We just hosted our wedding here and honestly it was such a great experience with all the staff and how we were treated. Times are a little bit weird with COVID but the lodge was super flexible in ensuring that our time was special while respecting social distancing measures. They were very accomodating with a small group wedding and last minute reservations. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. They also had nespresso, chocholate champagne and chocolate stawberries waiting for us in our rooms. Two staff members especially, Kyle Campbell, one of the lodge directors, and our waiter Adam went above and beyond each night to help us out.

A mediocre stay and accommodations for a premium price.

The hotel is nice enough - However for a 4/5-star "signature" or "autograph" location the rooms, service, drinks, and food were alright... At best. The common areas were nice, however the rooms felt no more special than a typical hotel.

- Room service came cold with stale and rock-hard bread, rock-hard brown sugar, and no condiments for the breakfast. Sadly, an $9.00 breakfast at Ricky's puts this to shame.
- Servers appeared understaffed or overworked - With it taking over 40 minutes for us to get our bill during lunch once requested, or drinks showing up wrong or them being unable to find our room it was a constant test of patience.
- Our couples massage was unfortunate and the massage therapists appeared new. At one point my wife pulled away in pain and instead of adjusting or asking how the pressure was, they continued on, seemingly unaware. As a massage therapist herself, she was less-than-pleased.

There were other disappointments throughout the stay, but in an effort to save myself time I've only listed the most typical.

The only redeeming part of our stay was the Spa itself and the staff - The hydrotherapy cycles were enjoyable and relaxing and staff throughout were constantly friendly and appeared happy.

Overall, for a weekend getaway I would save your money and go elsewhere. For the cost, and the expectations that it brings, the only word that comes to mind is mediocre.

My kids loved the new pool! We spent hours at the water slides! I love that kids under 6 eat free. The renovations are nice and we re overdue. We spent a lot of time playing board games in the beautiful lobby!

What an upgrade to the old hotel that was here previously! I decided about 5 or 6 years ago when I was here last that I didn't need to come here ever again. The place was so shabby looking and neglected then, but what a transformation. Now it's fresh and bright, elegantly decorated and serving exceptional food. I'll be back!

I have to say im am a bit dissapointed with this hotel. I used to stay here a log time ago, and the staff used to be very kind and friendly. Unfortunatley, this time around, one of the staff members was quite rude an treated us as if we were kids. Otherwise thefe are major renovations going on, and may not be done until winter time this year

Beautiful hotel with friendly and competent front desk staff. Room was clean, only thing missing was bathrobes. Right next door to the Nordic spa and 5 mins from Nakiska ski hill. Excellent gym (squat rack available). Unfortunately the pool and waterslides were closed during our stay. Room service was quick and had breakfast at Forte (average buffet). Would highly recommend!

Hotel still under construction. We arrived late evening, hardly found a restaurants coz no signs at all. Foods are okay, servers are nice and friendly.
Fat woman at front desk looked friendly but stupid. We are parties of 2 rooms, and asked to have both rooms close together. She said she will try her best, end up we were like miles away. We asked to correct it, then she was rude and said will fix it later. We were just very much ignored.
Finally had to get floor manager to change rooms for us.
Hotel is like in the desert. Will not visit again for sure.
P.s. rooms without air-conditioning. Only provide with a fan.

We attended a wedding in the Gold/Silver rooms. The space was beautiful, the staff were wonderful and very on the ball about dietary requirements and anything else that was needed. It was a beautiful event

Excellent place located right in the mountains with a brand-new Nordic Spa. I never got a chance to try the spa out but it looks amazing and everybody enjoying it look like they're having a great time. Also the restaurants here offered high end plates and well trained staff

The natural beauty surrounding Kananaskis Mountain Lodge makes it a must stay / must visit spot. The lodge has been updated and amenities like the swimming pool and fitness facilities are currently undergoing renovations. As well, a Nordic Spa is being constructed adjacent to the lodge. The spa features hot, warm, and cold water pools along with a variety of saunas. Note that the cost of the spa is not included with accommodation, though you do get a discount. When you are done hiking, golfing, skiing, or walking around the trails surrounding the lodge, check out The Cedar Room restaurant. The food is fantastic and the grill will cook a steak to perfection.

