Great place to bring friends and family. Amazing animals.
The zoo is nice, however, I went during winter and apparently several sectors were closed due that. I meant, several sectors were closed, I hope, due to the winter.
Great place to come with the family. A place to enjoy a couple of hours of fun. You can bring in your own lunch. The staff is courteous and helpful. I came with a school group and the little ones had a blast. They offer summer camps for school age children. They also offer year round events. The memberships are worth looking into, if you want to frequent the zoo.
Has always been one of my favorite places to go. They love their animals and try to provide them the best life they could.
Fantastic place to take my nephew. We totally party with the animals! I love it at the Denver Zoo, the staff is friendly and just thinking about it makes me want to dance! Enjoy your time at the Denver Zoo!!!
The lights were great and the help was wonderful. The manager in the gift shop wouldn't go to stock room to get a stuffed hippo though. Just said we're out even though the clerk said they stock every night.
So much to do, informative staff, prices as expected but a lot of in park choices for food, fair and fun.
Was good..IT was the perfect day to be there! service
You have to enjoy the zoo, all the different animals to see. All the attractions to enjoy. Denver zoo is in a rebuild state right now, but that can only mean more good things to come.
This zoo is amazing. The people there care about the animals and there well kept. They have great knowledge for there animals couldnt ask for better animal keepers. Great place to be able to see diffrent species of animals.
Really enjoyed my visit to this zoo and the Lego animals as well
Cool exhibits the elephants looked like they were dancing
Great family event! Busy today, but still so much room to not feel too crowded! Restrooms everywhere, just make sure tou bring lots of water and food snacks to sace money from buying vendor foods! They allow wagons, strollers ect in along with coolers! So it's really nice! We did the train ride, we didn't wait long at all maybe 10- 15 min in line and train ride is abouy 5 min. Long. Carousel was fun for the kids as well! Again line super quick and that's nice! A few slight upward walks so keep that in mind and remember to wear comfy shoes, bring umbrella to block sun!
Great place to take the kids, also for the zoo lights!
Pretty good layout, not the best zoo I've been to, but the elephant exhibit more than makes up for that. They had a cool demonstration for them and more than emphasized that the animals participate in those shows only if they want to. I would come back to the zoo if I visited Denver again.
The zoo has plenty of shade and beautifully cultivated foliage as you enjoy the animals. Bummer so many exhibits are closed at this time.
Animals are active. They are constantly changing the zoo up and it is a great time.
This was a very very amazing experience and fun time !! There's a lot to do for both adults and children a great family adventure I highly recommend you make plans to visit and celebrate a birthday or event at zoo!!
This place is great o only bad thing I can say is they close way to early
Love this place but word of advice, buy your tickets online. You can walk right up to the gate, show them the tickets either on your phone or printed and go right into the park. Otherwise enjoy the wait, it's the one cashier from Walmart....
I really and truly enjoyed the zoo. It would be nice because of my age and because I have diabetes, if there was a Rascal or some sort of scooter to ride. My feet wouldn't have been affected as badly as they were. By the time the end of the day rolled around I couldn't hardly even walk because the pain was so bad. Other than that I truly enjoyed the zoo very very much it's a wonderful place and I really enjoyed the day thank you.
We went straight there right off the plane and had our backpacks with us. We had planned to rent lockers but they didn't have any however they allowed us to store our bags in their office for the day, free of charge. The employees were kind and attentive to the guests, the animals seemed to be well cared for, the grounds we're very nice. An all around great time!
My girls loved it. We went close to Halloween so they loved all the shapes and kinds of pumpkins.
Great zoo coming from Chicago so much better everything was easy to access and parking was free bonus
Nice zoo, even after snow when some animals weren't on view.
Visited the Zoo for ZooLights, it was absolutely enchanting. The Denver Zoo is delightful during the day, but under the Christmas lights it is amazing.
The denver zoo has always been top notch. I really like how they do it s free on birthdays.
Has some fun side attractions as well. Be sure to visit Kyle who draws caricatures when there. He's super talented and fast. His art makes me feel even more excited about myself when I look at it daily. Seeing the finished work of what he drew for me was very uplifting. I am still smiling.
