A friend had all of his groomsman order vests through Dobell for his wedding on November 20th. I ordered my vest on October 30th, (should have done it October 10th when we received the ordering instructions).
I chose the 7 to 10 day shipping option, which was a mistake. From the date of my order I had 14 business days until the wedding, the vest did not arrive in time. It actually still has not arrived as of the date of this writing (November 25th).
I was never provided tracking information for my package, which is not something you are advised of at checkout. You have to search their website to find a relatively small disclaimer stating that standard shipping does not come with tracking.
I contacted customer service multiple times after the 10th business day, attempting to find a resolution.
While not rude, two times I called I could distinctly hear dogs barking in the background and the other time I could hear screaming children. The ladies were pleasant, but the setting they were working in was obviously very unprofessional for a formal wear provider. This was reflective of my entire experience with Dobell.
I did not have the garment for the wedding and had to buy an alternative. I have still not received a call back about the "investigation with the courier" and have not been made whole. Thankfully I put it on credit, not debit, so I have recourse.
The garments the other groomsman received were not of very high quality either. A high level of variance among the patterns for ordering the same garment.
I would not recommend buying formal wear through Dobell. While the people were OK, the professionalism was not there, garment quality was poor for others, and the garment was not even there for myself.
An experience I will not repeat.
