It was a good outdoor activity. The staff was friendly.
Nice zoo. Prices are a little high. A lot of different exhibits.
I was a little scared at first, I cannot believe how close the lions seem. I got to see everything other than gorillas which I was scared to see but wow beautiful animals
Excellent layout. Good shade spots. Animals look well kept and facility is clean. Employees are very friendly.
Great animal exhibits and lots of plants like the San Diego Zoo
Enjoyed a field trip w my Grandson's school. Lyn Knoll Rocks!!!
Lots of interesting animals to see and reasonably realistic enclosures. Although the zoo does take part in conservation programmes they really do not provide enough space for the animals.
Easy to navigate, great primate and elephant exhibits. A few of the enclosures were empty, but likely because we came out of season. Easy parking. Plan to visit again.
Do not recommend the halloween event at night. There is not much going on and too dark to see any animals. Was very disappointed and a complete waste of money
Great place place to visit if you a tourist. And the one thing that I like was that i can buy beer as I explore the zoo
The Zoo is one of Denver's treasures. Just the right size to stay for the day. Each habitat is easy to navigate, on site concessions are pricey but of good quality. The place is always tidy and well maintained. Lots of staff everywhere. If you or your kids have questions, a staff member familiar with the habitat will be nearby. Several exhibits have interactive displays. There is a train for young kids to ride and a beautiful, family friendly carousel. A day at the zoo never disappoints!
Zoo lights was fantastic, I would highly recommend it.
My favorite zoo! They seem to always have babies and their shows are amazing! Membership is totally worth it! But there are quite a few free days too!
Its the zoo come on people, its amazing animals, love going on week days. And they are building and expanding currently as we speak for a new bear enclosure. Love animals, DONT JUMP THE FENCES, enjoy the zoo
This is a great place to take the kids if the are board, great education, great informative staff. Animals seems happy. The place was very clean and we all had a great time.
Really fun animal selection is great for the wacky climate we have here. The new aisan tropics portion is amazing!!!
We love the zoo and have been members for years. We heard about how great it's been with less people because of covid but I was really disappointed with the crowd size. Impossible to stay 6ft away from others and the directions and traffic almost makes it feel more tight squeezed. Writing this because I wish I would have known before going.
I took my toddler and baby. It was not too busy Tuesday. I purchased the membership, it pays for itself in 4 visits. They are constantly updating the exhibits. There is a really fun water area, it is small and tucked away so it feels safe to let the toddler wander. It is near the sea lions.
Exhibits are getting better all the time but some are still too small. Maybe instead of saving city park golf course we could convey it into another part of the zoo. Perhaps a zoo botanical gardens endeavor.
We went recently for the first time since pre-Covid. I felt like they did a great job with taking precautions to keep things socially distanced and we felt comfortable being there with our almost-2-year-old so we re-upped our membership and will make more frequent visits!
Very nice zoo! We loved the red pandas and the elephants.
I went on a field trip it was the coolest zoo ever and the weather was perfect.Exept to wait a while to get there to the zoo in the bus that was crowded.
Great zoo! Perfect for a date or with a family. Good exibits. Healthy animals. Very fun.
Always a good time at Denver zoo. The animals are well cared after. The staff is friendly and they are always expanding! They host lots of events as well. I have the season pass and it is Definitely worth it! Even If you live in Colorado springs like me.
During the Pandemic and rain coming, I won't complain!
Great zoo. Needs to expand. Needs more access to animals on hot days.
Gotta love the Denver zoo! A few new baby's out and about today.
This place is from a time long past. The animals are kept in horribly small barely maintained exhibits, and they all looked miserable. The staff was friendly, when you found them, but most of the time it felt like I was exploring an abandoned run down amusement park. The tropical exhibit was pretty cool, and being fr ok m Florida I can say the feel inside was spot on, and those animals were kept in sizable environments for their type, but the tanks were filthy, and it was 11 am. The price was fair, and they claim to use the money for conservation initiatives, so I dont regret my experience, but I have absolutely 0 reason to return, as was the consensus in my party of 4. Worth checking out if you have a weekend, but be prepared to feel something for those animals.
The zoo was not too crowded and was well maintained
Awesome learning experience and if you love animals this is the place for you. 20.00 a person lots of food spots as well.
It's nice to now you can get in the zoo with a dollar Show them your good Stamp Card
Amazing zoo! Great lion exhibit as soon as you walk in. Membership affordable, too
Poor layout. They tried to help with an app, but prepare to be confused. But, upside, baby animals!
Outstanding, a lot of construction but the tech there is incredible
I fully understand that this is a city zoo but I find it appalling how small some of those enclosures are! The big cats need room! Not a 100x100 space.
