Always been one of my favorites. Great new tiger habitat wide paths and lots of shade.
Always been one of my favorites. Great new tiger habitat wide paths and lots of shade.
Theres literally no animals in any of the exhibits right now.
Great job getting people through the zoo safely. It was great to be back.
We loved the zoo! The parking situation is terrible.
Boo at the zoo was cheesy. No real vendors and not enough candy being handed out. Compared to years past.
Great place for the family!! Don't forget to save your icee cups for next time refills are super cheap!
Some of the big cats looked like they needed more space. I easily spent 4 hours here and I could have used more time.
Awesome poo lace dont miss the elephants and polar bears
I love the Denver zoo so much. It's just a wonderful place to spend the day.
The COVID-19 precautions with one way foot traffic was very organized. We were surprised to see how big the zoo felt even when it's in the middle of City Park. They have made lots of improvements including an interactive exhibit with sting rays. I am a local and spent nearly 3 hours there!
Today was an adventure. The animal's were up and moving. I had a Great time with my family out West. ;).
My kids love the zoo, it's always clean. Great views of the animals and shows
We love coming here to see all the variety of animals, always a great time!
It was very expensive just to see plants. Very few animals really didn't get to see much. And the light show was awful. I wish I had my money back. Just to walk around in the cold.
Very nice zoo. Many of the enclosures were very large. Went at 10am and so many of the animals were very active! Even the reptiles! A lot of construction is happening to make bigger and better homes for the animals. I've definitely been to bigger, nicer zoos but for a downtown zoo they do a very good job. And the price is AMAZING. Plus free parking!
The Zoo is beautiful and since it was my daughter & I 1st time going we enjoyed our experience
Key exhibits include the new Asian Tropics, Predator Ridge, and Bird World. There is so much to see and to learn. You could plan an entire day spent here and to be educated on everything if you really take the time to do so.
There is an onsite Animal Hospital being built at the Denver Zoo along with other amazing updates and additions to the park. The big cat houses are under construction for expansion and remodel.
The pedestrian landscape is gorgeous and very Colorado. Original, updated, or brand new the exhibits display much of the animal and it's habitat. With plenty of new projects going on at the Denver Zoo right now it is an exciting time when you see all the work getting done. It's an amazing feeling.
Enjoy your time here in Denver, Colorado and since while you're in City Park visit the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The museum's atrium views of the Central Platte Valley are breathtaking with the backdrop of the front range.

Attended Zoo Lights - wonderful experience. I plan to visit again soon. Great food/snacks and entire area is immaculately clean. The personnel obviously take very good care of this top-rate location.
I love this zoo. A lot of fun animals, and they all seem very well cared for. A number of peacocks roam the zoo, and if you're lucky, you might see some baby peacocks. The local bus can take you right to the entrance. Lots of benches.
There are a handful for food spots, but it is pretty darn expensive. The gift shop is nice.
But by far my favorite part was the lorikeet experience. An enclosed with loose lories and lorikeets, and every so often you can purchase nectar to feed them. It is magical. A few are friendly enough to perch on your hand, but not all. Some do not like that and will gently nip you. Look out for the poop though, those things can shoot it 3 feet away. And they poop often.
Overall, super fun, never really gets old. 9.5/10, would strongly recommend
Love the Denver zoo definitely in the top five places to spend a day in Denver.
It's not world famous, but it's a great place. My kids have always loved going
I loved this zoo!! I've been to quite a few but really enjoyed this experience. Also, there was a rhino just born and should be ready for viewing in 6-8 weeks from what I've read! Also, they have Tapirs which i was really excited for, but didnt get a chance to see unfortunately.
Very good zoo. Lots of space to walk around and see the animals.
We love going to the zoo. Everyone there is very nice!
I am a season pass holder and it doesn't matter how many times we go to the zoo. My kids absolutely love it.
Fun for the kids, but it was a game of "find the animals" that did not look like they wanted to be there.
Over-rated to others across the country i.e. Minnesota and San Diego
Denver Zoo gets 5 stars because it is one of the biggest and best zoos we have ever visited. Signage is clear and visible from the roadway. Restrooms are clean, well stocked and open for everyone.
The animals are taken care of quite well. Clean cages, fresh water and shade from the hot sun. We personally have gone to the Denver Zoo twice and have enjoyed ourselves both times. Plan on spending the entire day this way you will have enough time to see everything.
Incredible animals are there. The zoo keepers take excellent care of the animals
Zoo lights are always good to see. Don't forget to get a hot chocolate with Bailey's.
Love the Denver zoo, great habitats and conservation efforts. I'm so glad we have such a good zoo in Colorado
Love the zoo, large and have a good consistency with animals actually being out.
This is a decent zoo. We were all a little disappointed with the amount of exhibits that were unoccupied but overall a good experience.
Great place to spend some time with the family. They have a good amount of animals. They are working on a new tiger enclosure. Definitely a place to visit in Denver
Get there early. It's an all day event if you're planning to see all or large majority of the animals. Denver museum is next door.
Nice place to spend the morning getting some exercise. The BBQ lunch beats a lot of famous BBQ places.
This place is freaking awesome there's so much to do and it's so fun the issue is that everything here cost so much money.
It's a good place to know the animals. Clean, nice and friendly.
