I have bought 2 cars from Dan Hamblin at Dick Scott. Dan and the entire dealership are great to work with and helped me find my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a good price and helping me to order my Rubicon Wrangler. When it arrived Dan was taking a much deserved day off and Jason Scott helped locate it (was in prep) and even gave me a ride to go see it. Sometimes you get a good salesman and then put up with the service department, etc... Not at Dick Scott. The service guys are excellent too. I had them install a CB into the Wrangler and the tech that did the work treated my vehicle like it was his own. Really did the job right!

Thanks Dick Scott... I plan on buying more cars from you!

Great job by salesman, Dustin Zarend on assisting me with my lease on a Latitude 4x4. It is better than I expected both in the car itself and this dealership. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks.

I came in the dealership with their advertisement in hand, and they did exactly what was on the advertisement. They fairly traded my keys for keys to my new vehicle. No fuss or haggling. I was testing driving a vehicles within 10 minutes of getting to the showroom. My salesperson, Dave S. was patient and accommodating. I've never been in and out of a dealer in one trip so quickly.

Absolutely crazy. So my Jeep Grand Cherokee has a ...

Absolutely crazy. So my Jeep Grand Cherokee has a limited warranty on it and it was having trouble starting, and also the oil had a smell of gas, so I took it in to have it checked out. I dropped it off at 7:15 in the morning with Mr Rob Goodlow and went on to work with his assurance that he would make sure I was "taken care of". At 830am I received a call from Mr Goodlow to inform me that the problem with the intermittent starting was the 'crankshaft position sensor" and it was not covered under warranty, (which I understand becuase it's not a full wanrranty) and that it was seized into the block so it would take longer due to the fact the technician would have to drill it out. Also that the reason the oil smelled like gas was becuase the oil sending unit was going bad and needed to be replaced. On top of that the jeep threw a code for misfire on cylinder 3 so a tune up is fundamental to fix the misfire. All of this would cost me 936.00. Now my dad is a mechanic but I figured of it was covered under warranty I pay the 100$ deductible and get the work done under warranty. Anyways I declined the work and went to pick up the jeep. When I got there i payed the diagnosis fee of 89.00$ and they didn't even want to give me a diagnosis in writing or a estimate and seemed like I was bugging them that I wanted this in writing. But I got it becuase if I'm paying the 89$ I at least want the diagnosis to show my dad. Point is the CPS was 24.13$ and it was not siezed into the block as stated by Mr Goodlow actually at soon as my dad took the bolt out the sensor slid right out. No drilling no pulling no tugging. The hardest part was getting the plug off of it. So I was being charged for more hours becuase it was "siezed" into the block and HAD to be drilled out. As for the gas in the oil it was caused by the sensor not telling the plug in cylinder 3 to fire and the build up gas getting into the oil. No tune up required no "oil sending unit" bad or needed to be replaced just a very very simple sensor to replace and a oil change. The jeep is running like brand new. And out of all this I saved 875.00$ becuase Mr Goodlow was trying to line his pocket with more commission money for work that did not need to be done. On a side note when I dropped the jeep off I told them I usually take it to Telegraph Chrysler for service but they were pretty backed up on service and he stated "those guys are shady" . Seems to me Mr Goodlow you are the one who is shady. Never did Telegraph try to sell me somthing I didn't need when I needed my altonator replaced (warranty) or my A/C head (warranty) . I will never return here nor would I advise anyone else to. You should not try to sell customers somthing they don't need or charge them more hours for somthing that is not true. If I could. Post pictures on here I would post the estimate that states the sensor must be drilled out and a picture of the sensor my dad took out still in tact with no drilling. . Please people be aware and don't be afraid to spend a little extra money to have a second opinion. That is all thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy review but I wanted to let everyone know what is going on here.

I had a great experience at Dick Scott! I just bought a 2014 Charger. I love the car. I test drove it on a Saturday and was at the dealership for less than an hour total. Alex Sky asked me a few questions about what I was looking for and took down my information. He wasn't hassling me or pressuring me. During the week, he didn't bother me and didn't pressure me. If he needed to know a piece of information he texted me and kept the conversation lite.

Fast forward to a week later, I made the appointment to negotiate the sale of the car. The entire process took less than 2.5 hours from the time I walked in, test drove the car again, settled on a price, turned my lease in, got approved, signed the paperwork and drove home. It was one of the easiest and quickest transactions I've ever had at a dealership before. I would recommend the dealership to anyone!