Great zoo for families, compact but yet a lot to look at and do. Very easy to spend over 2 hours here merely just walking and looking at exhibits. There are a lot of extra things that you can opt to do while you are there, animal experiences and other things.
Our children absolutely love spending time at this zoo. I wish we were live closer to be able to come more often. Would highly recommend visiting!
Always something to see here. For a captive animal location all animals seem to be comfortable with their surroundings/enclosures. One of the most family friendly places you can be a part of in Denver. Concessions are always great. Tons of family entertainment as far as shows and animal seminars for the children. Close to downtown lots of other things to do in the area if you don't spend all day here. If you carry the SNAP card you can get in for $1!
They have a lot of animals, the zookeeper are really friendly and the zoo take care of the animals. The food there is great and the kids can enjoy the big areas.
Boo at the Zoo.
Weekends in October.
Lots of trick or treat stations set up for the kids.
Free parking.
Great zoo with a nice variety of animals. Beautiful walking paths around the zoo.
Parakeet garden is our favorite among all, I recommend go early in the morning to avoid the crowd. Bring lots of water to stay hydrate during a hot day. Bring a trolley for toddlers.
First time here, very nice, enjoyed it very much. Plenty of shade, animals I've never seen before, children had a great time. We caught the elephant show and the sea lion show, and saw a whole family of gorillas. A very nice family day outing. Thanks!
We had a great time at the Denver Zoo. Very well laid out and easy to navigate . Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The cost was reasonable it was not too big or small.
Very cool zoo just sucks to see caged up animals is all
Lots of animals to see. Make sure you get there early because by noon the animals are either asleep or off display. The gift shop is not worth it but the 4d movie experience and other attractions are.
Great place, lots of fun for the kids. Many learning opportunities, etc.
Always love the zoo . Construction is a normal thing now and puts a damper on seeing some animals. I will be happy when its all done.
Was pleasantly surprised how nice the zoo was. I really like the themed area and diversity in the animals. We went in the winter, and didn't expectuch with all the snow, but they had lots of animals to see, and shows to watch. The place was well kept, and people were great at explaining things to the kids and seemed to really enjoy the animals. The tropical are had lots of animals as well to explore, and it was all inside. Would definitely recommend the Denver zoo,
So big! Spent 3 hrs and walked over 5 miles around, and didn't even get to see everything!
Great place to pack a lunch and bring the kids. My little ones always enjoy going to the zoo.
Awesome place need more restrooms that are easier to find cuz when ya have kids and they gotta go can't be messing with maps and walking long distances to take them
I have seen the nation's largest and second largest zoo and still seen some animals and different exhibits that were not at those too. Kids loved it.
Nearly all of the animals were active. The staff are all friendly and care for the animals. All of the animals look comfortable and happy. Way to go Denver!
Got mixed up staff helpful and made us feel like vip
This zoo is incredible our favorite area was the elephants and the aquarium area maybe it's called the reptile house
We come here all the time. Before the pandemic is was a 5 out of 5 with courtesy and service always being amazing. And nothing has changed the zoo has done a great job of social distancing people. Couldn't feel safer
Decent zoo size with lots of statues. Most of the animals have large expansive areas so it feels less like a cage.
Loved this zoo, was a surprising adventure and the captive animals seemed happy considering their fate as prisoners.
For a city as big as Denver the zoo is lacking. I guess I'm just use to St. Louis zoo and the Memphis zoo
We went in the winter and not for Zoo Lights. It was interesting to see a good amount of the animals out and active. The Zoo was not slammed and we got to ask a lot of questions to the staff that worked directly with the animals in that section. From the pachyderms in musk, to the amazing young man named Troy at the Amazon that gave us a cool glimpse as to what it's like to be a herper (herpetologist) at the Zoo.
Get the family package pass, it's worth it. Easy to get around with lots of animals. Easy free parking as well.
Although kids love it. Its not good for animals locked up.
Everyone we interacted with was friendly, polite and helpful. The animals seem to be well taken care of and interacted with visitors. Our granddaughter enjoyed trick or treating and really enjoyed the elephant presentation.
There are not enough restrooms. Last time we went 2 different facilities were closed forcing lines of 20+ minutes at the other restrooms that were very far apart. That doesn't really work with a toddler.
Great place to bring the family and meet with friends. I always see something new every time I go.
Great place for a fun family day . Educational and Entertaining all at the same time.
Nice place but dont go in winter alot of animals are hiding
Great layout, animals are well taken care of, staff is friendly, grounds are clean.
