Exotic cluster of animals and endless fun for kids and adults alike
Ehh. Of the few animals i saw they all looked depressed
We had a wonderful time at the zoo. My daughter loved all the attractions and there were plenty of places for food and drink along the way. Tons of information about the animals so she could learn along the way. We also enjoyed the shows. The only thing I wasnt pleased about were there wasnt enough spots for resting. Like enough benches or seats available as for someone with disabilities. Even with noticable struggles, it was hard to find a place to rest along the way. Staff wasnt willing to help get us a place to sit as others were taking seats marked with placards specifically for handicapped persons. It was frustrating. Other than that, we did have a wonderful day. And pricing was very reasonable for everything we saw and did.
Zoo's are always a good experience but the animals seem lonely, unhappy an unmotivated to move. I had a good time seeing and learning different things! Good place to go but don't expect too many animals to "look" alive.
The new exhibits are incredible. The elephant, rhino, and primate enclosures are incredible.
The animals were textbook perfect. The baby lion cub was adorable!
In spite of Covid19 my bff, her grandbabies (6 yo and 18 mo), and I went with an appointment scheduled ahead of time. We were instructed to visit by walking in one direction only and keep masks on at all times at the zoo. That was it! The park was clean, every staff member was pleasant and knowledgeable, the food was fantastic, although a bit different in ordering due to Covid19, some animals exhibits were closed but we all had a wonderful time.
Denver zoo there is alot to see. Alot of new babies
Great opportunities to see animals in a habit is made for their comfort. Loved the demonstration of how the carnivores are reinforced to cooperate. This was a nice outing for the family.
I took my son to Denver zoo and we had a great time here. We saw a lot of animals, all of them were well maintained. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to feed animals but it is still great place to spend time with family.
I haven't been here in years. The zoo seemed so much bigger with awesome attractions. The staff were all friendly and offered an insight as to what the Denver zoo's mission is. Love this place.
I would have given 4 stars for the Zoo Lights experience. Except parking was a complete nightmare. Would have been nice to have zoo parking attendants directing people for parking. We waited in a very long, slow-moving train of cars for nearly 20 mins, only to get to a barracaded entrance and had to try to turn around to find parking in a further lot. Maybe parking is better if you go earlier, say 5:30? We arrived to within ~1\2 mile of the zoo around 7pm, and didn't get to the front gate until nearly 8pm. But the zoo lights experience was great. The whole family had a nice experience. Many of the animals are kept indoors, in case there are certain animals you're hoping to see.
I love this zoo! They clearly care so much about their animals.
Love the zoo. The zoo has really made some nice upgrades and changes over the past few years. I like that the zoo shares knowledge of how to protect our wild life.
I had a lot of fun but some of the exhibits were empty.
Kind of lame that you pay full price but 3/4 of the zoo is ALWAYS closed or under construction.
Got in early before it was too crowded. Large enough to see a large variety of things but not too big to feel overwhelming. Informative staff at different exhibits.
Loved the zoo
The staff were super friendly, and it was fun to follow a path through the entire zoo. Pretty much got to see everything.
The Denver zoo is a must see place for families. If you visit over December, they have really nice Christmas lights and it is simply beautiful!
Always fun to visit. Yearly pass is worth it. You can easily spend full day roaming around and then go to the city park nextdoor for a picnic. The animals are easy to see and have good spaces to move around.
Great place to spend the day walking around. Good family fun.
Have an annual membership so I come and go whenever it's convenient. I highly recommend becoming a member if you ever plan coming more than once. The free guest passes are worth it on their own. Not to mention the food and merch discounts.
Expected better for Denver. Lots of empty exhibts, food lacking, maps could be better.
My husband and youngest son had their first visit to a zoo it was awesome just wish they had more open to view
I've been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my own kids here! I LOVE this place! I travel a lot and every state I go to I always have to visit their zoos and aquariums. Baltimore may have Denver beat when it comes to aquariums, but Denver has everywhere else beat when it comes to zoos! The zoo has good food, a good souvenirs shop, clean bathrooms, awesome exhibits, and wonderful animals! The staff is also nice and helpful.
Zoo lights were so much fun. Great for a date night or a family adventure. The monkey exhibit was my favorite! Ample bars with hot chocolate and other winter libations. Plenty of bathrooms but if you can't locate them just ask their very helpful staff.
Awsome zoo, possibly to big to see in one day however the exhibits are well spaced well configured for viewing and helpful staff absouly everywhere.
Went to the zoo lights i was disappointed because no animals were out also there was not as many lights as we thought would be
I love the zoo!! Been a member for a few years. It is great to take the kids and walk around any day of the summer! I highly recommend membership and trips to the zoo for any family!
