We have had a very bad experience with Dick Ide. We were in the market for a new van and obviously wanted to check prices between dealerships. When Ralph Honda came back with a significantly lower price we went to Dick Ide with it in the hopes to work with them. They kept telling us to come in and they would "work with us" only to not come down on the price at all and just continued to waste our time. We definitely feel that they were playing games with us the entire time, telling us that there was another family wanting to buy the vehicle to put the pressure on us. It has left us with a very bad taste in our mouth and I would not recommend Dick Ide to anyone. Go to any other dealership and you will likely get more up front information and a better price.

I recently purchased yet another Honda (I think we've had 8 since my wife's '82 Prelude).
This was the third Honda I've purchased from Ide Honda in four years. I've used a few other dealers over the years, but Ide has a really nice, no-pressure approach and are easy to work with.

I highly recommend Melinda Pagliuso! She was very helpful and responsive. She did a great job lining up the models I wanted to test drive and was an excellent advocate for me during the actual negotiations.

My only nit is that the dealership ended their complimentary oil change service. I really appreciate that perk for the 2014 & 2015 Hondas I purchased.

Today the service department did a stellar job diagnosing my Honda CR-Z. Melody Gould and Ali Grose listened to what I was told was a major repair and found that the issue was not even close to what was initially told to me. Overall the service department was efficient and thorough. 10/10 would come back again.

Took my car there for a recall when I got it back my window was broke they called me and told me my window was broke but what was funny was that I never had a prior issue before dropping my car off there then they tried to tell me I needed new seat belts for both my front seats because they wouldn t lock which is completely false because they lock all the time my favorite part was none of this was put on a diagnosis sheet I will say the customer service is good but I feel they broke my window on purpose because they make no money on a recall

Very Disappointed. I went to IDE to turn in my lease and BUY A NEW RENEGADE. They turned me away and told me to go drive my leased Renegade until my miles were up, which was very soon.
No offer of helping me find what I was looking for, no other option was mentioned.
Well you lost a sale. I bought a brand new Jeep Renegade somewhere else. Exactly what I was looking for and I couldn t be happier.

Came in and requested an alignment for my vehicle and to check on a problem with the fan coming on in my car after it s turned off and also an oil change. I had a service agreement with ide Mazda for free oil changes including the oil and when I went to ide Honda they charged me for the oil or did not care to explain the charges. I am disappointed mostly because there were other services that also were not requested but were done and charged anyway. This will be the last time I go here for repairs. I am also disappointed in Mike who was helping me for not even mentioning the extra charges and it seems it was done intentionally to mislead me as he was very forthcoming about the other agreed upon charges.

They refused to pass my inspection because they told me that the power steering rack was leading and needed to be replaced. Took it to another mechanic who replaced the lines instead of the rack for $15 instead of $350. Said they were trying to get me to pay for work that was not necessary. They also fixed a power sliding door on a van only to have it break again about a month later. Took it to another mechanic who chatted about half the price and actually fixed it. Wait is always longer than they say it will be, and they don't honor appointments.

The Service department is excellent, the service managers are all very helpful and friendly. They will assist in getting the job done quick and do not push services that you don't need. The waiting area is always very clean, with an assortment of fresh coffee choices and healthy snacks as well for you while you wait. There are a few desks available along with free WiFi if you ever need to do work while you wait.

I purchased wiper blade inserts around $9 each it was 9 degrees outside and the parts guy volunteered to go out in freezing cold and install them at no charge. Needless to say I was very happy with the service! I will be shopping there again.

We were in the market for a used Mazda and arrived at Ide after going to another dealership earlier in the day. I wish we didn't waste time at the first dealership.

Everyone from the person greeting you at the door to the owner has been friendly and outstanding to work with. Even more important to me, they have been upfront and honest with pricing, which we didn't receive at the "other" dealership.

I highly recommend working with Al to acquire and Tony to finance your next new or used vehicle purchase!

