We had a fantastic day with the family. Afordable costs present a bunch of aquaristic highlights. Top feature is the walk through seawater aquarium with big sharks, groper and stingrays. Our son had a unique day with a beautiful playground and touch the fish. Restaurant is all good. I highly recommend a visit that shoult take at least 3 hours.

The Danish national aquarium "the blue planet" is the most beautiful aquarium we have seen so far. Alone the unusual architecture with the 5 star-shaped arms is already an eye-catcher. Admission to the aquarium is quite expensive in itself, but included in the Copenhagen Card (which is definitely worth it). We were there relatively soon in the morning and during the week, even there we had to stand in line, so the aquarium is (rightly) very well visited.
,
Inside the star-shaped building, you will be guided through various worlds of experience in the 5 arms of the complex, where you can marvel at various marine creatures and exotic animals. A special highlight is the ocean basin in the middle of
4 million liters of sea water Hammerheads, rays and morays frolic. Through the pool also leads an underwater tunnel. In the Amazon area, under a waterfall, there is Piranhas, Anacondas
and to discover alligators. The outdoor area around the aquarium offers a unique and truly gorgeous view of the Baltic Sea.

The blue planet is definitely one of the places to visit during a Copenhagen stay.

I'm a big fan of seeing animal and here I sure did see quite many. The place offers 3 different sections with lots of mini events (feeding, octupus dissection, ...). They have a tunnel through the biggest aquarium and the kids can search for stuffed animals and win a year ticket. The canteen is quite expensive and the fish and chips is more chips than fish but the huge sea otters and the "petting zoo" made up for that. It was a great afternoon I really enjoyed.

Exceptional aquarium. Great variety of fish and animals on display, divided by type of environment.
There is also a realistic reproduction of the rainforest.
In addition, there are lots of exciting activities for children!

Amazing building, very nice aquaria inside, but they do not deviate from the line. We also dreamed of starfish and crabs in the cool aquarium ... The big aquarium with a glass tunnel is very nice too ...

Very nice, I personally liked it very much, it is very close to the airport so there are many means of public transport to get there. A wide variety of fish species, corals, is very beautiful and outdoors, is located by the sea has beautiful treasures for rest, coffee or for dining. If you arrive in Copenhagen it is worth seeing.

The Genoa aquarium makes him a mustache in comparison.
Small and with 4 aquariums placed on the cross.
Let's say that if you have a house in the center like me, making 20-30m with the means to get there and also pay the entrance, it's really bad money.

Super

Great trip for anyone with kids...or a pronounced interest in fish.

Everything is high quality, with none of the ethical issues involving any whales, dolphins, etc which you might find elsewhere. The cafe also serves the best chips (fries, that is) I've found so far in Denmark.

The only (slight) critique is that you'll probably get through, and done, in less than an hour. However, a lovely playground out the back extends things for those kids who love to play with water gadgets.

Wonderful place, great to go with the kids. In addition to an immense variety of aquatic animals, it also has a greenhouse that simulates the rainforest. It has space for picnic and play ground.

Top. This aquarium is worth every penny. If you are in Copenhagen drive. We spent 2 very interesting hours there. The child was blown away and could not stand it out of amazement.
Highly Recommended.

Best aquarium in northern Europe
Super place and divided up in sections and therefore feel roomier than normal aquarium. Recommend the shark feeding

I was alone but the experience was still great, amazing diversity. The only thing missing were some Pacific fish. Very informative and it wasn't that expensive either. Probably the best exhibition was the Amazonian one, the birds were very pretty and that giant fish was really fricking impressive. I found the part were you could touch some fish to be a way too stressful environment ,but what do I know I'm not a marine biologist.

Poor handling of parking conditions. If you do not discover that you have to buy a parking ticket on the website, you will receive a control fee. The day we were visiting, the vending machine did not work and we could not spot a sign with information about buying parking tickets on their website. Why is it not possible to purchase parking as an additional service in connection with the purchase of the entrance ticket? It seems like peasant hunting.

One of the best memories from my trip to Copenhagen . This is my first visit to any aquarium . And this is Europe s largest aquarium . I could spend all the day long here. Free shuttle is available between central station and the aquarium. Great attraction for kids .so beautiful with wide variety of marine creatures and they have a rain forest inside too. We can even touch and feel certain variety of fishes. There is a nice restaurant inside the aquarium with great view

The building that houses the aquarium is a beautiful example of modern style perfectly immersed in the surrounding nature. The aquarium is very beautiful, well-kept in its three areas. Perfect for families also for ease of use. The view from the restaurant offers fantastic food.

Overall a good experience, although there are a few details that haven t worked out.

1)There is plenty of fish, but the aquarium is quite small if compared to other European ones. Fish look like they are well treated and there is a sea otter.

2)Restaurant was overall a nice experience. Service is fast and the price is fair.

3)Bathrooms are very clean.

4)The price is a little high and the parking fee was out of hand.

5)Architectonically speaking the building is amazing, and the view on the sea is gorgeous.

Will never come again. It looks great, but you've seen it all in one hour. They advertise that there are enough activities for children for a full day getaway, but it was so boring that the kids did not care to be there. In short, it is totally overrated at ridiculously high prices!

Very nice aquarium with playful sea otters. Check feeding times on their website before you go. If you can, visit the place during the week as it is quite crowded during holidays or weekends.

Some really beautiful exhibitions, especially the large shark tank. It's a massive window.
We attended the feeding of the fish in the shark tank, it was a bit of a disappointment I had expected a bit more of that.
The actual feeding was over in in a few seconds. Also the guide only spoke danish.
Even for me that speaks swedish it was difficult to cope with what she was explaining about the fishes in the tank.
Apart from that the rest of the exhibitions have textual explanations in danish, swedish and english.
If you have the "Copenhagen Card" the entrance is free making worthwhile to go here.

If you have the least interest in aquariums and fish - then this is the place!
Here are very small fish and they are also very big. It's an amazing experience to visit and can only be recommended :-) :-)

Positioned very close to the airport so perfect to combine with the arrival or departure of your visit/holiday. Free shuttle bus to/from airport. A cool modern building with some huge aquariums, a tunnel and an interesting rainforest section. Feeding the sea otters is a highlight. Get there early for this programmed event or you won't get a seat. Don't sit on the front row you will see more slightly further up the ranked seats. Nice restaurant. Helpful staff. Entrance free with a Copenhagen Card and no extra charges inside. Signage/info in Danish and English. Great family day out.

Denmark's largest tourist trap, expensive expensive expensive. Can be recommended to try sometime so you can then go home disappointed, their large aquarium is nice and their little amazon department. But here you pay more for an architect designed building an animals and experiences, a trip in the Kattegat center or randers rainforest for the blue planet to seem like a boring school trip where you had to be dragged through to be able to write a biology assignment. What a disappointment and what expensive it is. The otter is sweet, but they don't have too much space.
