Beautiful, open, nice people, lots of activities and events, and lots of parking options. The zoo is well maintained and all of the animals look healthy and happy.

The animals were inside the buildings a lot... And the buildings were strangely closed. It was a hard day for seeing animals. We were there for 2 hours and didn't see many at all. A disappointment. We will try again another day.

Kids had a great time. We went in the afternoon and got to see the elephant in the water and the hyenas eating. The elephant enclosure was amazing. Sorry! Did i mention this place is much bigger than the zoo in Colorado Springs and less expensive. Worth the cost of gas....and not so much uphill all the way. Please dont get me wrong i love the Cheyenne mtn zoo too! Just so much uphill which is hard on the kiddos....yes and me. Can't wait to go back when the bear enclosure is open! We had a lot of fun and the kids couldn't stop talking about the elephants.

The zoo is always fun to go to. My kids enjoy it a lot. My only complaint was the lady who was running the carousel on March 19th was very rude and had a huge attitude. She definitely shouldn't be around kids or families.

Lowest rated zoo I have been to. I have been to the following other zoos, Philadelphia, Washington DC and Bangkok, Thailand.

Wish more animals would have been out. Other than that we had a great time

Zoo lights is absolutely amazing.... beautiful decorations and fun things for kids... disappointed that Santa was not here.. biggest disappointment the the zoo has done

The Denver Zoo feels alive. During our visits we ve noticed a lot of activity from their animals. Recommend arriving early to catch all the shows; they re definitely worth it. Looking forward to becoming members after we move

Very small. I would put money that the animals would have more space on the golf course across the street. Good for a nice day walk, and inexpensive, but it almost made me uncomfortable to see how small the enclosures were.

Great place to visit any time of the year! Animals are well kept in large secluded areas. Good observation.Children find many small play areas as well throughout the Zoo, like climbable sculptures, small playgrounds etc.. Mini train and vintage carousel are the most popular spots for all ages.

Kids will definitely love this. First time I saw polar bear here. Need enough time to go around and see all exhibits.

This place is great. Clean, orderly, and tons of animals, all of which are available for view. I've been to a lot of zoos where many animals you never see.

With the covid-19 outbreak, they have modified the park to create a route that allows you to enjoy all the fun of the park without concern of contacting any Illness. The added benefit is that you don't have to figure out where to go next. I actually preferred the new method as it let me just walk them through without worrying about where I was going to go next.

$20.00 admission, pretty pricey. Senior discount only three dollars of? Should be half price. Guess our days at the zoo are over. I would say we're not the only ones priced out of the zoo experience.

The Denver zoo is amazing. They have all sorts of animals and some really cool habitats for them, and they seem to make something new every year. I always see something different each time I go here.

Previously, my favorite zoo was the national zoo in Washington DC, which is a pretty fabulous place. However, it just doesn't compete with the Denver one. The exhibits are so great, I didn't have trouble seeing any of the animals. I also went back twice to see baby Tatu!

Loved it! Spaced for nice leisurely walking. The big attractions are not close together so I didn t feel crowded

The kids and I had a blast! Encounters seem a little pricey so we did not experience any of those.

Perfect day for the zoo. Zoo is well laid out and does not disappoint. Animals were out and about. Great day all around

I LOVE OUR ZOO!!! Today we had breakfast with the bachelors and we love the elephants!!!! We go every chance we get!!

The staff were able to keep the large campus clean, and we managed to hit a day that wasn't terribly busy. It made for a very enjoyable time. Well worth the entrance fee.

All tickets were sold out for the night. So I will have to schedule it for next time

Totally love the Zoo Lights! Each year the zoo does a better job! Well worth checking out.

Very nice, lots of baby animals. Sometimes, it was hard to see the animals because of the trees and bushes in the enclosures.

Had lots of fun. Enjoyed the feline exhibit as well as the primates. Can't wait to come and visit again.

Nice zoo with plenty of exhibits and nicely laid out. Only difficulty was parking due to it being the first really nice day in a while. Lots of different foods to eat as well.

Clean zoo, and growing all the time trying to improve the lives of their animals. Also. Tapirs are cute.

