I am revising my post here as a caution for all my fellow car buyers deciding to head to this dealership. I'd give this dealership a zero rating if it were possible.

I first purchased a Honda Civic from DCH in the last week of December 2016. I was given a defective car, which I reported before driving it out of their campus. I understand that's bad luck. However, the dealership exhibited zero accountability for their lack in conducting a thorough check of the car before handing it to me. Despite my reporting the issue right away I was "talked into" taking the car home. I went back the next day when they told me after making me wait for about 5 hours that the defect could not be resolved for about 15 days. I was offered a car swap, which I accepted. I was given an old car that had been lying in some remote dealership for about a year. They did not provide any compensation for the inconvenienceand kept blaming the manufacturer. Within 2 days, I got a tire-check alert. They had not cared to check tire pressures. I was made to wait for 4 hours just to get air filled in the tires. They disabled my tire monitoring system (which I found out today after 6 months).

Today I got a flat tire. When the mechanic started changing the tire, he asked for a "key," which the dealership had not provided for either car, and so it had to be towed and driven to the closest dealership (Open Road) to perform a minor tire change. I have had to pay about $200 despite being covered by a "bumper-to-bumper" Honda Care and Insurance coverage. I was told that I should have opted for Wheel Protection because "bumper-to-bumper" only covers non-electric damages.

To summarize, think twice before you head to this or any Honda dealership to buy a car. Be prepared to pay about $2000 (these are collected over the period of ownership) on top of the actual car cost only for "additional protection." "Bumper-to-bumper" coverage is a myth.

I understand that I may have had a streak of bad luck, but this dealership and Honda as a car manufacturer showed complete lack of accountability toward their errors and definitely worsened my car-buying experience as well as all post-sales dealings with them.

One more point about the high 5-star ratings that you might notice for DCH. The sales person Michael Cislo persistently kept persuading me to give a 5-star Google review, but he did not provide any assistance when I faced with the above-mentioned issues. I am absolutely disappointed with this dealership for all the inconvenience caused.

Had a great car buying experience at DCH Honda, excellent service from Joe and Vipin. This dealership is great, no gimmicks or tricks, they tell you as it is. Highly recommend this dealership.

After speaking with dealers in Freehold and Eatontown Honda dealerships, and being less then satisfied, I decided to try Old Bridge. My car dealer was John. This was my first time leasing a car, and he was extremely helpful and very polite to my mother and I. Not once did he try to push us to do anything we didn't want, and he answered all of our questions without hesitations. My mother had many questions regarding finance, and Ron (another car dealer) was happy to explain these to her while John helped me decide which car to lease. My experience overall was a very good one, and I will absolutely recommend this dealership, and my car dealer, to anyone in search of a new car.

Very bad experience. I want to buy 2.0 manual gear accord, then the sales tell me that there is no stock, then I said I want to try the manual civic si four-door version, and then sell bart that the four-door version of civic si is not in stock, also said What are they busy today? If I don t really want to buy a car today, I don t have time to let me test. Then, as soon as I went out, I saw a four-door version of civic si at the door. I feel like I was being tricked and played. I have 30,000 yuan in my pocket but Honda doesn't seem to be willing to sell it to my car. Maybe because I look young, they look at people by appearance. Even if I want to buy honda, I will never come back to this dealer.

Really bad experience. I am looking for a 2.0 accord with manual, then the sale told me no inventory for this car. Then I asked for test drive a 4-door civic si or 1.5 Accord with manual transmission, but then sale LIED to me That they don't have inventory and told me they don't have time for test drive if I don't buy a car today. Then I walked out the dealer and I SAW a civic si JUST IN FRONT OF THEIR DOOR. Know the sale was lying and sounds like he didn't want to sell a Honda to me at all though I have 30k in my pocket!( of course he didn't know, because I looks so young like a 18 or 19 boy, I wasted 1 hour just sitting on the chair playing number game with the sale without showing me any real car, and seems like the sale want me buy a car just based On the paper and number. And I get lied and kicked out because I didn't want to buy a car like this like a fool.
I would never come to this dealer anymore for a Honda, I feel like been fooled.

Place is very busy being on rt. 9. Test drove a used car we saw online. Photos were much better than real life. Car was filthy and was missing the dimmer switch knob. Wheel covers were bent and guaged. No prep work was done to get it ready for sale. Seats were filthy with sandy grit dumped on the driver's side dash board that matched what was found on the engine. Big scuffmark on passenger rear bumper. When asked about dropping the price for the work that had to be done they showed us a sheet of comparable cars based on mileage alone. Will never go back there again!!! Wasted time and gas. Gave one star only because I had to give a rating. ZERO stars.

Went in today for the first time actually trying to buy my car on my own and i successfully did thanks to Dimitrios Roumeliotis and his services. I went in there with a purpose and he succeed what I asked for. The only knock I have and it is not his fault at all. I wanted a $300 flat payment but it came out to $318. Not a big deal but i just had to say it. Overall a great experience though. I would definitely recommend going there.

