Lots of room for walking. Saw most animals. Loved natural habitats. Lots of food sold. Could use more parking and more signage in zoo. We enjoyed it

Super fun and educational. I will only go in the summer however
Animal steam very well taken care of and it's a wonderful place to spend the day.
Great visit took our daughters back 10yrs after our first visit.
Great zoo. If you live in area get an annual membership and come often. Membership is definitely worth it if you consider yourself a zoo visitor.
$40 bucks for 2 adults, kids under 3 free. Wednesday at about 11:00 and there was a line at the ticket counter. It was hot when we went so a lot of the animals were not out but they were nice displays and well maintained grounds. A lot of construction but that's usually the case at a big zoo. Outrageous prices for food and drinks - $4.79 for a bottle of smart water. Actually got a good deal on 2 fairly large stuffed toys.
I really do love the zoo. So much that we have a membership! I wish the parking lot here had an EV charger, but it's not far to walk from dmns. Get the reusable cup for soda or beer. Can't beat a fresh IPA while you're looking at okapis!
This zoo is phenomenal! The animals are very close and there are various demonstrations with the zoo keepers and the animals throughout the day. I loved being able to go see the animals and having them be so close to me! It's definitely not something you get at every zoo you go to. I would definitely go again!
Good fun, nice staff, and a great variety of animals. It was very busy with kids during the summer, but nothing too annoying. The only problems I had were there are very few, if any, food options for my family, who have severe gluten and dairy allergies and had to leave the park to eat. There were also a couple of cages that seemed too small for their animals. But I am also not a zoologist, so I may be wrong. Overall it was fun, I was there for around 6 hours and enjoyed it thoroughly.
We always have a blast when we come to the Denver Zoo!!
Great variety of animals, all seemed happy and well taken care of... fun time with nephew
Great place to take the kids but there's always too much people, hard to find parking.
Zoo was great. They did alot to keep your hands clean, although several of the cleaning stations were out of water. Very helpful staff, people were considerate and moved so the next people could see the animals. Garden areas were also nicely done & Legos were awesome!
The zoo is a fun place to Pokemon hunt and see the real.animals too!
Zoos = great
This zoo is even better than generic zoos
Super fun I love seeing all of the animals. It is worth the price because it takes a lot of time to go through the whole zoo. The elephant show was my favorite. I really like that they only use positive reinforsment with the animals.
lots to see. fun short presentations. definitely needed to take food breaks. full day to see everything.
People do social distance very good and not alot of people
Love visiting every time I come into town the animals are usually active and its a great experience seeing the variety on display
Loved the layout & the wonderful, varied landscaping & foliage, with plenty of shade & sun-dappled paths. A bit disappointed more of the animals weren't out.
It is a good family place to have fun and enjoy the animals and good walking area !!!
Great place to take the kids. Pro tip: get there at opening and get as deep as possible quickly to see the animals before the crowds disturb them!
Excellent zoo!! Excellent displays. Even though I don't like to see animals in cages, the animals look happy overall, except for the pacing tiger. Very well done. Love that the herd animals had herds to live with. It makes them happy and makes a much more realistic display for humans. Only suggestion, the gift shop t-shirts are geared more towards kids. To increase revenue, they should consider having more tasteful adult t-shirt selections. I wanted to buy a t-shirt, but most items had hot pinks, electric orange etc. Take a lesson from WDW -- they make Mickey, Dumbo and Tinkerbell wearable at any age. Overall though, one of my best experiences in Denver. Highly recommend it.
Amazing zoo! We are happy members and my kids loves coming here!
Great exhibits! They're always updating, the volunteers and docents are kind and helpful. Their main concern is happy animals...visitors do come second which in my opinion is the way it should be. Gift shop is great, there's more food choices than any other zoo I've been to! Their conservation efforts are astounding. Yes they're going to tell you what to do...gasp (sarcastic) But only because it really will help the environment that the animals live in (I.E. eliminate one product that has palm oil in your kitchen to help keep Asian Elephants natural habitats from being destroyed)
Great time, great animals, great staff. Parking was horrible, drinks outrageous, and some things were under construction or temporarily closed, but we had a great time.
Today was the most enjoyable visit to the Denver Zoo we've ever had. The staff is doing an amazing job of keeping things clean and encouraging social distancing, which helps keep people moving along and allows everyone to enjoy the exhibits in peace.
Purchase your tickets online, follow the directional arrows, wear your mask, and fun!
The elephant show was amazing! So ready to go back!
The Denver Zoo has random peacocks roaming around all over the zoo so watch out for that and if they're in the parking lot you might want to tell someone don't try and steal one they have ankle monitors
Love taking the kids here, we always split our trip into halves, visit half, tell them the other half is closed
The best zoo I've been to. Lots to see. Lots of walking.
