I am pleased with the service done on my Odyssey; however, I have been receiving calls every day while I am at work from the shop because they accidentally forgot to change me $130. This is very annoying considering the over $4,000 work. From the number of calls I received, I had a feeling that something bad happen and I have to take the call. I hope IDE Honda to find a better way for communicating with clients. This is a bad handling for something that you forgot.

I recently purchased a 2018 Honda HRV. The experience, in a word was easy. There was no pressure, just the facts. I made my deal, and went back to pick up my new car. The showroom at Ide Honda is buzzing with activity. It is a bright, modern space where guests can peruse some new car choices, and avoid the weather. The service area is well stocked with comfortable seating, drinks and snacks. Finally, I love my new HRV. It is a smart, comfortable ride. Love the safety features, the way it handles on the highway, and the size of it. Not too big, not too small, just right. Thank you Cody Lach. I love it!

I have known Jim for many years there and he remains a dedicated service advisor for my 3 Honda vehicles (purchased before I knew about Ide Honda). Actually, I say any word either good or bad is unfair for Dick Honda itself. I was working with a guy named Joe. He turns out to be very impatient, impolite and humiliating. Honestly, I never saw a salesman has such bad attitude. He evens said "That's stupid" "Go home" "I am too busy to have time with you". This situation makes me really hard to stay with the same salesman. So I have to work with another salesman Alex instead. He is very nice guy with high quality as a salesman. So Dick Honda itself is fine, just the person is with pretty bad attitude.

This review is long overdue, but my wife and I were looking to upgrade to a small family size car since our previous vehicle had begun having more issues and just wasn't safe. Having heard so many great things about Ide Honda I figured it was worth giving them a try since I love everything Honda. Our experience could not have been better. The entire team treated us like royalty and more importantly to me, they were all very welcoming. We had our two year old daughter with us and Roberto was quick to go above and beyond to ensure she was happy. I feel guilty that it took me this long to write this review because Roberto was simply the most enjoyable and honest person I have ever had the pleasure of buying a car from. He treated my family like his own and went far beyond what we expected, even helping us get rid of our old car without us having to ask. His priority was to make sure we had a great experience. He did so by lining us up with Gerry, who was very knowledgable and kind throughout the whole process, and Jake in finances, who made the entire process seamless. These three guys we dealt with during our visit made us feel like we were their top priority and were so friendly to us. I do plan on buying a new civic when my 06 finally decides to die, and without hesitating, I would go right back to Ide to get it.

Nick Dilg, Service Advisor, was fantastic. I came in, exasperated, because my car alarm had been going off randomly for four days. (I had to sleep with my key fob in my hand.) He took one look at me and got the keys to a loaner. He kept me informed of the progress and kept my car until he was certain the alarm problem was resolved. I can sleep in peace now. Thanks, Nick!

I needed a new car ASAP, all of the other dealerships I had been to made it very clear they were only interested in my money and the sale. I worked with Paul who actually is one of my managers good friends, from the moment I stepped in the door he made this an extraordinary experience for me, this is my very first lease/new car EVER! He explained everything to me from top to bottom and helped me find the perfect car for me. We had it towed to the dealership and Jim Milella provided her with a loaner and had her out the door before I was actually able to talk to him. Jim Millella has provided outstanding service and oversight through the three years that I have leased an Accord. Whether scheduling my regular service visits or today when I saw a tire-pressure warning light on my dashboard, Jim "owned" my service issue or problem. I felt comfortable in leaving the car for service. There were never any "discoveries" of serious problems that would lead to my purchase of extra services. His assurances and explanation of the service that had been completed maintain my great confidence not only about the car, but with the entire Ide organization.

I bought a Mazda from IDE Mazda back in 2013. I have had it serviced regularly by IDE since I bought it. The IDE Mazda service team was fantastic. Unfortunately, IDE lost the Mazda dealership. However, the IDE dealership is continuing to honor their free oil changes for life policy that I was given when I bought my Mazda.

Scheduling online was easy. Driving the car in for service was easy.

That is where all the good things ended. Once i walked in to the service department from the garage it was a different world. There were 3 customers in the area and 5 people working behind the counter. I waited for 15 minutes while I watched these 5 people look at their phones, answer phones, greet other IDE employees and socialize amongst themselves before a former IDE Mazda service representative walked in from outside and greeted me and asked me if he could help me.

A women standing next to me complained that she was waiting so long for someone to wait on her that she was going to be late getting back to work.

