with poor mechanics and steering rack replaced and the squeak in my steering is still there, Service Manager Daryl told me I have to live with it! Let's not forget to mention the consistently rude blonde haired woman who worked on service desk who made inappropriate comments upon each visit. I have been there long enough to see many of these people let go, but they still have a few more to go in my opinion. This dealership is only interested vehicles not on warranty this is really where they make their money! They show more interest to fix the problem in servicing my transmission issue now that its off WARRANTY! Tried to work with Jim Lowe GM for Kia Donnelly, he just added more insult to injury, not interested in helping me out at all on an expired issue, that was duly noted on a previous work order. So I'm done with them. I have no confidence in any department of Kia Donnelly. I just want to note I take care of my vehicles extremely well with servicing and overall care. Next stop will be the BBB of Canada and Kia Canada I have only 118K on my SUV! Hence, this review! Don't buy from this dealership and don't buy a Kia!

I am trying to establish a place where I can feel confident that when my daughter has an issue with my Kia ie: an emergency she can take the car to a place that will take care of her and my car.
My most recent experience with Donnelly Kia gave me a sense that thus would be the right choice for all of my future needs.
John Babin and Ray were excellent to deal with and I look forward to further business with them.

Summary: Overall, I had a great sales experience with Felina at Donnelly Kia. I haven't yet dealt with their service dept. Giving 5 stars despite small cons listed because I had a great experience overall.

Pros:

-Very friendly dealership with an open, personal feel
-Smooth sales process and delivery
-Aggressive Kia pricing and warranty

Cons:

-Post-sales communication was OK, but could have been better.
-Pricing at Donnelly may be *slightly* less aggressive than other local Kia dealerships. This is offset by a much more open and honest sales process. Also, they were willing to toss in some extras, which was nice.
-Admin fees a bit high due to "Donnelly difference" package. Unclear whether or not this is actually value added.
-You may have to wait a bit if you walk in because this is a small dealership with a relatively small number of staff members

Of course this only relates to my experience. YMMV.

I paid for a "whole shibang" detail package on my Kia Rio and was not impressed at all. A bunch of spots in my car that were missed, and some of those spots could've easily been taken care of with a detail brush. I don't consider myself to be especially particular/picky, but I find the pictures speak for themselves.

I usually get my car cleaned every spring and fall and chose Donnelly Kia this time as a convenient option given the Covid-19 situation right now (drop off and pick up from work), which is great. Jon the service advisor was also great, which is why I gave the 2 stars.

The dealership, as mentioned in other comments, needs to work on their detailing methods.

Overall: disappointed with the job, satisfied with the service.

**Update**

Jon contacted me to apologize for the service and offered to redo the detailing. I told him that I had already corrected the missed spots myself, but my wife's Kia Sorento got booked in at a discounted price and further attention to detail with the exception of one wheel that didn't have tire shine on it (ran out perhaps?). 3.5 stars.

I've always been told to never go to a dealer for repairs or maintenance because they'll gouge you or what not. That has never been my experience with Donnelly. I purchased my van brand new in 2017 and they've done all the maintenance.

Liam was a great sales man and listen to what my wife and I were looking for.

After the test drive and doing the numbers the used car manager was very off on the trade. No games but this is what I feel happen! We were about 4K difference. This affected and offended my wife right away and with Trade rev and EBlock these numbers show the correct trade in 33-34K.

I went to Kanata Mazda and Purchased a 2020 CX9 GT and received the correct amount for my trade.

I would really recommend for other customers that he would really take the time to appraiser the vehicle correctly and not let a buy leave that was very interested in Kia Van.

Thanks for the time and best to Liam and his sales.

Took a very long time to have work completed
And be able to pay and leave. A 1 hour oil change took almost 3 hours. An 11:30 appointment finished just shy of 2:30. Appeared to have overbooked or accepting walk-ins and there was only one service advisor available.

Five stars for the service guys, especially the main guy behind the desk. He's a lovely person, and really seems to care about the customers and other employees just based on well he can translate what a customer says into useful instructions for the mechanics out back, and then translate what the mechanics say back into words that the customers can understand. Just a great way to make a routine service go smoothly, so I hope this guy gets the recognition he deserves. Overall, I have never had a problem getting my car serviced here, and the guy who usually drives the shuttle van has always been a friendly and reliable person, too.

Separate to that, I docked a star because I don't recommend the detailing here. The quality isn't great and it's nothing you couldn't have done elsewhere for less.

While I was there the staff was very professional and helpful.
But I noticed they neglected to give me the free wiper blades I was promised as a promotion for getting my winter tires on before Oct 17.
Also, my tire pressure system light when on. I called twice and left a message with the service department and have yet to receive a call back. I m trying again today; but I don t appreciate having to call so many times without a call back.

This place is a mess. Waited 30 minutes past my appointment just to talk to someone just to be able to hand over my keys. Picked my car and found out half the work was not done because they didnt have the parts. Because service doesn't know if they have the parts when you book the appointment. Extremely unorganized. I work for Honda and they actually check before making you an appointment so you dont take the day off to find out they haven't even done the work. Smh

Received my car in December. Everything was awesome until now. It's now March and this car already needs a tune-up, having what seems to be electrical issues and is eating through gas and oil like no ones business. And it is only a 2013. Sent the sales person an email asking how much it would cost for a tune-up, and have yet to hear back from them. It's almost like they sell you a car, and then you are on your own. It even has a 3 year warranty on it. I guess that means it is good for when they want to deal with you or have a look at it.

We chose Donelly Kia because of the Donelly name, and apparent reputation. Sales staff were professional and courteous. But where it falls apart is after sale service and customer respect. It's next to impossible to get anyone to return a call, and all we get is blown off trying to get service that we paid for when we purchased the vehicle completed. Unless they change their way of doing business, I'll never recommend nor buy from any Donelly dealer in the future. Just another example of corporate greed over customer care.

Avoid these people. They look down on you because they don't want to fix your vehicle and will go out of their way to charge you for warranty work. If you want a satisfactory car experience, go to Aylmer Kia. I live in Kanata but won't go see these guys again.

@DonnellyKia1 just got screwed over tonight trying to bye a vehicle, do not trust John the sales manager. Ask them to throw a big deflector in with buying a $40000 vehicle. Sure it will just increase your monthly payments by a buck or so. Got home pulled out the calculator and figured I am paying more for the bug deflector then it is listed for

I knew exactly what vehicle make (Ford), model and...

I knew exactly what vehicle make (Ford), model and trim I wanted and I found it, and the best price, at Donnelly Kia. With that said, I knew I would start the buying process right away if the test drive and visual inspection went well.





Between Chris and Rej, I am happy to say this was the best car buying experience I have ever had.



Overall, I am very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend.
