I recently had a stent put in my artery for a 95% blockage. The doctors, nurses and staff were amazing! I felt so comfortable. Everyone was exceptionally kind. I would highly recommend Deborah. It's the best!!

HORRIBLE!!! while some of the staff are really kind and listen to you so they can help figure out what is wrong,there are about 3 of them that came of to me as very rude they didn't listen to what was wrong and just walked off leaving me sitting there for hours no blanket to keep warm or anything to keep me feeling calm.

There is no way that my heart catheterization procedure could have been handled any better. I include the doctor, the nurses, the attendants, the food, and probably a whole bunch of other things that I've left out. Keep it up!

I took my father in to get a TEE and heart ablation yesterday at 8:30am. Just to let anyone know if they are going there for an operation do not expect it to be a few hours. It is an all day procedure. We didn't leave till 8pm. Just make sure you go with a charger for your phone, and have your entire day cleared before going. It was the same situation for everyone else that was in there that day so we weren't a unique situation.

I love the heart doctors there, but would not send anyone there with COPD or any other type of breathing issues. Both my husband and uncle have been there for breathing issues, we found out that my husband had COPD about 12 years ago in Ohio by 3 different doctors. Then we move here to jersey and they tell him oh no your fine from one doctor there then the next one he see from there says yes it is getting worse. My uncle went there and they told him he had cancer in the lungs and wanted to follow up with him, this was over a year ago and they have failed to do anything else about this. Every time we call they say someone will call you and you never hear back from them.

1993 My mother had open heart Surgery and never made it home. she passed away in the hospital 2 weeks later. I was only 15 years old but I remember those days and weeks clearly. Nurses and the Doctors did not care or try hard enough to save my Mother's life.

My Mom was in today for a couple of procedures. On 4F unit, her nurse, Julie, was the best!! She was professional while also being open and comforting to my Mom. Julie helped to ease the nervousness and anxiety about the day, really a nice person.
Thank you so much, it means the world to us that Julie cared enough to be supportive and empathic to us all.

This place saved my life...I came from Temple, Jefferson and U of PA and none of them could hold a candle to the brilliance and skill level of these sterling cardiologists...and the most genius of them all is Dr. Corbisiero, who is a world-renowned electrophysiologist. They have blown the doors off the so-called Ivy League Philly hospitals and I went from bed-bound to living a normal life. I owe them my life and a whole lot more. No wonder people keep donating to them!

They are the most caring Medical Staff which I have ever seen! They take whatever insurance you have, plus they never send you a Bill! They are GREAT!! I want to Move in!

Absolutely love this hospital. Although I have been there for other reasons, I mostly go to Vascular. I have never met a doctor, nurse or any other employee that wasn't nice, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The process of having test done then seeing the doctor always runs smooth. I have to say, I always feel that I was well taken care of. I also always make sure I tell them how much I like this hospital.

I would not recommend the Vascular Department at Deborah Heart and Lung Center if you have an alternative. I was very dissatisifed with the service provided by Dr. Sajid M. Ismail. This is not the care you expect from what is supposed to be a Top Rated Hospital. The follow-up care is even worse! Poor patience service and long wait times for follow-up appointments.

Deborah Heart and Lung saved my life! Dr. Burns is a brilliant surgeon! My cardiologist Dr. Altimore is the best, simply the best! The staff are caring and wonderful people! Will not help you if you dont have insurance. They will act like they tried but wont actually do anything to help you

When scheduling an Outpatient Appointment, the appointment desk people tell you a certain time is your appointment and arrive 1/2 hour earlier than your appointment. I was told my appointment was for 1pm, to arrive at 12:20. I m still waiting at 1:30 to be called back to see the doctor. Ask the nurse desk n my appointment time wasn t until 1:45. But the appointment desk clearly told me to arrive at 12:30 for an 1 :00 appointment. So you sit n wait an Hour to see your dr. There needs to be more CLEAR times given when scheduling an appointment.