I really don t want to leave this review but I hop...

I really don t want to leave this review but I hope this helps others. We purchased an oil change package for 3 oil changes and it was the biggest mistake we could have made. After purchasing a new car and still having two oil changes left in the package, we tried to get the package transferred over to a different vehicle. We were told it was all set, took our new car up to the dealership to get the oil change, and they had no record of it whatsoever. It ended up being a mistake by Mopar and at that time the dealership was great about helping us get it resolved and called Mopar and finally we got the oil change from our package. Fast forward to our next oil change and after they remedied it last time we figured we would give it another chance. They had absolutely no record of us ever purchasing a package. They didn t even have the new vehicle in the system which is makes no sense because we had already had an oil change on that exact same vehicle. And this time they made no attempt to make it right. So we will never go back to that place for an oil change or any other maintenance, and we definitely will never purchase an oil change package again.

Wish i could rate this dealership 0 stars because that's what they deserve. I contacted the dealership at 4 P.M and scheduled an appointment to test drive a car for that night at 7 P.M. Received a response saying " you are all set for 7 P.M for your test drive, we will have the car out front waiting for you ready to go". Showed up about 5 minutes early and went and sat in waiting room. Someone came up to me about 15 minutes later and i told them what i was there for. The salesmen found the car on their website but after 10 minutes in the parking lot he couldn't find the car. The car had already sold the day before but they still scheduled me to come in for the test drive. The salesmen said he would make it up to me and find a similar car within a few days and fix the situation. It is now a week later and the only contact i have had from the dealership is two separate sales managers calling me asking me how my visit went and neither of them had what happened in "their notes" and said they would update and call back. Absolute horrible communication at this dealership and the worst thing about the situation is that i had to email them 5 days later because the car was still listed on their website as available.

Drove an hour to look at a 2013 Dodge Charger RT AWD that I confirmed was available just before leaving just to find out when I get there it was sold the night before. Of course they tried to sell me a older model with higher miles. When I test drove the vehicle it was so dirty, buttons were sticky, crumbs in crakes and crevices and this was AFTER it was detailed . The coolant was nice brown and looked chunky like it had been mixed with something. The people were friendly but that s their job, would not recommend whatsoever.

I have been getting vehicles from this location for quite some time, about 4 to 5 years now, and within the past year I was disappointed with the lease renewal experience. At the time, there were some new packages that came out and made for some miscommunication, which ultimately led to the disappointment. However, recently this location won back my business by helping out my in-laws when they were in a time of need. Basically, they were able to assist them with getting into a vehicle in their price range, brought it out to their home, and even helped them in lowering their insurance premiums. Overall, my in-laws were very excited and happy with the experience. Which in turn really made me re-think the last post I had made. I have since, deleted that post and will continue to get my vehicles from this location. Thank You Dick Scott!

I purchased a Jeep Wrangler from the used dealership 5 days ago, and the entire experience was horrible. The sales person was new and not trained, and the management and rest of the staff didn t bother to help her, even though the transaction took over 2 hours and there was only ONE other customer in there for a short amount of time. I had to pull out my own cell phone calculator to figure out the balance I owed... TWICE. When I tried to voice my concern to the manager, Tim Slaick, he might as well have laughed in my face. His first response to the my email was a very generic, this will be good training feedback for the new employee , then didn t answer to my reply. He only called me after I tried to contact the supervisor. His response was more or less, what do you want me to do about it? They do not stand behind their establishment, or their employees, obviously.
They also tried to add an expensive tire warranty, which I was never informed of, thinking I wouldn t notice.
I ve purchased a sandwich and have gotten more respect from the staff than I did purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.

This was my first visit to Dick Scott CDJR for service on my Jeep. I was very pleased with the professionalism, great customer service and the length of time it took to complete everything. I was looking for a CDJR dealership to take my Jeep and Dick Scott was recommended over Fox Hills. My service advisor Rob Goodlow was excellent. He took time to both listen to and answer my many questions. l've found my CDJR dealership for all my future service needs. Thanks for the great first impression and great service!

2015 Grand Cherokee

2015 Grand Cherokee
I Stoped there for an oil change which comes with 17 point check list, and also to check the transmission fluid. I was told it was going to be quick(35 min) since i was the second in line.
After 2 hours+ they got done. Asked what they checked and they couldn't provide me with the list. They didn't even bother to check the transmission fluid, saying that is no way you can check it since it's sealed. Clearly that's why i went to a dealer, they're the one who have the tools and they are responsible to check it. I had to talk to the manager since the mechanic had no clue what he was doing. He didn't even put air on one of my tires since it was a little low. Imagine the negligence on their end. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
I'll update since i got two more oil changes with them.

