I bought my first car 16 years ago from Don valley North Toyota. When it was time for me to buy another car I came back to the same dealer. I had a great experience dealing with Sam Francella. He is a very nice and easy guy to deal with. Honest, pleasant and most importantly not pushy at all. He gave us the time we needed to make our decision without pressure. This review is specifically about Logan. While the dealership is nice, Logan was not knowledgeable and disinterested in my business. I came in with my family on Saturday and he did not have the correct information about the features of the Rav4. We went for a test drive and he didn't offer for us to drive on the highway - what's the point?!?! Furthermore more, he was on WeChat while we were on the test drive.
When we discussed the price, he pretended to speak to the manager. When he came back, I noticed that the price he offered was a screenshot from the Toyota website. And when I asked for a copy of the price he offered, he said I could find it online because it's the same price I would find online.
What a waste of my time. Never coming back.
Well, I was hunting for my first car and I had terrible experiences at some places where sales agents were only into making money from me, no customer service and extremely dominent attitude.
I met Marco at Don Valley North Toyota and the first impression was impressive. We only spoke for few mins, he asked me my requirements and took photo of my DL. I was asked by him to go on test drive, test the car the way I want, wherever i wana drive and will talk NUMBERS LATER.
This is what was missing in other places. They all wanted me to confirm the buy without test drive and not only that I was not attended at some places, even if i was the agents were rude to fullest.
Marco was always available from my simplest query to complicated one in approving my loan.
He is Empathetic, customer oriented and beleive in customer satisfaction rather just selling and cutting himself off like other agents. I went little above my budget just because I like the way I was handled by Marco.
Go to this place guy and look for Marco big smiling guy, Jason and Nathalie in Finance. They all make this place worth.

Shuja is terrible. Drove across cities, and was promised on the phone that price, and interest is negotiable. Turns out, it is not. He will not budge. Thats not really what we call negotiating. Like talking to a wall.
All he says and cares are he get no profit on the vehicle, does customer cares about the salesmans profit? in the end, customer pays for the car. He even brags how big Don Valley Branch is. Who cares about that?!

I went to get my oil changed last night. The person at the express counter gave me the papers to sign and the cost said $123. I asked him why it was so expensive because I never remember paying so much. He said it was because prices went up. I was weary, so as I was waiting I started searching my old credit card statements. Low and behold I paid $81 last time. I went back to the counter and asked how it's possible they increased prices by $42 in a span of a few months. He then told me it's because they used a cheaper oil in my Lexus last time. I asked him why they would put inferior oil in my car, and he assured me it doesn't hurt the engine and it's more of a preference in quality. I told him I'm ok with the lower quality because my car is a lease and it's being returned in a month. He then calls down to service to see if they worked on my car yet so he can change the oil. The service guy tells him they were already putting in the cheaper oil. That means that had I not questioned it, he would've charged me for the expensive oil while filling my car with the cheaper one. That is completely unacceptable. I'm going to make sure EVERYONE knows about this and I will never return again.

Let me begin by saying i was looking to purchase a vehicle as a matter of fact a Lexus RX. I found an ad for a used Lexus RX at Don Valley North. It was my first time ever dealing with them, what a blessing it was dealing with them. They are truly professionals who take care of their customer. After visiting several other used car dealerships what a difference you see when you buy a used car from a big and reputable dealership.
We dealt with Sam Francella ( used car salesman) trust me go see Sam he is an amazing person friendly, kind and very fair. We bought that used Lexus RX 330 it was in mint condition and it drives really well and it's so reliable.
The reason for the review is the radio stopped working I called Sam and told him of the problem, he said no problem just bring it in and we will look at it. He went above and beyond and introduced us to Ian Fernandez ( Service Advisor ) what another amazing individual working there very professional and friendly. They took the radio out and sent it out for service and while we were there he even gave us a free breakfast/lunch coupon. The day we showed up I noticed we didn't have the lock nut when we bought the car. These guys have us the lock nut for free just amazing. These guys are amazing I usually don't write reviews but they deserve it. I can't speak for everyone there but the two individuals I have dealt with Sam and Ian are top notch on my books. I will definitely be coming back there to buy any other used vehicle.