This all occurred when I went to check in for service.

It was even worse when I went back to pick up my car after receiving a call that it was ready. This time there were 6 people behind the counter helping 2 customers. The other 4 behind the counter were once again laughing and socializing amongst themselves. No one greeted me or acknowledged I was there.

After another 10-15 minutes the service rep that helped me check in walked in and asked me if anyone was helping me. I said no and he looked very surprised.

It felt very much like I was at the DMV. Very cold. Almost made me feel like it was a privilege for me to be there.

They certainly don't have the same level of customer service at the Honda location that they did at the Mazda shop.

Cold impersonal service. Very disappointing. If I ran my CPA firm like that I am sure I would lose business.

Needed to get work done on my Ridgeline that was f...

Needed to get work done on my Ridgeline that was for a recall by the manufacturer here at Ide. They stated it would take nearly 2 hours for the work to be completed. I scheduled an appointment to get it done a few days later. When I asked if they could give me a courtesy ride home (which is 2 miles away), or even a loaner for the couple hours..they stated they don't do that. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?? Every Honda dealership I've ever dealt with has offered some mode of transportation when getting you vehicle worked on and it's going to take a few hours. Especially since it was a factory recall. I think i'll be getting my Honda worked on at Garber from now on..

UPDATE: After dropping my truck off and Ide having it for 3.5 hours they called stating they didn't have the part for the recall in stock and wouldn't be able to fix it. The whole reason I made the appointment earlier in the week, was so they would be able to fix it the day I dropped it off. I asked the person I made the reservation with earlier in the week if they had the part in stock and they stated they did.

At that point I insisted someone come pick me up, and they were kind enough to send someone to get me. After arriving at the dealership to pick up my truck I was told that they would be able to get the part in the following day and have the work done. They were able to get the part in and get the recall taken care of the day after. Better late then never I suppose. I've changed my rating from 1 star to 2 based on the inconvenience they caused.

I am completely thrilled with my new Honda HRV. I love the car and more importantly the reliability of the Honda brand. The buying experience that I had with my recent purchase at Ide Honda was painless. There was no back and forth game, and ultimately I got a great deal on the vehicle. Brad Constantino was very knowledgeable and spent the time to help me get familiar with all the features of my car. His follow-up after the purchase was exceptional as well - he was always available for questions and to provide assistance. Great customer service!

Scheduled a 12:00 appointment and was told it would take about an hour and a half. Once I arrived, was told the car would be ready by 4:30. When I asked what would take so long- I was told because I was leaving to get lunch, other customers in the waiting room took priority. It s now been 2 and a half hours in the waiting room and still no car. I have a newborn at home to get back to and would have really appreciated honesty from the very first phone call.

I can't recommend Ide Honda for neither purchasing a vehicle nor service. Free oil changes are great until you are coerced into agreeing to other services which cost hundreds of dollars. For the best service in Rochester go to LoVetro automotive. You never have to pay for services you don't need.

Ok, somehow I lost the wheel lock for my Fit, discovering that at tire store. Called Ide, they said to come in. When checked was told of recall work needed doing. They did that, and found a wheel lock which they gave me. It was all done quickly and helpfully.

I did a lot of homework before purchasing my used CR-V through Ide Honda. I test drove every small SUV on the market before deciding I wanted to go with the CR-V, and then I visited every Honda dealership in the Rochester area to decide which one I wanted to do business with. I was looking for the best deal, but also a relaxed environment, someplace I could also send my mom when she was ready for a new car. I walked away from several dealerships just because I didn't like the feel. As soon as I spoke with Cory, I knew I wanted to give him my business. He was well-informed, but not pushy.

I was planning to buy a new CR-V unless I could find just the right used one. Cody patiently helped me test drive several used cars, as well as the new model for comparison. I spent HOURS going back and forth, and Cory never pressured me one way or another, just answered my questions. Although there were other employees who helped me through the final purchasing process, Cody was why I chose to do business with Ide. Thank you, Cody!

My Suzuki broke down and I needed a vehicle as soon as possible. I had heard wonderful things about Ide Honda from my sister and co-worker. I called and spoke with Brad Constantino, who was very caring and helpful. He had a car pick me up at my home. I had an excellent experience at Ide Honda. I had five months left on my lease, but I wanted to return it now so I wouldn't have to do it during the winter. Will Galliher did just what I needed in an unbelievably short period of time. I called on a Thursday, and had my new leased car the very next day. They took care of everything before I came in so I hardly spent any time there. Ide Honda followed all the New York State rules of opening safely. Excellent job!!!!

