Lots of interesting animals to see and reasonably realistic enclosures. Although the zoo does take part in conservation programmes they really do not provide enough space for the animals.

The Zoo is one of Denver's treasures. Just the right size to stay for the day. Each habitat is easy to navigate, on site concessions are pricey but of good quality. The place is always tidy and well maintained. Lots of staff everywhere. If you or your kids have questions, a staff member familiar with the habitat will be nearby. Several exhibits have interactive displays. There is a train for young kids to ride and a beautiful, family friendly carousel. A day at the zoo never disappoints!

Its the zoo come on people, its amazing animals, love going on week days. And they are building and expanding currently as we speak for a new bear enclosure. Love animals, DONT JUMP THE FENCES, enjoy the zoo

We love the zoo and have been members for years. We heard about how great it's been with less people because of covid but I was really disappointed with the crowd size. Impossible to stay 6ft away from others and the directions and traffic almost makes it feel more tight squeezed. Writing this because I wish I would have known before going.

I took my toddler and baby. It was not too busy Tuesday. I purchased the membership, it pays for itself in 4 visits. They are constantly updating the exhibits. There is a really fun water area, it is small and tucked away so it feels safe to let the toddler wander. It is near the sea lions.

Exhibits are getting better all the time but some are still too small. Maybe instead of saving city park golf course we could convey it into another part of the zoo. Perhaps a zoo botanical gardens endeavor.

We went recently for the first time since pre-Covid. I felt like they did a great job with taking precautions to keep things socially distanced and we felt comfortable being there with our almost-2-year-old so we re-upped our membership and will make more frequent visits!

Always a good time at Denver zoo. The animals are well cared after. The staff is friendly and they are always expanding! They host lots of events as well. I have the season pass and it is Definitely worth it! Even If you live in Colorado springs like me.

This place is from a time long past. The animals are kept in horribly small barely maintained exhibits, and they all looked miserable. The staff was friendly, when you found them, but most of the time it felt like I was exploring an abandoned run down amusement park. The tropical exhibit was pretty cool, and being fr ok m Florida I can say the feel inside was spot on, and those animals were kept in sizable environments for their type, but the tanks were filthy, and it was 11 am. The price was fair, and they claim to use the money for conservation initiatives, so I dont regret my experience, but I have absolutely 0 reason to return, as was the consensus in my party of 4. Worth checking out if you have a weekend, but be prepared to feel something for those animals.

Great zoo for families, compact but yet a lot to look at and do. Very easy to spend over 2 hours here merely just walking and looking at exhibits. There are a lot of extra things that you can opt to do while you are there, animal experiences and other things.

Always something to see here. For a captive animal location all animals seem to be comfortable with their surroundings/enclosures. One of the most family friendly places you can be a part of in Denver. Concessions are always great. Tons of family entertainment as far as shows and animal seminars for the children. Close to downtown lots of other things to do in the area if you don't spend all day here. If you carry the SNAP card you can get in for $1!

First time here, very nice, enjoyed it very much. Plenty of shade, animals I've never seen before, children had a great time. We caught the elephant show and the sea lion show, and saw a whole family of gorillas. A very nice family day outing. Thanks!

Lots of animals to see. Make sure you get there early because by noon the animals are either asleep or off display. The gift shop is not worth it but the 4d movie experience and other attractions are.

Was pleasantly surprised how nice the zoo was. I really like the themed area and diversity in the animals. We went in the winter, and didn't expectuch with all the snow, but they had lots of animals to see, and shows to watch. The place was well kept, and people were great at explaining things to the kids and seemed to really enjoy the animals. The tropical are had lots of animals as well to explore, and it was all inside. Would definitely recommend the Denver zoo,

We come here all the time. Before the pandemic is was a 5 out of 5 with courtesy and service always being amazing. And nothing has changed the zoo has done a great job of social distancing people. Couldn't feel safer

We went in the winter and not for Zoo Lights. It was interesting to see a good amount of the animals out and active. The Zoo was not slammed and we got to ask a lot of questions to the staff that worked directly with the animals in that section. From the pachyderms in musk, to the amazing young man named Troy at the Amazon that gave us a cool glimpse as to what it's like to be a herper (herpetologist) at the Zoo.

Everyone we interacted with was friendly, polite and helpful. The animals seem to be well taken care of and interacted with visitors. Our granddaughter enjoyed trick or treating and really enjoyed the elephant presentation.

There are not enough restrooms. Last time we went 2 different facilities were closed forcing lines of 20+ minutes at the other restrooms that were very far apart. That doesn't really work with a toddler.
