Enjoyed our school field trip today! Lots of blooming flowers this time of the year. Kiddos for landscaping! The field of daffodils near the giraffe / tiger exhibits is stunning! It was just an open space where peacocks used to hang out.. Some animals are "temporarily relocated" (bears). Highlight of the day was to watch a young hippo playing with ball in the pool. Zoo got crowded fast. Wonder if they have stats on how much attendance grew since 2005. I don't remember seeing such crowds back then. Heard people complaining how long it now takes to stay in line to buy ticket. Couple things the zoo administration should improve: 1) parking situation, 2) train/carousel ticket booth. Please keep parking free and think of ways to expand it. Line for train/carousel token booth gets too long, please find ways of selling them online or install another booth next to these attractions. Overall, these days it's best to take a day off during the week for a visit.

Such a lovely place filled with incredible animals! Plenty of hand sanitizer after being around high touch areas. The one-way traffic definitely helped the place from becoming congested. Be sure to bring your own water!

The Denver Zoo is a great day out for the family, with plently to see and live demonstrations (if you remember times).
The zoo can get really crowded in the weekends and parking can get stressful if you dont arrive early

Pretty good zoo overall, only $15 for an adult ticket. I'd say a good 90% of the exhibits were good for viewing the animals. However I do not advise going until it is actually summer, a lot of the animals were not available or were unable More

Very good zoo. I would highly suggest seeing this zoo. It's large with a great selection of anything you can think of. The exhibits are great for the animals very roomy and they are well taken care of. The zoo is top notch and you could spend several hours here with no problem.

Great place to bring the family. They have many, many different types of animals. The souviner shops are nice. Many of the enclosures are large. The reptile house is a fun place to go, especially if it's snowing or raining. The tiger exhibit is a sight to see, it is massive ABC the tigers have the option of walking on a car walk located above you. The elephant exhibit is very nice, heavily advertised by Toyota but that is to be expected. They have 5 bull elephants. They are doing construction to make better enclosers for a few of the animals. The animal demonstrations are fun and very informative. You get the feeling that the zoo workers enjoy the work they do, even most of the animals seem content. For a downtown zoo this place is fantastic. Free parking is offered so you can't beat that.

One way traffic, sanitation stations, dedicated staff to guide you and answer questions... The changes and extra precautions may be a little bit inconvenient, but they've done a great job to keep it an enjoyable experience while being socially responsible.
The stingray exhibit was great! A fun new experience for the family.
The most disappointing part of the experience was that all of the indoor enclosures were closed, but I understand that it may be neccessary at this time.

My son said to be generous so were giving this zoo a 4 star. I thought about a three star mostly because nothing really made me go wow that's cool. Though I did enjoy the layout of many of their exibits. I've been to lesser zoo's and this one isn't bad by any stretch. A good time with the family and friends

I arranged for a special group tour for some veterans and their families with Ms. Wilson. I couldn't have been more thrilled with the service and attention our group received. They broke us into smaller groups so that everyone received a personal experience with zoo volunteers. The information and tours each of our mini groups received was above and beyond what any of us expected. We even got to meet the zoo CEO! In all, we couldn't have been any happier and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Denver. I'll gladly return, this is truly one of the best zoos in the country!

Denver has one of the best zoo's ever. I have traveled quite a bit and my home town zoo is still my absoulte favorite. It's really not too crowed during the week! And if you get there early you can see all the shows for free. A little pricey to get in but it all goes to a good cause and keeping the animals happy. The exhibits always look clean!

We love the Denver Zoo. I've been to several in the country and this is easily the most underrated, and one of the very best! The Animals are well cared for and the extra educational bits are fantastic!

Hadn't been since back when I lived in Colorado in 2008, but all my memories of how amazing this zoo is were still correct! They have great animal interactions and the zoo is huge so you could easily spend the day here.

Absolutely breathtaking! There were so many animals I didn t even know existed. $20 entry for 1 adult I think is a good amount to help the animals. I was overall content. They have stands with water and snacks around the areas. They have photo booths, gift shop, and events with the animals!! I loved it. Thank you everyone who works there!

