Wonderful park in the hinterland of Alska highly recommended for lovers of trekking and hiking. The park is accessible by private vehicles up to the fifteenth mile, after which you have to take public buses. If you do not have much experience with trekking, I advise you not to venture too far in the park in places where there are no paths. The paths those prepared by the nps are fantastic passing through nature allowing you to observe anything in safety, also presenting difficulties but remain very pleasant to walk in the company. The visitor center has a small museum with the history of the park, there are always rangers ready to give advice. To go into the park you have to go to the wilderness center where you can book the bus that takes you into the park, on the trip you can observe various animals, such as bears, for photography lovers I recommend a telephoto lens. In short, if you happen to be in Alaska, go to denali while if you plan a trip to Alaska, treat yourself to this pleasure of visiting the denali park, and to do it in complete safety, follow as much as the rangers who are never wrong.

Go! Just go! Don't waste your time thinking if you should or not just do it. You will not be sorry guaranteed. So much to see and so beautiful. If this is not on your bucket list then it needs to be. I spent 3 days in Denali and could go back for a week. I stayed at McKinley resort which was an excellent choice also. There are several resorts in the area. Princess was just a block down the road. They looked comparable but no complaints with McKinley. Did not get to see Denali itself as they say only one third of all people are fortunate enough because of the cloud cover. I would go back again just for that alone, let alone the wildlife and scenery! Don't hesitate. Go!

This is the most amazing spot! Magnificent mountain views of Denali are astounding.
Took the bus tour to Eilyson and were able to see moose, grizzly bears, caribou and of course bald eagles. The guide was informative and helpful. It is a long day but well worth it!

It's a national park--you know it's going to be great. We made it a day trip from Anchorage, so it was a longer day but worth it. The park only has 1 road, and you can only drive your personal vehicle the first 15 miles. There are park buses that are free that go that first stretch, and then you can pay for a bus tour to see the entire 96ish mile stretch of road. We drove to mile 15 and did the Savage Alpine trail that two different rangers highly recommended. It was pretty nice!

This place will leave you beyond words! We were a group of friends visiting and we first approached the staff who handed us the map consisting of trail pathways ranked by difficulty and elevation. We did the 'Healy Mountain Overlook" trail and the view after you reach the top is soo gorgeous and worth the effort!! Just keep hydrating yourself along the way.

My family of 6 took the Tundra/Wilderness bus tour on July 9th, 2020. What an amazing day!! Even though Denali was hiding in the clouds, we saw Grizzlies, moose, caribou, artic squirrels, and even watched a beautiful pair of golden eagles! Our bus driver was so knowledgeable and fun!! I would highly reccomend this trip!!

Jeff Brown, the host at Wonder Lake, went above and beyond! He answered questions, gave advice, and even provided duct tape to repair broken boots--and always with a smile. We could not have asked for better. Doris, the ranger, was very friendly, genuine, and helpful. Makes for a memorable experience even in less-than ideal weather.

Denali National Park is amazing. Huge and beautiful. We were able to visit on a clear day and saw Mt. Denali from a great distance. If you can you should go in early in the day and go all the way to Wonder Lake. If you want to hike you can get off anywhere but make sure you have bear spray! On our bus ride we saw 10 moose, 9 bears, 11 caribou, tons of ground squirrels, mountain sheep from a distance, and a porcupine. We wish we had more time to spend there!

Excellent National Park.. incredible views of scenery and wildlife. Helpful staff, great bus rides, interesting visitor center, loads of walking/hiking paths, nice restaurant and clean bathrooms.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! OK no lions or tigers, but lots of bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, ptarmigan, Lynx... and rangers with sled dogs, too. Ride the bus for the scenery, and for the free and the brave, get off the bus anywhere you want for real backcountry adventure. I've been to this park more times than any other and will go back any time I'm able.

We visited the park in late spring, many restrictions and could not drive up to the mountain. We are not interested in riding a tour bus for six hours to see the park in the mountain and so after driving 8000 miles to get here we were very disappointed in the limited part of the park we could use. Weather was still cool and so there were no flowers and only a few animals but we had already seen many animals on our trip across the United States British Columbia Yukon and the rural routes of Alaska. We parked our RV just one night and in the early a.m. conflicted with the facilities cleaning crew who closed the bathrooms for an hour and would not give access. And so because we were leaving we were unable and they would not let us use the facilities.

This is one of the best national parks in the country. We saw everything from brown bears (grizzlies) to the elusive Denali sheep. By the end of the trip you will be so sick of seeing Moose you won't even slow down to look at them anymore.

It's an amazing place to hike or just drive around if you have issues with hiking. If you are visiting the US or you live here and you like the outdoors this should easily be on your top 6 list (Yellowstone, Yosemite, Arches, Glacier, Grand Canyon, and Denali). If you have trouble moving around I would rank this as one of the easier ones to get around solely by car. A definite must visit if you are in the states.

Don't bother getting there by the train, rent a car as you will want to stop by the side of the road to see the wildlife.

We barely got to see the peaks of Denali over the clouds that covered it for most of the day and I still give this place 5 stars. It's just so grand, so mind-blowingly huge and awesome, words and pictures do not do it justice. I recommend the full-day, full-length 93-mile bus tour out to Kantishna Roadhouse. It's the best way to experience the park short of backpacking deep into the wilds. The buses make numerous stops, about every hour and you will see lots of wildlife along the way some of it at a fair distance, so bring high-powered binoculars or a camera with telephoto lens (400x or higher). We saw brown bear (with cubs), grizzlies, mountain sheep, moose, caribou, ptarmigan, bald eagles, brown eagles, arctic fox, hoary marmot, snowshoe hare, among other native species. Definitely a bucket-list adventure, made all the better by the Gold Dome train ride from Anchorage on the Alaska Railroad.

Took my entire family there to find out that you can only visit it through rather old commercial buses, where they have you sitting in there for hours on end (4, 6, or 12 hours!) with very few stops. We decided not to do that as it defeated the whole purpose of being outdoors and having the freedom to stop and photograph wherever you want along the way. I'm sure the park is beautiful, and my two star rating is not a reflection of the park's natural beauty but rather its very disappointing management. They try to BS you by saying it's to protect the park but there's obviously money going on behind the scenes, I can't think of any other National park I have visited where access is so restricted.

Took bus trip through the park and Cheryl our driver was great. Saw many animals throughout the tour. Next day we drove through the park ourselves and saw many animals really up close, moose, porcupine, cairabo and snowshoe bunnies. Definitely recommend coming to experience this great park.
