Enjoyed it very much some displays Werner construction some of the animals while retired because of the heat in resting or sleeping but still a nice place to take the family and children.

I always like going to the Zoo. Me and my friend went there and saw the new elephant exhibit. The exhibit was great. We had lots of fun. I hate that some of the animals weren't around, like the wild cats. The gift shop always has great deals.

This is a really nice and compact zoo with decent food and drink options, and a great diversity of animals. I bought an annual zoo membership for my daughter and me, and we've visited 6x so far and plan to go at least another 10x before our membership needs renewal. I grew up in St. Louis though, which has a better, bigger, and free zoo, so it's hard to compare. I'd also recommend grabbing a map or taking a picture of the map when you first enter, since it's compact by using lots of little maze-like turns and sections

I had a fantastic time at this zoo! I went with two friends and we got there about 11, we're there until almost closing, and we could of spent more time there. There is a lot to see and learn about with at this zoo. If I lived in Denver I would of got the yearly membership to visit a lot because my innerchild loved it here. I will be back for sure the next time I'm in town

The Denver zoo is quite nice. They gave plenty to see. The animals are in great habitats. There are plenty of places to sit. The parking situation isn't the best. But it's still a nice place.

Fantastic place for all ages! Brand new exhibits on the east, west side of zoo is becoming outdated. The exhibits that are no longer in use are an eye sore, but the atmosphere of the newer ones makes up for it. Highly suggest going if you have never been there. Also there have a red tailed panda!!!

More than half of the exhibit' s only had one animal. The train was broken, and their is no other way to get around without the train. Needs more information on the animals, how to get there and how to exist.

I love this zoo. I love that the animals are rotated through different areas to keep things new for us and them. The volunteers are always well informed and excited to share their knowledge with guests. They often have a pelt or some other visual aid to help teach about the animal they are near.

Getting into the zoo is great. There is never any hassle about what comes into the gates. Having littles means we're bringing in food and drinks for them. Whatever you don't bring though can be found inside anyway.

Member discounts add up fast and coming just a few times pays for the membership, so it's a no-brainer.

Great place but the place was soo crowded. But I'm also not used to being in a real city. I'm from Missouri and been to stl zoo a bunch, But wow the monkey area was soooo cool at this zoo. It does cost but not too much. Cheaper than the springs zoo but stl was free. So it's all in perspective. But I'll deff be coming back.

The zoo is a fun place to come. It was pretty busy. I'd advise showing up when they open and prepay for tickets online. 1. You avoid the lines and find decent parking. (Which there are quite a few parking spots, even a parking garage with 4 levels.) 2. You can check out most of the shows and educational programs they have running throughout the day. Food and drinks are fairly pricey but that goes with any attractions. Pictures are of people feeding Llamas! One of the many shows they have running.

(Compared this zoo with the Omaha zoo)
Lots of displays empty.

Poor animals (elephants, giraffe, etc) living in an environment of dirt with little shade.
(Just returned from an African safari... most animals live in a green environment with grass and trees to eat... and shade to rest in.)

My husband and I were disappointed. But our 15 month old grandson loved it!

I highly suggest getting a zoo membership if you plan on going more than once in the year. You get discounts for at the restaurants, gift shops, and for special events. My family always has a wonderful time when we go.

Went for the christmas lights. Go for the lights only if you have a small kid or a family member who is really in the holiday spirit. It's a nice family outing and that is very apparent from the crowd.

Loved everything about it except online it says they are doing appointment/reservations only and people were only let in every 15 min. We get there and there were mobs of people crowding the ticket areas buying tickets on the spot. So it was a good time it was just way too crowded for these times..

The zoo! Wonderful mix of animals (big and small, vertebrates of all kind and invertebrates too, from places all over the world), the habitats get better every year, the animal shows are educational and fun, enrichment is used frequently, and the zoo is obviously taking part in conservation efforts. I am a sucker for the walk in aviary, and all the snakes and fish in the Amazon house. I seriously love the elephant shrews, lorikeets, mud skippers, bats, condors, and frogmouth birds.

Don't forget your RTD discount at admission of you take the very convenient bus to the zoo.

We love the Denver zoo! There is a good spread of inside and outside exhibits, so even on days that are cooler you can still see some animals. Excited to see the new tiger exhibit soon!

The Denver Zoo has changed so much. I have children from 23 down to 4 years of age. From the time I used to take my older children to now,it's like a whole new zoo. A complete different zoo. I didn't even see the whole zoo this time but there are very few things that remain the same.
There is also a peacock that fights his own reflection named Narcissus. He can't find a mate because he is too busy looking at his own reflection. We thought he was pretty funny.
The giraffe exhibit is pretty much the same and the women who work in there are very knowledgeable.

Boo at the zoo at night is so much more spectacular than boo at the zoo during the day. I know you pay for it at all but it is way more fun for the kids and exhilarating with all the pumpkin's an other carvings and spectacular stuff that the staff at the Denver zoo do.

We love visiting Denver Zoo, the key is arriving early and leaving before it gets too busy. As members, it's great to go for an hour or three and not feel like we have to spend all day there.

Most of the exhibits were empty. The ones that weren't, the animals looked pretty rough. Some animals had visible injuries. I understand that for some species, zoos are necessary for conservation. I was simply not impressed with this particular one.
