Great company, good customer service and prompt delivery with great products- thank you
Incredible evening with Sue Quinn talking about COCOA to Diana Henry. Lovely chocolate treats too. Every time I go to a pop-up at Divertimenti I enjoy it so much. What a treasure trove of a shop.
Fabulous store, great staff, superb cookery courses. Unusual kitchen gift ideas along with unique kitchenware products.
If I could give no stars I would. My girlfriend bought a coffee machine as a gift to me for my birthday in June and it had already stopped working by October. She has emailed them and rang them but with mixed messages, plenty of excuses and no actual actions being taken. A month on and all we keep getting back is that they can't do anything because they can't get a response out of the supplier - something which should not have an impact on the consumer (especially considering the Consumer Rights Act 2015). We do not trust them nor their suppliers and will certainly not be using them again after this is sorted.
On Monday night I ordered online a flan ring - couldn't source locally - and on Tuesday received an email to acknowledge. By Wednesday afternoon I had a good quality flan ring which had been carefully packaged. Now that's service.
Brilliant customer service!!
Products arrive very quickly!
Staff friendly and extremely helpful and go the extra mile
Jason Somers was very helpful. He matched the John Lewis price on our Vitamix, answered all our questions, gave us an hour long demonstration (soup, smoothy, ice cream). Also the package was delivered on time. Dealing with a specialist kitchen shop made all the difference.
A most wonderful morning spent at Divertimenti shop. We attended one of the cooking lessons. We had a wonderful time following delicious food and wine. The products in the shop are also wonderful and great quality. I love ceramics and they sell Bordalo Pinheiro in the shop and I bought a couple of beautiful large pieces and I am extremely happy with them. The customer services is extremely good - I really recommend this shop. Will be back very soon. Thank you!
Knife skills course was excellent. Maria is a great teacher.
We went to Divertimenti for a Plant-based baking class which couldn't have been more perfect! The whole experience definitely exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to Samantha, who made us feel very welcomed. Will be back soon!
Did the Borough Market tour with Celia. A great introduction to the market. Lot of tasting adventures. A very nice tour.
I had reason to speak with a member of the Company this was my first order and my question was answered quickly and politely.
Now the Wine Glasses have arrived .
They are lovely and different I am very happy with them.
I was kept informed of the progress of my order .
I will be ordering again in the new year.
Fab day with friends at the cookery school.Staff were so helpful and we really enjoyed exploring around the whole shop as well. A real gem
Not only is it a true Aladdin's Cave of culinary intrigue, packed with things you didn't know you wanted in every corner, but the events organised by the Cookery School play host to some of the world's leading talents, offering intimate experiences and thought-provoking activities to help expand your cookery confidence. A wonderful place that I enjoy visiting every time and always has something to offer.
Fabulous quality of service. Delivery to Spain can be difficult but my order arrived very quickly and well wrapped. Definitely use again.
When in London I make sure to always go to Divertimenti. ! I also recommend their cookery classes, so inspiring and fun!
We recently bought a full set of dinner wear from Divertimenti as a present. It was a big purchase and arrived quickly but sadly three of the plates were broken in transit. I was in a bit of a panic as we didn't have much time but the great customer services got replacement plates sent out the same day, no fuss and well packed so this time they arrived safe and sound. Lovely goods and brilliant service. Highly recommend.
Simply one of the most nice and fully equipped cooking shops around London.
High quality products and kitchen tools, extremely beautiful pottery and very helpful and professional service.
You can find everything you need to equip your kitchen with style and design.
Highly recommended.
Swift response to a question from David , really easy purchasing from website with minimum rekeying . a good online shopping experience following in from great customer care (rather sadly without a trek in to the shop but do you know what I ve saved hours of time )
My first purchase and certainly not my last! Wonderful service and with quick delivery. Highly recommend
I just ordered a pasta maker from Divertimenti and not only did it arrive within a couple of days, they included some pasta flour. So kind and thoughtful, as well as efficient.
