Good experience overall and low stress process. Brad Constantino and Tony Syre are professional and personable. The car was immaculate, ready to go and entire process very efficient which was helpful when I need to replace a car pretty quickly after a deer accident. I recommend ditching the extra fees that pop up when you are ready to sign (like vehicle prep fees $99) because that ticks customers off which does not help build trust but otherwise the deal was fair. I would definitely buy another car from this dealership again minus the extra fees next time.

I just picked up our second Honda Odyssey from Dick Ide Honda today. A new 2016 Special Edition! Our sales representative Brad Constantino was amazing yet again! He has been wonderful to work with for many, many years. He listens to our needs and wants and also our wallet! This is our 6th vehicle from the Dick Ide Dealership. We've had a Civic, Ridgeline, S200, 2 Odysseys and a Pontiac G6. All have been gorgeous and reliable leases. I can't say enough great things about Honda alone. What makes Dick Ide stand out above the rest is price and customer service. And now that they have been remodeled you can drive right in for service. It's a beautiful location with very friendly staff. Thanks again Brad Constantino. We'll be looking for you again in 3 years!

Not very honest at all. Multiple issues. 1st, I had an issue with the transmission on a brand new odyssey a couple years ago. Took it in, kept being told "no, all that rough shifting it totally normal!" Well, after a couple years of "normal" rough transmission, it now needs a new one for $6500! That is NOT normal for a car with under 100k miles on it. 2nd, took it in for service another time. Agreed to their "suggestions" only to find out they snuck in a fuel additive that I never approved and charged me something like $50 for. Funny how when I got that call about reviewing my service, and gave bad reviews, I was told "well that's not good, I'm going to forward this to a manager." Apparently "forward this to a manger" means "we'll never call you again for a review because you gave us a bad one".

I don't trust this service department. I could go on with more issues, but frankly, they aren't worth my time. I will not return to Ide ever gain, for any reason. We've bought and leased from them for years, and this is how we get treated? Nope.

I recently bought a car from Brad at Ide Honda and could not speak higher of my experience. I have never had a good car buying experience until now. Brad treated me with respect, listened to my questions/needs/wants in a new car. He was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. As a female buyer, I never felt pressured or that I didn't understand any step of the process, which I can't tell you how much I appreciate. I HIGHLY recommend working with Brad to buy your next car.

This month, I had a great experience buying a certified used car from Ide Honda! I went to Ide Honda in Penfield where there is a good assortment of used cars, both Honda and non-Honda brands. The salesman who assisted us, Leigh Quackenbush, was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful, offering test drives and showing us a variety of vehicles. We settled on a Honda HRV that suits our needs perfectly.
The sales process was even better than the search. Leigh walked us through the necessary paperwork for both the trade-in of our old vehicle and the purchase of the new one. When our insurance company sent an incorrect insurance card for the new vehicle, it was the salesman, Leigh, who noticed the error and asked us to get it corrected. After several false starts with the insurance company, we finally got a correct insurance card to complete the sales transaction. Despite the frustrating delays with the insurance company, Leigh kept things moving through the sales process, making sure that we used the delay time to complete other paperwork and learn more about the new car. As soon as the paperwork was complete, we were in our new (used) car and on our way. What a smooth, time-efficient process! I commend Ide Honda for developing a customer-focused sales experience and I recommend Leigh Quackenbush to anyone looking to buy a car.

Im basing my rating solely on the service department. Not so much sales. I dreaded bringing my accord into the service department so much, I actually switched brands completely (toyota). The constant pressure of buying unnecessary maintenence got old really fast. Or how about $50 for an air filter. Seriously, it's not even worth the free oil changes. I don't know how many times I was told to service my breaks (clean and lube) at $120 per visit or whatever it cost. It's a complete scam and why I switched to Toyota all together. I could not be happier dealing with Toyota and the lack of pressure to constantly service my vehicle. It's kinda sad because I was a very loyal Honda customer. Owned a civic, accord, pilot and cr-v in my lifetime.