This place was fun. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Visited during covid so quite a bit of stuff is closed. Overall a good experience. Need to come back when it's not so hot kids started to get over heated
Who doesn't love the zoo where your family can get some nice walking in and your kids can learn about animals you don't see everyday. Prices are a bit high for food and drink and treasures but it helps the animals so it's worth it. We have a family pass and would go every day if we could
I always love the zoo and hos you can really see the animals up close. The animal ambassadors are so knowledgeable about every animal. Great social distancing and felt it wasnt crowded and everyone was respectful in giving you space.
An amazing zoo at a great cost value for a family...especially when you buy a family annual pass.
Had a blast at the zoo, I wish the Polar Bear was still there!
We love this zoo. Last time, we went in the morning rather than the afternoon and all the animals were really active.
It was a brutal hot day but it was very enjoyable and a pleasure to see the new lion cub with Mommy and Daddy.
Denver Zoo is an awesome place and has grown up so much since I first started going in 1970. Although it can get way overcrowded because too many people have moved to Colorado lately, it's still worth visiting during the week.
Such a fun zoo with a variety of indoor and outdoor attractions. Love the Toyota Elephant Passage and if you're able to catch a slow, the zookeepers have such wonderful information to share. Download the app for a map, schedule, and to see each animal and even know their names and ages!
I've been to several zoos around the country. Parking at the Denver Zoo is tough, but I really enjoy it once I get inside. The giraffe exhibit is very nice. You can see them at ground level to appreciate their height and grace, and for a bit more you can get closer, feed them, and have a nice interaction.
The extensive elephant habitat is impressive. I like the fact that the lions, hyenas, and African wild dogs share the same enclosure. You won't get to see all 3 at once, but rotating the animals on exhibit is better for the animals. This is a very different kind of enrichment program, and I appreciate it.
Horrible parking at 1030 on a Tuesday. Took 30 min to find a spot and 25 min to walk to the entrance.
Good besides the parking but started the day rough.
It was nice to go on cloudy day. No crowds easy parking. Kids had a great time!
Scary crowds on free day- not a surprise really but if you want to park anywhere near the zoo get there before it opens. Otherwise it's a pretty good zoo with lots of different animals.
My friend and I visited the zoo today for the first time since the Covid pandemic. We were thoroughly impressed with all the safety precautions put in place. I personally loved the direction arrows that told you where to travel and I appreciated all the little lifeguard stands making sure everyone followed the rules. Many thanks to the other volunteers who greeted us along the way thanking us and providing facts about some of the wildlife. And what an amazing experience with the new Stingray Cove! So much fun and very cool being able to pet and feed the stingrays and sharks. I absolutely loved it!! The baby lion cubs and rhino were so adorable and there are were new animals I had never seen before! Awesome new bear exhibit. Will definitely come back. ThankYou Denver Zoo!!!
AMAZING. Hot chocolate with Fireball shots during Zoo lights and selfies with santa! What more could an adult ask for!!
I love the zoo... just be aware of the coffee shop at the entrance... I ordered a Venti size coffee and it was half way full. Not worth it!
I love zoo and how clean it's kept. It's always such a fun trip with the kids. However I had to park nearly a half mile at Wash Park. Both the museum and zoo need to tackle the parking situation.
Great zoo, with ethical treatment of their animals. Friendly staff, though the cost is a tad high for a family.
The zoo was very fun and is a place to be with the family
Exhibits were large which is cool for the animals but not so much for sightseeing.
Lots of closures and construction going on at the moment,
This zoo is amazing. Very big, and so much to see and do. There are lots of live shows many times a day. Plenty of places to eat and lots of souvenirs shops throughout this zoo!
Visiting from DC, just looking for simple attractions to visit. To sum it up, this zoo should be free. You re charged admission for a zoo with little to no animals, majority birds. Better off going to the Botanic Gardens if I wanted to see empty displays with plants.
I love the zoo! It's where you walk around and see all the animals. Their food is a little overpriced though so you might want to pack a lunch. I was their to see the zoo all lite up with Christmas decorations. It was pretty cool however not many of the animals would come out like that so you could see them.
I took my niece to the zoo this week for her birthday and was very pleasantly surprised. They are doing a wonderful job with social distancing and I found the crowd to very accepting and respectful to one another. Our favorite stop was the shark and stingray pool! It does cost an additional $5 per person, but we'll-worth it. The staff was extremely helpful helping guide us through the changes all day. I definitely recommend a trip, it helped give us a sense of normalcy even with masks on!
Awesome. Worth it more if you have the zoo pass! You don't have to see everything in one day. Just keep coming back. Pays itself off after a couple visits.
It is amazing there are so many animals and stuff to watch or do.
Great walk so pretty amazing animals what a great day it was
Zoo lights baby! Beautiful setup. Well worth the price of admission for the lights. Only a couple animals out on the cold winter night, but still super cool.
Fantastic zoo overall. The admission is a bit steep but worth it.
It was my firtst visit to the zoo with my family, and we had a blast. I really enjoyed the brew at the zoo, my wife enjoyed the gift shop, and the kid had all the fun. We will be going back.
This is a fun zoo. We had a good time. The sea lions are fun to watch swim.
Such a special place. Love bring all the kiddos here. I remember how special it was when I was a child. Now I am sharing that with the next generation. They take amazing care of all the animals.