Bought an expensive ceramic knife that chipped the first week even though I only used it to cut vegetables. Customer service was unresponsive. High price doesn t always mean high quality.
Very enjoyable and informative class. Highly recommend
Have always loved this shop, they have great products and the staff are really knowledgeable and approachable. David helped me last time I was in and he was a fount of information about the eco non stick pans I was looking at and was able to point me in the direction of other products I might be interested in. They stock great brands, and if I have any questions or problems they do their best to give me an answer/solution.
Can t recommend Divertimenti enough, I always come out with something, for kitchenware junkies it s a must!
A most wonderful morning spent at Borough Market with a knowledgeable guide, tasting our way around the extraordinary variety of top-class food stalls from all over the country. This was the greatest treat. Our guide, Celia Brooks, was outstanding and the tour itself was beautifully thought out and arranged, from the glorious hot chocolate and pastries on arrival, accompanied by a short and fascinating history of the market, right through to the excellent tapas lunch complete with wine-tasting. Celia was at pains to point out that she took no commission and that any shopping we chose to do was purely our decision. But she was clearly a familiar and welcome face in the market, warmly greeted by traders throughout, and she'd taken a great deal of trouble to arrange special tastings for us at several stalls, carefully selected to provide maximum variety. At each one, the traders were happy to chat and answer questions. We enjoyed every minute, and will be booking as a gift for friends in the near future.
WARNING DO NOT SHOP HERE I bought a waffle maker online, when arrived it was cracked but would not even discuss a refund. TERRIBLE CUTOMER SERVICE, ARAGANT OLD SCHOOL AND WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS
Lovely shop, great stock, terrific service, I've been going there for years
Have done two cookery courses - one for French cooking and another for jams/preserves. I can thoroughly recommend Divertimenti. Informative and fun courses - learnt loads.
Order placed no problems, money out of my account.
Got an email from then the next morning saying that the order failed a security check, not sure why they accepted the order l but in any case they asked for me to email a bank account statement with the card number 'clearly showing' along with the address.
I explained my card number was not displayed on my statement, like all Australian banks I know there is an account number which is linked to the account which is different to the card number.
Additionally I explained that requesting a credit card number being sent via email would be in breach of PCI requirements (section 4.2 if you're curious).
The standard work around is to mask all but the last set of digits, the fact they did not ask me to do this is a clear warning sign this retailer has no interest in protecting its customers credit card information.
Either way after my email rather than reaching out to me they cancelled the order and sent an automated credit note.
My first encounter with this retailer, not the best.
Very happy with really quick, efficient and friendly service from Divertimenti.
I contacted Divertimenti a month or so ago to ask for their assistance, as a retailer of Cristel pans, to return a damaged pan hoping that Cristel would honor their lifetime guarantee on this item purchased about 30 years ago. The item was not purchase through Divertimenti so in all reasonableness I had no real expectation that they would help me in this matter. I spoke to Jason who, without question, offered to send the pan to the manufactures for examination and review. A month later a new pan arrived which was subsequently posted on to me for absolutely no charge.
Well done Cristal, their guarantee on a superb product truly is for a lifetime.
Special thanks to Jason and Divertimenti for incredible service in a retailing era where service levels are sadly in decline.
Fantastic customer service, super friendly knowledgeable staff, nothing is too much trouble. I have also had the experience of going to a cooking demonstration which was highly informative with a skilful chef who definitely helped me decide on which type of high end oven to purchase. Never disappointed with a trip to Knightsbridge s Divertimenti, always a pleasure.
Outstanding shop with Jason s team providing excellent customer & after sales service (in store / online). Just down the road from Harrods - treat yourself and pop in; you won t be disappointed!