Do not buy a Pacifica, it's a horrible vehicle that we have had nothing but problems with. Dick Scott does not stand behind there vehicles. I have a 2017 Pacifica that had multiple problems. They wanted $400 to just look at it. I went to American car care around the corner. It was a bad battery, John had me fixed and on the road in a hour for half the price Dick Scott wanted to just tell me what was wrong. Do not buy Pacifica and do not buy anything from Dick Scott.

We had a great experience buying our truck! The only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because they seemed a bit understaffed at the used lot and the multi-tasking of the salespeople caused us to be there longer than necessary. Dominick was our salesman and he was very polite and friendly, and Brian was especially friendly and very happy and positive. Both gentlemen were a pleasure to do business with. Never at any point did we feel rushed or pressured to buy anything. We left with a beautiful Dodge Ram 1500 and we are happy we chose this dealership. Great job guys!

Have been to many FCA dealerships and had good experiences. This place is something else.
My car has been at the dealership for 4 days.
When dropping of my car, the service guy said he will call tomorrow and let me know how long/ what is wrong.

I got nothing.

Then after calling them for atleast 20 times, Leaving 4 voice mails and 1 online message. My call gets through and i get an update that my car needs a part, and it is on backorder.
I asked for an estimated timeline and was put on hold for 27 minutes. The service rep tells me he will call me back in 15 mins. No response.

Tried to call all day today, and finally got through to speak to someone . Same story asking me to leave a number and they will get back.
I am driving today and picking up my car. And going elsewhere.
Worst service at dealership experience ever.

Irony is they have a competing dealer across the street.
Blatant lack of customer service quality. And i will never go there again.

Went in to Dick Scott with my ideal car in mind, how much I could spend per month as my budget, and Dan Hamblin went above and beyond to get me into my new car. Looked at other dealerships, and no one could compare to the pricing and the customer service that Dick Scott has. Would recommend to everyone.

It's a car dealer. I use them for oil changes on my lease vehicle b/c they're the closest to my home. Otherwise, i drive right on past. Tried to purchase a vehicle from them a few years back. Test drove a few cars, got the whole process rolling, but couldn't get the salesman to call me back. Ended up going to another dealer, never heard another word from anyone at DICK Scott. Granted, these were the actions of 1 "salesman", but it certainly sours my experience with the whole dealership.

They were amazing! I was turning in my 2003 Ford Ranger and wasn t really expecting to get much trade-in value wise but they offered me $1500 to go towards a new used car! They have been fabulous to me and my dad for when he also bought his used 2019 Dodge Ram! I highly recommend this particular place to deal with! They never pushed you to make a deal or to buy! They merely informed you of what they could do and if you were still unsure of it, they would let you go see what other deals you could get! Amazing service and people! 5 out of 5, would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone!

I purchased a car from this Dealership back in March and the buying part was great, they did everything they could to get me in a new lease so they are good for getting your money but part of the deal with me being a realtor is I get oil changes free for 2 years and I presented this when I was there and they said taken care of. It was not. I have enough points for 2. I have emailed the sales manager multiple times and they should respond after the first time, which they don't and still no response. If I don't get a response today I am escalating this higher. This is just poor service. Can take your money but cant help after the fact. I will never ever buy a car from here again. Once I turn this in I will go to another Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership.

I've been dealing with Dick Scott, Plymouth for over 2 decades and they are consistently great at working with me on new car purchases. If there is money to be saved they will find a way. If there is service to be performed on your vehicle, expect great work! Would not continue to purchase from this dealer if anything was shoddy. Staff is professional in their demeanor. Enjoy your experience; my wife (Vickie) and I have!

Update (7/2015): My youngest daughter just leased a new 200 last night from Dick Scott (Jacin Lohman) and today my wife and I purchased a Dodge Caravan. Evidence of great service and pricing! We expected nothing but the best and received better than we expected. Thank you Dick Scott team!

I have purchased two Jeeps from them, no issue on the sales end. The service department has gone down hill considerably over the last few years. Most recently they stripped my wheel lock key and wanted to charge for a new one. They're the only people to ever remove a tire from my Jeep. Worst yet they failed to respond to my email. Will not get business from me in the future. So much for $80k in vehicles and a couple years servicing them....Hello other metro Detroit Jeep dealers see you soon!

