My mom lives in Northern Ontario and has been a member of CAA fot 30+ years. Today she was plowing her driveway with a Honda 4 wheeler that she strictly used for plowing. she is a senior who cannot shovel her driveway and got this to do it. She was plowing after a major snowstorm yesterday and got stuck. She called CAA for a tow and they refused. She called their head office and they were completely rude to her. She had to pay over $100 for a tow because they wouldn't do it. What kind of company is this to treat their elderly clients like this? I am disgusted. I was going to get CAA for my car. HA. Roadside assistance for me. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. THEY ARE SCAMMERS

I telephoned a week ago, and got an answering machine. I left a message, and never received a return call. I will try someone else today, and see what happens. My bills always arrive on time though!

Disappointed with service (Or lack of) received... called for service and my call never even got answered. A coworker has a corporate membership and can't get through to anyone either and the website has been down for weeks!

VERY frustrating roadside experience with these guys yesterday...had to call for a flat tire, and had to use their automated system. Guy shows up to change tire but can t get tire from under the truck as I don t have the tools for it (secondhand vehicle). Contractor didn t have a compressor to try to fill tire. Get told next day by roadside supervisor that it s my fault for not having the tools needed. Isn t that part of what I pay a CAA membership for? They them offer to tow me so I can pay someone to change tire. Again, that s what I purchased CAA for. Maybe if a human had answered the call they could have asked me if I owned the tools BEFORE sending the truck in the first place, and this could have been avoided. I would think a tow driver being sent to change a tire would have the tools required to get the tire lowered from under a pickup. It s not like they re rare in Ontario. As it stands, I won t be renewing with these people, and would NOT recommend anyone subscribed to their service.

On August 15, I called CAA to check my battery and possibly tow my 2011 Toyota Sienna. I called at 3:20 pm and after a half hour on hold, finally got an agent on the line. The driver arrived at 5:15. The tow truck driver boosted the battery which started the car temporarily. He told me that I needed a new battery which I agreed to have installed by CAA. The driver said that he placed a duplicate call, and that somebody would arrive with the battery within 90 minutes. This driver also told me that no action was needed on my part, and that I did not have to call CAA again.

Apparently, the tow truck driver gave me false information. I waited until 7:15 and then re-called CAA. After 35 minutes on hold, the agent told me that duplicate calls were no longer made and that no call had been made on my behalf. She also told me that a driver would arrive within two hours. At 9:15, the driver, Bill, arrived and installed my new battery. Bill was very friendly and professional. I was impressed by his positive attitude.

However, the next problem occurred when we had to wait forty five minutes for a supervisor to get on the phone and help complete the sale. Bill must have made 15 calls before a supervisor named Charles finally called him back. On the whole, I was very disappointed by the CAA service I received today. I expected a higher standard from this organization.

I have had several boost before cold spell. The battery I bought from CAA was no good. They will not give me a new battery until the cold spell is over. Which I have a warranty for. The supervisor said that I am lucky that I live in the city and that I can take other means of transportation. So for the next 6 days if I need to drive my car I will need a boost which would eat up my last bit of service calls. CAA told that me if I get a new battery it might not work in this cold.... We are paying for a service. I understand they are busy and I have no problem with waiting for my number to come up for help. But 6 days to get a battery through them is ridiculous.

I have used CAA on numerous occasions. Most recently I had a flat tire in my garage and it took less than 15 mins for them to arrive and get the spare on for me. I recommend everyone have a CAA membership. Its worth it for the minimal fee.

As a CAA member for many years I have always found the customer service to be great. I get really good rates when booking any of my travel services and there is a lot of other discounts at retail shops and restaurants too. Not to mention the great towing response time. Good job guys! Keep up the good work!

1.5 hours on hold. Then gave up after they said you can also use their web page or app to request service. Web site is not working and app is useless. Guys I know you're busy but you need to manage expectations better. Really disappointed. Times like this are why I have CAA. It's no good to me if you don't even answer the phone.