Deborah is the best hospital I have been to. I had my open heart surgery back in 2011 and Dr. McGrath and Dr. Sena and all the nursing staff took very good care of me. I am happy to say everything went well and I even have a very small scar that is barely even visible ! I recently returned for an updated evaluation. The wait time was not bad at all . From my appointment time to the time I left only an hour had gone bye .The staff was very kind and happy to answer any of my questions. On my way out I got a little lost and one of the nurses Tony who was helping me before noticed and showed me the way back out to the lobby

I've been coming to Deborah since I was an infant. The staff is the friendliest and most caring of any that I've ever met. Their state-of-the-art expertise saved my life. I had a heart valve replaced and go there nearly every week for blood tests. Each and every person in the building is friendly, caring and respectful. I love Deborah and recommend this hospital to anyone with any heart or lung issues.

On November 13th (Friday by the way) had a cardiac catheterization and one stent put in. Was in and out in 8 hours. Everybody from the check-in receptionist to the exit door were polite and professional. The doctors and nurses were fantastic and the cath lab is state-of-the-art! Vince S.

Had two surgeries here and another coming up. Excellent doctors and nurses. Have had 11 different surgeries in hospitals around the state and Pennsylvania none of them can compare to Deborah.

Went for very sever tooth pain the doctor was a very nasty black women, who states you don't need me you a dentist her is ibuprofen. Well thanks guess you didn't hear me or didn't care that I took it already a hour before hand an it's not working! Horrible experience I'd rather die in an emergency then ever go back there

Horrible Experience !!! Let me start by I was admitted By Lourdes to Deborah this july . I was Brought up to the floor at 5 am and the nurses that took my history were nice then . They saw that I had a previous name and assured me that would be changed !!!!!!!!! My room was dirty disgusting and the shade that blocked the light was broken Tv didnt work either I told them but no one cared . I met with A Dr lee on call cardiologist who had the bedside manner of a gnat , he decided to change my current medication to a medication that interferes with my pulmonary issues he didnt even make eye contact. I met with a Dr. Balatsky who came in and started talking about this procedure and that procedure could hardly hear him refused to talk over the noise in my room my fiance didnt understand a word he was saying I said whoa before we talk about electrophysiology lets get my issue with this pneumonia my Ct scan said I have . He said okay . So on to some more nursing care I am a former nurse . I have never seen nor have I ever practiced nursing care the way they do . They did not give me a medication reconciliation list where you and the nurse go over all your medications to make sure no errors are made . They opened medications on their cart and when i asked they said just take them they are your meds .Unbelievable I will be calling the NJ State Boad of Nursing . They didnt have most of my usual medications and they substituted without asking me if you have your own medications which every hospital can send them down to pharmacy for you to use Please know this everyone be informed . I was seen by infectious disease who ordered a lot of Bloodwork however when i was discharged she never came back to discuss any findings . Im amazed and perplexed . They did do a lot of tests . I had a consult with a pulmonologist Dr . Martin who was not very inviting or engaging seemed like it was an imposition for him to be there . i asked questions he seemed rattled . He said he would schedule an appt outpatient for a multidisciplinary team and discuss a plan of action. The next day I was rushed out of there like I had the plague . Was not seen by infectious disease BTW . My discharge papers were so messed up they said I was scheduled for an outpatient Bronchoschopy instead of a team meeting clearly we knew they were a messed up disorganized organization that they call a hospital. We signed a release for medical records to fax to my primary MD , they were never faxed . So we went for our outpatient meeting which to my surprise they still had me under my old married name we waited for an hour disgrace !! When i got in i was in a room with a nurse . then Dr martin who I was expecting never showed up he sent someone else couldn't understand her . We left this place knowing less than before they were not knowledgeable as I expect from a heart and lung institute that actually has some poor reviews as i did my checking. I called their customer service and the first woman was defensive and snotty . I called back and got Tina turner and explained my medical records were messed up half the chart were in two different names my history of medical issues were wrong . Its was like no one communicated well and she started to raise her voice i recorded her and told her that she said "I dont care" Im astounded that even their customer service representatives are as lousy as their care . Please beware as a nurse and a patient no one deserves to be treated like an animal . This place actually frightens me . I will use RWJ or Hackensack Meridian health who have outstanding care and great customer service satisfaction reviews. That being said I am calling risk management and sending a letter to their Board of trustees. Remember it is your health you life make sure it is in well trained KIND people who treat you with respect #Never Deborah Lastly The joke is when you call the nasty customer service people they could not care less I love these reviews that say Please let us know and file a formal complaint !!!

