Aamco South Loop has taken care of my Toyota, my husband's Mercedes, my son's Lexus and my daughter's Nissan for many years now. They are terrific at diagnosing the problems, repairing them and communicating with customers about the problems and predicting when the work will be completed. They are so terrific that we drive all the way across town to take our vehicles there! Dennis is the most brilliant and observant diagnostician you will ever meet. The front office staff are super nice and on top of everything going on in a very busy shop.

I was told I had a transmission problem. I took it to Armco it was a broken torche. Was out much sooner than I expected.

These guys really helped me out. I have lots of problems with my vehicle and needed a partial fix. These guys went way out of their way to ensure I stayed within my budget. They told me of all the issues I needed, but there was no hard sell, guilt, or pressure. I know there is work to do and I will definitely be going back to them in the future. This kind of service is has been hard to find. I was referred to them by a colleague and I am very pleased with my experience.

I left my car for reapir to this shop . they called me to get my car back all was fixed. I have noticed that the chrome door knob was deinstalled. it wasnt there. i told them to find it ,but they said it wasnt there when they got my car first. those guys are thief

My son ended up towing his Lexus SUV here from Stering Lexus 59 & 8 after them rejecting to perform any Transmission Diagnostic or Service.

After reading reviews and rating he was sold and thought this location would examine , troubleshoot and pinpoint the issue the vehicle was having.

He ended up speaking with the Manager of the location shortly after the Tow truck arrived. Managers name was Ash.
He was greeted and the manager told him not to worry that theyll provide him with the best work and diagosis they can. He said that "We are one of the best and trustworthy shops in town just read the reviews , we're not the cheapest nor the most expensive"

Few days later my Son got a call from their mechanic saying that the vehicle needs a transmission. My son asked if they hooked the Transmission machine or if they examined the Transmission pan for metal flakes , particles , or if they atleast checked if the solenoids were all working correctly.

The mechanic told him no they didnt do any of that , that theres no reason to lower the pan or check any of that , that i need a new/rebuilt transmission they gave him a $3,500
Quote for the transmission.

Originally they said theyll check everything and help me not spend money for something that wouldnt fix my problem.

Turns out he told them he would just tow his vehicle because they didnt want to do anything than just replace the transmission.

(Upon hearing this over the phone the mechanic began to panic and was issisting to know what was my son going to do with the vehicle and if they can still do the drain and fill which he originally wanted after the diagnosis.) My son declined.

My son ended up towing it home and performing the drain and fill with filter and that fixed the issue.

Bet they tell everyone that and some people buy into there "Honesty".
Charge them $3000+ for a new/rebuild transmission when all they do is change the fluid and filter.

Thanks AAMCO for your "excellent service and honest care." Bunch of no good wolves dressed as sheep.

I'd advise you to not bring your vehicle for any service here even IF you are having Transmission issues.

What a great group of people! Honest, On-time, and Priced Fairly. Can't ask for much more then this. They did a bunch of work on my car and it was all first class. i will go back for sure, and would not hesitate to send friends and family. Don't think all they do are transmissions either. They go far beyond that, a full service shop.

My GMC truck is paid for, which means NO PAYMENTS. AS fate would have it, last week, I put it in reverse, heard a loud pop, and that was it, I couldn't back up. I called the dealer, and a new (which it turns out is actually a rebuilt, used transmission), was going to be $3986.72, plus tax and installation. So, I called Aamco, talked to a guy named Bill. Ended up driving it to Aamco because I still had Drive. The mechanic checked out the whole truck, Bill told me I was looking at over $2500. Anyway, two days later, I'm back in my truck, everything works, My bill was $2690.14. So, I'm pretty happy, and I figure I saved over a grand. I'll be going back for all of the work on my truck.

The new owners are great. I've been having my 100% synthetic oil changes done here since I purchased my van in 2015. The prices are a little bit lower with the new guys and I would recommend them to anybody I drive from Pasadena to their location strictly to get my oil changed.

I brought my car to Aaron to get a noise looked at they to got me in quick and found the problem. They gave me a very good price and fix it within a day. I am very satisfied with Aaron and the service I received. This will be my new repair shop from now on. I would highly recommend this location.