Little bit of a wiat!! Went in for an inspection, my van didn't pass initially. They told me my rear rotors needed to be remachined and I had to have new rear break pads. I was happy with the service.. Thank you ide honda for keeping me safe on the road.. Now I'm on the road again and everything is ship shape!! Olny place I will go for Service for my Honda!! Service staff was also very friendly and helpful!!

I want to thank Mike in the service department for expiditing the repair of my outside mirror and the NY inspection on my Honda Ridgeline. After an initial miscommunicaton on my part, Mike put a rush on what needed to be done and I was on my way with my family to camp in the Adirondacks. This is the 8th time the display/brightness thing ...

This is the 8th time the display/brightness thing has happened. This time I was using Google Maps to get somewhere, and it started doing acting up. Clearly, the map feature stopped working and all I could get was the brightness issue. No GPS, no map, nothing except the display issue. Had to pull over to the side of the road and restart my car. This was incredibly convenient as I was driving somewhere I hadn't been before and really needed to use the display to find the right location. When is this going to become a big enough issue to issue a recall? I can't imagine what would've happened if I was hundreds of miles from home... Totally unacceptable. This un-recalled, un-fixed issue is making me second guess my choice.

Ide has not been able to fix this issue. Plan to invoke "lemon law"

Scott Marinelli was wonderful to work with. This was our first Honda we purchased. I first met him from inquiring online about a used vehicle. He let me know that there was a stop sale on all used Honda Odessey's and offered to work with me for a new one. We came in on a Saturday and he spent 4 hours with us. He was great helping us with the paperwork, insurance and financing. He spent an hour showing us all of the inside and outside workings of our new van. It was the best car buying experience we have had. This is the 5th car buying experience. We would definatly go to Ide Honda again.

Brad Constantino has been extremely helpful during my time at Honda. I started out with my first lease over 4 years ago. I have enjoyed working with him and the upfront honesty he uses when explaining the cars and leasing process to me. I just recently upgraded to my family vehicle and Brad was awesome helping me with deciding what would be best for my new baby. I always reccomend IDE Honda and Brad to all of my friends and famly and will continue to do so! Thanks again Brad, we love our new CRV!

I purchased a new 2020 CRV at the end of December....

I purchased a new 2020 CRV at the end of December. Brad Constantino was very easy to work with. He was knowledgeable about the vehicles, helped us make a decision to purchase a 2020 vs and 2019 model and answered questions about differences between a CRV and HRV. Making a deal was quick and painless. Upon delivery of the car he was very helpful in educating me on new features and helping me set up my cell phone and other technology as needed. This is the 4th car I have purchased from Ide and I continue to be a satisfied customer in both the sales and service departments. I should mention that Richard was also very helpful in helping to finance our vehicle.

It took a while longer than expected but the team took excellent care of us with a loaner and with a value that couldn't be beat on the repairs. I recently bought a 2018 Odyssey from Ide Honda and I cannot praise the team there enough. This is the second vehicle that I have purchased through Ide Honda and both times I had a great experience. They gave me top dollar for my trade in and they gave me a good price on my new vehicle. I was upfront with what I wanted and where I needed to be price wise and Joe (Preteroti) made it happen. Joe was very welcoming and knowledgeable and best of all he was efficient. I have three kids, so having a minute to breathe without someone pulling and yelling for my help is precious, and I appreciated respectful Joe was off that. When I picked up my new car Joe sat in the passenger seat and went through the immediate "need to know" features (the new odyssey is amazing it has so much technology) so that I could get home. Joe never rushed me and he was willing to go over as much or as little as I wanted to . He also told me to call him anytime if I wanted to come in again to go through the features more in depth. So if you are looking for a new car I would highly recommend Ide Honda they give excellent costumer service and they truly do what they can to give the customer what they want. Joe went the extra mile and I will definitely send family and friends his way when they are looking for a new car. I have cycled through several makes of cars and Honda has hands down been the best. Go to Ide Honda and ask for Joe Preteroti.

