Large Zoo with a wide selection of animals. The landscape appears overgrown now, on the pathways and inside the animal exhibits. The major animals (Lions, Tigers, Orangutans, etc.) were nowhere to be found inside their respective exhibits.

A lot of the animals are sleeping inside. The line takes about 15 minutes if you don t have tickets. Parking is also very limited especially when there s a lot of people. One of the good things is that is doesn t smell. Overall I would not recommend.

Went with family and friends to see the zoo lights. Many parts of the zoo were empty or had very little lights. It felt as though they never fully set up the entire light show. We made it through the entire zoo in just about 30 minutes after paying $25 per person to get in. Seemed heavily overpriced for what we got.

The tropical center was excellent, with various snakes, turtles, lizards snd kimodo dragons. Many of the other outside exhibits were empty, and some of the animals seemed stressed (ex: rhino, polar bear). Even though it's winter (though 60 deg F today) that's disappointing.

Always a rad time!

Smaller than other zoos I've been to, but the habitats are well done, and there are great opportunities to view and learn about a wife variety of wildlife. The whole family especially loved the gorillas.

After a decade of not visiting, I was incredibly impressed by the quality of exhibits, the active and healthy animals, and the friendly staff. I love supporting conservation efforts and love that the zoo contributes to conservation through education, $$$, and ACTION. Thanks for the superb day!

Being a native of Colorado I have seen this zoo grow tremendously. I've been a member for years and frequently visit with my children. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. While some may disagree with zoos in general I believe they are most important to education and conservation. Yes, admission prices are high but it takes a lot to care for the animals and maintain the grounds. The Denver Zoo does so much behind the scenes that many do not know about for animal welfare I will continue to be a supporter for life.

I am a member of the zoo and go often. It's a great metropolitan zoo with lots of animals and space. I've been to zoos all over North America, and I think this is a top tier zoo. During the holidays they have zoo lights, which is an excellent family event. Go early and dress warmly and get some Smores for roasting on the fire.

The experience was acceptable. However prices were extreme and one thing that really stood out was the poor condition of the parking lot. Many areas needed repaving and provided hazards for baby buggies and the elderly. I hope that is amended before someone gets hurt.

I really wasn't impressed with the Zoo. There was about 4 or 5 animals out and the rest were sleeping/hiding. It was a major disappointment to spend over 100+ dollars here just to walk a paved path and see nothing but tree's inside the enclosures. I heard multiple people complaining about the the same thing. I would have argued for a refund if the line wasn't so long that's how disappointing it was. I wouldn't go back again.

It's been quite a few years since I visited the Denver Zoo. The visit was really a nice experience. Beside the zoological collection, walking the grounds is a nine experience. It feels like a nice park, not just a sterile, institutional collection of animals. Watching one of the elephants swim completely under water was a blast. Admission is a bit pricey, but parking is fee. Kids under three are free.

I was very disappointed with the Denver Zoo. At the time I went there was no information about an event that was going to happen later on that day. The Zoo was going to close at 2pm for a private event. That's not the problem. The problem was they were setting up these booths in front of the entrance of exhibits. Most of the people there thought it was closed to the public. Also, there isn't a lot of room for these animals as compared with other Zoos. Most of the animals were not out of their pens. I counted more people then animals. I should have visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Don't waste your money on the Denver Zoo. I'm from Denver and I thought they should have done a better job. Perhaps they should move over by the Denver International Airport. At least they would have more room.

Denver Zoo is a must when in Denver. Not huge, but just about right. Can get super crowded on free days, spring break and holidays, but in the off hours is a great, relaxing time. Volunteers are super-informed and helpful, too. Find out when the feeding times are and go with the volunteers to learn more about the animals and the zoo operations.

A cool experience. The tigers were active and something to behold. Lions were also in clear view. My only critique is the conditions seemed too cold for some of the animals. There was snow in a lot of the exhibits, and the animals are from warmer climates.

Best zoo in Colorado. Actually the best zoo I have ever been to with exception of the san Diego zoo and wild animal park. If you have ever been there than you know what I'm talking about. This zoo is in that class

They're doing it all wrong! The one way system implemented because of COVID is having the opposite effect. Instead of trying to keep people apart it funnels everyone in the same direction at the same time. It seems busier than ever and it's tough to keep away from crowds. I would stay away.