I put a deposit in January. The car failed mechanically. Today is April 8 2015. I still have not received my money. I am getting the run around from accounts department to managers calling me. No one has spoken to me other than my sales rep, who keeps saying the money is back in.
Had purchased a toyota supra few years back..Turbo blew up under warranty. Refused to fix the car and made up bs about maintainence. We had proof of oil changes done every 4000km , took them to court and somehow they managed to bribe my lawyer and lost the case as she missed court dates on purpose. Would never by a shitbox toyota or lexus again. Very shady people ..

Yes it did happen and the car was towed there after the incident. Claim was denied as they did not want to replace the turbo, possibly the engine as well. Maybe Toyota Canada denied the claim. It all happened at your location.

Came in for a oil change and when the vehicle was returned the radio volume was set to high and the tech left their used plastic shoe covers on the passenger seat. This clearly shows how much DVN Toyota cares about their customers vehicles and customer satisfaction. A couple of times I have lost the tire valve caps as they are not fully tightened back after air pressure check. Not much care is given to routine oil change services. Poor service by the technicians.

I was here about 4 days ago on my first time looking for cars. Im pretty disappointed at my experience. I ended up not buying the car I was looking at. I have a warning to inexperienced car shoppers. The rust proofing on a car is about 150 dollars (youre gonna laigh your butt off when you see thier price) and the bolts that lock the alloy rims you can buy at canaidian tire for 20ish dollars. If youve been Im sure they would have mentioned that they are the biggest dealership theeee biggesssttttt. Well they sure arent the best maybe the worst. Btw never review places unless the experience was exceptional or exceptionally horrible.

We went all the way from Niagara Falls because of the good things we had heard about it. And it turned out it was NO disappointment. They are fully staffed at DVN which is crucial for car shopping. Last weekend, I was looking for a vehicle with the budget was paramount in my mind. Marco listened attentively as I explained both my wish list and my budget requirements.
We met on the day we had made deal, initially my offer was not in line what was dealership offering, however Marco would like to show his commitment. He consulted his Manager, Ethan. Manager did discussed with me and share his concerns as they were offering well below the market. Ethan was also very co-operative and very accomodating. He stepped up and then talked to the General Manager and gave me the good news.
From beginning to end, my experience with Marco was tremendous. He made me feel as if my happiness and satisfaction was his only concern. I have already passed Marco's / Ethan's name on to other family member and friends planning to purchase cars in near future.
I could not more highly recommend Marco to anyone looking to buy a New or Used vehicle from a personable, attentive, patient, understanding and knowledgeable sales associate, who truly puts his customers first !
Not a very organized dealership. Every time I have gone for servicing there has been some type of "intradepartmental miscommunication" that has resulted in delayed service or extra costs. I would not recommend servicing any vehicle at this location. This has been communicated with management and nothing has been done to rectify the situation.

I tried several other Toyota dealers for a recall check, but it is the only one matching my time. I am very regret for such a decision now.
I have years of experience working for Japanese company and living either in Japan or overseas, frankly speaking, this is the worst one I have ever seen under a Japanese brand. The service quality cannot reach to even 50% of the Japanese company average level.
The service reception (called Elace) even blamed me because I did not drive through the building. Nobody told me where I should drive and I parked the same place as the last time. And she even doubted my home address, just because she couldn't spell it.
I went for a free recall, but another guy (Don) added an oil change for XX bucks and asked me to sign even though he did not know the mileage and when the oil had been changed. Before he did this, he did not ask a word for my opinion.
I believe this time they succeeded to let me remember clearly their cold faces for a quite long time and I will not make wrong decision again.