Terrible service, tried placing a request for Roadside Service online and after entering my membership number many, many times, it finally accepted my request. Then I went to track it and it's not there so I assume no tow is coming! I've been waiting on the 800 line now for 40 minutes with no response. Estimated time given was 25 minutes. I guess being a member for 20 years and paying $200 a year mustn't be enough to have a working online system or allow for reasonable staffing of their call centre! Time to reconsider spending this amount of money annually for third-rate service.

Useless. Having been a CAA member for years, I was disappointed when I tried to access services only to find out that they will play games to deny service if possible. Can't count on them in an emergency so I'd rather just deal with any potential situations on my own when they happen.

Very disappointed. Moving to Canada and trying to get auto insurance and I called and spoke to two people who refused to help give us quotes or understand the process of getting auto insurance in Ontario. Certainly not what I expected from Canadians---not welcoming or friendly at all.

CAA North does not care about young families! Disappointed in there customer services, spent most of our time on hold. Long story short we left our trailer behind, as our baby and 4 year old child were our main priority. CAA gave us fauls hope when we truly needed there services.

Don't buy membership from CAA! They will trick you to buy a membership if you are in a siuation, but then play a game with you if you want to canncel.
They process the payment in a second, but now telling me it will take 3 week to give me a refund!

The CAA team went above and beyond when my 6-year-old daughter and I were stranded in a Walmart parking lot after my 4-month-pregnant "mama-brain" locked the keys in the trunk and the trunk release was jammed. They set me up with a Membership over the phone (at a discount because I was short the amount in my account) and sent someone out to me right away. They told me if the tow-truck driver couldnt get into the trunk, they could tow me home and send a locksmith in the morning (double whammy at no extra cost)! The tow-truck driver was knowledgeable and very very friendly. He managed to fish my keys out of the trunk so that we didnt have to tow. For the same cost as a locksmith breaking into the trunk, we are now covered for the rest of the year in case my "mama-brain" decides to act up again. Thank you CAA for making this super-stressful situation a breeze to deal with.

I beg you to get someone to do the recordings on your phone system that:
A: Can speak proper English ("for quality assurance purpose..")
B: Doesn't have a distracting and unpleasant speaking cadence ("if you know the extension you wish to reach!...press.....2")
C: Doesn't sound like she's recording a creepy amateur ASMR video.

Worst service by far. Called at 6pm to get a tow service. It is currently 9:30pm and I m still waiting. I ve called 3x to see what s going on every time I ask an agent I get told the tow truck is 30mins away.

I made my 1st call through the application and the call center closed it without notifying me. When I called the center 20 minutes after the call was closed, to receive clarification, they argued that I was made aware. Once I brought the Call Center Agent to see how flawed the rationality and notification process was my needs began to be addressed appropriatly and the agent became helpful.

Needed a tow to garage so my husband texted me at 2:00 saying CAA would be there within the hour!! 2 hours later, nothing!! Hubby calls and he s told by CAA, oops, we forgot to put in the call!! New request goes into CAA at 4:30, told tow would be here by 6:06!! Guess what, it s 6:25 and they re not here!! Thanks for the fabulous absence of putting your customers first!!

Was told 45 minutes to get a tire to me for my trailer. Now been almost 5 hours Its 2:30 in the morning and my kids wife and I are stuck in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. Disgraceful and irresponsible don t begin to cover it! Loyal paying customer. As long as they get your money I guess who cares about customer service and people s safety!

So my wife had to call CAA for a flat tire. Since the flat was on the front and it being a front wheel drive vehicle I told her to make sure the spare gets mounted on the back and one of the rears on the front. They told her that "CAA doesn't pay me enough to swap tires".

I work for CAA, so biased, but I think the organization does great work advocating for Members' mobility rights (road, air, etc) as well as providing great value to Membership in terms of Member discounts on Travel, travel accessories, insurance and partners across the country and of course great roadside assistance.