Divertimenti is my absolute stand out favourite kitchen shop. It is packed with the most wonderful kitchenware and a treat for any cook. The staff are knowledgeable, charming and enthusiastic. Jason helped me put together a stunning selection of china and really took the time and trouble to ensure I got exactly what I wanted and was happy. That kind of service, which goes the extra mile, is personal and one that is not offered by many stores. The after service, too, is exceptional. Not only that , Divertimenti is a fantastic place to find original and thoughtful presents. I absolutely love it and can t recommend the store highly enough. Thank you Jason for all your help. Terrific.
I enjoy browsing for Kitchen wares here. I think that its a great store for those interested in cooking.
go to the shop to browse, but buy it on line you can't beat this excellent service
Great cookery classes, fun, friendly and lots of learning. We had a lovely Sunday class with good food and company plus the chance to browse and buy the beautiful product in the shop.
Divertimenti devised 6 clever cookery classes for a group of 17 year olds. They were taught how to make numerous basic dishes but to be inventive with them and they were economical, seasonal and delicious and mostly for vegetarians - perfect for university and beyond.
Great knife skills course - very friendly and informative. Enjoyed every moment and will look for more like it.
I had a family member who really wanted something from them for Christmas. I ordered and then sat back and waited, expecting it in the post a few days to week later. Its now a week before Christmas and I simply get an email telling me that my order has been cancelled and I have been refunded. No sincere apology or consideration that its almost impossible to get the item in time for Christmas now. Needless to say, I will not ever use them again. Impersonal and unprofessional service.
This store has an incredible amount of kitchen utensils that you can take home at a reasonable price.
Placed an order on 27th November. Still waiting after 2 phone calls and an e-mail. Quick enough to take payment but service shocking. Go elsewhere.
At last I can cook!! very enjoyable, and the wife is so pleased with me!
Sadly online service does not match the shop. Took money for items they did not have in store and then said giving a refund without saying which items being refunded and which delivered and failed to give option to cancel order. They have a lot to learn about online shopping.
Beautiful products and outstanding service. Thank you Divertimonti!
Fantastic shop with everything you need for the kitchen and also great for gifts. I recently attended a Supper Club in the downstairs kitchen which was excellent.
Great products and website. Buy with confidence from this fantastic independent retailer.
Love this place! An eclectic choice of premium kitchenware. PLUS the staff are so knowledgeable and NICE. Can't wait to go back and may also sign up for one of the cookery classes!
Go Divertimenti...!!
First up my on-line order was dispatched with indecent haste (so much so that an incorrectly coloured item was included).
Nonetheless, the issue was rectified immediately with the replacement sent (Jason has told me to keep the original).
So, all in all a very satisfactory experience with proof that Divertimenti's customer service is second to none.
Awesome range and great service from David. Spent more than I meant to which is always a good thing
I have been to quite a few of Divertimenti cookery classes and whilst they are all good the class on 3rd October with Fabricio Caro was excellent.
The food we cooked was delicious, plentiful and quite beautiful. Everything you want from a cookery class.
I will watch out for more of his classes.
I have now done three cooking courses, including Indian Food, Easter Baking, and Thai Seafood. All excellent. You can pick up some great cooking tips, and the whole experience is very entertaining. Most courses end up with a meal at the end, which is both delicious and sociable. And 10% off the far-too-tempting cookshop is a great encouragement to spend.
Lovely items and amazingly fast shipping. Last minute gifts made it on time!
Do not buy on line - they charge the same for one Reidel glasses as most other places charge for a pack of two - refused to listen when I phoned to query as I felt sure this must be an error (ordered 2 packs which I assumed would be 4 glasses but only 2 glasses in one pack turned up).
Great kitchen store packed to the brim with high quality kitchenware. I went there for a particular brand of frying pan and they had many sizes in stock. The staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions. The price were really quite reasonable too. I'd definitely go back!
excellent cookshop, very helpful, their website is down today, they need to sell round metal heat diffusing mats with handle for cooking ! Opposite the Brompton Oratory which is past the Victoria and Albert museum in South Kensington.