You want a review? Well I will but when I am done, I'm sure you will not appreciate it. Because there was nothing I enjoyed or appreciated about my visit. Please keep in mind that I left my job to take care of this problem today. Took time off work which apparently your service technicians also did because after 4 hours only one thing had been accomplished on my truck. Today's visit included replacing the defective running boards and sway bar and links. The sway bar and links were completed but the incorrect running boards were ordered. Was that communicated to me? Not at all. Since I sat in a waiting area, where I am visible, shouldn't updates be given to a customer sitting in the same area for 4 hours? Or is it above the pay grade of customer service? Or is warranty work put on the back burner and takes how ever long you want. As a result, I have to come back for another visit to replace the running boards you failed to order correctly. Apparently I am getting a vehicle so I can go to work which I deserve frankly after this debacle. Just hope you dont pull it from the back 40 where old cars go to die. Bottom line....I give your service department a D today.

I recently bought a used car at Dick Scott. Bob B. was extremely helpful, along with his co-workers. He made sure to show me cars that were within my price range and had the features I was looking for. Bob was very friendly, honest, and genuine. STAY AWAY. They were real quick to make a deal when I purchased a lease. However when I turned it in, the guy who I was told is the owners son, short with spikey hair, first office to the right, was a complete jerk. He seems like someone that thinks he's a big shot and everyone is below him. What he didn't realize is who he was speaking to. I went to Cheverolet and the business was extremely better. Also at Dick Scott someone else who was a "manager" seemed like we upset his entire day by him having to help me. This place is a joke and it's a wonder why they are in business. Never will I return. I've also made Chrysler Capital aware. Good luck to whoever deals with them, especially when it's time to part ways.

I recently moved into the area away from my previous dealership, had an open recall on my truck I wanted to get taken care of. Dick Scott is the closest Dodge dealer around, so I went over and made an appointment for the following week. After having the truck a day, the service advisor was regretful to tell me they would need to put me in a rental car for the night until they finished the truck. Service advisor stated that the recall was very extensive and a large portion of the dash had to come apart to complete. After the second day without my truck, I called again, still not complete. I still have contact with a previous dealer I've had much better luck with in the past, confirmed book time for the recall to be 0.6 hrs of labor. I had made an appointment to do a less than one hour job and I was without my vehicle for trucking for 3 days. Service advisor had lied about the hours needed to complete the job and they also failed to complete some other service I requested for the vehicle, yet was charged for. Take your business elsewhere!

Happy with my new Ram. Truck had a small dent that was fixed free of charge. Wanted to add the necessary integrated trailer brake controller needed to tow my trailer at time of purchase but the part is on back-order until the end of February or early March. Brian said he would get it for me at cost when they start arriving at the parts department. That's the type of customer service you don't see too often from a car dealership!

Every visit to Dick Scott in Plymouth has been a 5 star event for us. My wife and I quit doing business with an other Suburban DRCJ dealer because of the phone sales people (dealer staff and showroom manager) being rude a couple times trying to hard sell us new models (a year ago) and being persistent even when we said "NO".

Our experience with Dick Scott has shown us time and time again that the showroom staff are exceptionally interested in what we want and can afford.

Looking forward to many more years of business with Dick Scott!!

Not real pleased with my visit today. Made an appointment to get the oil changed. Took an hour and a half. Received a text while waiting that asked if I needed anything while waiting, I asked a question about a recall and never received an answer until after the oil change. Went to pay, they didn't have my coupon on there so I had to wait longer. Couldn't pay with cash unless I had the exact amount or give up my change. Lastly they must not wash your car anymore when you get your oil changed.

I just purchased a CERTIFIED used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee last month and already I am having issues with it where I cannot put gas into the car. I took it into the service center, come to find out a part needs to be replaced already. Mind you I JUST purchased the car a month ago. Not only that, but I still had to come out of my pocket to pay for the issue, despite being assured that it had undergone an inspection. Not only that, but Nicki had the audacity to tell me that she had purchased a used vehicle and spent $2000 on it right after as though it were acceptable for them to sell me a car that would have to have work done, especially given the expensive price tag. However, before this issue I had a wonderful experience with my salesperson making it heavily disappointing to have to say I would never purchase another used car here again.