I worked with Kiersten Herman. She was fantastic! I went in with my car that I intended to trade in. She set me up with a CRV to test drive and by the time I got back she had the trade-in offer with the deal to get me in to the CRV. She didn't pressure me into the sale or the add ons. She just showed me the details and let me do the deciding.

The CRV was such a no brainer, and now I feel like a fancy person driving this car. It's got everything, in the mid-level trim and I couldn't be happier. I definitely recommend working with Kiersten. She's awesome!

I couldn't have had a better experience! They were extremely transparent with their numbers, and I felt very confident that they weren't trying to pull the wool over my eyes (unlike another area Honda dealership where I had an unpleasant experience). The dealership is clean, the staff are really pleasant to work with, and it was an easy way to buy a new car! I highly recommend this dealership, and will absolutely give them more of my business in the future.

A few days ago my wife and I were thrilled to pick up our new Honda CRV and Honda Civic at Ide Honda. These two cars make a total of 10 Hondas that we have purchased over the years. We love the reliability of Hondas. But that s not the biggest reason that we are so loyal to Ide Honda.

It s a very rare event when you can say that your salesperson treats you as a valued friend when you make a car purchase. But that s just the way that Brad Constantino treats us. The moment that we step into the showroom Brad greets us with his warm smile and welcoming attention. He has a way of making the entire process enjoyable with our assurance that we re getting the best possible deal.

Brad knows our budget and somehow manages to keep us close to our current payments. After choosing our cars we took a test drive and were thrilled with the significant safety and technology changes that Honda has made. Apple Car Play is just fabulous!

Two days later Paula and I drove to Ide Honda to pick up our new cars. Brad had everything ready for us and we didn t wait at all to meet with him. He took us through both cars one at a time carefully showing us all of the wonderful features and pairing our phones to Apple Car Play. We never felt rushed and once again Brad treated us as if we were family.

The sale of the car is not the end of story for Brad. He contacted us two days later to thank us and make sure that we feel welcome to contact him at any point with any and all questions or concerns that we might have.

Honda is a name that we are proud to own because of the safety and performance of the vehicles. But we ll be back to Ide Honda in three years when our lease is up not just because of the reliability of the cars but more importantly because we know that Brad Constantino will give us the best deal in town and treat us as valued friends.

My brother, my daughter and my son in law have all had the same wonderful experience of purchasing Hondas from Brad. It s very fair statement to call us a proud Honda family. Brad Constantino is the kind of salesman that we are delighted to work with. Paula and I are so very happy to highly recommend him to our friends and family.

I had a great experience working with Brad Constantino at Ide Honda. My poor 2000 Odyssey ran like a tank but the body wasn't holding up. I shopped online and saw a couple of used vans online. I made an appointment and met Brad. He happily showed me the van I was interested in and a few others I inquired about. He made the time to answer my questions and gave me plenty of time to make a decision. I felt no pressure to make a purchase. I later made a decision to buy the first van I looked at. I would definitely shop with Brad for my next purchase.

A year ago I got myself in a jam & needed a car asap but couldn't come in to look for one as my need of transportation was the problem. As I called Dick Ide Honda & asked for a salesman & explained my situation, Rick Damico went by far above & beyond to help me get not only approved for a new car but pick out the right car for me, all over the phone. I didn't even meet him until I was ready to pick up my new car & he was just as helpful, resourceful & respectful as he was over the phone. Every time I bring my car in for scheduled maintenance he always says hi & checks up on me on how things are doing. Treating me as if I've been a loyal customer for years. With service like that, he & Dick Ide has earned that privilege from me! Thanks for everything!

This is my first time shot at writing any kind of review since the circumstances surrounding it, warranted them. First and foremost, I did get a good deal on a pre-owned 2013 Hyundai Elantra which I did purchase it from Ide Honda in Rochester, NY. Our sales representative, Leigh was amazing and helpful.