Divertimenti is the best cook shop in the UK. Probably the best in Europe! I never fail to find what I'm looking for - often esoteric stuff - since it's well laid out and the staff are incredibly helpful. But that's not all: The cookery school downstairs is fantastic! I went to an Ozlem Warren Turkish cookery class and loved it. It's a great space, you get to actually cook rather than watch - and then you eat the delicious results...a very happy customer :-)
Bought some SKK pans, lovely website. happy, and recommend having a browse!
We have look all over Sweden to find a special set of knifes. Could not find them, start to search on internet. We found them. But the store didnt ship abroard. To bad, we really want them! So i wrote an email. Super fast replay and best service in forever.
Money was transfered, knifes was sent. The arrived less then a week after. We love them!
I can only give them 5 stars but they should have at least 10. Big thanks for super service.
How refreshing to walk into such a beautiful shop and be greeted so warmly by the staff!!!
This was in stark contrast to how we were treated in Cartier and Hermes the day before.
Jason Somers and his wonderful team made it a hugely enjoyable experience. We left with some very special purchases which would be hard to find in any other kitchen store.
I was impressed by items like a "natural" cling film which is washable. The range of china is varied and very lovely.
It will now be a regular haunt for us on our London trips.
Awesome event and great team teaching! Loads of fun
Great website and friendly staff. I had a query about a gift I purchased on the website and the person I spoke to was helpful. My friend loves the gift!! I would definitely shop again.
Dreadful service, staff know nothing, mail order horrendous.
Jason has been really really helpful advising me how to restore a lovely le creuset non stick pan that I bought over 5 years ago. Real attention to detail and interest in how I was getting on. I can't imagine another shop being so willing to help. Top marks
Abysmal customer service. In an age when physical shops need to distinguish themselves from the mechanisation of online shopping, this place is dampened by 'computer says no' type employees. No point whatsoever shopping here because the service is so impersonal, abrupt and inhospitable it extinguishes any charm present in their selection of goods. One Italian employee was kind, enthusiastic and helpful but he was eclipsed by his supervisor who was utterly rude, resentful and irrational. I had even seen her fighting with another customer a few weeks prior to my own negative experience. Great place to peruse but skip spending your money here -go online where robots are more helpful and accommodating.
Amazing service!!! Ben and Jason went above and beyond in getting me my dinnerware and I got it delivered within the hour with a big smile. The plates are gorgeous!!! Truly happy customer.
Fantastic cookery course on jam and chutneys. Thought it was just about stewing fruit and sugar but far more to it! Brought home jars of wonderful produce made during the evening. All delivered with supper and wine. Excellent evening with friends!
What a brilliant find! Situated along illustrious Brompton Road it almost rubs shoulders with Harrods. It's a veritable Aladdin's cave of designer kitchenware. I visited the store yesterday to find suitable gift for a friend and left an hour later laden down with everything from a Swiss Army knife to a silicone sieve! The service from the manager Jason's team is a true credit to him. Thank you to delightful Alex and Walter for your patience and helping me make informed decisions on my purchases. I see Divertimenri Knightsbridge hosts some excellent cooking classes - I'm booking a place on at least one of them!
Every time I visit Divertimenti I just can't resist grabbing something even when I don't plan to...not only do they have everything a cook needs or desires, they also have the most fabulous, helpful and friendly staff, and a schedule of incredibly exciting events. I am ALWAYS tempted by something or someone at Divertimenti...5 stars all the way...(to my next visit!!)
Love this shop, super stuff and really good mail order service. Thanks!
Lovely kitchen accessory store with fantastic selection with many difficult to find items.
When I went for Le Creuset, I was off.
But from the showcase's point of view, a 26cm pot cost 78 euros on sale! !
A four session course, practical good humoured and with great results, the seven of us attending had a lot of fun too, what more can you ask.
If you like cooking and are looking for the best utensils and advice, this is the place to visit. The service by David is always courteous and very professional. Keep it like this
Fabulous cookery classes - fun and informative and with great chefs sharing their know how together with interesting tips.