So fun. Doing great social distancing. Animals looked healthy and happy.
It was ok for a city this big the location is awesome. The zoo it's self was just ok staff was helpful and friendly.
Denver Zoo is truly aagical place! It has so many unique and beautiful animals, and there are so many experiences and activities for adults and children alike. The structure and exhibit design is really good, and the food is amazing!
We haven't really taken time to do the whole zoo in several years. We've been by for Boo at the Zoo, but quit after not long due to the crowd last year, so didn't get the whole experience.
I was really surprised by how much work they've been doing. The addition of new plants and new enclosures/redesign of old really made it feel almost like a new zoo.
Really impressed with the direction being taken and will definitely be back to see the new bear set up and the new veterinary hospital!
Great place for kids and adults alike. Go early when all the animals are out. Nice way to spend a day.
I love the Denver Zoo! Great place to enjoy with your family or even on your own! Predator Ridge (where they house the lions) is one of my favorite exhibits! The only negative is that it's kind of small.
One of the best zoos I've been to. A great way to wear the kiddos out as it's quite large.
Excellent job of keeping the Zoo spirit alive during COVID restrictions. Wonderful large animal exhibits.
Sadly their supply of dinosaurs and unicorns were lacking. I thought that staff was friendly and beside some places smelling like a barn(mostly by the elephants) it was a great experience!
They were very nice took care of my families disability needs and we're all quite respectful alot of the animals were M.I.A lol but overall good experience
They couldnt get my card to work at one beverage station so i chanced it at another and magically no issues but water should NEVER be price gouged at 6$ a bottle. Most exhibits were blocked off and that alone should have been a price reduction. And now for the good , the staff omg give these guys some love for being up on those chairs making sure patrons were staying on the path going the right ways .
Great place to go to get the kids to stretch their legs, good beer selection as well!
The zoo is well laid out. The exhibits are engaging and contain information on the animals. The elephant demonstration was well done and enjoyable to watch. There is some construction going on for some of the habitats and it was hard to locate the entrance to some of the buildings. Overall it was a wonderful day spent at the zoo.
Totally worth the money! Great animals, friendly zoo keepers and many treats to your eyes!
We love the zoo! Definitely a little disappointing with Boo At The Zoo this year. Not a lot of animals out and trick or treat stations weren't always out in plain sight, but we enjoyed our time anyway.
Fantastic time! Hard to plan a route thru. The guide signs have not been updated.
Exhibits are well kept and clean, good amount of sun and shade. You need at least 2 hrs+ to get through the whole zoo. Great kids area and picnic spots throughout!
Always a great time at the zoo, great and friendly staff. Watch out for the ducks they will attack.. :)
We love the zoo. Great place to have a membership so you can enjoy throughout the year. We get one as a gift for our family every Christmas. They are always improving it and adding new things.
The zoo is gorgeous! There's so much to see and making sure to view it all will likely take you from the beginning to the end of the day. The zoo staff were all friendly and loved to talk about the animals they were caring for and everyone had a lesson to teach. I wish I could stay here longer and just soak in the atmosphere, but at the very least I'll be coming back!
Sad excuse for a zoo in a state that should be able to afford much more for their zoo, the animals, and the people coming to visit. I live in a desert and yet my hometown zoo is much better than this one was.
I was very surprised at how many animals they had. Nice layout and variety.
Jay's Valet has had a chance to see first hand, the wonderful people making a difference every single day at the Denver Zoo. Thank you for making such a positive impact in our community!
Great zoo for kids. Shows during the day are interesting to visit. Can be hard to find parking whenever there are events.
Buy a season pass and you will get your money's worth if you go just a couple of times.
We had an amazing time at the Denver zoo, the animals were awesome! It's great to know this zoo is making it more natural for the animals. Love it! One of my favorite zoos!
My fiance and I went to the Denver Zoo Lights for Christmas. We had an absolute perfect time! Their displays we're beautiful and never-ending!!:) Thanks Denver Zoo!
Enjoyed being there but it was very hot, there should be a pop up water fountain that the children can run around in like at pearl Street Mall and there should be more benches for relaxation, your feet get streaming hit tired and a moment to relax makes a difference animals aren't always out;understandable, a few distractions like the water fountain would be great.
I hadn't went to the zoo in years. And yes it's much nicer they added a few things, but they charge more too. Today I went and there is alot of construction, many exhibits were closed. Many animals were not out or they were sleeping. And for the money honestly I wouldn't go back. Not worth time or money. I was walking around for nothing looking at silly animals not even the main attraction ones.
Great animals, big zoo, plenty to see. I wish it was laid out a little better to get around. The walking paths are very stroller friendly. Bathrooms are easy to access.