This was my first new car lease experience, and I have to say I was overjoyed with how easy the process was. Dick Ide's terms are easy and straight forward. No hidden fees, when they say $XXX and drive, they mean it. Easy, and transparent. The even cover basic maintenance during the time of the lease.

Paul was a fantastic salesman. He was straight forward, made good recommendations, and did not make me feel pressured into anything I didn't want. He went over the whole process with great detail, and made me feel empowered to make this purchase. Not to mention is Vodka Sauce recipe! If you go there, seek this man out!

I love my new Civic LX. Fun to drive, with tons of tech out of the gate. Thanks Paul and Dick Ide, keep up the good work and you'll see me coming back time and time again!

I immediately felt like I was talking to someone I could trust, rather than someone who was just trying to make a sale. I wasn't in the most ideal situation when I got my new Civic, but Kiersten along with Rich from the finance department went above and beyond to make sure I got what I wanted within my price range. I had to purchase a new car for my grandmother, someone suggested Ide Honda to me. When I sat down with Brad Constantino and was blown away with his knowledge and professionalism. People say Honda s sell themselves, but it's really the interaction with your salesperson and the courtesy of the dealership staff that really gets the cars off the lot. I m a numbers guy, I have to see all the details on a page in order to make a decision and Brad went above and beyond to ensure I knew exactly what was going on at all times. The finance staff was impeccable with every detail of the contract and made sure I knew exactly what I was signing. Brad even brought me a cup of coffee while I was going over the contract. If you're in the market for a new Honda look no further than Ide Honda, and be sure to ask for Brad.

In early 2016, I purchased a new Honda CRV from Ide Honda. I have owned Hondas for almost 20 years. While I looked at a couple of other options (Toyota, Ford, Nissan), I chose another Honda based on my history with them.
The buying experience was great. We worked out a deal I believe we were all happy with.
Less than a year after purchasing the CRV, I was rear ended coming home from work one day on 590. I took my CRV to Honda Collision in East Rochester and service was efficient and seamless. The team there was fantastic!
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for your service department. Every service experience I have had since buying the car has been negative. From trying to sell me services that a new car should not need to not notifying me when my car is ready for pick, or when waiting for service telling me it will be less than an hour and ending up spending an hour and a half waiting for my car to be done. Since when does an oil change take an hour and a half?
This most recent instance was last week. I tried to book a simple oil change on your website and just booking the appointment, they try to get you to buy more service. I wasn t even sure which service I wanted. Service A changes your oil and service B changes the filter. Shouldn t a filter change be part of an oil change?? I tried to call several times to speak to someone but no one ever answers the phone. I left a message on Saturday 9/9/17 and never received a call back. My husband finally called and insisted on speaking to the service manager Mark Frye. Mark told my husband that someone called me back but my voicemail was full. This is a complete lie. I will show you my phone records. No missed calls. My voicemail has never been full for as long as I have owned a cell phone. I do not keep messages. Mark told my husband he would send him a screenshot proving a call was made at 10:54 am on 9/11/17 but he never did. My husband then sent an email reminder for this and never even got a response. Mark also said that we needed to call service directly to get someone to answer the phone. (We called the main line and asked for service and were transferred.) Lies, lies and more lies. They are obviously nothing more than a bunch of crooks. I will be taking my car elsewhere for any service needs in the future as the service department at Ide Honda cannot be trusted.
The purchase of my car included free oil changes for life so perhaps this is the reason that your service is so horrible. I m sorry if it s an inconvenience to provide free service but if so DON T OFFER IT. I bet your paying customers get much better service but what is sad is that if I had received good service, I d bring my car in for things that weren t free. Instead not only will I no longer be bringing my car in for oil changes, I will not be doing business with IDE Honda on any level. Thankfully there are other Honda options in Rochester. Maybe this is your plan all along to drive away the people you sold this free service to.
Shame on you.