I have been servicing my Toyota vehicles here since 1992. Ted was the master mechanic and the service team was topnotch. Shout out to Edmund as service manager who left to take over Lexus service a while back. Since then, I felt the level of service has gone downhill. Service advisors no longer appear to care about the customer anymore...just caring about how to maximize service $$ work. I am no longer doing any business with DVNT because I have an American Sienna with a Platinum extended warranty from Toyota USA that honours claims from Canadian dealers. The extra step for DVNT is to provide a list of parts and work needed to them and they get authorized or denied and when authorized, payment is sent to the canadian dealer directly. Any difference would be my responsibility. Well, apparently that couple of calls is too much for DVNT to handle, and the advisor told me to take my van to Buffalo and stay overnight or longer. Well, I found other dealers who are willing do the legwork because it's just part of service for them. I texted and chatted with DVNT about this, but they no longer respond. Hence I am taking all my business elsewhere from now on. No apologies, no feedback, no explanation from DVNT.

Jamie was readily available to review the vehicles on the lot, eager to provide all information I wanted to clarify, seemed honest and realistic in value for money and was not aggressive in his sales technique. Throughout the transaction he provided excellent follow up and accessibility. When picking up the vehicle he was flexible and patient - I never felt rushed in asking the final questions I had. Lastly he was able to track down the additional accessories I required which was exceptionally helpful.

We were assisted by Ralph Shen 2 years ago where we were unable to purchase a car from Toyota at the time.
However, Ralph was nothing short of fantastic and we made sure to return to him this year where we purchased our 86.
EDIT: 39 months later - when returning my lease I was thoroughly disappointed with the process. While I understand the circumstance the world is facing at the moment, I do not believe it is excusable to provide such a disappointing and frustrating lease return process.
I was "assisted" by a sales associate, Mike. I called 2 weeks in advance to book and prepare an appointment for the return. I understand Sales people are generally not compensated for lease returns so I did not except anything spectacular. I was just looking for a quick, easy and painless process after a great sales, service and ownership experience with Toyota.
Unfortunately I received none of those when I arrived:
1. Mike seemed to had forgotten about our appointment, so I had to wait 5-10 minutes for him to prepare the lease return paperwork.
2. He then went to 'inspect' the car with his paperwork and came back with an empty sheet, completely unfilled and unsigned, which begs the question what he was inspecting.
3. I asked him for some sort of confirmation that the lease was returned and apparently that was not something that could be done. I was happy for him to just sign the inspection sheet and provide me with a photocopy. This wasn't possible as the inspection sheet was not filled.
4. After some back and forth he told me that I could not return the lease because the car was under my father's name (something that should be apparent in the data base). If this was provided me to at the time when I made the appointment I would've arranged for my father to speak with the dealership to allow me to return it on his behalf.
5. Now it was proposed I take the car back for a day (after striping the plates, removing all my items, and the 'inspection' was completed) and bring it back with my father. My lease ended on that day.
6. Finally after an hour and some minutes, he spoke with his manager who gave me a simple signed piece of paper saying the car was returned with no damages and that they would likely purchase the vehicle out. Perfect. This was everything I was looking for from the start.
It really is a shame that after 17 years with Toyota (We held and kept a '03 Corolla also from Don Valley), my final experience was capped off with this.
I've had nothing but positive experiences with their service department.

