An emergency order due to an existing dinner suit becoming irrepairably damaged and only discovered as such 48-hours before it was needed. Took a chance, placed the order, delivered the next day, good quality. Saved the day on this occasion.

Are you serious. Within 7days. You don't need to assume, if the courier can't find it, then it's lost. I need it for my wedding, I used to work for your company as warehouse manager, this is piss poor service. I'll be taking further.

Are you seriously telling me to wait 7 days, having already told you my wedding is on the 18th, that's a Sunday. So now 6 working days until my wedding and you want me to wait 7, then you'll try to do something. Can anyone do maths there? Does anyone there know what a wedding is? I'll have to buy a replacement this weekend as I'm working next and don't have time. I shall leave this email trail as my review of how truly poor your company has become. Maybe you should inform your customers their orders are sent from England and is also where the rubbish customer service team work, actually I'll do it for you as you are probably far to busy eating biscuits and drinking tea. I expect a full refund as you have no idea where my order is after 2 days of investigation. More like you couldn't find it and now hope it turns up, because it's too complicated for you to find out. I'll also mention how you do your own reviews and give people discounts if they're nice.

STILL NO ITEMS HAVE TURNED UP AND NOW I'VE BOUGHT ANOTHER SUIT. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

I ordered ONE suit ,got 2. Both didn't fit so I ordered ONE more ,got 2 of fit. So I needed tho return 3 . to my surprise I HAD THO PAY FOR RETURNS. ALL $66 . what charges for returns??????? Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!! The returns cost more than the suit!!!!!!!! Suits run very very small .

When asking about the cost difference and asking for a partial refund to match the new price they removed the discount and put the price back up...

If this happens to you, do not try to resolve this with the staff and just purchase at the discounted price then send the originals back for the savings as they will manipulate their prices to stop you returning items for a new discounted price.

I don't have anything against businesses manipulating their prices for sales, and i understand many business do this as stock becomes low, but this was not the case, this was obviously manipulated after i reached out, their replies in the email were robotic and emotionless. Not something I would expect from a local business

I won't be dealing with them again.

It's a shame as their products appear of suitable quality, they just have poor and exploitative management/customer service. At least that's the impression they left.

Decent 3-piece Suits purchased for a wedding party of 3 + the Groom at excellent prices. They arrived within a couple days. Some items were returned for different sizes. Again, only a couple days. They missed 1 item which was despatched for arrival the next day once they were made aware. Great service.

Needed a standard black suit for a funeral.
Placed an order at 12.30pm on a Friday received the delivery by 3pm the following day. Very happy with the quality of the material and the fit.
This will be my "go to" for formal wear from now on as the online range is there for every occasion.

A friend had all of his groomsman order vests through Dobell for his wedding on November 20th. I ordered my vest on October 30th, (should have done it October 10th when we received the ordering instructions).

I chose the 7 to 10 day shipping option, which was a mistake. From the date of my order I had 14 business days until the wedding, the vest did not arrive in time. It actually still has not arrived as of the date of this writing (November 25th).

I was never provided tracking information for my package, which is not something you are advised of at checkout. You have to search their website to find a relatively small disclaimer stating that standard shipping does not come with tracking.

I contacted customer service multiple times after the 10th business day, attempting to find a resolution.

While not rude, two times I called I could distinctly hear dogs barking in the background and the other time I could hear screaming children. The ladies were pleasant, but the setting they were working in was obviously very unprofessional for a formal wear provider. This was reflective of my entire experience with Dobell.

I did not have the garment for the wedding and had to buy an alternative. I have still not received a call back about the "investigation with the courier" and have not been made whole. Thankfully I put it on credit, not debit, so I have recourse.

The garments the other groomsman received were not of very high quality either. A high level of variance among the patterns for ordering the same garment.

I would not recommend buying formal wear through Dobell. While the people were OK, the professionalism was not there, garment quality was poor for others, and the garment was not even there for myself.

An experience I will not repeat.

What great products, and prompt and excellent service delivery. My first experience with Dobell was Dec 2017 when I bought a pair of shoes for my son. He absolutely loved them. I have bought others stuff after that for myself. I will definitely recommend.

Would star lower if possible,
1. Quality of the items was shocking, far inferior to anything I've bought before, even from retailers like Asos who don't even specialise in suits.
2. The sizes are extremely questionable... in fact, both blazers, despite both being made by dobell were different sizes. Im most certainly a 36R as shown by the 6 suits and 3 other blazers I own, but dobells sizes don't seem to line up with that, the blazers reach far lower than they should and would probably be better labelled as at least a 38L, if not a 40R.

I very much hope I can get a refund on these, especially given that I will now have to spend time and money I don't have searching for another suit for the wedding I am attending in just over a weeks time.

I purchased 3 matching 4 piece suits. They were pre-orders, and gave me an expected arrival date. The order was delayed further by another 2 weeks but I didn t complain. When the order arrived, one blazer was too big so I called for an exchange, I was willing to pay for all return/delivery costs. They said I was over the returns policy (I d like to remind you this was due to the delay in getting the order to me). They said they could do nothing and made me pay an additional full price for the size smaller! I now have a blazer sitting at home, which has no use!!! No customer support/service once they have your money.

Excellent service - very smart pure new wool size 54 grey double breasted morning suit waistcoat was sent very promptly for the Father of the Bride to look his best walking up the aisle. After finally looking in the wardrobe 5 days before the wedding, and finding his old one had shrunk over the years, the new bigger one came to save the day. Thank you Dobell for being so helpful!

Ordered a Dinner suit & 2 shirts late yesterday afternoon for a cruise, delivered 10:30 this morning on normal delivery!! I was reluctant to order as I was sure the quality would not be up to much at the price....wrong, I'm amazed at the overall quality. You get a free suit bag as well. Everything is a perfect fit. I will definately buy from Dobell again.