Awesome experience! Leigh was great through the whole process. He listened to what we were looking for and made it happen. Also a great job by Jake who made all the paperwork easy to get through. The car was ready for pick-up as scheduled and Leigh took the time to show us all the functions and preset what needed to be done.

After hitting golf balls at Big Oak I observed a Dick Ide Honda employee peeling out in a brand new 2017 or 18 Honda Civic Si. He chirpped into 2nd gear then proceed to mis 3rd gear reaving the car hitting the rev limiter grinding the gears very badly twice. What an absolutly terrible thing to whitness as this now tainted desirable car is ruined. Stay clear of this car dealership unless you want a brand new car that has been severely mistreated.

General Public \ Customers: Please Disregard the response from Dick Ide Honda. I have confirmation that the driver was indeed an affiliate of the dealership. This was NOT a customer driving the car. What a poor attempt to cover up a blatant display of incompetence. Own up to your mistake and mistreatment of your vehicle

Horrible horrible, I went in to get a routine oil change. I waited over an hour which is fine that's routine. Then they usually check my battery, fluids and tires etc. They usually give me a paper w their recommendations ( which I find super helpful). Everything was marked green ( meaning great condition). Next day, I drive to work on lunch go on errands and my car won't start! I start panicking I called the dealer they wanted me to take in to them. I said I can't my start won't start. They were not helpful at all. My husband then leaves work to come to help me, gives me a jump and we take it to auto zone. My battery is dead!!!! I have the guy check it a few times because I had just taken it to the dealership the day earlier and they marked off as great condition. I get a new battery! I Proceeded to call honda to explain to them what happened and the lady on the phone was beyond rude, not only did she not care but she also acted like I was bothering her. She then transfers me to the rep that helped me. I explain to him that it's unacceptable! I lost half day at work and so did my husband, and you marked like it was checked and it was not. I even said hey if you would of really checked my battery and told me i needed one. I would of brought one from you guys. At least don't mark something you have not checked. No one has called me back, I did request a call back! I am disgusted and will never buy or service w Honda again.

with. He was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful with all my silly questions. Gerry made me feel very comfortable as a single older woman buying a vehicle. That s not the case at other places I went looking for a car. He mentioned several times that he just wanted to make sure I was happy. I d be pleased to go to Gerry at IDE Honda again in the future.

I would give this dealership 5 stars but there were a couple of small issues and misunderstandings. Overall, Mark Frey was fantastic with his professionalism and ability to correct the issues. Due to this dealers incredibly high grades and reviews, I will continue to have my accord serviced here.

Brad Constantino is my salesman, and he is excellent. This is our household's 9th vehicle from him. I will never buy another car from anyone other than Brad. He is always available to help me when I need it, and goes above and beyond every time. I cannot say enough about him.
Mark Mccaffery the sales manager is super. He has helped me in the past numerous times, and is always available to assist me. He is very fair.
Russ in Service department is one of a kind. He services my vehicles fairly, not forcing me to do unnecessary services.
Mike M. in service is also very accommodating, and patient.
Mark Frey the service manager has also helped me a great deal in the past, I am confident that I can have him address and issues that arise.
Should a problem arise, I know they will go above and beyond.
I continue to recommend this dealership to many of my friends and family. I will continue to do so indefinitely.
Rich Ide the vice president is also very hands on and shows that he cares.

Worst dealership EVER. Took my civic somewhere else to get my oil done and I asked them to check the AC because it is not blowing cold air and I paid to have it charged and checked for leaks. When they couldn't find anything They said take it to a Honda dealership for further diagnostic. Walked in to the service department and explained the situation. Was immediately told that would be $117 plus tax plus whatever else was wrong- didn't even look at the car! I showed them my receipt from the place I left 10 mins prior and they just shrugged heir shoulders. Then they walked around my car and pointed out to me all the "scratches" it had. (Not sure why) Told the guy forget it and I would go elsewhere because they were being rude. He said ok have a great day and offered no other help. Worthless. The whole issue is how they treated me in the service area. They just want money and have no Interest in helping customers. Stay away, will never buy a Honda again!