My wife and I purchase a 2011 Honda Accord on 7/24/13 from this dealer after we review the paperwork we found a 299 charge which we didn't purchase. I went back to the dealer because I want it to exchange the car for a new vehicle and they didn't even offer me the options to do it. All the told me how I was going to lose money if I want it to exchange it for a new car. The smart comment I got from the financial manager was to purchase another car. My car was totaled in an accident and I was suddenly forced to buy a new car. Since I previously owned a Honda from another DCH dealership and loved the car, I decided to visit Academy Honda. Paul Papis was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain the features of the 2014 Accord in detail before taking the car out on a test drive. He was also very patient throughout the entire process and never pushed me into making a decision. I ended up taking two test drives and also had follow-up questions that he answered promptly via email. I appreciated his patience as I was dealing with an insurance claim and was also looking at other cars. This, in my opinion, is what sets Paul & Academy Honda apart from some of the other dealers in my book. Everything is straight forward and there's no pressure to buy a car. I ended up choosing the 2014 Accord. Once the car was ready, Paul took the time to walk through the various features of the car and even synced the car to my phone. I will be recommending Paul & Academy Honda to anyone I know that's in the market for a new car.

My overall experience at DCH Academy Honda was extremely noteworthy at the least. I did a majority of my comparative shopping over the internet and was won over by David Mazurek. He promptly replied to all my detailed inquires, took additional photos of the vehicle I was looking to purchase and sent them right to my cell phone. He made me comfortable right from the get go and I didn't feel like I was just being lured in. There were a few other cars in the marketplace that were comparable and cheaper, but the comfort level and professionalism were not there. I decided to take an hour and a half drive to see the car I wanted to buy at Academy Honda. When I arrived, the car was parked out front and Dave had the keys at his desk and all the informtion I requested (carfax report, detailed service records). All in all I bought the car and had a memorable experience at the least. Even the finance portion of my transaction was pleasurable and pressure free. I live in Pennsylvania and would not hesitate to recommened this dealer to my friends and family. It was a pleasure and I look forward to doing business again in the future! Thanks David and staff

She got to work right away on making my end of lease purchase happen. The process was painless and Megan made me feel like I was a top priority. When I went in yesterday to finalize my paperwork, Marcus S. greeted me with a smile (Mask on). He worked with me to ensure all the paperwork was in order and that my time there was welcoming. He walked me through all the information throughly and even had a loan calculator on him to get me rates after I determined what warranties I wanted. I had a very great experience for my first time getting a car from a dealership. My family and I went to DCH Academy since they have leased cars there before and always got great results. We didn't make an appointment and were seen by someone quickly after five minutes of waiting. We talked with both Ryan and Marc about how we wanted to trade in my old Pontaic Grand Am GT and lease a Honda Civic. They were both very knowledgeable and we took the car for a test drive. Ryan went over all the features with the car and explained everything very well including the rear camera, bluetooth feature etc. Overall, I'm very happy with the car I leased since it was the exact one i wanted and I got it at an affordable price.

This place sure has gone downhill from when I first did business with them back in 2012. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Today I went in there to discuss lease options and I was left waiting for over an hour before anyone gave me any kind of assistance. While I was waiting two salesmen actually got into a fight right in front of me, making me extremely uncomfortable. When I went to the front to get my keys back (they had taken them to appraise my car) the guy who had been fighting began to aggressively apologize to me. He wouldn't let up, even though I said "okay" three times. When I finally got out of this place, I found they had moved my car to an entirely different spot without telling me, causing me to walk around the parking lot in search for it. I've never dealt with such an extreme lack of professionalism in all of my life. Truly, this place has the worst customer service.

Bought my new Accord Hybrid touring here last week and had a great experience. I took my truecar certificate in for a 2014 model but they didn't have it in stock, my salesperson Paul A. was able to locate a 2015 model and the price was only about $100 more.

They didn't have the color I wanted (Blue) and was not able to get an ETA of one. Mainly because it was a hard color to find so I don't blame them. I called other dealers in the area to verify.

Paul was very professional and knowledgeable. He had the answer to most of my questions regarding the car. He even took delivery of the vehicle and inspected the vehicle from their sister shop in NNJ, and drove it down to Old Bridge himself. He actually cares about the product he sells.

I would not hesitate to recommend Paul A and DCH Academy Honda to my friends and family.

I started out by inquiring over the internet about a certain car. The response was quick, and an appointment was setup. Veronica was very pleasant. The car I liked was not ready for a test drive as it was in need of repair. I would not normally say yes to buying a car with out test driving it. That is bad business. But with the guidance of my Lord Jesus, I trusted in Veronica and DCH Auto to make a deal on the spot. I did not get the car for the price I wanted, but it was still a great deal. Terry Bhatia was a very kind professional finance agent. They made sure the vehicle was repaired before I could receive it. The car was ready the next day. It is a great car. I will return their again, GOD WILLING.