Amazing wonderful place, suitable for all the family. I and my kids love the Denver zoo.
Family loves this zoo. Sometimes hard to park, but it's worth it.
We went to the zoo during the week to kill some time before a late flight with our family. While it wasn t huge, on a weekday in February, there were no crowds and many friendly staff and volunteers. In fact, that was the most impressive thing. We easily had all of our questions about animals eagerly answered. We had a great time exploring. A couple exhibits were closed, but we didn t mind. Great family time.
It is a great zoo. We had a lot of fun and was a very enjoyable day. It was very hot and there wasn't much for shade and refreshments could be cheaper. Very interactive, looking forward to the giraffe feeding. Totally missed the bear and polar bear exhibit.
A place to enjoy hours of fun! The best zoo in Colorado by far! was well worth getting up at 6am and driving for nearly two hours. Few tips - go early so you won't need to deal with parking and lines, bring in your own lunch and ask about the membership if you leave close and have kids membership is the way to go.
We love the zoo! Our students always have fun when we go. Great place to take kids!
I ve lived in Denver since the moment of Birth. I ve visited the Zoo from Grade School to Present . Quite honestly I think the Zoo needs a Major Overhaul! It s dated and the animals need a healthier environment. I have had the Liberty of Capturing a Beautiful Photo of the Tiger several years ago and am hoping to Post it.
Love this place I've been a member of 20 years take the kids family take a walk be a member
Excellent zoo!!! Would definitely recommend this zoo
This was my first time here, and qe uad a great time. The animals were active and happy.
Really cool zoo with lots of animals. Definitely worth walking through the bird exhibit and feeding them! Our whole group had a great time!
Have been to Denver many, many times but never visited the Zoo. Why on earth did I wait so long??? The Denver Zoo is FABULOUS! Multi-generational trip with Grandma, Mommy's, teens and little ones, and everybody had the best time! Don't wait as long as I did to experience it!
The zoo was literally trashed! Many exhibits were shut down, Im greatly dissapointed. Dont forget to use your senior and military discounts!!!
Good place for a good walk and to see the animals. Better when you have a membership.
Always great, lots of noticeable improvements to the flowers and a new train!
Very nice zoo. It takes about 4 hours to visit every captivating animals. Awsome tropical animals, bird building and aquatic buildings. It's like walking into tropical forest in the middle of the March.
This was a great zoo, we re used to the Fort Worth Zoo in Texas and this did not disappoint! There s tons of animals and just when you think it s over, there s more!!!
Try to come on a day when it's somewhat cool outside and the animals are much more active
Great place for families. Too much to see in one visit. Staff and volunteers are friendly. And the annual pass is well worth the cost.
I love the zoo it is one of my very favorite places to go. The zoo has amazing staff that work there. The work that they do for conservation is amazing. I would highly recommend going, it is a great place to visit.
Such a great zoo! Staff was kind and plenty of them to answer questions and make suggestions for where other exhibits were. Plenty if options to eat. Great place to learn and spend a day!
Full disclosure, I am a zoo member. However in the last few years this is zoo is continually shrunk large animals are leaving, exhibits are closing and I understand did the animals welfare and well-being is Paramount. Denver Zoo to be perfectly honest as serious constraints on it as far as space and I really feel that this is now more or less a minor league Zoo as far as he was go. I would not be surprised in the future to see the association of zoos and aquariums remove them from the roster. All that being said I will still be a member of the zoo, but do not expect the Columbus Zoo, the Bronx Zoo, the San Diego Zoo, or even the Albuquerque Zoo.
Love this place. Clean and well maintained...I love it so much, I'm a member!!!
Visited Zoo lights... beautiful display and reasonably priced
Amazing displays of animals from all categories. Bring comfortable shoes because it's a long walk through the property.
It's okay but people there are very disrespectful and rude too spread out and very costly
I love visiting the animals, but the enclosures here feel too small for my liking.
I love the Denver zoo so much! It's reasonably priced, good amounts of shade throughout the park & plenty of restrooms. There is even one part where you can go right up and feed a giraffe, make sure to make a reservation for that though.
They got rid of the wolves which broke my heart. No otters, no big cats, no bears, and the one gorilla I saw looked upset. Don't waste your money here. Been a native and a zoo fan my whole life. But I feel like I got ripped off. If you want to see wildlife, watch the nature channel because your not gonna see it at our zoo.
Even though I love love this zoo..Just wish the food prices were a little lower ..beside that I will still bring my family here...it makes me remember my childhood!!!
My experience at the Denver zoo was awsome U get to watch shows that they make they are so funny and cool. You get to touch some of the animals after. If u have a favorite animal U get to see it and fall inlove with other animals and It teaches us not to kill innocent animals what did they do to u?Well hope u like the Denver Zoo!