Incredible views, amazing access to hiking, mountain biking and river sports. All suites have amazing views. Suites are very clean, cozy and pleasant. All staff are professional and courteous. Bar is expensive, but hey, that's life at a resort. A great place to work and a better place to vacation.

Beautiful hotel with scenic views. The pool was great for kids. We had lots of fun on the slides. The beds were comfy. The room was clean and nice! We did enjoy the hotel itself.

The only downside was dining at this resort. Since it's far away from everything, you are limited to the dining options at the hotel. We checked in early and I was told that in order to eat at the restaurant you need to make reservations. What she didn't say was the fact that the dining room books up extremely quickly. A valid, crucial piece of information. I called around 2 pm to make reservations and we were told they were already booked solid. Children apparently only eat free in the dining room, so if we were to order to our room, we would have to pay the 20% gratuity, plus the room service fee, plus we'd have to pay for our children to eat. It's not exactly a cheap restaurant, so this would really add up. This was literally our only option, unless we wanted to drive all the way back to Canmore.

We also didn't realize that using some of the pools they show on their website meant spending an additional $100 per person. Such a money grab.

The newly renovated suits are nice. Pool and hot tub area are some of the nicest I've been too. Food is good and not too expensive. The only downside is that there is only on demand on the TV and the cheapest movie is $14

I think this place has had a change of name as it was called "Mount Kidd Manor" when I stayed. Anyway, the location is beautiful, and the hotel is pretty good looking too. The room I stayed in was stunning with a loft space for a massive bed that was a mini hike to traverse. I had been trekking all day bagging some peaks, and must have looked like the Abominable Hiker when I arrived in the very posh reception. Felt a bit out of place among the washed and heeled. However, the staff treated me like a normal human. Unfortunately they made an error and sent me to wrong reception desk on the other side of the complex, and then the card machine ran out of paper. I wasn't smiling much as I was in medical need of a shower and cold beer...but they picked up on my vibe and did everything they could to fix these very minor things, and....offered me a free breakfast! My little face smiling after that must have been a picture, lol. The whole place felt like a resort, but in quite a cosy way, and views made everything feel really good. I'll say it again, I loved the room! I think they had the fastest Internet on the planet as my 6GB of photos from the last few days upload whilst I was in the shower - I even downloaded a movie. The buffet breakfast was utterly top notch. I spent a good hour carb, fat, and protein loading for coming week. Could have carried on but stomach was starting complain. If I could add a little "+" sign on the end of the 5 stars in this review I would. Note: I got a last minute deal in high season.

Meeting room was like an oven, everyone was uncomfortable. Or snack service was forgotten. Not enough tables setup to provide proper food and beverage service. Overnight room I stayed in was lofted bedroom. Nicer looking room, although not very conventional.

My boyfriend and I were at the kananaskis mountain lodge and Nordic spa over the weekend and it was the ABSOLUTE nicest couple days. The room, the spa, food and drinks, pool and surroundings are all on point! All the fireplaces are such a nice touch too, had fun playing games in the lobby by the fire, relaxing in the spa, coffee by the fire outside and so many nice walks with great views of the mountains. Staff are so lovely too, always super helpful and kind! The cleaners even organized my make up and hair products so nicely in the bathroom after they cleaned our room.
Everything is so comfortable and relaxing, we ve come quite a few times now, and each time just gets better. Already can t wait for our next visit.
Thank you kananaskis lodge and Nordic spa! We love our stays with you.

This place would have got a 5 but it's mini fridge is to small with no mini freezer and there's no micowave plus they didn't even have breakfast set up when they knew my group phone ahead about and breakfast didn't agree with me either very beautiful inside parking definitely needs improvement also.....

Service was above and beyond - very professional and friendly. Room was fine, the area is very pretty (though the renos detract from the ambience, that can't exactly be helped). The bed was okay - some comments were made that it was hard but I found it alright. Overall a good experience, though priced well above its worth in my view.

