I absolutely love the zoo. Busy or empty its always a good time whenever we go!
I absolutely love the zoo. Busy or empty its always a good time whenever we go!
Disappointing not many animals out for a70 degree day
Zoo was nice and everyone enjoyed it however finding parking was a zoo adventure in itself. It would have been nice to know in advance that the parking garage was full before wasting time circling endlessly in there.
It's a good zoo (and has a decent aquarium as well) and has a large variety of mammals, birds, and fish. However, many enclosures are too small for the sentient animals within them, so if you do care about animal wellbeing, that could take away from your experience. The food is extremely overpriced and not worth buying at all.
Growing up outside Philly we had one of the best zoos in the country. The Denver zoo is very comparable. They have lots of animals that appear to be well cared for. The different habitats are very interesting and engaging for all ages. Their Zoo camps for the kids are very popular too. Throughout the year they have special events going on as well.
Good place for family fun, but you never know what will be available for showing
Great zoo large selection of animals. Very clean, and well kept. Friendly and helpful staff all among the way. And it wasnt too big, you can see the whole thing in a few hours.
Animals seemed rather happy. Plenty of places to eat. Rather large. There should be more workers to stop random parents trying to get their kids to pick up goslings and peafowl.
Fun experience to see the difference in all animals
A lot of new work going on, not too impressed with the new tiger habitat. Over all the zoo is evolving to bigger and better things
We love the zoo!! The membership is so worth it and we live in Highlands Ranch.
Awesome experiance, everything is 1 way right now so it keeps the flow going and people separated. Any staff we saw and had questions about animals they were able to help. Being a member is a big bonus if you would go a lot. Im in town visiting family who are members and free entry +discounts was excellent.
Perfect location in city park. Parking can be an issue but I love there themed lights.
Visited here around Christmas and enjoyed the lights and sights
Always a family favorite .. and my daughter works here !!!
It gets better every visit. Get the family membership absolutely worth it if you're local.
Fun time! A bit of construction, sometimes no animals in their zone, many animals are good at finding the hiding spots so often a challenge to find them.
Plenty to see and space to spread out. Loved the apes in particular. There is also a great collection of vultures and condors. Can't wait to see the smaller big cats get a new home though.
Great day trip but you must have exceptional willpower to resist buying a lot of over priced food, souvenirs, and drinks.
This place is really awesome. Thus is the one of the best zoo I have ever visited. This place have good environment.
This is more popular for kids. This zoo have many animals. They have around 4000 animals. This is more popular for travellers. The ticket price is not that high. It is around $15 for adults.
You should visit this place. I promise you will not regret. You will enjoy looking at the animals. This zoo have friendly animals.
It was cold and alot was closed but it's awesome in the summer
Lively animals and exhibits! Possibly my favorite zoo!
My family loves the Denver Zoo. We have a membership and go all of the time. Go early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds.
It was great and I'll definitely consider coming back
Nice place to take kids and family to. Lots of different kinds of animals for kids to see and then want to learn more about. Some of it is older, and some of it is a lot newer, but both are fun to see the animals that are there.
We had so much fun taking our son on his first real zoo trip. They've updated quite a bit in the past couple years and it looks amazing!!
was fantastic but if you need handicapped parking you need to get there as soon as the open
Easy parking, large nice zoo. Despite it being fall, we saw lots of animals out. Those that were not were mostly marked. It's obviously too cold for some to be out. Beautifully done and very relaxing to visit during the week.
Loved the exhibits. The map was a little off in trying to follow around the zoo.
Although most of the animals were a no show the atmosphere was engaging, the staff was kind and informative, and adult beverages were accessible to those of appropriate age of course, along the trail.
Totally worth being exhausted afterwards! Really enjoyed all the exhibits, the Giraffes were my favorite. I appreciate that they have wagon and scooter rentals, as well as lots of restrooms and benches to sit on throughout the zoo. I think the signage on each animal was a little lacking though!
After moving to Denver, the zoo was definitely on my list of places to visit. I've been to a few different zoos around the world and, while they generally have the same animals, it's all about the presentation. The Denver Zoo definitely has great presentation. The layout is great, making it hard to miss anything. The enclosures are large, but not so large that the animals can't be seen when in the far corner. The line to get in at opening can be long, but it moves quickly. Also, the ticket price was reasonable for the experience.
Very nice zoo, but the exhibits need a bit more maintenance. The polar bear exhibit felt sad, since there bear was walking the same few feets for the whole day, and he seemed quite skinny. The exhibits with water seem quite dirty, and need to be revisited. Also, the whole part with bears (excluding the polar bear) wasn't open when we where there.