I highly recommend this place, this specific location! I had a transmission issue with my Ford Explorer, brought it in, and after they checked it out decided to have the transmission completely rebuilt which comes with a 30,000 mile warranty (or something similar - I may have the mileage amount wrong). Car ran fine for a couple of months and then the exact same issue came up again. Took it back to Aamco, they honored their warranty and fixed it. About a month later the SAME ISSUE happened again. Again, they stood by their warranty and this time, on their own dime, they bought another new transmission and replaced the one they had put in previously. So far, so good! I received the absolute best customer service each and every time I worked with them. One evening a member of the staff even stayed late so I could pick my car up on my way home from the airport. With Aamco it feels like you are doing business with your friends, which is they way it should be. I will continue to use them in the future...even after I get rid of this damn Ford! ;)

Me and my husband swear by this place, we both have had to do yearly check ups and fix a couple of things and it s always been the same, they explained everything even a couple of different times until I understood. They worked quickly and the job was done for good each time... totally recommend!!! I come by myself perfectly comfortable and confident.
Aaron Bryant took care of us this last time, he waited for me until 10 minutes after their closing time on a SATURDAY!!! To let me pick up my car. Yup! Pretty amazing!

My first visit to Aamco was in 2001 w/my 1989 Acura Transmission was not working. Excellent work was done on this car. Traded this car in 1997.

My second visit was in 2011 with my 2004 Mazda transmission was not working. Excellent work was done on this car. Traded car in 2013. Dealership was surprised car was still running well.

My daughter 2004 Honda Pilot transmission stop working in 2014 and again the work done on this truck was great! The truck is still running well today. I truly recommend Aamco at this location. I have never been disappointed with the SUPERB JOB they have done. I rate them as 5 Star!!!

As always, great service. Took my car in to be checked out for a trip and was grateful to find confirmation (my husband had suggested this replacement was needed soon) that my battery was weak. AAMCO informed me that it would be fine for the trip but should do it within the next couple of months to avoid problems. I did it there, and was sent on my way for a confident road trip. I love this place!

I had a leaking oil cooler assembly on a Friday afternoon. Aaron took care of me! I was leaking a lot of oil. Time is key for me. He went out of his way on Friday after work to pick up parts from a dodge dealer. If that isn t great customer service I don t know what is! Point being is that I got to pick up my van on Saturday afternoon. I would recommend Medcenter Aamco to everyone in need with repairs or preventive maintenance work!! 10/10

My car died on 610 and I was able to coast off the highway and right into their driveway. That was a piece of good luck for me! Even though they were very busy, they were able to quickly diagnose my problem and give me a solid estimate for the work. They kept me informed and finished the work that same day. They even waited past closing for me because they knew I needed the car back that day. Very knowledgeable staff. Great customer service.

The atmosphere was very friendly. Nathan went out of his way to get my vehicle serviced today. Linda was very helpful with the questions I needed answered. I highly recommend this shop.

This place has the friendliest mechanics ever. So helpful too. They are also very fair and honest. I thought there was something serious with my car and turned out it was something so simple they refused to even charge me for it and even rotated a tire for free. Super nice guys.

This place sucks the front desk attendant left the desk for over 30 minutes and workers walking by didn't ask if I needed any help I got up and walked off ...going to a different location I guess minority isn't priority here !!!!!!

The service I ve received here has been great. Reasonable prices, no hard sells and I ve never felt pressured to buy things I don t need. The front desk staff is always kind and courteous and the waiting area is clean and comfortable.

Bill and Chuck are the BEST. The staff was very nice & my car runs GREAT.

Best team ever!! My insurance kept giving me the run around (I know nothing about cars, period) and they made sure that I got the best deal! The repairs reported by my company initially was about $900 ( including my $500 deductible) but their team informed me that my vehicle actually had about $1300 worth of damage. And I still only had to pay my $500 deductible! They didn t miss a beat, my mechanic was Lance. Thanks guys!! We need more mechanics like y all.

Exceptional customer service. Professionalism is always displayed. Mechanics are open to letting you see exactly what needs to be repaired before doing any work. I've even gotten rides back to my home and pick up after repairs are done. This is the only place I trust in Houston to work on my vehicle.