Deborah saved my fathers life. He was there for a cardiac catheterization. Shortly after the procedure, when he returned back to his room he suffered a heart attack. I was in the room and once it happened, 4 doctors were there in an instant. They ushered me out and tended to him. He immediately had a triple bypass and I know in my heart that if he was not at Deborah, he would not be with me today. That was 25 years ago... :-)

My nephew got a open heart surgery there got discharged and he wasent feeling well we went back and they denied service . we went to another hospital and they told us he had blood clots in his heart worst experience ever

Went here for a cardioversion and this Hospital is a disgrace!!!! The most FILTHIEST HOSPITAL IVE AVER BEEN TO! The bathroom in my room had dirt and hair all over the floor! The window sill in the room had dust all over it like it hasn't been dusted in a month! Very disappointed!!! I will NEVER go to this Hospital EVER AGAIN!!!! The sheets on my bed had brown stains on them!!!! UNREAL!!!!!

My worse ever visit with cardiologist. I have to wait almost an hour to get registered.My husband took off from work to go with me and wasted his time. Then I saw assistant cardiology Laurie Trad who come to see me already mad. She didn't want to hear my concerns. She was rude and didn't answer any of my questions. Actually she got more agrivated and mad when I asked anything. If I didn't have heart problem before I saw her, she gave me there stressing me out. What a rude person!

I'm angered that someone actually had the nerve to say the staff there "didn't care or work hard enough." These are some of the most caring people you'll ever meet-anywhere. My family, including myself have a lot to thank them for. We, especially my parents have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over many years as a way of trying to thank them for their tremendous efforts to to support their free care. If you need the kind of help they offer, especially if you don't have insurance or the resources, I strongly advise you to go to them. And everyone who's ever been helped by them, as well as their friends and family should "give back."

As a soldier on Ft Dix, we use this hospital as our backup. They give us exceptional service.

It's a very clean and friendly place but considering I was only there because my uncle died makes me not like it!!

My Father was the Chief Biomedical Engineer, until he retired last Winter. Deborah Hospital saved my life many times. I had a VIP Access. I now must go to Cooper Hospital for Heart care. It is a very clean Facility, and the rest rooms are very clean!

My problem is with the Electrophysiology Dept. I have Arrhythmia's and was told by my "Fellow" to meet with the new dr to discuss ablation. I did this but instead met with not the dr but the nurse practicioner. That went good until it was time for the "monitor" to arrive via Fedex. It was due 4dys later. After many phonecalls, from me, I got no information. Didn't know if or when it was order, if it was denied. Absolutely no help! It arrived two weeks later. Without a phonecall. Not the way to care for a patient. Very disappointing. If I am able to find a Cardiologist to resume my care, I will not be returning to Deborah. This after many years of carem

Experienced and able doctors. Amazing nurses. My MIL had her mitral valve replaced and tricuspid repaired which was a major surgery with her being in the ICU for 3 weeks. Surgeon Ronald Ross is the best surgeon and knows his patients very well. The post surgery care is exceptional.

This level of care you receive here is unmatched 10 STARS wouldn't be enough. Because of all of them, from the doctors that did the surgery to the nurses that watched over and cared for me, I am alive today (going on 3 1/2 yrs after my OHS and 3 1/2 yrs that would not have happened without all of them) My family and myself can not say thank you enough.

On December 13, 2018 I had my first visit with Dr Altimore. I liked him very much. ,He ordered a holter monitor and told me he wanted to see me two weeks after I got the results. I got the holter on January 4th and it was mailed back on January 6th. I have called at least 4 times for results. I have spoken to the Drs secretary and am always told it hasn't been read yet. Yesterday when I called I was told she didn't know why it hasn't been read being its almost three weeks. She said she would check and call me back. I never got a call. This is a terrible way to treat a patient. What if something wrong showed on the monitor? Unfortunately although I liked the Dr I feel I have no choice but to find another cardiologist away from Deborah. Three weeks and still no call. Why?