Update- from 1 to 2 stars due to Jim (service) for quickly diagnosing the issue and replacing the proper part.

Dropped off my leased 2017 Pacifica on May 2 for a water leak in the trunk area. Begged for a rental after 2 weeks in the shop and finally got one last week. Yesterday I received a call from Katelyn to pick up my 2017 Pacifica after 3 weeks at Dick Scott. After inspecting the vehicle upon my return home here is a list of my issues.
1. Button to close trunk not working now. It was working previously.
2. Crack in left side panel. Needs to be replaced. This was not broken when I dropped off the vehicle.
3. Left side panel not fully installed. Seatbelt not working due to improper install of side panel. Look at seatbelt on other side and compare.
If my child used this seatbelt would it work properly?????
4. Missing attachment pieces on left side cubby
5. Carpet not vacuumed soaking wet carpet smelly carpet
Metal under carpet very wet
6. Carpet not fully installed on right side.
I've just spoken with Chris the service manager and Katelyn and they are planning to get me a rental next week to take care of these issues.

I look forward to getting resolved and am shocked at the level of incompetentcy and treatment by this dealership. Chris is very nice so is Katelyn but this is awful customer service after 3 full weeks in their care.

I was disappointed that the spare keyfob for our brand new 2014 Chrysler Town and Country stopped working 3 days after we took delivery of the vehicle. However a service mgr at Dick Scott replaced the battery in it and got it working for me right away one evening after all the electrical technicians had gone home. Jacin Lohman worked with me when Jeff Marl at LaFontaine in Ann Arbor wouldn't! Jacin trusted me when I spoke to him about my recently cleaned up credit report and worked the system to prove to the people he reports to that this customer can be trusted. Late August 2013, I contacted this dealership in the hopes of getting a deal together to purchase a new vehicle the end of September after bankruptcy. I was introduced to sales lady Colleen Coleman. She advised me that I needed to start by fixing some things that needed to be fixed (which was beneficial to me because I had no idea), on my credit report and to get back with her when the bankruptcy finalizes. Now, I had been getting the runaround for months, so I was quit hesitate at first. Weekly, in the month of September 2013, I received follow-up calls, checking on me and the status of my bankruptcy, and advising to contact them once it is completed to help me make my vehicle purchased. On 9/30/13, I went to dealership to finally meet Colleen, she was super busy but she did not leave me alone, she introduced me to Anthony (last name unknown). He showed me the cars that were in my choice of price range, I picked out one in particular, test drove it, 2011 Chrysler 200 Touring, and fell in love. Colleen advised she would put everything together and contact me the following day. By the time I got home, (after 8pm), she was on the line calling advising that I had been approved (mind you she was already supposed to be on HER way home). I was remarkably impressed. On 10/4/13, I went to pick up my vehicle but surprise, surprise, she got me approved, same price, for a 2011 Chrysler 200 limited, which included leather seats, heated mirrors, heated seats, remote starter, and touch screen radio. (SCORE). I was elated. I would recommended Colleen and Anthony to any one I know, and I will definitely visit this dealership for future purchases. I received discounts off oil changes, thank you emails, and cards. What a great experience. Thanks.

Got screwed on an oil change package. They over filled my oil. Took pictures to prove it. I had to change my own oil in my driveway to correct the issue before my engine blew up. When i brought it back and told them about it and that i did another change myself, the advisor said he would see what went wrong. He said its impossible because the oil gun is regulated. Well i agree with that but maybe they didnt drain it all out??? I got the car back and they removed my high capacity Bosch oil filter and put the little basic one back on it. I dont get it. I told them i re-did the change. Why would you throw away my $14 brand new filter? All i wanted was my money back for the 3 oil changes i prepaid and nope, they got me. This is after spending 9K on repairs also. You would think they would just refund the $178 i paid for the oil changes to make me happy especially since 2 of them are not even used yet and never will be so i hope they all buy pizza with the money on me. All the other repairs were done great. Ronny is an awesome mechanic. To bad i cannot ever go back. I have gone there since i was 18. First car was with Jeff Scott and Larry Welch since then except this used jeep i currently drive. My friend warned me not to use them anymore. Well i learned my lesson. I couldn't even dispute the charge because it was over 60 days. It took that long dealing with Butch the service manager who wont call back. I was a very patient man while dealing with this knowing they would take care of me. I guess i cant ever think that way anymore. Now i have to find another dealer to use.