Purchasing my first car I was a bit nervous, so I did my research and came in ready for a battle with the dealerships. I was half relieved that the sales staff was so nice and pressure free, but also sad that all of my research went to waste.

My husband and I leased two new vehicles (the 2018 Fit and the 2017 Civic) through Brad C. at Ide Honda. After having horrible experiences at other Honda dealers, I wasn't keen on going through the car buying/leasing process again. But with welcoming my first child in July, we needed to trade in our 2011 Civic as well as lease a second vehicle. Brad was amazing from start to finish on both cars. He was very timely in responding to my e-mails and was flexible with scheduling. Brad never made me feel like he was pushing a sale - he was always conscious of our needs and our budget. Through the leasing process for both cars, Brad became like family and was invested in the well-being of our family - which I really appreciated. I recently had an issue with my battery/terminals, no fault of Ide. It was the day before a long trip and the terminal cable would not stay on the terminal to the point that I was left on the side of the road. When I finally got the cable on temporarily I drove to Ide. It was about 5pm and Mike Hunsinger greeted me, took my car in and in 45 minutes I was good to go.
I appreciate him getting me in as quick as he did when he had other customers he was working with also. Very much appreciated!

I ve been with Ide Honda for almost 10 years and have never had any issues with them until this new lease. However, I will be thinking twice after the this experience. After an issue was made on their behalf with some overage expenses, they claimed I owed more to them a month later. The best they could do to remedy the matter was work the number down. Customer loyalty didn t get me much here. I gave three stars for the stellar treatment I received over the years but this latest experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Sorry, guys.

As we were leaving town the next day and realized we had forgotten about replacing our tires. Jim got us in at the minute and was also able to send us home with a loaner until job was completed later that same evening. I purchased a car from here a couple of days past the New Year and I must say it was the most enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had. From the moment I walked through the door, the staff from reception to sales, were friendly and warm. The Dealership itself was very clean and inviting. My salesman, Brad, was very knowledgeable and unassuming about both myself and the car that I was looking for. I had spent the previous day at 4 or 5 Honda dealerships in Buffalo and was very disappointed. I took a chance after texting with Brad, something most Dealerships do not offer through their websites, but I was glad to see this one did. Once I sat down and made my decision on the car I was sure I wanted, the whole Dealership seemed to go into overdrive. From Finance, to getting my car off the showroom floor, to waxing it I dont think it took more than 3 hours getting me out the door. It usually takes me 3 hours at any other dealership to argue with the salesman about what "I Really Want". I drove over 120 miles there and back and am proud to say the back was in my new Honda Type R. I cant wait to come back at the end of the year, as now my Wife wants the same car.

I have referred several friends and family members to Ide Honda in the past. Rick Damico and Roberto have always taken excellent care of them. Now it was time to replace my wife's Honda Pilot. We leased a new Honda Accord and once again, Rick and Roberto were awesome to work with! They were extremely helpful, down to earth and patient throughout the whole process. Purchased a 2016 Honda Odyssey from Ide. The sales reps and business managers were friendly and helpful for the most part. When I purchased my vehicle, the sales rep assured me that during the final inspection in the shop that all of the marks on the vehicle would be buffed or touched up. When I picked the vehicle up it was washed / waxed but the foot long marks were not touched. I pointed them out again so another rep brought the vehicle to the shop to touch up the spots quick; they came out okay. Also, when I went to change the wiper blades and add in a better washer fluid I double checked all of my fluids. Most fluids (brake, coolant, power steering) were all below the minimum line.

We had a great experience at Ide Honda. My family stopped in to test drive a car and left leasing a new Pilot. Even with 3 young kids in tow, it was an easy experience. The facility is clean, spacious, family-friendly. Kiersten was great! She took the time to really show us the vehicle and all of its features as well as work with us to get within our budget. The whole experience was smooth. We will definitely return when it's time for another Honda!

This the second car we have purchased from Brad and Ide Honda. We are very pleased with the overall process, with Brad as a salesperson, and with Dick Ide dealership. In fact, we bought the car on a rare Sunday opening. We were able to use credits and get special roof rails and crossbars. The full tank of gas was an added bonus. Happy New Year to us!