This is the best auto service I have met. After I read other comments to AAMCO here,today I went to AAMCO for oil change. Just a few minutes when I arrived, the mechanic started to check my car and change the oil. About 50 minutes, everything was done. Of course, their oil-change service also includes a complete free car check including tire pressure, light, wiper blades and others.I found all the people there are very nice, especially the owner there. He explained each item listed on the check report, and he also used a model to explain how the transmission works in a car for me. The sevice is excellent! The service fee there is also very fair. I strongly recommend you go there to maintain your car.

These guys were very knowledgeable, honest and even down to earth. They didn't make any promises they couldn't keep and in the end I spent a lot less than I'd expected with a significant improvement to my vehicles vehicle performance. They were also very helpful when it came to explaining what was going on with my truck and I left with a much better understanding of the issues and components involved. The owner even drove me and my wife back to our house while they worked on the car. I highly recommend this location.

My car has battery problem then I make a call. The people comes in 5 min and makes it work (free!).

Every customer that walked out seemed so happy about the service. I see why because they spoke to me as a person and not as a dollar sign. Brought my truck to get an estimate. Was told after only I d say 45mins You are going to need a complete rebuild or replace with new transmission. I asked Just out of curiosity, what would it cost me? He quickly replied Around $3,500 I m thinking to myself Hmmmm, that was a bit too quick to determine all of this , but I m no expert. I declined. And yes! Had to pay $30 for that. The guy telling me this is talking to me and never looking up at me. I just didn t have a good feeling from start to finish. I immediately searched other places near me. I found A Plus Transmission Specialists over on Bellaire Blvd. I told them what issues I had, they said They d have to spend some time with it and get back with me this would be Free of charge . I left my vehicle there. They called me and told me a few possibilities and some issues they could detect upfront , but couldn t be certain with *everything until they actually go inside. They did! Called me back and told me what was going on in complete detail. I was given my quote. Not only was I given just a quote, but I was given 3 options. I gave them the go ahead. $2,200. Yes, obviously I had some serious issues, but it s a huge difference from $3,500. Even if this place could have done it at the same price or cheaper? The steps they took or lack there of.... just didn t give me a good feeling. Not to mention A Plus has plenty of good reviews. Now, I m not here to run this place out of business. I m just saying the service there felt very poorly. And I didn t feel I would get an honest job.

This place is great, I always get in and out with no issues. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They always give me a good idea of what's going on, the steps it will take to fix it, and how much it's going to cost me. I would definitely recommend this place for car services.

Getting your car serviced is not fun and, unfortunately, I often feel I'm being taken advantage of. Not the case with this AAMCO. I went in last week because my car told me to the technician had me in-and-out quickly with rotated tires and brakes flushed and a price substantially less than anticipated. I'll be back.

I called Bryan on Friday , got in on Monday and help me out a lot by telling me all I needed and quoting the price ! They were even cheaper than the dealer ! Thank you so much

My experience with Aamco was great. The car expert Aaron Bryant was extremely professional as well as courteous. He kept me informed of what was going on with my vehicle and the price I was expecting to pay did not change and as a women we want to feel that we're not being overcharge with unnecessary fees and extra work not needed on our vehicles. He explained my warranty to me which was one of the reasons I chose Aamco. It was a pleasure working with him and I will most definitely refer his location to my family and friends

Wow, this place is really amazing. First of all, customer service is great. They are all really nice and honest people. I went to NTB for an estimate on my suspension and they were charging me over $2,000, but I decided to go back to Aamco and they actually inspected my car carefully and told me what needed to be replaced. Richard is really a great and honest guy that wants the best for his customers. So I got more than half less than NTB on that job and I even got to do a transmission fluid! I just found my new shop! great price, good quality, honest, fast, and amazing customer service.

I had Coolant leak in my car and went there. Aaron first said to check my car for 40$. they just tried to start engine and i am told as engine doesnt work. I told them engine is ok and it was running. Later i checked the car and there were no coolant at all in it. How did they try starting engine without coolant ?? I am told that engine starts without coolant. So isnt it dangerous for engine ?
So they asked 150$ for diagnose . Diagnose is 75 $ everywhere. They didnt spend 5 min to check my car so far.
I told them to find the leak and fix but ignored.
They told me that engine may have problem
They told me battery is dead and jump started but it was running when i brought there.

