Have a '14 SRT Grand Cherokee purchased from Dick Scott. I have left multiple voicemails for my service advisor and other service advisors (since mine doesn't return calls - Warren Scott) and I am typically polite. Have had multiple incidents and required intervention from the sales staff (Dan Hamblin - usually very helpful) to even get someone to call me back, in this case the service manager leaving a message at my house even though in EVERY message I have left and EVERY time I speak with someone I ask them to contact me on my cell. After honoring his request to please call and getting yet another voicemail, I am near giving up.
First experience required three visits, they ATTEMPTED to fix a fit issue on the steering wheel. During the first visit, they could not tell me they would have the vehicle even looked at for a few hours for a scheduled appointment and a simple viewing. After a full day without my car, they need to order a part. Weeks later the part (steering wheel control pod) arrives, should be a very quick appt, 1 hour, 3hrs max. WRONG, the entire day only to find out they couldn't install it and needed to order an entire steering wheel. Weeks later it arrives, appointment on Friday morning FIRST thing, 7am, very few if any customers there. By 3pm haven't heard from anyone, so I call and get no info on the status. At 4pm I call and find out they want to keep it over the weekend because "after hours on the phone with Chrysler" I was told so they couldn't make it work and had to put the old one back on. I politely informed them, I was on my way and I wasn't leaving without my car. MAGICALLY, in an hour mind you, the brand new steering wheel was on and the car was ready.
Upon previous visits I had identified overly squeaky brakes. Their solution, apply "no-squeel," which worked for about a day, probably not the best solution given the fact that they're brembo high performance brakes, but what do I know. So after that didn't work they were to order all new brakes. ONE MONTH LATER, multiple calls and voicemails and asking my sales guy for intervention (AGAIN), low and behold a call from the service manager to my house asking me to call and please schedule the appointment and that he apologizes and he doesn't know why I was informed that my brakes are in.
Left another voicemail for me esteemed service advisor. I can't wait to schedule the appt for them to take me out of my $65k+ jeep and put me into a base dart, minivan or something else that I specifically avoid driving, even better, pawn me off on Enterprise rent a car so I can lose another 1hour + of my day dealing with them only to be put into a heavily used chrysler product because they are doing me a favor performing warranty work. Brakes have been replaced and issue solved.
OIL LEAK, continues in my garage and the response I got from the service advisor is "we wiped it down and don't see a leak." This is the same leak I reported in November of 2013 but no one seems interested in fixing it. My suspicion is they don't want to deal with it because they don't want to give me a $90 oil change for free to solve a warranty issue and they likely cross-threaded the oil-filter mount thereby causing the leak.
How in the hell do these people treat Viper owners?!!?!?
As for the response to this from the service dept manager(s), try calling my cell. Its in your system.
I'm also going to post this on the SRT forum and FB and anywhere else I can think of.
Also, I haven't mentioned that a wheel was damaged prior to delivery but they promised to fix it. Until they found out it would take 3 days to accomplish now, no one is interested in honoring the repair.
UPDATE Sept 2, 2014
Warren called today and to discuss the situation and would like to know what they can do to remedy the situation. My response was that I do not know since I have since visited another dealer and they have fixed my oil leak.
I do appreciate the follow-up and look forward to hearing back from them again about correcting the remaining issues.
