Take one of the bus tours of the park. They vary in length. We had the 9.5 hour narrated trip. The beauty, vastness and reason for supporting our National Parks becomes crystal clear. We saw Dahl Sheep, Grizzlies, Caribou, Golden Eagles, Squirrels and Hares against a background of rugged unspoiled beauty.
There are excellent hiking trails off the visitor center. We took the lake trail and watched a Moose eating in the lake. There are remote camping paths for the experienced hiker. See the website. A natural Wonder.

Great!

Bus ride was very long and uncomfortable. Saw some wildlife but was highly disappointed I did not see one Moose in the wilderness. Our Bus driver/tour guide Linda was wonderful and very knowledgeable and informative.

Wonderful place to visit at least once in your lifetime. We went our first time in 2011 towards the end of the season. We didn't see much for wildlife on our trip or the mountain, but it was beautiful country. In May 2019 we decided to bring our family with this time and from our research read that there is usually more wildlife activity in the Spring. We were one of the first tours of the season going on May 12th 2019. We weren't disappointed either, we got to see more wildlife and were fortunate to see the mountain. The guide told us that only about 30% of the time you will be able to see it. We were very lucky. When we took our train ride after heading south towards Anchorage for our cruise we were extremely lucky to see the mountain again along with it's two neighbors. The guide told us that only 10% of the people ever get that view. So if you ever get the opportunity to go to Alaska take it. The climate is changing and that beautiful country won't be the same for long. Expensive yes but well worth the investment.

Beautiful hiking trails all over the park. You can drive 15 mi in and hike along the river. But to go any further into the park you have to board a tour bus. You can even hike up a mountain Mount Healy. Awesome views!

There is a reason this is one of the most popular parks in the USA. We saw bear, moose, caribue, dall sheep, and the best landscape views in the world. We got lucky and Denali mountain was showing too!

Can only get so far with your own vehicle, and have to take tour buses out to see Denali... plan your time accordingly. Only 30% of visitors actually see the mountain. Great hiking trails and decent animal viewing, although perhaps less than one would expect.

So much to explore that you'll need a few days! But if you're there for a day or two, definitely hike the "Horseshoe Lake Trail". Amazing views of the lake and awesome vegetation all around. Plus, it's super easy to get to from the visitor center

Tried to access the park for this holiday weekend. Trying to get a bus ticket online to enter the park is literally the most miserable experience. The in-person customer service was terrible and don t get me started on the online customer service. Company that does the ticketing is based out of Arizona and huge lapse in communication. After I had my tickets reserved and paid for they called me later that day said the bus broke down and that my reservation was cancelled and hung up. When reaching out again to hear what happened, told me another excuse for why the reservation was cancelled and made no effort to help us get another reservation. Would love to give a review of the park but the park entrance system is abominable.

The view from the seaplane is simply breathtaking. You will definitely enjoy each and every part of it. The views are so good that you cannot forget them. If you are running out of time, then air tour is the best thing you can do and usally takes 2-3 hours for the entire round trip. Few air tours have a glacier landing which is worth taking them.

I loved it. I'd give it 10 stars it's so beautiful. Our guide was very informed and friendly, we made plenty of stops, and got to take plenty of photos. It is the most beautiful place in the world. Wish we had more time there. But thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there.

Beautiful National Park in Alaska. We had our best time at this park. Bus trips provided by the NPS helped us a lot to see wilderness of this national park. We saw Grizzly Bears on that trip. We never forget watching Northern Lights from this park. Absolute stunning.

Took the shuttle into the park to wonder lake. Great shuttle with wonderful driver JJ. They stop if you see wildlife and allow you take pictures or even if it's just a great scenary spot. Saw two families of Grizzlies, doll sheep, caribou, and a moose.

If only the state of Alaska operated this park it would be so much better. Which federal Parks has Travelers we can never stay in a park because we can't know where we're going to be far enough ahead of time. Our federal government can never enlarge or provide adequate camping within a national park matter how many years they are given to do it.

On a clear day it's a beautiful mountain and it can best be seen by either spending $65 in writing a six-hour bus or heading south of the park along the Parks Highway and doing it from the Alaska state park or the highway. These are both free.

In the federal part of the park there's no parking no camping and no doing anything signs everywhere. If you love rules regulations limitations and manipulations you will love our federal parks. It is amazing how regulated The Great Outdoors can be when our federal government is helping us.

If you go to the information Center, notice the part of the park that is owned by the state of Alaska. You can do everything in this part of the park hunt fish camp mostly for free. Alaska treats its citizens with respect and provide services. our federal government treats the franchise holders and vendors in the state parks with respects and does a setup that allows them to exploit the public more than serve the public

If you're willing to tolerate the federal government's idea of freedom, there are great Trails great views and great hiking opportunities in Denali that are unbeatable.

Some of the information in the visitor centers must be taken with a grain of salt as the Environmental extremist write the copy.

On a cloudy day or bad weather the mountain is so high you will not be able to see it for me any viewpoints!

It is amazing to see a natural resource so methodically exploited by the government and vendors while pretending to be a beacon of Nature and wholesomeness

Absolutely beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful.
Cons: you must call at least one day ahead of time to reserve the tram ride you want.
If you have a large party to go together you should call several days ahead of time.
Pack a lunch, drinks and snacks in a backpack all of these items are very high priced in the park.
There are several small stores and gas stations that are a little more reasonably priced.
Make sure to check the weather and dress in layers accordingly.
When walking the trails stop and take the time to look at the beauty of this park.
Make sure to bring a camera, you'll want to get pictures

Wow. Once you get away from the tour bus crazy... wow! They have 4g in the campground so you can download your topos for AlpineGPS then just hit the Savage River Alpine Trail. Park a car by the River Trail if you can, it is easier going up from the campground. You can see sheep up there. Or if you want take the River Trail. After the trail gets bad, stick to the riverbank. It is worth getting wet for the time it saves. Careful of the Savage though it is quick and aptly named. There are bears, and a fresh moose kill or sheep isn't uncommon down the river away from all of the tourists. After these two you'll be ready for a brew from the Riley Campground store. Have a good one. Cheers.

I took the Tundra Wilderness Tour. It was about a 7 hour tour with plenty of breaks and picture opportunities. Comfortable bus. We saw Grizzlies, caribou, Dahl's sheep, eagles and moose. Even saw a moose in the parking lot on the way back to my car.

Don't expect the herds of caribou like you see in nature specials. Depending on when you go there may only be a few animals wondering around where you are. Gorgeous vistas and worth the cost of the bus rides into the park. You are only allowed to drive 15 miles in using a personal vehicle.

Would have given a five but Mother Nature had Denali covered in clouds. Evidently this is quite a common occurrence. But we saw beautiful mountains and streams. Great hike up the Savage Creek. No big animals to see. Few ground squirrels and chipmunks. The visitor center was very interesting and worth seeing.

One of the most incredible and wild places on Earth. I've been to a lot of National Parks and this one is special. It's weird even writing a "review" since Denali is so incredible that it necessitates a 5 star review, but a review can't do the place justice. It has to be seen and experienced in person.

Easily the best national park I have visited. They operate a little different then most and you can not drive all over like most. Camping is available in multiple locations in the park. They offer bus tours to may different locations in the park. You need to take a 4hr bus ride to view Mt. Denali. Hiking trails are all over and range in length and difficulty. Most trails are dirt and are not easily accessible to strollers. I would suggest using something to carry small children if you can. Don't forget to bring your camera! Wildlife is all over the park and can be seen by or on the road at times. Park rangers are very knowledgeable and friendly.