UPDATE: I just received a call from the Drs secretary and all has been resolved

I had 2 cardiac stents placed in my LAD 2 years ago today I am thriving and living well....Great hospital and great staff.

It does not matter how good the doctors are or how advanced the medical equipment is if the patient receiving/handling staff is incompetent. I was told by the staff that I would be contacted for testing (blood, echocardiogram and stress test) as soon as they had approval from my insurance company and I never was. Instead, almost 3 weeks later I received a phone call asking for feedback on a survey for Deborah. I gave very bad reviews and on that same day my testing schedule and appointment was finally mailed to me (quite a coincidence!). They never told me that a follow-up with my doctor had been scheduled and then called me the day before my testing and left a message to reschedule an appointment that I was completely unaware of. I became confused and assumed that it was my testing that was being rescheduled. I called the morning of my testing and I was advised that I could either reschedule both or find another care provider. My choice was obvious. This hospital is a JOKE.

My daughter was with you guys and her heart was jumping out of her chest.
You found cause and gave us the specialist she needed from my endocrinologist.

Now, my love of 30 hearts ask me about ,if he sure get is self checked out, answer was yes.

My husband, Abey Soto Marquez, came to your hospital when he was 4 years old with a heart condition called Tetralogy de Fallot. Dr. Restrepo performed heart surgery on him and saved his life. He s 35 now and healthy without any further complications. Thank you guys so much!

My husband took me to Deborah ER because my airway was swelling shut. They took me back immediately and worked swiftly. All the staff was kind, friendly, and thorough. Thank for great service at a very scary time.

I have to say, I've had the pleasure of dealing with many doctors at Deborah Hospital and what a magnificent place. Both my mother and father were patients here and both lived much longer than expected from the amazing care and compassion of all the doctors and nurses of this amazing hospital. I myself was admitted there many years ago for a problem that they fixed without invasive procedures. My father lived a long and healthy life until he passed 3 years ago, but not by any fault of these incredibly experienced doctors, whom I credit with his longevity!
I have left instructions for my own children if I have a heart or lung condition and can not speak for myself, and I'm in another facility, to move me as quickly as possible to Deborah. I know they will not only give me 100% of each of their specialities, but, will keep me going both physically and mentally, until they have exhausted everything they offer, which is a lot. They never give up, or give you any reason to feel your not going to make it out of your health crisis at anytime. I couldn't thank everyone that took care of my father, but, If I could I would mention, Dr. Sena and his team of the Cardiac Cath lab, Heart failure team and the support of all nurses and nurse practitioners that ALWAYS cared for him as if he was their father. Thank you to all that had a hand in my fathers care from day one back in 1991 all the way to the end in 2017. Your a 10 star facility to me and I will forever be thankful for the care of my mother and my father. A Top facility in my life, experience, with other facilities and other doctors. Thank you Deborah Hospital for giving me my father far more years than I ever expected, as did he.

Highly recommend

In the last 3 months I have been here more than 5 times. The ER has flies the surgical intensive care unit has flies, security guards at ER are rude and not in any shape to keep the place secure. I was in the waiting room while my fiance was under the knife for over 8 hours not a single update when it should have been a 4 hour procedure. Sad excuse for a hospital. I've seen better medical facilities in a combat zone, cleaner too.

I went to Deborah for a cardiology evaluation and because I had been told by a cardiologist in northern NJ that I might possibly have amyloid. Dr. Bullock-Palmer explained the disease in detail and in terminology I could understand. She was thorough in investigating my family health history and immediately ordered all testing required for proper diagnosis. Sandra Wiercinski, APN has been equally professional and has always promptly followed up all my visits with phone calls explaining results of all testing. The staff at Deborah is professional and friendly. The registration and scheduling process is efficient. I am confident that I am in good hands at Deborah and thankful to Dr. Bullock-Palmer, Sandra and the staff at Deborah for making this difficult time as stress-free as possible.