Thank you very much for taking time out to respond to my post. My version of story is as following: Before arriving at your dealership, we had done all our paperwork and had been approved for a loan through Bank of America (BOA). The representative at Bank of America provided us a loan approval letter and advised that we would take this letter to a BOA authorized dealer, which you are, and the dealer will call in the number listed on the loan approval letter to activate the credit for the loan. We conveyed this to Adam but he insisted we would have to get some kind of "approval" for this loan. We totally understand that we might be unaware of this process but the way it was conveyed to us by Adam was really made us feel like, that there is some kind of reservation about us in his mind. Other instance was when we were about to pay off the down payment. My fiancee advised she would like to pay via her credit card or we can split in two debit cards as both the debit cards have their daily expenditure limit. His demeanor changed and in a way he strongly said, "I thought you guys came with cash" and "Why didn't we convey about this method pf payment for the down payment?". Although we had never mentioned anything about a cash payment to him or the sales rep. We had bought our Rav4 here in Lia Albany and they had happily split our down payment in two debit card payments, so we're under the assumption that, it is a common norm. Again, I would reiterate, we totally understand we can't be right at all times but the way we're treated, was not right either. We (I and my fiancee) both work in customer facing industry where we have to face some tough clients and do understand the stress that goes along in the work but a being a little kinder and understanding does the trick.
Truly, we both don't have any hard feelings about Adam or your dealership. We're happy with our car and thanks again for taking time out to respond.

We have been dealing with Rick for many years and we will always stick with him as long as possible. We have had some hardships and when we thought it would be impossible to get a vehicle, Rick made it happen and within our budget. He is a sincere man and is so helpful. We can't say enough great things about him and would recommend Rick to anyone!

I have purchased 3 Hondas from Dick Ide in the last 2 years- all three times working with Joe Allbright. Joe was great to work with - delivered on what he promised without any pressure. Joe had all the details covered before we picked up the cars. So closing on each was fast and easy. The other employees who also helped with the purchase paperwork were pleasant and efficient. I would definitely recommend Dick Ide to friends and family.

I leased a Mazda from Ide Mazda 3 months ago and I had a service related question. Up to this point my experience with Ide was very good. I first bought a car from them 30 years ago. I tried calling the Ide Mazda Service number but only got loud music, no human or voice mail option. I tried several times with the same result so I went to their web site to check the number. That's when I learned that the Ide's decided to shut down the Mazda dealership with no warning or notice to their customers so I was left to fend for myself for warranty service or problems. They didn't bother to let anyone know that they were closing or make any attempt to provide arrangements for their Mazda customers. Not the service I expected from them and not something that will encourage me to go back for future purchases. I am disappointed in Ide and Mazda for the way they handled this closing. Very unprofessional and customer unfriendly!

I bought a brand new car from Brad after my wife had a great experience a couple years prior when she leased her civic. I ended up going with the HRV and I love it. I had never bought a brand new car before and Brad helped me through the whole process and he made it painless! He was not pushy at all either. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new Honda. I know when my wife's lease is up, I will be going to Brad again.

researched thru the auto world for a suitable SUV. Have had cars and also pickups and decided on a SUV. researched ended up between the CR-V and another maker's SUV. Honda's info was so readily available that any in-depth seeking was not warranted. Was approached by Cody Lach when we walked in the front door of Ide Honda. Cody was very informative and explained all the features and answered all of our questions. Of the 2 or 3 questions that I forgot to ask, I was able to find the answers for on the Honda Tutor. On arrival day, Cody went thru the vehicle with myself and wife and set up all the "bells and whistles". Gave us all the websites to visit for any further questions.

I just had Ide replace the air bag on our 18 year old Honda as part of a huge multi manufacturer recall..They were ready for us on arrival...We waited at the dealership in a room of comfortable chairs, TV, free coffee and fruit...The car was finished exactly when they said it would be, the staff was friendly...Pleasant experience...