Great zoo. Many parts were closed for renovations or additions, so double check if you are going for something specific.
It's great to be a member since there is so much to see with the kids and it is offered at a great price. Of course it tends to be quite busy during the weekends though
Always a good time but this time there were way too many bees
Always has been great! It's only gotten better! One of the best in the country!
Nice zoo. Make sure to check out some of the presentation; like the Elephant show.
We always go during the holiday lights event. They have over 2 millions lights set up during this. Some nights is rowed but its beautiful.
A Beautiful Zoo with a wide array of animals & beautiful grounds. Loved the geese and their families walking about all thru The Park. The entrance fee is reasonable & if you look online you can get coupons for addition money off. It will take approx 4 hours to get thru the whole park. There are food stands that are reasonable & quite good in lunch or dinner. Ice cold beer for sale with ID. Highly recommend if in the Denver area.
The zoo is great for people of all ages, groups, individuals. My last visit was with a school group. The zoo staff made everything including entry quick and painless. Lots to see, do and enjoy. If you can catch the shows they are both entertaining and informative.
I had a great time w my kids. They went to many zoo but they were amaze today.
Zoo lights was great! Loved that you were able to visit some exhibits! Well worth the $$
Excellent Zoo with spacious and well thought out exhibits. Go early and enjoy the day with lots to see and experience.
Love spending time with my kids here. They enjoy seeing the animals.
My daughter loves this place. I think that they need more animals.
Always nice to see the animals that I would never get to in the wild ever in my life time, went with some friends of mine
pretty sweet place! super clean! very nice zoo grandkids loved it
Good zoo. Me and my family love to visit it almost every year. Sadly, the animals look a bit depressed. I love all of the variety and the great architectural choices. It makes me look at my cats like wild lions, which has not happened in any zoo.
Also, it's pretty cheap in general and a lot of things you can afford. You do not pay for anything extra and VIP (or status) does not exist. Everyone is equal here and I love that.
The food is great for a hot searing summer day, especially the soft serve ice cream and the dip'n dots.
Nice exhibits of a variety of animals. It s some what sad to see them caged but some are injured and wound not survive in the wild on there own. Some are endangered and safer in their artificial world. Overall great place for kids and adults to learn.
Excellent zoo, well maintained, friendly staff and pokestops galore!
I liked the updated tiger exhibit. I also liked the expanse of animals that were there.
Friendly & knowledgeable staff. Was a bit surprised at the old fashioned animal enclosures in some areas, but construction is underway, so perhaps that will be rectified soon.
Fantastic zoo! They did a phenomenal job keeping social distance enforced during the pandemic. We were able to see every exhibit while staying safe.
4D experience was just the perfect ending to our hot afternoon
From out of town. Great experience with my son. Quite a hike.
Great zoo. The season pass is well worth it. They do a lot of fun events that are worth going to as well.
Great place to take the family! If you live in the area get a pass and go at opening them leave at lunch when the crowds show up!
Went early to avoid the heat but very few animals were out and everyone epse uad the same idea.
Attempted to go take our daughter to the zoo for the first time today and she was so excited, so we drove 2.5 hours to get here early. We drove for over an hour in traffic to find out all of the roads into the zoo were closed and blocked off, the colfax marathon was going on. We drove around for another hour to find a spot to walk from within 3 miles and there was literally nothing. We are incredibly devastated and decided to go home.
Very cool place to see lots of zoo animals. Would cone back again.
Best zoo ever. Got a lot of great gifts for my 30th bday
Always fun, get an annual pass for the most bang for your buck.
Always a good time at City Park and the Zoo! It has been more and more crowded as Denver grows, but still a favorite. Zoo is clean and taken care of. Finally started serving beer a few years ago. Brilliant.
Packed at the Denver zoo of lights so make sure to show up very early to at least get a decent parking spot.
The zookeepers & staff that so clearly love these beautiful animals are awesome & a blessing.
Abby at the gift shop was super helpful. She went above and beyond. I look forward to our next visit to the Denver Zoo.
Went on world rhino day, was neat to learn about the white rhino. They could definitely do better and I only seen 2 penguins.
Excellent displays and fun viewing the giraffes, elephants, etc.
Denver zoo lights, around the holidays, is always a fun time! Whether it's with your kids, date night or just a girls night out it's always fun to walk around and see the lights and any animals that are out.
