On dino night it was a great view the only thing that was sad was that my children and myself and my husband had to deal with the racial comments tonight and every time I have came to the Zoo I have never dealt with nothing like this and I have been in Denver Colorado all of my life and this is the first time I had to deal with the racial comments but the people who worked at the Zoo were all Respectful and The zoo was very clean and hopefully when I go back there my children do not have to witness that again but other than that it was a Great place to visit

One of the best zoos I've ever been to. Initially I was bummed I didn't see certain animals but it was because animals aren't forced to be an attraction. I can respect that. It was super clean, staff was friendly, lots of exhibits. The Discovery house was amazing. We were very impressed.

Visited Denver zoo for the annual Zoo Light this Christmas eve. Lights are various, creative, colorful, and vibrant. To feel the warmth, there are several coffee stands with heaters. Try hot chocolate; it costs $7.25 for first purchase wirh a souvenir cup and $2.75 for refills, but wothy enough to grab one while you walk. You will have chance to see some animals as well, including tigers, rhinos, seals, reptiles and insects.

Please be aware of coldness and freezing wind since the park is open space.

Went on a veteran tour with 3 others. Chris was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and we all had a great time. I was sprites by how big the zoo is - plus I heard they've been getting new animals so there is even more to see!

I've been going to the zoo since I was born; never missed a year. There's always new things to learn and see, and it's obvious the employees care deeply for their animals. The food is great, too.

I thought it was great, it is every time, I like how they changed it around and added some dinos to the mix dip n dots are bomb but id stay away from the new dino dots flavor but the Coral Reef is to die for. Really helpful people who work there always nice and polite. We saw Billy the Elephant doing tricks, swimming for food and the trainer very knowledgeable about what he does and cares about the animals. That's what I love about this place and great prices 17 a person keep up the good stuff guys can't wait to take my daughter there when she's born and gets older so she can see what I saw when I was little plus more?

Went for Zoo Lights with my dudes! Had a blast, staff was friendly, area is always well kept. Tons of lights, able to buy hot chocolate/cider. If you are 21 or older several options of alcohol as well. Time always flies when we are here, spent 2.5 hours walking and checking out the lights and open animal enclosures.

I m sure this zoo is way better without the COVID restrictions, but the signs were very confusing. One sign told me to go right, so we went right and a worker told us to go left. Very confusing, but I could see it being better without restrictions.

The Denver zoo is arguably one of the better zoos in the country. The layout and design is very well thought out. Overall you don't end up walking huge distances like for instance the Kansas City zoo where you need to take a tram around just to see everything. The exhibits here are very clean as are the premises. Overall you will not be disappointed with your visit to this location.

I'm not fond of zoos and animal captivity, and this was no exeption. Animals weren't all out during prime season. The animals cages were filthy and I've never seen zoo animals so sad. Almost every exhibit only the backs could be seen all the animals were laying down staring at the wall missing their freedom. I'm not just hating on this review because I don't like zoos. This one was just flat out awefull some birds were in such discomfort for some reason they biting their feathers off in front off you especially the penguins.

We didn't get to spend much time as it was the end of the day, but the Zoo what very well taken care of, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the animals were a delight.
This place is a must go. It's so large we barely got through half of it!! They had so many different vendors through out it it was amazing. The kids loved it and we will be back if in the area!!

The Denver zoo is truly phenomenal. It's an extremely big, yet everything fits perfectly and you don't feel like you've walked and much as you have. It's very clean and the new editions are remarkable. Staff is fantastic and do a great job. Only negative is parking can get crazy but that's not the zoos fault. Overall, beyond 5 stars

If you live in the Denver metro and have kids, then I recommend a zoo pass and frequent visits! It's a great place for kids to use up energy, learn, and be inspired. It is a wonderful stroll for adults as well. It has wonderful new updates.

Must say I was disappointed. The large cats were in areas the size of my bedroom. Not good for large cats. Also, the polar bear area was pretty much fully dry and I'm pretty sure one of the camels was legitimately dead. It had bandages around its stomach and I watched it a good 10 minutes with no movement at all. Colorado Springs zoo is a lot better.

The zoo is one of the best I've seen. My only complaint is the construction and moving exhibits was not on the map. I walked to the far end to be sent to the other far end. Perhaps add a memo at the entrance so people are easily aware.

This zoo was fabulous. Visiting from Chicago this was my favorite part of our trip to Denver. We are members of the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago and we have the Lincoln Park zoo as well, but the Denver Zoo had a lovely layout. The animals were all out and present. You have Elephants my favorite!!! We happened to be in for free day and it was still manageable with the people in attendance. If we are in the area again we will visit again.

Love the zoo! We have been members for 6 years. If you have a family of four or more (we have 6), the membership is the best way to go. The new stingray feeding pool is amazing! They swim right up to you and are very tame. Super cool.

By far this is the most beautiful zoo I've ever been to. The enclosures are as close to each animal's natural habitat as you can get. We ate at the Asian cafe at the zoo, it was pretty awful food and redictulously expensive.

A fun place to be to see the animals. Some looked a little sickly, but overall a great experience. Get there early to get good parking! And check out Cranberry the Polar Bear she is precious!

The Denver zoo is definitely one of the best zoos ...

The Denver zoo is definitely one of the best zoos I have been to, no wonder it is often ranked in the top ten zoos in the US. I have been to the Denver zoo multiple times a year for over 20 years, the changes they have made are amazing. The Toyota Elephant exhibit is ranked in the top 5 for animal welfare and enrichment. To those complaining about the health of the animals... Are you joking? The Denver zoo partners with the CSU vet school, third ranked in the nation, to ensure proper health and enclosures. These animals receive some of the best treatment anywhere. It's often normal for a animal to have "mangy" fur in the spring, it's called shedding. If you are in Denver, you need to visit the zoo. You will see a wide array of animals, mostly focused on animals from Africa and Asia, the focus of the Denver zoo is that region of the world, in recent years they have moved most the animals from North and South America to other zoos. It's a visit you will not forget, definitely plan a whole day.