I kept telling them i didnt have any battery issue my battery is ok. Then aaron told me alternator may have a problem. I again told them nooo.
So that day i had to leave my car there because 4 hours had passed and it was night. If i knew that they were trying to take advantage of me i would never go this shop.
The day later they told me the cost is 1000 $ just for coolant leak ??

They told that they would replace hoses and some other parts.
I checked the bill and there were no parts shown replaced. Just seen as labour and total. This is not the way doing bussiness.
I dont reccomend anyone go this repair-shop

This was a first time for me to go to any kind of car service as I just got the car a week ago. These guys are really helpful. They explained the problem in detail and had exact solution for it. They got my AC fixed within no time. Great place as they value your time and money both.

The owner of this AAMCO was super helpful! I came in expecting to pay for them to reattach my mud guard because it came loose and was scraping the pavement, but they reattached it with zip ties free of charge. Will definitely be returning for other automotive needs.

As a physician I need my car since I am always on call. I have been bringing my jetta since last year and you all have always treated me right. Thanks for fixing my brakes, no more squealing or shaking.

I've been bringing all of my various vehicles to Aamco over the years. And each time they've done a remarkable job for a great price. Great staff and excellent customer service.

I was raised to do my own auto maintenance and repairs - as much as possible - but these days the technology is such that unless one is both a trained technician and has the requisite toys little beyond oil and filter changes is possible for the proverbial shade-tree mechanic.

The point is that in today's world, if you want to properly maintain your vehicle, you MUST have a mechanic or garage you can trust. It is just too easy for an unscrupulous garage to take advantage.

That is why I consider Chuck, Richard, and the team at AAMCO S. Loop to be such a blessing! In years past I relied almost exclusively on Skeeter's in Cypress but followed his recommendation since moving to SW Houston and I have no regrets. They've done a fantastic job of tending to both my wife's car and mine whenever we've had an emergency repair or scheduled maintenance. (They've even fixed a couple of my own screw-ups and managed to avoid laughing at me in the process!) They are always up-front and accurate with their estimates and are never proceed without my express approval. Not to mention their pricing is fair and competitive and they are very patient to explain technical issues that I may not, at first, understand.

I have absolute and complete confidence in AAMCO - South Loop car care and would recommend them to anyone.

Nathan to care about my state inspection very professionally. Everything was done very fast and even he printed out my insurance card for me. because he was required by law to have it. Mine expired a few days ago. they do smog check oil, change I think,state inspection.
give them a call . Please ask for Nathan I highly recommend this station.

If you want great customer service, look no further, I can't recommend this place enough! While I ultimately didn't get my transmission serviced because the cost was too expensive (because of the age/mileage of the car), Brian and Aaron were incredibly helpful, patient, and professional. I've had some difficulty obtaining my title from out of state and arranging a donation pickup, but they have been helpful throughout the entire process and made it less stressful than it could have been. They have definitely earned my business moving forward! Thanks AAMCO!

I was hesitant to write this review since I don't want more people waiting in line in front of me when I bring a car in.

This place is great. I've been bringing cars into shops my whole life and dealt with countless mechanics and "car care experts" that I didn't trust. I truly believe the guys here at AAMCO are not only intelligent, but honest about what the car needs. They explain EVERYTHING in detail, tell you what they believe your best options are, and don't just haphazardly throw invoices your way hoping you'll cave.

And for the women out there, it was my wife bringing her car in first that drew me to the place. They were very patient and understanding of her lack of car knowledge and explained everything to her in detail so we could make an educated decision together at a later time. I know every entity is a business, but it feels like the guys here value customer retention more than a quick dollar, and I'll take that in a local mechanic any day.

I showed before noon for a basic oil change and I ended up leaving around three and a half hours later. It took them 2 hours to even get to my car. I've never waited longer than an hour and half anywhere else.

My wife and I are from bowling green KY and we re on our way to Houston for dr appts. And our car developed problems running. After stopping at a couple of auto stores in Lufkin Texas and being told it could be transmission problems we limped into Houston on a Sunday and called AAMCO on Monday. Nathan was so helpful and told me to bring it in and he would see what could be done to get me back home. He worked us in and the mechanic figured out that it was not the transmission after all, so they repaired it and now I m on my way. Many thanks to Nathan and whoever the mechanic was they both were AWSOME!!!!!. I will definitely go back to them if I ever need to