I am very disappointed with the lack of appreciation given to a returning customer. I purchased a new Highlander Limited in 2017 and I recently purchased a new 2020 Rav4 Hybrid XSE tech package both in cash. The delivery of the Rav4 was promised by the end of April but due to Covid-19 has been significantly delayed, I am now expecting to receive the vehicle in the first week of July. I requested some sort of compensation for my added transportation expenses incurred by this delay but Don Valley North Toyota is not willing to do anything, not even willing to throw in the add on cargo liner that has a msrp price of $178.50. I have referred people to this dealer in the past but I now see how they treat a loyal returning customer so I do not see myself conducting any more business with them after I receive my new vehicle. I would expect this level of service from a small dealership but not one that prides itself as being "Canada's #1 volume Toyota dealer since 1973".
Came in for an oil change on Sept5/13 and came across great customer service experience. From driving in, to the shuttle service and returning for pick up, I was greeted with a smile every step. I felt like a valued customer especially the service by Marlon Lopez who ensured all my questions were answered and my time was respected. As I've said before, any company is only as good as its frontline staff and Marlon at DVNT gave such exceptional customer service.

I bought a Toyota Certified Rav 4 from this dealership in April. I thought I have written a review but I guess it wasn't submitted. Anyways I was helped by Sam Francella. I went to VW dealership first but couldn't finalize the deal I wanted, went to DVNT and I walked out with a deal same day. I was helped by Sam Francella and co assisted by Shan Manojkumar to CRACK THE DEAL, lol :D. It was a pleasant experience and I was delighted by service of Sam and Shan. Few of my friends have bought used vehicles from both DVNT and DVNL and they are more than happy with cars and the services, its unfortunate I can't go for servicing at this dealership as it is more than 50 km drive for me. I will look forward to do more business specifically with Sam and Shan. - Thanks Manish
The dealership here is large, bright and clean. Sales staff were plentiful and eager to help. I recently leased a new vehicle from Bowen Tonight, who was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He went over the features of my car with me, and was very helpful and communicative via email as well. This is my second vehicle from here; would buy again.
Service at DVNT is superb. We had the brakes serviced on our 10 year old Camry a year ago. Recently we noticed they were making a strange noise and after taking the rear tire off saw that two bolts were missing from the calipers. Car was not driveable. Called DVNT and spoke to Billy Tse, Guest Services Manager. He arranged for a tow within an hour and covered the cost of the tow. After inspecting the car, DVNT replaced the brake pads and serviced the brakes and added brake fluid -- all at no cost to us. Thank you Billy and the service team at DVNT for the awesome customer service.
Our family just purchased a Toyota Venza 2016 and we love it. It's a great car and we had excellent customer service with our sales rep. Our sales rep name was Jamie Lee and he's the man that absolutely did his best to get exactly what we wanted, in which he did. We got an amazing deal in the end with the exact trim we wanted on the car. I definitely recommend anyone interested in buying a new vehicle to check out this dealership.

The service isn't as good as before- very disappointing. I gave them a call to renew my Navigation, but they were unable to find someone to help. I was put on hold and transferred to the wrong person multiple times. Waste of time. I called Toyota Richmond Hill and they were able to assist me right away.
I (Bernard Fernandes) purchased a Honda Civic 2013 last week. The Salesman was Stanley who was nice. However, it was the Manager Steven (Sumo) Truong who I was very impressed with. Being in the Sales industry for over 40 years myself...i saw a little of myself in Steven. He was very affable and knowledgeable, but above all he was sincere and non pushy. This quality alone is what I was sold on, money is a separate criteria. As well as the after sales service, for the rear view camera was astounding. I have found in Toyota and Steven what everyone is looking for these days.Honesty and Sincerity!!! I will always recommend my friends to Toyota...especially Steven Truong. My car buying experience at Don Valley North Toyota was challenging but worthwhile. Having been their customer for the past 11 years is something that I will always treasure. Negotiating, however, for a recent purchase for a certified pre-owned vehicle, however, has never been my expertise especially after you have spent almost half a day to pick and choose a vehicle that is ideal for you...it can really wear you down. In the end of the day, I give kudos to your team of people who stayed with me and carry-through till the end. Your senior sales, Hameed Chennan, and financial services manager, Vicci Lee, are the best team of people at Don Valley North Toyota. Teamwork for me is important, and I experience their professionalism, maturity, and interpersonal relationships which I will from hereon treasure as a customer.