I had 3 days to decide on and buy a car. On the first day I went to twelve dealerships, at some of which no sales people bothered to get up when I came in (even when they weren't working with anyone!), made me wait 10 minutes for anyone to approach me, or acted like they were doing me a favor to speak with me. Not so at Ide Honda. You are greeted immediately by the front receptionist and if a dealer sees you coming into the dealership through the window they are waiting at the front door as you enter. Rick was waiting and genuinely pleasant and upbeat.

When I was ready to buy I wanted to make the deal with Rick rather than a competitor with the same price. It wasn't just that he knew the car and was able to answer all my questions - it was that in dealing with him I had a good time rather than being stressed and anxious. It was well worth the few extra seconds to go back to Ide. And when I picked up the car the next day he patiently explained everything in the car. I haven't owned a car in 20 years so let's just say I wasn't quite up to speed.
He treated each question with respect.

When I started this process I did not realize how important that salesperson would be to my experience of buying a car. So now I have a great car and a great memory of buying my car. Thanks Rick Damico and Ide Honda for providing such an amazing experience!!

I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from Dick Ide. After nearly a week of dealing with another dealership in Syracuse and not having a vehicle, I took my business to Dick Ide. (You can read my review for Lamacchia Honda for all the horrible details of dealing with them). At Dick Ide, I dealt directly with the Sales Manager, Roberto. He was absolutely amazing! He gave me the same deal as the prior dealership and even took off for the rental vehicle that I had to purchase out of pocket. I also got rust proofing, since NYS uses salt on the roads during the winter. We went through all my payment options, he showed me the vehicle I was purchasing and we joked that I could actually touch it (since I never actually saw the vehicle I was trying to purchase in Syracuse). He gave me his card and told me that if I ever had any problems to call him directly. And I had my vehicle the very next day! Hondas last forever, but I fully intend on remaining a loyal customer to Dick Ide.

Good sales team, Rick is the man! Ide lacks a reliable service department, my car always comes back filthy with oily hand Marks on my interior. The service department takes an extremely long time to complete the simplest of car maintenance and still have to bring it back because they can't even preform a proper alignment, very unhelpful service staff that rarely answers the phone and never calls customers back, very disappointed and won't be buying another vehicle from Ide.

So I went to Dick Ide Honda in Penfield to ask about the HR-V. Part of my doing my due diligence, shopping around, price comparison, etc. As I walked towards the front door, I can see this dude in the window eyeing me. I know he isn't doing anything. As the wife and I enter the lobby, we were greeted by the receptionist, lukewarm at best. We told her why we were there. She paged for a salesman to come and help us. About 5 minutes later, the same dude who were eyeing me from the window came out. I know you weren't doing anything; what took you so long? Anyway, again we expressed our interest in the HR-V. He looked at some log book, walked away, came back, walked away, came back again, did it a few times. What the f*** dude? Every dealer I went to asked us to have a seat, even offered beverages. Dick Ide? I was standing in the lobby the entire time. If I'm going finance $25k for a car, I better be treated like a God. This salesman acts like I was some beggar off the street. He made it sounds like he didn't even want to sell me a car. But, I digress.

They might have dropped the "Dick" from their name but they are still acting like one. They definitely won't be getting any of my business.

I have gotten two vehicles from Brad Constantino. I have been buying cars for 40 years and have never had such easy transactions as I ve had with him. I recently turned in one of my leased vehicles. I dreaded the process but guess what? I was in and out in less than 1/2 hour, start to finish! Incredible.

The whole atmosphere at IDE Honda is nothing I ve ever experienced before and having Brad for a salesman has been awesome., he s straight forward, figures out what you need, gives you a fair deal and you re out the door. No hassle at all and it doesn t hurt that s he s just a nice guy! IDE says they would love to earn your business and they sure have earned mine. I will be back again for sure!