I am from the Buffalo area and my girlfriend is from the Rochester area. She spoke very highly of Dick Ide and her salesman Alex. We were purchasing our first vehicle together and wanted to get a good deal in the process. Alex worked hard with us on the price. We had a little glitch with the trade in value and Alex's story checked out so he was being honest with me. The price we paid was great and even West Herr would not match it. We have not picked the vehicle up yet but are hoping the delivery will go as well as the sale.

Although it sounds cliche, I have to admit that our experience with Brad Constantino at Ide Honda was the best car sales experience we've had, ever. Together, my husband and I have bought 4 other used cars elsewhere in the years we've been together, but have visited at least 3 times as many dealerships in that process (probably more). When we had to purchase our 5th car, we really weren't looking forward to it. We hate having to haggle and just want to be able to look at the car we are interested in without someone circling us like a hawk. We'd already visited 1 or 2 other dealerships west of us before deciding to drive out to Panorama Trail (a little ways for us as we live about 45-50" away). The first thing that really impressed us was that Brad knew a lot about the cars themselves (and not just the superficial features). I'm not sure if he started out as a mechanic but he seemed to have a really strong familiarity with the ins and outs of the cars. The second thing he did was give us the space and time to drive the cars we were interested in without any pressure or prey behavior, LOL. For us at least, that was really important. It allowed us to think and discuss between ourselves without feeling like we were being watched. And then finally, when we had decided on what we wanted to buy, he really tried hard to get us the best deal he could as far as money on our older car. So overall, it was just a really pleasant experience. We will most likely look at Ide first the next time we need to make another purchase and I will likely schedule any major maintenance or repair with them, rather than a closer dealer, just because the experience was so much better.

He even traveled out of the area to pick up the car that I wanted, which was not available in Rochester. I had some questions after buying my car, and Cody was always a call or text away!! While the work on the car was GREAT (they even pointed out something I didn't know about the car unrelated to the recall service I was in for), the service desk, while very accommodating in person, is impossible to reach over the phone. Most folks at the desk looked swamped when I walked in.

Why 4 stars? I called the number on Google twice and was promptly transferred to the service desk upon request both times... then the games begin. You'll get stuck in a loop of having to constantly press "2" as there's no phone queue... if you're lucky, one of those times, somebody will pick up the phone and slam it back on the hook for you.

Was thinking it was a one-time thing until my parents complained about having the exact same problem a couple days prior. Frustrating when you're just trying to see if your car is ready for pickup or not (I missed the initial call -- my bad).

Can't set up a a car service correctly at all. I dropped my car off to be corrected from a recall at 10 am on a Saturday and was told to pick it up in 2 hours as it would be done. Lo and behold 3 hours later they haven't even started. Why make an appointment time when it isn't going to be worked on at that time. Wasted my time and the person who dropped me off. I rescheduled to have the service completed and they got the reschedule time incorrect. They wrote 9/7 on a card for me and I put it in my phone that way and I get an email that says the appointment is 9/4 a work day. I can't even call and get a hold of someone to correct it because their phone menu just constantly puts you back to the menu after ringing a few times. The staff just doesn't care.

We just bought our 2nd car from Will Galliher at IDE Honda. I wouldn't consider buying a car from any other salesperson or at any other dealer. He's fantastic, and makes ( what could be) a lengthy and stressful transaction as easy and uncomplicated as is possible. This was a used car purchase for my daughter. My purchase was a new car in 2015. Either way - new or used - Will provided the exact same service. Thanks to Will's performance, I have recommended him and IDE to many of my friends and co-workers. Ide Honda is a "legacy automobile dealer" in the Rochester, NY area. I believe it was originally a Pontiac franchise. I just leased a 2017 Accord LX from them; my third Honda Accord in a row. I worked with Gerry Lamb, of their sales department, and I can say with confidence that Gerry is a real professional. Knows his products, is a good listener, and is what I call a "straight shooter." He made the process as simple as one can expect. Ide is a first-rate operation, and Gery is a first-rate part of it!

I got my last Honda (Civic) from Ide twelve years ago and loved the car, and had a great experience, so I went back for another.
