Very nice zoo, beautifully set up and yet not too far away. Animals look good. It is important to us that our dog can come along. Good catering establishments and a nice souvenir shop complete the day

This is a zoo where I feel at home. Traditionally a family business and that atmosphere is reflected in the pleasure with which the staff work there. The animals look healthy and well cared for. You can tell by the fact that D.P.A is doing everything it can to improve the situation for the animals, this cannot always be fast because this requires a lot of planning and some animals do not respond well to major changes. I learned this after having some conversations.

Super nice zoo! Many different animals, park is very nicely set up. There are more than enough catering establishments and 2 large playgrounds with a terrace. What is great fun for the children are the climbing routes along / over / through the animal shelters. That's how you get really close!

Very nice and child-friendly animal park. Not mega big. The animals are clearly visible and there are a lot of climbing and playing opportunities for the children. The only downside is that the route is confusing and difficult to follow.

Today we went to this zoo and enjoyed it in spite of the bad weather. It is a very nice landscaped zoo in the middle of a forest. Everything is very neatly cleaned up, you hardly even see a leaf on the path! Furthermore, there is very friendly staff that is also very helpful. It may be a slightly smaller zoo than others, but it has been taken care of down to the last detail! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful zoo. Old style, but well cared for. Much to do for children. Dogs can come inside, but often do not come close to the animals. As a result, the owner of the dog often has to wait alone.

Normally a reasonable park (but outdated) but due to the Corona measures in combination with a sparse staffing, it was really not this weekend. In many places it was too busy to keep a distance of 1.5m, the catering was insufficiently occupied, so there were very long lines everywhere, quality is also poor. In addition, I find it disturbing that you pay 24 euros per person (and 20th for a child of 3) and then have to pay extra for all children's attractions (merry-go-round, train, boats). The queues here are also very long and some attractions close an hour and a half before closing time. For us no longer visit to Amersfoort zoo.

For the children this is really the best,
There really is a playground or climbing route with every animal species, such as the climbing route above the bears

One of the most beautiful zoos I have ever seen.

One of the most beautiful zoos I have ever seen.
Entry fee steep, but quickly noticed where the money goes. The enclosures are fantastic, partly with two different paths. A normal and an adventure path over suspension bridges and slides An absolute highlight for children and adults.

Yesterday 6/17/2018 decided to go to Amersfoort Animal Park with girlfriend. We wanted to use our VVV passes with a discount because the website stated "Amersfoort Zoo accepts VVV vouchers / Iris checks." however upon arrival it turned out that they do not accept VVV passes. We found this very unfortunate and we still had to pay the full amount while otherwise we could just go out via jumbo discount for example. However, because they have (we think) after our "complaint" at the service desk on the website that they cannot accept VVV cards, I think it is good of them again.

-The park
Very nice park with nice accommodations, the route is clear and fun (via mass nothing signs you actually see everything) if there is something wrong with the accommodations (moved animals for example) there are neat signs that they are gone and you don't have to look for nothing.
We couldn't find the otters, but we think the sign will still have to appear there?

-The app
Very handy map app that shows where you are with GPS. where you can clearly see the miss nothing routes on.

-The food
We had lunch at the outdoor restaurant. Above all the food there were chalkboards with the prices, but the prices were but somewhere for example above the soup was bread and above the bread was soup this was special?
I think we stood in line for 20 minutes before we could order what we wanted, I thought this was too long. Then my girlfriend ordered a chicken satay, where she got the last fries. I ordered kibbeling dish where I had to wait another ~ 8 minutes for the dish because the fries had run out. I found this very unfortunate because it does not seem really difficult to keep fries in stock.
The squabbling looked as if it had been under the heat lamp for an hour. By the way, it tasted better than it looked, but it wasn't great or anything. The checkout also took a long time because 1 checkout was only open because the 2nd checkout was broken (understandable) but it took a long time before we actually sat and could eat

Lipton icetea Yeey: D no fuze (I had to say)

-Personnel
Many friendly staff encountered some grumpy people a few times but everyone has his day.
What I found unfortunate at some stays were guides that you could ask questions, but otherwise you really encountered few guides / animal caretakers.
We just happened to have an incident, we were standing with the penguins and (seems to us) a confused old man stepped over the gate into the enclosure. Then he happened to come to us and started talking about all kinds of things. We then kept him busy by listening to him in the hope that an employee would come but that lasted and lasted. Coincidentally, there was finally an employee who was just visiting who walked by and so when staff called in and then everything was fine. But what I am saying is that in such a busy park I expect quite a bit more staff to walk around.

I think 4 stars here on the spot I would have given 5 if we had not had the necessary irritation by the tickets and the food. But just 4 stars because the animals / enclosures that you come for were very neat and fun.

-edit -1 star Due to. No response Amersfoort thinks 2018 is just right.

Sincerely,
Jan-Bas

Very nice zoo, especially for children. There are many play opportunities and a lot of variation. It is a fairly large park, so choose in advance what you find important and plan around it.

One of my favorite zoos in the Netherlands. This is not a standard zoo with fences, but everything is nicely open, without mesh that blocks the view. There are pieces where you can walk between the animals. Recently, for the first time I met a sloth with a youngster. Special and beautiful to see. Very child-friendly zoo with more than enough play areas.

Very surprising zoo! Lots of variety, beautiful accommodation and plenty of toilets, eateries etc.
Extra suitable for children, but I and my group of friends have certainly entertained us!

Nice zoo to go to once. I just wouldn't go back because I really saw it after 1 time. The attractions that exist in the park can be used for a fee, which I think is a downside. Furthermore, a clean park.

Great Zoo! Fun for children and adults. There are a lot of different animals in good, large enclosures. There are several restaurants, so you can also have lunch here. There are also a few playgrounds for children of various ages. Some of the enclosures have also added extra things for children to play in, as well as places where you can see animals from a beautiful place. There is also a dinosaur park, with life-size statues of dinosaurs, with information about that dinosaur. Places that I would definitely recommend to visit in this zoo are the enclosure of the rhinos, the enclosure of the tigers and the night. The night is a special dark enclosure for nocturnal animals. There are also very cute sloths there. But if you have the time, you should really just look at everything. I've also included a few photos that can be helpful or just plain fun.

Nice park, lots of animals.

Nice park, lots of animals.
But like many other parks, animals are really in small cages!

Give those animals space, say theyy
