Bucket list item! We spend the most wonderful 4 days just scratching the surface of Denali NP. There was so many species of flowers, trees and animals everywhere! We enjoyed the sled dog demo and hiking the horseshoe trail. We saw several elk, moose but no bears. (Maybe that was a good thing) We could have easily stayed a couple of weeks. Make sure to use their shuttle service to take you around the park. It was nice just to sit back and take in the scenery.

Visited in January. So quiet and peaceful. The rangers at the winter visitor center were very friendly and knowledgeable. I did the Mount Healy hike and it was worth it! I Clouds hid Mount Denali but the view was still amazing.

Definitely do the tundra tour, we saw mama bear with cub, carribou, dahl sheep and moose. My favorite spot was polychrome mountains. Make adv reservation like 2-3 weeks ahead as the tundra tour does sell out

This is the most amazing park of any sort I have ever visited and stands out as one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The bus system not only makes the park more enjoyable (I can't imagine driving those roads and certainly would not have seen as much wildlife) it keeps the park wild and limits the craziness. As opposed to parks like Yellowstone where it's hard to maintain your sanity because of the traffic and commercialism, this park allows you to really be in touch with nature and encourages you to explore. The level of professionalism of the staff is exceptional and the support they provide is amazing. I believe that the way the park is managed allows the rangers to be less of an enforcement presence and much more of a resource to visitors, helping you to set an agenda that meets your expectations and abilities. If you've never been to Denali, pack your stuff and go. You won't regret it.

Denali is a vast wilderness with opportunities to see wildlife: Moose, Caribou, Grizzly bears, Ptarmigan (bird). Transportation is limited to buses with limited stops, bicycles and walking. The scenery is the vast stretches of wilderness and the Mountain peak on clear days. The park has a nice visitor's center. Visiting Denali felt like spectating on a protected wilderness, we we're allowed out of the bus at only one place and encouraged to stay quiet when seeing animals no matter how far away.

This park put me through the most physically demanding hike I've ever tried, and it was breathtakingly awesome throughout. Try backpacking through bush and making camp between rock formations. I am so glad I got to see this place

I took the tour bus through here but unfortunately could not even see Denali because clouds. However, there was various local wildlife along that way such as bears and foxes that made the drive more interesting. It's worth going once but I wouldn't bother going again,

13 Grizzly spotted in 14 days. We camped and moved often in the back country. Bears are a real issue you need to deal with. Check in with park rangers for the latest info.

The park is amazing. Pictures take themselves. Bugs can be intense so be ready.

Other then bears we saw a fox, sheep, caribou. Plenty of wild life.

Everyone needs to visit here at least once. I highly recommend taking the park bus into the interior of the park (go at least as far as Eielson Visitors Center). On a day that isn't so cloudy you can see the peak of Mt. Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley) from there. There are so many amazing sights to be seen at Denali!

one of the best NP in the country. I took the kantishna bus all the way to the end of the road. it was like 60 bucks. the 12 hour bus ride was very enjoyable. bring your own food and drinks and a neck pillow. I cant wait to do it again.

Don't be misled by the name. You don't get a good view of Denali peaks from the park. It's best viewed at the South viewpoint, about 1.5 hour south of the park entrance. We did see a lot of wild lives. The shuttle bus drivers are great. We toke the 6.5h shuttle, which I heard does not differ from too much from the 8h shuttle.

This was the first national park I had the chance to visit. We took one of the bus tours (8hr round trip option) and had a blast even though it was raining. Didn't think we'd have a chance to see any wildlife, but got lucky and saw quite a few critters.

MAKE SURE TO PACK A LUNCH! These tours last a while, and the visitor center has some food options; but you are better off bringing your own. Also, I do not recommend taking the tours if you're not a fan of bus rides or bumpy roads. You're here to visit the wildlife and nature that live here, not the other way around.

Our guide (Kim/Mik) was awesome, and I'd love to come back one day just to ride with her again. Overall, a great experience that I doubt I'll find many other places.

The area is austere but primitive. Only by bus or on foot. The buses are but an impertinence. If you want to see some animals within 8 hours, you also want to take pictures. The hakeligen windows but every time an impertinence - even for the people sitting at the window. I expected much more animals.

Denali National Park

Denali National Park
Our adventure begins in Denali National Park. This park is one of the largest national parks in North America, covering over 24,000 square kilometers. It encloses a complete ecosystem of coniferous forests and vast areas of tundra, which are covered with flowers in summer, a magnificent sight against the panorama of the snow-capped mountains of the Alaska Range. In the middle of this mountain world rises the highest mountain in North America at 6,194 meters, Mount McKinley, which is always covered with snow and ice. The park is also an animal paradise for bears, moose, wolves and caribou.

The gravel road to the highest mountain in North America with 6194 meters is bad. But every mile is worth it because we have the rare luck to see the giant without a cloud crown.

Good

Denali National Park is such a national treasure. It is a place that you can go and get lost in nature. Its vast wide open spaces make you realize just how small we are. I am thankful that people had the foresight to protect and preserve such a beautiful place.

Did the Kantishna Experience and saw lots of wildlife and learned allot about the park and the animals. Saw over a dozen Grizzly bears, moose (including 2 big bull moose), and Caribou, not to mention other wildlife such as Dall Sheep, Artic Squirrels, Hares and hawks. Don't forget about the mountain! Got to see that amazing creation too! Was awesome for a first time in Denali!

One of the most beautiful places in Alaska in my opinion. The sheer vastness allows for areas to appear untouched by humans. Staying at a campground in the park is a must-do for any summer Alaskan visit. I would definitely recommend taking the bus to wonder lake, that is a great scenic drive as well as the best campground in the park. The views of Denali from there are spectacular.

I went over the summer and it was absolutely amazing. It s so beautiful and scenic. I took a bus into Denali and the animals, mountains, and rivers were stunning. I want to go back to Denali and Alaska itself.

10/10 would go again.

Simply beautiful. I visited it with a bus proposed by the same park because you cannot drive on your own. Prices vary according to the duration of the excursion. I booked the 11-hour one which passed quickly. The driver stops for photos and gives explanations. If you are lucky you will see several animals. I have seen black and brown bears, moose, mountain goats .... and if the snow-covered summit of Denali is clear. It is worth seeing!