Extremely expensive. I paid 60$ for 2 kids under 6 and myself. Then wanted more money to look at stingrays. Really? They tried to say we all needed to wear a mask throughout the zoo in a 80 degree day, while outdoors. Most of the animals were asleep or not visible. Drive to cheyenne mountain zoo in Colorado springs were they don't nickle and dime you at every turn. I won't go back.
Great spot for the family. And REALLY great on free days!
Sooooo much better to go here during covid. No on there. So peaceful.
Always getting yelled at by staff in the park to put my mask over my nose even though I have asthma. I guess they want me to die.
The Cheyenne Zoo is way better. This one eneeds some major updates.
The zoo has done a beautiful job updating their exhibits. My favorite is the monkeys outdoor.
Decent. Felt like the large animal enclosures were a but small.
Love this place. Such a clean zoo woth happy animals and friendly staff.
The zoo is doing a great job with COVID accommodations. Always fantastic to visit!
Good food. Need bigger menu. Salmon Salad and Chicken and biscuits are great.
I have only been to a couple Zoos and I really enjoy the Denver zoo. Partly because it reminds me of my childhood but also because it's a good size with a decent number of attractions and variety of animals. I went back stage with a friend of a friend and got to see how they care for the animals and it seems that they eat well and are treated well (aside from the obvious bummer of being in captivity). Good learning experience too and I learn something new every time I go
Lengthy lines and very large crowds. Takes a long time to see anything.
Easy to find and park. Don't buy anything here tho it's worse than Disney world. Where did all the Animals go? Did I go when they were all on vacation?
Love the Denver zoo. They have walking with the dinosaurs
Really enjoyed Halloween lights, just wishtix sales opened earlier than 6 p.m
The same time they started letting general public into the zoo. Looking forward to Christmas lights at the zoo.
It was a lot of fun and the exhibits were great. Didn't get to see the whole zoo (was here on a field trip) but the program for the field trip was great and had our students involved and engaged in what they were seeing at the zoo. The staff were friendly and worked well with the kids. Definitely want to come back and walk through the zoo on my own time though haha
There were quite a few animals they did not have out in an exhibit
Staff is pleasant and kids have fun. Wish they could make dining options better
My experience here was depressing. I was skeptical about going to the zoo because of their horrible treatment of animals, and after my visit to the Denver Zoo I am sure that I will never go to one again. Their treatment of the animals was despicable. They use fear training in the shows although throughout them they try to reassure you that the animals are doing everything by their own will. The enclosures (some basically cages) were of inadequate size. NEVER again.
There's no better place to be on a sunny day in Denver. Very walkable and kid friendly. There's also a ton of food options if you have dietary restrictions such as gluten.
Closed at 5.. But we only got in for $4 because we had our food stamp card it was a dollar each.
It is a bit pricey but it is a beautiful zoo and has a lot to offer very very neat location has seems to be very popular amongst people parking seems to be a bit of a pain in the butt
Nice zoo next to the aquarium this was a nice stop on our vacation. Kids loved it.
For the cost of the zoo I expected more. For myself and my three yr old grandson to get in cost $34.00. How can a family afford to get in? Don't plan on visiting again anytime soon.
Amazing experience, tons of different animals and knowledgeable staff at different locations that go over behavioral traits of highlighted attractions.
It's always great for a day out but the new bear exhibit was a major let down.
My family and I had an amazing time! The exhibits have improved so much since I was there as a child. And now there are water stations like I have never seen before so you can stay hydrated!! I definitely want to return some time soon!
A lot of walking, beautiful plants and interesting.animals.
Easy parking. Tons of peacocks walking around. Clean. Not many African mammals. Nice Mary-go-round.
Nice zoo, animals looked happy and well taken care of. A little dirty.
Nice zoo. Some things are alittle outdated. But definitely provides the different animals and is updating and keeping animals happy.
Had to make an appointment to go and of course follow the set path around the zoo. Super sad that the buildings were closed, so we couldn't go and see the reptiles but still a fun time with my nephews.
The zoo is great, family friendly, lots of exhibits, decently priced admission. The only problems I was having was quite a few empty exhibits and the price of food and drinks.
They have a very nice set up here. Lots of fun. Great way to spend the day. Parking is not great
I love the animals,,,some animals were inside and not out. Enjoyed the day with my Granddaughter .
Who doesn't love the zoo? Minus the over priced ... everything! Lol it's always good memories !
Lots to see, can spend a whole day and then some wandering around.
