Good day at the zoo. Very calm and fun. They're COVID process is great. I took my baby for the first time she had fun. Just be ready to walk! Take some water and you should be fine to enjoy.

Xmas lights were great and saw some animals after hours as well
If you lost something as important as your 2 year olds security woobie, and you call to have them do something as simple as look in their lost and found box (I live kinda far away), don t expect any help. Their policy is to never go out of their way to help their members (I paid $185 for a family membership and they wouldn t even take the time look in the box). They ll call you if it turns up . To lazy to help. I feel for the animals if the staff is this incredibly lazy. I mean the elephants routinely show signs of depression like swaying, and if you can t move your feet enough to look in a damn box, then you shouldn t be caring for wild animals.
Kid friendly, great zoo to visit. This zoo does a very good job of rotating exhibits and has plenty of knowledgeable staff throughout the zoo. I have visited on multiple occasions and every time I have been pleasantly pleased. I would highly recommend buying your ticket from mine as even when the zoo opens the line to purchase and mission is very long.
A wonderful day visiting the animals. Loved the African Wild dog puppies.
Took my family here while on vacation. The entire experience was memorable. We look forward to going again someday
Great zoo. Always working to betterment, and promoting environmental and conservation-minded awareness.
Love the exhibits and that the animals are well cared for. They are involved in helping wildlife outside of the zoo
Hate zoo's... but! All the animals at Denver's zoo seemed happy
We always love our Denver Zoo! Can t wait to see the new bear exhibit. We love having a membership so we can come anytime, especially when the kids need to nap, we don t feel pressured to see everything. As always thank you!
Very nice improvements in place, & planned for the immediate future.
It is always fun to go to the zoo with my grandkids. Each time I go, it seems there is always something new to see.
We always have a great time at the zoo and usually make the journey once a year. It's really come a long way with all the new habitats. I think the Denver Zoo can be ranked with some of the best zoos.
As zoos go, a little below the enclosure quality that i expected
Love that the peacocks are running around freely and it has great exhibits overall. Don't miss the grizzly and polar bears!
Only complaint would be that the zoo is laid out in an awkward manner and can be confusing to navigate at times, even with a map.
Fantastic Zoo; huge and you will want to go again, and again, and again!
Very fun for kids. Enough things to do and see and the zoo itself is set up very conveniently.
Lots to do and lots to see. It was a wonderful experience.
This is absolutely the best zoo I've ever,me and my family had a blast looking at the animals at such close range never had such an experience. This is a must and parking is free
One of the best zoos I've been to. The lion exhibit is incredible. There are 4 male lions from the same family. The new bear exhibit is great too!
Good workers, not to busy, lots of animals to see and learn about! All animals and locations have facts and information to read and look at. No lines or waiting. Food is a little expensive, but to be expected, and is decent.
This Zoo was great. So fun and lots to do. Parking was a little rough. So you might want to show up early. But other than that. It was great
Had an absolute great time! The Zoo was clean, the animals were great.. people were nice
Great zoo with lots to do and see! Relatively high density, lots of things packed into smaller space so it can get crowded.
It was an enjoyable experience, but, last year was much better.
Many of the exhibits were closed or animals unavailable. It was disappointing to go to a zoo and not see cats, monkeys and only one elephant. It would have been nice to know so many animals would be off exhibit then we could have chosen another day.
Fairly large zoo with a variety of animals. I loved the monkey island, and we chose to become members that day. They even let you apply the cost of admission towards your membership!
Great place to bring grandkids! We only stayed about 3 hours, could have stayed much longer. Many great animals that are well cared for.
Great family experience, elephant and sea lion shows are great
It's a good zoo, but there's no highlights of the trip, average zoo animals, free parking is nice
This is the best shooting gallery ever! The animals look so life like you almost feel bad using live rounds.
Always new updates and they are making better to view all the animals.
It breaks my heart seeing animals in small cages and hot rooms. I had to walk out of one of the buildings because of what the animal s living area was.
very expensive for us seniors and the zoo was a dump compared to our Houston. The landscape was all trashed out pitiful really and hardly saw amything good about and wish someone donated to redoing the whole zoo for the visitors from other states.Sorry Denver it is an embarassing place
Watching how they trained the zoo animals. Most of the habitat spaces are very natural. The weather was perfect in June.
I absoluetely love this zoo. Yes its old and some structurrs ain't up to date. But as long as the animals are well cared for. Its all that matters. I go here fee times during the year. The staff is always nice and plus the animals are exciting.