I came to Ide Honda looking for a better deal on a 2018 Honda CRV than I received from another local Honda dealer. I walked away with not only a great deal, but a wonderful experience. There was no high pressure sales and Al Gleichauf was great with answering all my questions. He even went above and beyond to try to locate a vehicle on their lot that was a similar green for me to see, so I could avoid a return to the other local dealer. Jake Anderson in finance made the process a breeze when applying for credit with no pressure to purchase, just information, for the extra warranty coverage and protection packages. Ken Neufeglise made the paperwork part quick and painless and I was into my new Honda quicker than expected. As an added bonus I got a chance to personally meet the VP Rich Ide when I purchased the car. First time I've ever had that happen. I would highly recommend checking out Ide Honda before finalizing any deal with another local dealer...or better yet just go there first and save the hassles.

We recently purchased a 2015 Honda CR-V from Ide Honda. Our overall buying experience was very positive. Viktor Tiutiunnyk, our Honda Product Specialist, was polite and personable. He listened attentively to our needs and suggested an automobile that had the options that we desired. His sales approach was not pressured. His explanation of the various options was clear and thorough. We also enjoyed working with Tony Srye on the financial end of the transaction. We went in for an airbag recall on our 2004 Odyssey, We left with a brand new Passport.
We wanted to test drive a new Pilot, but when we saw the Passport we test drove that instead. We walked around the showroom for about 30 minutes checking out the cars and expecting to be approached by a salesman. They are so laid back at IDE that we went to customer service to request to talk to someone. Gerry Lamb was more of an adviser than a salesman. He explained the differences between the Pilot and the Passport and then asked us if we would like to test drive one. After the test drive we chose to purchase it. I have purchased several new cars over the years and every time felt uncomfortable and pressured. This was nothing like those past experiences. The whole process was easy, comfortable and non-pressured. Like we were buying a car from friends rather than a car dealership.

While we had purchased 2 vehicles previously from Ide, we didn't ask for any specific sales person when we came in looking for options to replace another brand vehicle. We were greeted by Al, and what a pleasure - right from the start! He makes things easy, and he is professional in every way. I'm really enjoying my CR-V!
Then, 2 months later, we came back to Al when my husband wanted to purchase a used vehicle from Ide Dealerships. He was so very helpful with this transaction, as well as helping us with some after sale care. We cannot recommend Al highly enough! He is a great guy, and a great business person who provided the absolute best car buying experience I've had in my lifetime of car purchases (and that's quite a few years! lol. Thank you Al! We will certainly see you again when we're ready for our next vehicle.

I have had a lot of stressful and bad experiences when it comes to buying a car. This was my first time purchasing a car from Ide Honda and it was a breath of fresh air. From the moment I walked through the door I felt at ease. Everyone was very friendly and not pushy or in my face at all. My decision to get a new car came very abruptly and in less then 24 hrs I was driving away in my new to me 2013 Honda Civic! I was able to test drive a few cars, that were actually in my price range I could afford. At no time was I pressured to make a decision or to go for a more expensive car. My Sales Rep Gerry Lamb was friendly and very understanding to my needs and what I was able to do. When I got the call that I had been approved I was so happy and the financial manager that called me, Adam Weil, was friendly and patient to my being so excited and a little scatter brained! They told me they would have the car ready at 1:30 for pick up that day. When I got there they sat down and went over everything with me, Gerry even came out and explained all the new features I had and how to use them. Which I needed because I was upgrading from a 2003 Honda Civic! This experience was all around a fun and great experience and I will definitely go back there when it is time for another new car or when I need service on my car!

Buying the car was great, I worked with Joe and he did an amazing job as most of the staff did. MY problem is that they give excellent customer service to sell the car and after that it is horrible. We went into the dealer about 2 weeks after getting it, and the service department reps were horrible, and our sales representative didn't say hello at the least. The service department is garbage, and they add on extra services without explaining what they are. All departments need to be trained on customer service. I asked a question and the front desk attendant would not even pick her head up to answer the question, as she was too busy texting and on Facebook.

Sales staff and finance mgr are looking out for business not so much the customer. That being said I would rate them fair at best. The dealer closer to me would have been a better choice.

He has given me great advice on many occasions. I even called him while on road trips and he has fixed my Pilot "OVER THE PHONE!" I am a car guy who really values a great car guy - Jim Milella!

The service department will take care of you even when you don't have an appointment.The job of switching plates& stickers,etc when I moved from a state to N.Y. was completely & quickly done at Ide Honda and at no expense to me. Nice people!