Well, what can I say, the service, the web site and ordering process along with the clothes quality and prices were all first class. Because of Covid 19 we are having two celebrations so it worked out much cheaper to buy our suits than hire them. We ordered 8 suits to be delivered to different addresses for our wedding guests. As you would expect not everyone got their sizes right so some items needed changing. The returns process worked like a dream. One person didn't return their items quick enough so we started to panic. We needn't have as my email to them was very swiftly dealt with by Ben and everything was sorted in 48 hours. We send a very well deserved pat on the back to Ben and the other members of staff who dealt with our orders. Don't hesitate to use this company. Jon

I have ordered several items from this company now and I have never been disappointed. The quality is excellent, the prices are reasonable and if you have to contact them the staff are really helpful.
I have already mentioned them to friends and family.
I will definitely be ordering from them again.

Sorry this product was of a very poor finish. The suit trousers were finished at different lengths and the jacket was a poor fit. I am also made contact with customer service and I was assured I would receive email with the return label. This did not arrive after 3 days.

I am very disappointed as other items purchased previously were of a good quality.

If i could give a negative 5 I would but had to choose a star. Worst customer service experience ive ever had. Agent and manager talk over you, do not let you explain, cut you off. Had to school them to listen to their customer, not clear with their procedures, manager call not to bring a solution but only to make matters worse. Had to end the call just to avoid any further escalation and unnecessary stress. Complete hassle from beginning to end. Owner definitely need to train their ppl better and learn how to keep customers and not make them run away. Will Definitely not recommend EVER...not to mention the very poor quality of products, no wonder its so cheap....

I was recently in the market to buy a new tuxedo to attend several events in London. Naturally, I started my research online. Though from California I now live in Sydney Australia and as one can imagine in the land of board shorts that formal-wear is a little hard to come by here. If you can find it in your size, it is either quite expensive or of poor quality. I was looking to buy a great quality tuxedo at an affordable price, and that is what I found Dobell.co.uk.

If you're an odd size like me, it is important to be able to order jackets in one size and trousers in another that are all matching the same fabric. I found that on their website that they have my size in stock, and I was able to find all accessories that I needed to go with it.



I do as much of my shopping online as possible, and I was absolutely amazed at their service. Since I am on the other side of the world, I expected it will at least take a least a day before I got an update on my order. However, within a few hours of placing my order, I got a confirmation that was already all packed up and on its way.

Within three business days, my package arrived from the UK as promised, and I tried on the new tuxedo and it fit perfectly.

Thank you for an outstanding job of customer service I'll certainly be back.

I sadly have to rate Dobell as extremely poor, due to their extremely poor Customer Service.

My Mother, who is Terminally Ill with Cancer, received a DNACPR by her Medical Team in October, as such, myself and my Fiancee John, organising our Wedding in record time, in just three months, from October to January.

We purchased five cravats, four hankerchiefs, one tie, and six waistcoats.

Whilst coming to terms with my Mother's DNACPR, and still getting my Mother to her Chemo, and being snowed/iced in during late November/early December, it had slipped my mind to return the waistcoats, as the suits which we purchased from Slaters, have waistcoats included.

I emailed Dobell, and explained the circumstances, and asked a gesture of Goodwill, would they accept the return of the waistcoats. This request was, quite callously denied, without any compassion.

Therefore, I personally would not recommend Dobell. I would advise purchasing from John Lewis, or House of Fraser, as both Companies offer outstanding Customer Service, which Dobell, sadly does not.

Order dates were as follows:
18 October 2017
8 November 2017
17 November 2017.

These orders, were hardly months outwith the return policy, especially given the exceptional circumstances.

Note, that that was the ORDER dates, not the DISPATCH, nor ARRIVAL dates, and taking adverse weather conditions, Christmas and New Year into account - poor show Dobell, Just not cricket.

I never complained, when we paid for next day delivery on one order, which took days to arrive from Dobell, due to adverse weather conditions, which were outwith Dobell's control. Lesson learnt for myself.

Useless customer service so far, I purchased
trousers with the hem not sewn on one leg. I sent them back and received notice that they had received the item.
I asked them today when i was going to get the replacement and was told i had to send a photo of the item. its obvious that customer service cannot read emails or they would have read that I sent them back.
After more emails I sent a photo of the return postage and they are supposed to be sending a new pair out on next day delivery,. I have doubts regarding this.

Ordered item (allegedly in stock) and paid for guaranteed overnight delivery. Firstly the website would not accept card payments. On telephoning I was told to pay using Amazon, which I did, and the order was allegedly dispatched. Two days later neither Interlink Express (the delivery company) nor My Tuxedo had any idea where the package was. My Tuxedo had clearly no intention of trying to locate the package or to expedite the delivery, offering only a refund. For some reason although they claimed not to know where the package was they also claimed it definitely would not be delivered on the day I spoke to them. The customer service was appalling - the person I dealt with came across as arrogant. Curiously, on the notice of refund it was listed as "Customer Return" which was a joke as I had never seen the goods. Do not trust their site which is awash with 5 star reviews.

Not a fan of your US site. I ordered a shirt for a wedding. I went with regular shipping 7-10 business days because the wedding was about 15 days away. Not only did the shirt show up after about 15 business days missing the wedding completely, but I had to pay return shipping to send back. I didn't even bother to open the package. To add insult to injury, they refunded me partially. I assume they took the amount for their shipping cost although they were responsible for extremely late shipping.

Returns at no cost and able to use their box. Replacement also received promptly. Excellent service and for the price paid no complaints and would recommend.