Our stay was in the John Palliser budding, and the room was quiet, clean, and fit our needs. While the spa was under construction during our stay, everything else was great. The breakfast buffet at Forte was top notch!

The location was beautiful and the place was very clean. Overall it was a poor experience. We were celebrating my son's birthday and decided on this place for the waterpark and other amenities. When we arrived on a weeknight in September, there were no clean rooms at 5pm so we had to wait. Even though online there was a ton of availability the day of. So we waited just over an hour with 2 little kids for a room. The water park itself had some tiles peeling posing a tripping hazard in the pool and the floor around the pool was very slippery. Not safe at all. For the 300$ per night price tag it was a complete let down. I had reached out to management and have yet to hear back and it's been over a month. Could have been so much better considering it's a higher end hotel with the hefty price tag.

Nice place. Easy-going staff and pleasant. It's a bit dated but they are building and renovating certain buildings.
Food is moderately expensive but not out of reach. The cost should be expected.

The pool is a kids paradise as it s full of slides and large wading pool for toddlers. The staff are great and the rooms have all been upgraded so they look great. My kids absolutely love this place and as a result we will continue coming back here over and over again.

The hotel was pretty and clean.

The service was less than satisfactory. We were told we didn t need a reservation for the Italian Restaurant when we called on Tuesday to reserve for dinner on Saturday. When we arrived at the hotel on Saturday we were unable to have a place for dinner, all of the restaurants were fully booked for dinner.

The website said the pool was closed for Sunday. But on Sunday morning we discovered that it was only partially closed, we would have loved to go swimming one more time if we had known.

At checkout they didn t close off the pre-authorization credit card when I paid, so checking our statement the next day was surprising. We now are showing two charges.

If you expect service like the Fairmont, you will be disappointed! However, you are paying comparable prices and the service is just not comparable.

We booked the Loft room and due to a maintenance issue we did not get that room, that was understandable as it was an unforeseen problem. We were upgraded to a lovely room and then a second room, (to accommodate the amount of people in our party), however none on this was noted on the reservation and that caused confusion and delays upon checkin and checkout.

I love the smell of campfire as you pull up to the property.

The property has been renovated and is so great now! Definitely needed the update and refresh.

The rooms are nice, the restaurants are great, and love that there is a cafe/market (can grab sandwiches, snacks, salads, coffee).

Lots of areas to sit around and lounge.

The lobby bar is fantastic and they have the BEST homemade potato chips.

Cedar Room gets very busy and is often booked, so make a reso if you want to have dinner there. Blacktails Lounge is opened until 11pm, so a great spot to grab a bite, drink and lounge.

The only con is the air conditioning doesn t work in the rooms and could get quite hot in there.

This hotel with a very beautiful view!!
I recommend it

A very pretentious hotel with nice finishings and absolutely unacceptable for anything but sleeping. You cannot eat in your room at all. The washroom door closes extremely noisy and you wake up everybody in the room at night. The toilet is also unbearably noisy.
The fridge was not working, I had to pull it from the cabinet to find out that it was unplugged. Now it works but freezes everything and the temperature cannot be adjusted.
There are very limited options for food, all quite expensive and you have to book any of them and cannot get convenient time.
Overall the hotel is badly overpriced for all the inconveniences you have to go through.
Would not recommend.

This resort, which used to belong to the Delta chain of resorts, has undergone major renovations and although there is still some work to be completed this resort is worth the cost. There is no shortage of staff to welcome, greet, or help you when you arrive. Restaurants and bars, recreational activities, walking trails, and beautiful scenery are abundant. Definitely would recommend this place.

Amazing service above and beyond all expectations. Made a birthday celebration truly special. Attentive consierge staff and service staff. Room was spectacular and spa was wonderful experience. Would recommend!

New facility, needs some refinement such as low background spa music or similar, pronounced essential oils in both steam rooms, not just eucalyptus. All pools allow guests to talk and cackling. It would be nice if there was an area that was quiet or silent for those who want to relax. Restaurnt is overpriced (28$) for a 9oz wine.

Facility was clean and good COVID 19 protocols in place.