We had a great time exploring the Zoo Lights, an awesome tradition every winter at the zoo.
Its a great place many many animals. Best time to go is in September or October. Very pricy on all things sold in there.
State law mandates people 10 and older to wear a mask. At the gate I was forced to pay 20 dollars for my 6 and 4 year old to have a mask. Maybe they could have advertised that rule on their website? I ask the lady at the gift shop where her masks are, and she tells me "go look, youll find them." All the lady's at the consession stands were too busy gossiping to take my order. They Messed it up multiple times. Maybe my expectations are too high for someone that works at a zoo. They also had the nerve to charge me 79 cents for 6 month old. I paid 70 in admission fees to see 2 monkeys and a bird!
best zoo. Brought my nephew there and spent the whole day. He loved it.
I went with a school trip and was so fun. Good shows, great and knowledgeable staff! Not too crowded (although it was a weekday). Fun.
Very happy with my visit today! This zoo is well maintained. The animals seem to be quite happy. It was a great day out!
Lots of really interesting animals to see, but i can't help from getting sad that they are locked in cages rather than roaming in the wild. And the $18 price of admission seemed expensive.
Spent a nice quiet day there. Always enjoy the ZOO. Drink prices are outrageous so bring a Picknick. Remember CO SNAP card gets you in for a buck so plan a good day away with lovedones.
Great facilities. They don't have trash cans, only compost and recycle bins.
Love seeing the animals.. especially the elephants.
Not at all friendly if you have any limited moblity
The Denver Zoo does a great job with conservation, taking care of animals, and sharing with people on what they can do in their communities on how to preserve wildlife.
Disappointing on some of the enclosures. Animals should not be walking on cement and larger animals should have larger areas.
It was the first time I had been there since the 90s,and it was nice. I was there as part of an after hours party, and there weren't any screaming kids. The lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) were awesome, and they had very nice and respectful enclosures.
I hate it the animals are treated poorly they are in cages and also the food is already catched for the animals how disgusting
Loved it, one of the top 3 zoo's I've been too... must go
Zoo lights are a great date night plus education about ALL da animals for the lil ones! :D
I don't know if they were volunteers, or what, but on my most recent visit all kinds of official-ish looking people kept coming up to us and spouting animal facts. I like to make up my own animal facts. For example, as far as my kids know, elephants are just two tall people in a big grey suit and were created as a publicity stunt by the Walt Disney corporation for "Dumbo."
It's a nice zoo, but would have been nice to see all the animals and not several construction areas. Overall a good family time.
Great zoo my dad works there so nice to visit him and enjoy all the beautiful animals!
Small but full of animals, going to watch elephant show!!!! Great family fun!!!!
Parking is rough. If you are not getting here before it opens, you're going to have a hard time finding decent parking. Otherwise, this Zoo is AWESOME. Great place to bring family and enjoy the beautiful Denver weather. Food is a little pricey, so i would recommend eating before and after. Entire park is kept clean and staff is always pleasant.
Everytime i go its been amazing. Thank you for sharing the animals and the experience. We will always come back.
Fun place, great place to spend the day with family friends or just a day out with your significant other.
Decent zoo. They have low emissions only parking that isnt enforced, always full of suvs - feel free to park in them with whatever as they obviously dont care and only do it as a token effort.
Make sure to get a caregiver pass with your membership if you have a nanny!
went with my girlfriend for zoo lights and it was amazing! Very impressed with what they did for the lights.
Great place to have family fun. Make sure that you come early beacuse this place is huge. Takes awhile to make it all the way around. Pack a lunch and plenty of fluids. Perfect place to have a picnic.
Saw two elephants fighting over freshwater was pretty sad but other than that I love the zoo
I absolutely love coming here and spending my time with the animals. The staff is friendly and I appreciate how they always take the time to chat with you about the animals. I feel like each time I visit I've learned something new. I am looking forward to their expansion and the new grizzly habitat.
Timed tickets are the best! I would gladly pay extra to keep the crowds down once covid19 dies down. Makes the experience much more pleasant.
We have an annual membership and visit regularly. The kids love it, we love it.
Fun way to spend the day! So many adorable babies there to see!
I love the zoo! And they are working very hard to improve the habitats and make it a better experience for both the visitors and the animals. Every single encounter I've had with so employees has been pleasant as well.
Well maintained and a great place to visit with your friends and family!