After dealing with 5 or 6 Honda dealerships nearby in NYC and were very disappointed with what was offered, we decided to try NJ. Out of all the dealerships in NJ we found this dealership actually had the Honda Odyssey Cherry red in stock.

We went and was greeted by their new car sales consultant Joseph Koedros. Joseph (aka Joe) was very detailed in explaining the vehicle to us and was in no way pushy like others were. He took the time to sit with us and explained to us the deal we were getting and he made the whole transaction so easy and with a great price too. He actually brought the car out to show us to prove he had it in stock. With all the paper work done we walked out on the same day with our brand new Honda Odyssey Cherry red.

I can't stress enough on how trustworthy and a down to earth man Joe was to us. We'd like to say "Thank you Joe!"

Definitely would come back and deal with Joe again.

I'm on my 3rd certified per-owned car from Academy (probably the 10th Honda in the family from nowhere else but Academy) and I couldn't be happier. I'm at the point where I just walk in, tell them what we need, and they always help us out. They always have the perfect car for my family and me. I could have gone without test driving these cars because they've all turned out to be perfect.

I won't shop anywhere else. Of all the trouble I've had with other brands of cars and dealers over the years, none of that has come up with Academy Honda. Customer for life. I should have just started here with Gerry Bruno.

No pressure only facts and suggestions. my service manager was Sylvester and he was cool and respectful person. advised whatever only required. There was also a recall on my vehicle which I didn't know about it but Sylvester took care of it without extra appointment and saved my trip. Now I scheduled my cr-v to get service here. After lasting weeks looking for different options for the purchase of my Honda Odyssey, I decided to deal with DCH Academy and I didn't think about it from the beginning. Armando Rivera had all the time without rushing to find a good loan option since I do not have a perfect Credit but they worked with me until I found a bank that would accept me and the payments would be adjusted according to my needs. My husband and I were welcomed into this dealership almost as if we were family after walking out of a previous dealership completely upset and disillusioned. Jason Sepulveda has a humorous and compassionate way about him. He worked with us and our needs until it all clicked together. He made it all work out without once making us feel uncomfortable. He got me into a beautiful Honda Pilot Touring, and I just could not be happier. Gerry was outstanding at getting all of the numbers to work out for us and also a joy to work with. We had a good feeling walking into the place, and the feeling never wavered. All of these men are true gentlemen and made one of the most stressful experiences almost a pleasure.

I had an unfortunate and unique incident with my Toyota Camry that lead to a total loss. DCH Academy Honda was recommended to me by my dad so I researched online and found some interesting cars on their certified pre-owned list. I settled on a 2011 Honda Accord.
I requested a quote online and received a response from David Mazurek. We talked briefly on the phone and then settled on a date and time for me to come in.
When I met David at the dealership he was very cordial and sincere. He remembered our brief conversation and knew that I already had a couple of cars in mind. Even though he was busy with another customer, he took the time to help me and them at the same time, all the while I didn't feel rushed.
We worked through the paperwork. David showed me the numbers and explained them thoroughly. He was a professional all the way and was very respectful of my needs and my time. I then met with Dimitri who was also very professional and helped me get through the additional paperwork.
There was nothing negative about my experience with David or Dimitri. I commend them for their professionalism, respectful attitude and efficiency. I left with the car I wanted, the payment I wanted and the peace of mind that I could go back and talk to them if I had a problem.
I highly recommend David and Dimitri at DCH Academy Honda if you want a hassle free, professional and positive experience.

Otis Vidale is a personable, professional, and equally honest sales rep who expertly handled all the details of finalizing the sale.

It had been a long time since we had gone car shopping. We had been driving a '97 Camry which had 171K miles and it had finally reached the point where we had no desire to put money into it. After doing research (Consumers, AAA) we decided to check out the Honda line. We ended up at DCH Academy Honda in Old Bridge because it was relatively close to home and we'd used DCH Toyota for our '97.

We had a wonderful experience. DCH Academy is not one of those overwhelming dealerships. We did not find it intimidating at all. And the staff made us feel very comfortable immediately.

We originally went in thinking we'd just do a test drive, expecting pressure to buy, but resolute that we wouldn't be pressured into anything we didn't want to do. There was no need for hesitation. We didn't feel one minute of pressure from anyone. And, yes, we ended up driving out in a new 2013 Civic!!

We worked mostly with our salesman Joe Koedros (Joe K.), but Joe Scardigno (sales mgr) was also involved. Joe K. treated us like we were the only customers there. It was a Saturday, the end of the month and they were very busy. But even though the whole process took a while, Joe K. never once made us feel that he was spending too much time with us. He guided us through the whole experience and made sure we were satisfied before we drove away.

We would not hesitate recommending DCH Academy Honda and, specifically, Joe K. We have another car that is up there in years and won't hesitate going back to Joe when the time is right!!
