Always have fun when we come here, a lot of kid spots which is great for my little one the only thing negative I've noticed is some of the habitats weren't as clean as they should be and there is always some sort of construction going on

Busy.

Busy.
Kids running around without supervision. Loud and obnoxious. Was hoping to go on a non-busy, school day, a Tuesday. But, there were bus loads of kids.

Animals were amazing. Lots of exhibits. Lots going on.

Some of the eateries did not open on time and took a while to have food ready.

Always a fun place to go with the family! Today was not as great as the other times due to tigers and lions and bears o my were not out but it was still a fun filled day! Prices you pay are a little high but knowing it goes back into the care of the animals is good. Never a dull moment

Always a fun day at the Denver Zoo! The animal enclosures are nice, they give you a good opportunity to see the animals. If you go in the morning, you will probably see more animals than if you go later in the day. Concession prices are a little steep, but you can bring your own food/drinks in. The docents are knowledgeable and engage with visitors. Plenty of shaded areas and places to sit. Parking can be a hassle, but if you get there early it's not a problem.

If your planning on using your SNAP card to get in with a discount think again. Even though its on their web page they will not honor that discount. I took my children thinking that they would be honorable to their word and their web page but they will not. Plz dont put your children through the humiliation I faced. We will never return.

This zoo is so amazing! We had so much fun! We went during the summer on a hotter day and it was impossible to find a way to see the entire zoo in one day. This place is huge! There are so many animals and so many little activities for the young ones to do throughout the park. The staff is very amazing. They saved us a shoe that was thrown by my tot near the ape spot. Lol. They helped us leave by going through employee s only gates because they could tell that we were very hot and had a small one that needed to go home. It was really sweet of this one employee to do! The food is not bad and of course it s very expensive. It is park prices. Overall, one of the best zoos in the nation and I must visit for anyone who comes to our lives in Colorado!

Best zoo I have been to, and I have been to a lot of zoos. Elephant exhibit was fantastic, the guest service was great, they put a lot of effort into providing info about how to help the endangered species, everything was well maintained, and the salad and falafel at the cafe were great.

Im not local, but it was very comparative to kansas city zoo. They have a cheetah which was awesome. The elephants enclosure was really cool. When i was there alot of animals werent out and about.

Rather small zoo, and the indoor exhibits kind of suck, but my kids loved the merry go round and the elephant show was really cool. Food is expensive, as expected. Can get a good view of the animals.

We sprung for the year long family pass and I couldn't be happier. We go about once per month and always find something new to see and do. The zoo is constantly improving the habitats - the elephant/rhino section is amazing, and the new tiger exhibit looks thrilling. Zoo Lights every year are a true highlight for our kiddo (bring a wagon with a blanket). My spouse and I love the Brew at the Zoo as a special couple's evening. You can't go wrong here!

My family and I came to visit the "famous and marketed" Elephant Passage. Unfortunately, we were miss guided and completely missed the elephant show because we were told to sign up for a time to walk through the new exhibit which we thought would have the show. We decided to come back again a second time and planned our visit with the sole purpose of catching the various shows.

As we purchased the tickets, we were informed that the train was not working, but the front staff did NOT inform us that any other shows were canceled, even as we mentioned that while the train was not working we were there to see the other shows/feedings.

The first frustration came as we walked up and saw that the sea lion feeding was canceled. We then walked to the elephant show and that too had been canceled, I was outraged, as many other parents were. Suddenly they announced the show was going to take place. With filled seats we watch the staff put on a pathetic effort to cover up the cancelled show and appease the crowd.

We purposely made the long drive only to see the early morning shows. Had I known that these were cancelled, I would not have made the drive or paid for entry.

I love this zoo. I have been going here my entire life and it never gets old. The zoo has done a great job of modernizing throughout the years and have definitely expanded as well. There are a large amounts of animals to see as well a lot of great activities throughout for kids. The zoo lights are very good as well around Christmas time. One big plus here is you're able to bring in your own food and drink, but the concession options are very diverse and of quality, maybe a little pricey. Make sure you arrive early parking is awful during peak hours.

My 2 1/2 year old absolutely loves the zoo, I find myself there 2 or 3 times a month and I couldn't be happier to take a trip down there. The park is beautiful and the animals are well looked after.

There's never enough time to spend at the Zoo. I enjoyed this one immensely. Birds were on my list here in addition to many other sights and sounds. Interactions with staff were informative. Only in the area for a visit, I learned about recent babies and the care being done to slowly introduce them to the public. Walkways were well marked. I would enjoy a return visit, or two or three.

Great zoo! Too many habitats were closed though (May 2018) and a lot of the habitats only had 1 or 2 animals, weird. I loved that the fencing around the habitats were low enough for kids in strollers and wagons to see over, yet they were still safely distanced from the animals.

Very good. Good variety. The zoo seems to be designed in a way that you can see the animals relatively close, particularly the giraffes. I assume it was sheer luck, but numerous animals were kind of posing for the pictures or ar least getting close to our spot at the right time.

I'm not sure if it was just my luck, but the bigger animals were not out. Dorothy would not have had a need to be scared, because the Lions, Tigers and Bears were no where to be seen, along with the Leopard, Otter, Penguin and Gorilla's. But the reptile and amphibian exhibit was great!

Wow. I m used to the Saint Louis zoo but you can tell this place REALLY do care about the animals that they take care of. Not only that but they are very into waste management with their recycling, and also in to educating the public about the animals they house. It was very very obvious of their mission and that was just from me walking around reading the signs and viewing their staff while they worked. Also seeing how their exhibits allow the animals more freedom than anything I ve ever seen before. Which is absolutely amazing. What a great thing for the animals. Again I am comparing this to the St. Louis zoo which has been beat completely.

Lots of construction going on. The animals that we were able to see were great. Clean and open facility. Would like to have known that all monkeys, apes and bears were not viewable due to the construction.

Big zoo with lots of variety of animals. The enclosures are open and easy to view but the glass was so full of hand prints and smudges it was hard to see some exhibits. The rest of the zoo and walk ways are clean and it's not smelly. It's worth going to visit but go on a cooler day since it can get very sunny and hot.