This isn t the worst zoo but it definitely needs some work. I m not a fan of zoos but I like to use them as educational tools to teach children how animals don t belong in zoos. Denver zoo has some seriously small and not well taken care of exhibits. A lot of the zoo is just outdated and doesn t seem cared for. On the bright side, the staff really seems to care about the animals and are very friendly. Though the zoo needs some improvements I feel like it is an okay zoo. The food is good and they serve yummy beer! It s not too expensive either. Go, know what you re getting into, and enjoy!

The Denver Zoo is a fun and great choice!

It's also is closely located to the Science Museum and City Park which is a major plus.

They often have great exhibits or events. For your adult buddies, the beer selection is spectacular!

Hardly any animals out, parking was TERRIBLE. Crazy cause I remember going as a kid and it was JUST as terrible.

We loves Zoo Lights! We go every year. While the parking isnt very good the experience is well worth it.

There was some construction going on when we visited... The staff was very pleasant.... We received half price because of the construction... But... We had trouble finding our way around... And we didn't see many animals.... Idk... I love going to the zoo... But; this didn't live up to the hype

We just had a behind the scenes tour of Predator Ridge and enjoyed Enchanted Hallows. What a magical evening!

The zoo was great. The paths were mark so folks could maintain our distance. The employees were scattered throughout the zoo and gave us some animal, zoo and Denver history facts. It was very well organized. The restaurants were very well organized too. We had a very enjoyable time with our family.

Always interesting, enjoy the "animals", people or not. ha

We've been coming to this zoo for years and have no complaints! I absolutely love zoos and I feel like the Denver Zoo does a fantastic job caring for their animals and ensuring they're happy and comfortable. We go at least 3 times a year and enjoy it every time!

We had a great visit to Denver Zoo! It was very clean and beautiful from the habits to the flowers. If I lived in the area I would absolutely have a membership.

We randomly decided to go to Denver Zoo to check out some animals, and I'm so glad we did! I've been to a few zoos, but this was on a differently level. The animals all seemed active and healthy, the staff was young but friendly, and the food selection was pretty good for a Monday! The zoo overall was very clean and well decorated with florals that made you feel like you were in a natural habitat. Definitely worth checking out!

Maybe because it was Boo at the Zoo but and chilly but didn't have the greatest of times. The staff however were all very nice and great with the kids.

Large zoo, a whole day of activity! Worth the price!

If you have been to the san diego zoo, the national zoo in dc or the bronx zoo, this zoo is not so great in comparison. The area for the animals seems small, the few animals we did see looked like they were sort of depressed. I felt bad for them. I left feeling sad.

So many great improvements! The elephants and apes are much improved from when I remember going. Wonderful to just take a stroll and caught a lot of animals talks and feedings. Love the zoo!

This zoo is so great and we love all the special events (Boo at the Zoo, Zoo Lights, etc.) Excellent way to spend a day (assuming the weather is nice!)

The Zoo was wonderful; but still think Cheyenne Mountain Zoo was better. More interaction with the animals.

Love all their newer exhibits! Easily walkable. Fun for the whole family. The elephant exhibit is amazing!

Great feature of living in Denver! This zoo is in the process of upgrading numerous exhibits and has a surprisingly good variety of species. Best Deal = Join as a member and stroll through on short breaks whenever you have a spare hour.

One of the best places to take your kids, bar none! This zoo is very easy to navigate through. The animals appear well taken care of and the staff is beyond friendly. Best go in Fall or Spring to avoid the heat; the best time if you're looking at spending the day there. All in all, a fun landmark of Denver, CO!

Went to zoo lights. The 4D theater option is worth the experience. Enjoyed the carousel and the train. The display this year was by far the best yet.

It's our local zoo...well tended and welcoming. Gone are the days of animal prisons. Bring your camera and your family.

Love this zoo so much we got a family pass. We have gone several times & our pass has paid for itself. Worth every penny.

The zoo is so nice. Free parking helped. The people working were magnificent. Everyone practiced wearing masks and as much as able social distancing.

Animals! Very neat to see. They were doing construction so we didn't get to see all of them but it was still extraordinary.