The zoo is always a fun place to go. However I feel like of you get there later the price of entry should change to half price since we wont be able to see the whole zoo. By 5 we were being escorted out and we didn't see the whole east side of the zoo and we got there at 3.

The zoo was wonderful, a cooler morning brought the animals out which was awesome. They have really continued to invest in the enclosures and have such beautiful and natural spaces for the animals which is always great to see! They did a nice job on Covid- fewer guests (so we could see more animals!) and wearing a mask was well with it! Can't wait to return!!

A beautiful place with world class animal Care. One of my favorite places on Earth. There's always something new and exciting happening (babies!!!) And the mission of the zoo couldn't be better.

The Denver Zoo is a great way to keep the kiddos entertained!!!This was our first trip to the Denver Zoo. Though they had recently had some snow Fall, most of the animals were out and bathing in the sunlight. My family and I have been to a number of zoos and aquariums, but Denver Zoo definitely gives the visitors an up close and personal experience...but with the safety aspect as well!I absolutely LOVE the tiger exhibit, but I'm biased (Big Cats are my favorite animals). There is lots of new construction and upgrades going on, but still lots to see and do. The staff was very friendly and informative. My family didn't get a chance to see the Polar Bears, Sloths or Porcupines but we still have LOTS of fun!!! We would definitely visit again!!!

This is a lovely zoo with great foliage and scenery to wander through. I will unfortunately not be back and it is at no fault of the zoo, but simply adults refuse to be aware of their surroundings and would continue to stand, cough, sneeze too close to you. Be aware that on hot sunny days most animals are inside and with the pandemic in effect you cannot go indoors where many of the exhibits are. Unfortunately people are not willing to social distance at this zoo and you will have adults continually brushing up against you or running up next to you with little regard for face mask wearing or keeping at least arms length apart. The few animals that were out were being blocked from veiw by people resting on the only viewable areas. While the paths are wide they will put a beating on anything with wheels, it's also impossible to maintain any distance with adults continually resting in the middle of the road not allowing you to pass. I did have to wait to use the baby changing room as yet again a mother with 8 kids choose to stop in front of the doors, (not using it) to rest and call her brood over to give out snacks. With as many volunteers and zookeepers constantly around I would have hoped for some enforcement to maintain distance but sadly they looked defeated and unwilling to say anything to the grown adults constantly assaulting others by stopping next to a stranger. Still a lovely zoo, just wouldnt suggest going with the current pandemic atmosphere.

Good time overall, except the lady that was selling beers with the name tag E, Garcia on 3/22 was telling people they got half off beer refills to sell the special beer cup only to find out it was a dollar off a refill but 4 extra for that glass. OUTRAGEOUS. Then the manager came over and heard my story and shrugged and walked away. Worthless service to paying customs. Eat before dont waste your money because they will lie about the prices to you. What a shady place. Never coming back.

I've been coming here my whole life (30 years) and I still enjoy going and now I take my kids too. I still love to see all the animals, old and new, the updated enclosures are great for the animals who get to enjoy them. The only ones who make me a little sad are the bears. I hope they update their enclosures soon. Plenty of spots for kids to run and play and burn energy. Entertaining shows if you go early. Food choices are pretty good and who doesn't love ice cream, carousels and train rides??? Beware the geese, they're aggressive. And for the love of animals, keep your children from harassing the peacocks or any number of the baby geese, ducks or peacocks running around!

Great experience visiting this Zoo. Highly recommended when you visit Denver. Lots of animals. I saw giraffes and elephants for the first time. I also enjoyed the penguins. It was so nice to be able to see all of these animals. If you are in Denver you should visit this place. You can get the Citypass which help you go to the attractions cheaper. We would love to have more time. But we didn't have a lot of time there. We also visit the aquarium and the Museum of Nature and Science. Enjoy the pictures.

Denver Zoo is just amazing. The layout is great and the food truck there is a cool addition. We love going and seeing how the animals there are growing and everything that the Denver Zoo does for conservation world wide.

My wife and I came here while visiting family. Had a blast! I even saw the new baby lion! Almost got to feed a giraffe and talked to a penguin like, I squaked it squawked back then I flapped my arms it flapped its "wings?" They should be called flippers. And ya tried riding a hippo then fell off... it's harder than it looks. I'll add a photo as proof.
