As a senior citizen, $17.00 is a lot of money for visiting the beautiful Denver Zoo. Oh, don't get me wrong, I just luv this place. Very clean wherever you go, but bring a picnic basket, as food items are a bit pricy. Didn't see many outdoor animals, they are trying to be comfortable in their caves, holes etc. You can see many animals in the indoor pavilions.

We love our local zoo. It is a great place to visit with the kids in any season. It gives us a nice activity to zoo all summer long when the kids don't want to visit the splash parks and in the winter the animals are inside so you get a more up close look. I also love having the option to go to the events that the zoo puts on.

This is a fun zoo. It's no St. Louis Zoo which is what I'm used to, we're completely spoiled here in stl by our zoo. It was very fun though and my son had a great time! My kiddo loved the reptile house. There was a komodo dragon and he lost his mind over it! He was so excited!

Love the zoo. So many changes and I cannot wait till it's all completed. The volunteers are really friendly and knowledgable. And the animals seem to be well taken care of. I enjoy every time I go with my daughter.

It was my first visit to the Denver Zoo. It was a nice afternoon seeing the animals with my family. If you are looking for a nice afternoon out with the kids, I would encourage you to check out the Denver Zoo.

Our 3 year old son loves it and I can't think of a better way to spend the day with him. COVID has definitely limited our visits this year, but it won't stop us from continuing to be annual members.

Nice place, clean with nice exhibits. I would have liked to see more roaming zoo staff though, many people, including me had question about some of the animals.
Food and drinks are insanely priced.
$3.85 for a bottle of water.

We have been to zoos all over the United States and even a few overseas. This is the best one we've ever visited. Not one of the animals or their conditions made us feel sad about them being in captivity. Lots of room for the critters, great flow to distribute the crowds, and a wonderful experience. Thank you, Denver Zoo!!!

Had a great time at the zoo. I recommend Denver's City Pass for the most economical way to visit. They are making great improvements to the facilities. The new Tiger enclosure is fantastic.

As a full-time destination event photographer, I have the honor of photographing all kinds of fun conferences all over the country. After a recent conference in downtown Denver, the organization celebrating a successful meeting at the Denver Zoo. The staff there was so helpful and nice to work with. The food was delicious. But having the zoo all to ourselves for the evening was simply MAGICAL!!!

I have grown up with this Zoo and I am super grateful they have been able to figure out how to operate regardless of the current conditions. Contact less tickets online, guaranteeing you a time slot to enter the park and also a low stress More

It was nice lights. Not too crowded. Strong suggestion, accomadate older folks. I don't understand why the wheel chairs are inside the park, down around the corner about 200 ft? And grooves throughout make it tough to wheel a person over.

Such a great zoo! Beautiful exhibits that look like really engaging, big, and healthy enclosures for an impressive range of animals. We ran out of time to see everything! Check out the giraffe feeding time, the animal butts on the bathroom stall doors, and the parrot enclosure where the birds will come right up and even land on you.

Amazing light show for the holidays, very impressive!! Very nice grounds and easy to drift along at your own pace to enjoy the animals and lights. My goddaughter is 3 and we've been coming since she was a baby but this is our first light show. She loved it! Perfect for all ages! Have "holiday spirits" and cider and cocoa for sale! Great gift shops.

We went towards the end of the free day which is an amazing offer to get to go for no admission price, but we also didn't get to see many animals, in fact, the most animals that were around were inside the tropical discovery building meaning we mostly saw fish, reptiles, and amphibians. Don't get me wrong, the tropical discovery is a cool area, but we didn't get to see any elephants, lions, hippos, or the rhino. The hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and the tiger we're about the only mammals we saw. Oh, and the seals who didn't seem to mind the cold. It was awesome but honestly I'm glad we didn't make a whole day of it like we had planned, we saw all the animals that were outside in the hour, hour and a half we were there. My girlfriend was really disappointed not to see any elephants since that's her favorite animal, maybe we went too late? Not sure the reason, but there wasn't much activity. We'll try again on another free day, definitely not worth paying the normal pricey admission fee in my own opinion. As you can see from the photos, the zebras looked like sad horses in a pen (while I know they are essentially just horses, it would've been nice to see them in more of a natural setting not a farm setting eating grass out of metal horse feeders; that just looks very farm-y to me). All the other photos are from the tropical discovery which as I said was an area of the most activity (also meaning the building was very packed inside).

Jay's Valet has had the pleasure of working with the Zoo for a variety of events and many of our staff have visited the Zoo as well. We have had nothing short of an incredible experience with everyone there. I highly recommend you make time for this incredible Zoo that does so much for our community and takes amazing, loving care of their animals.

The Cold Weather Made For A Slow Day For Visitors But I Enjoyed The Fact That There Wasn't A Wait To See All The Exhibits. Some Animals Weren't Out Due To The Snow But It Was A Nice Retreat From The Cold To Go Into The Exhibit Buildings. Despite The Cold The Animals Were Active & That Was A Real Treat.
I LOVED Being Able To See "Bob" The Turtle Come Up For Air & The Bird Exhibit Is Beautiful With All The Live Plants.
Can't Wait To Go Back In The Summer.

Great for an afternoon out with the family. Wide walkways, large variety of animals, and helpful staff. The place was also incredibly clean and we'll maintained. Large parking lot but still somehow very hard to find a spot. You may have to hike in a ways, but it doesn't feel crowded once you're inside.

Awesome place to go for the whole family. The zoo is huge and takes hours to properly go though, great for families and kids alike. I reccomend going early because parking is an absolute nightmare and it will take time to see everything! Check out the new tiger exhibit!

There was a lot of empty exibits. If it wasn't renovations, they moved cages, blocked off without a reason or just plain not there, and not just talking about in the back.

Overall it was pretty good still, but I don't feel like the four and a half hours I spent there was worthwhile, I could have went to a smaller zoo that was cheaper as well as closer and gotten the same experience in a fraction of the time.

Great way to learn and spend a day with family! I love that they are always working to expand and make the exhibits for the animals better. My favorite exhibit is the monkeys. I like that they have real trees to climb and can go inside and out freely.
The food is good there as well! I would recommend the Pineapple Dole Whip, it is just like ice cream but much healthier.

Hard to find where you are even with a map. Nice exhibits. No primates today except a few gorillas and tangs. Come early to get parking. Otherwise you will drive around looking for someone to leave, which was our case arriving at noon. Lots of food vendors. Bring extra money though. We had a picnic before going in.

Great place to take the family. Great for out of state visitors and a awesome Zoo Membership that work for many different levels. The food has improved in the last 4 yrs. Many different places to eat along the way while enjoying the Zoo. I do recommend getting there early to fight the crowds in the summer. Great bonus for adults who like to drink a beer while walking the Zoo, they have a few beer stations along the way. One of the greenest Zoos in the world with there recycling. Yeah, go green. Another plus is their animal encounters. Worth every penny.

The Denver Zoo does a great job! I really missed it! They did awesome with the COVID precautions. One way arrows, hand sanitizer stations and masks required. It felt very safe and we had so much fun! You can tell they really care about the animals too.

I have visited this Zoo for over 30 years and it has been great to see the growth. Many activities for everyone, with shows, interactions, and even a new play area for kids by the seals. Always great food selections and beautiful scenery. They are in the middle of rebuilding two areas right now and I look forward to seeing the new changes.
