I live on Staten Island and DCH Academy Honda was one of 3 Honda Dealers I visited before purchasing my 2015 CR-V EX. Although it was the farthest dealership from my house, I purchased it from DCH because they gave me the best price, had plenty of vehicles in stock to choose from, and made me feel comfortable purchasing from them. They did beat me up on my trade-in, but even so it was still the best deal overall. They also gave me a few "freebies" to make the deal even sweeter. My salesman Erich Tam is a great guy who is very knowledgeable and friendly. Even after he sold me the vehicle, he kept in touch to make sure I was happy with everything. If I'm ever in the market for another Honda, I'd have no problem purchasing from DCH Academy Honda and Erich.

Horrible experience. These people called me to make sure I was coming in to buy a certain car and they sold the car to someone else when I was there. They actually let me test drive the car just to tell me they sold it. Very unprofessional. And I specifically told them I cant have my time waisted if I was going to go there and thats exactly what they did.
I would have given 5 stars as Academy Honda saved me almost $600 on the cost of my car from another dealer, however, the high pitch sales for options took it away (my fault) they offer an option at a cost, when you say no, they lower the price until you [think] it's a good deal, only to find out, it's not such a great deal. In my case it was the Oil Plan. After the fact I see if I had not taken it and just relied on the coupons for Oil change @ $38.95, it would have come out cheaper. But I have to remember, it's for the life of the car and hopefully I will live long enough to use up what it cost me. Other than that, it was a painless experience.

This is the worst car buying experience, ever. Unprofessional staff from start to finish, specially Anthony A (a very snobbish attitude). Interestingly the leadership seems to play along with their attitude, and were u apologetic and very disrespectful. Made us come back twice, from over 45 miles away, only to tell the wait would be over 3 hours. There were several other customers, quite frustrated, who were asked to come in and then told to go back as they were too busy. Plus they have hidden fees like nitrogen fees and doc fees which make their prices much higher than most others; their low prices are a big farce. Stay away. I will take my business someplace else.

I went to DCH Honda just to get an oil change for my Accord, I went into the showroom to look around as I waited. I fell in love with the new Accord. A sales rep approached me and asked if I needed help. I immediately said NO in dealership defensive mode, but in a sweet voice she said Ok my name is Sydney and if you need anything or have any questions I m here for you ...! I had an awesome buying experience at DCH Academy Honda thanks to David Mazurek. He totally dispels the age old stereotype that Used Car Salesmen are shady and greedy. I got more than fair market value for my trade-in and the car I purchased was priced right. David even showed me other similar cars in the area, DCH had the best price. The only hiccup during the sale was when his manager stepped in attempting to squeeze an extra buck out of the deal. I don t remember the manager s name, but he was short and bald. I would definitely recommend David to friends, family and even strangers in the market for a used car.

My father and I just leased two new cars from DCH Honda Old Bridge. Yesterday was my first experience viewing cars and getting into a lease. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a salesman Khalil Quraishi, and he continued to spend over three hours working with us to test drive the cars, appraise our old ones, and worked with our budgets to offer us great deals. I drove home in my new car yesterday, and my father got his today, also from Khalil. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He had a great sense of humor and made the whole process a pleasant one. The sales manager John Nguyen was also very helpful and understanding to our needs. My father and I are very pleased with our new cars, the 2015 Civic and 2015 CRV, and would recommend this dealership and staff members to anyone seeking out a new car!

I bought a CR-V from DCH and would recommend them. Here's the full story: I priced a new CR-V by going through their website. I also did this with two other local dealers. DCH price was 2nd best. But, when we visited in person, the other dealership did not honor their offer, instead presenting an offer that had unexpected accessories that materially increased the price. Then we went to DCH and they honored their online offer to the penny. So, my recommendation is to shop around and buy from DCH. They are in it for the long haul.

Sold me a used vehicle. It was a difficult process but one that eventually was finalized. However, the following winter the car had trouble starting, almost every time. Thought it was because I just wasn't driving enough. Turns out, it had the wrong battery installed. Everything was working fine, just didn't have enough power to start the car.
Of course I called and regardless of the fact I had paid for Premium coverage through their own liability service, they pretty much said I bought the car "as is" and they weren't liable for that battery replacement cost.
I would recommend that any car you buy from them, you take to a third party mechanic, bring your own to the store, or research all the specs and take your time investigating the car and all its parts.
Also seems like they did a cleaning house for all the reviews. They were in the tubes a while back, now they are 5 stars. It's interesting.
I am really disappointment with their used car sales service.
Last week I went to DCH used car sales in old bridge. Sales person Gerry Bruno was showing the cars. While seeing the cars he was not honest enough to give all details about the car. The car which I did test drive and liked, doesn t have two master keys, but he didn t tell me this during dealing and he didn t even tell before making the final settlement this week. The sales person Gerry Bruno just gave only one master and valet key, the moment i took the car from delivery line. I was really surprised and unhappy. He simply said 'it has only one master key. Some cars has few and other cars don t'. I didn t expect this reply from sales person of reputed dealer show room. I didn t have any other option other than taking the car as I paid them entire amount and I was eagerly waiting for 2 hours (till 9.10 PM) with my wife and baby to take the car. Others please make sure that the cars which they showing have all required accessory which is supposed to be for that model. if it all that car missing some, have that in mind while doing price negotiation. I believe after seeing my comments someone from dealer give me the proper response and make necessary arrangement to provide the master key
I am so extremely disappointed in your pre-owned department. They took deposits on two vehicles we wanted to purchase and then sold the vehicles. They told us two weeks ago that they processed the refunds but NEVER did., I had to call again to have them do it and they said they never did it in the first place!!!! Would rather drive to another state to buy a car then buy from them!
Also the sales guy we had was super rude and combative. I said "Oh there's a spot on the interior. Do they clean it before?" And he said"What do you expect it's a used car?" He made it seem like I was a total burden on him. He gave me the keys to test drive the car and then walked away. And when he was showing me around the lot he walked so far ahead of me it was like I wasn't there there.
SO many negatives to this place. Go somewhere else!!

We came to a Honda dealer today and received great service for time we spent there. First person we've met was Tim. We were glad he was the one who helped us. We had so many questions and he answered to all of them. He was very helpful. He helped us to choose the right car, exactly what we were looking for. My vehicle had broken down and I was freaking out! I called up Academy Honda and spoke with Tara she helped me out in so many ways. Totally calmed me down and assured me I would be able to get my car in to be looked at ! That girl is a blessing ! She helped me when I was at my worst alone and broken down on the parkway!!! Tara had set me up with an amazing Service Advisor, Kate, she was so knowledgeable and helped me reach roadside assistance and kept in touch with me until my vehicle was towed in. I thank these two amazing ladies for saving me when it felt like the worst day for me, they totally turned it around and made everything better! I will definitely return and request to work with Tara and Kate only ! Thanks again girls !!!

Jenni in finance will dice your sale up by cutting profit & adding to your order as if doing you a favor. ( In turn adding cost to the sale to the company), Finance will make the profit shrink for sales people to divert paying commissions-increasing turnover. The dealership is filthy i.e. tapoe on windows,dust all over, stinks of breakfast & lunch foods.

I picked this dealer ship based on this website, after I did my homework... It was so true, DCH Honda was truly the best experiance I had buying a used car. I never felt pressured or scammed like I did at other dealerships. Veronica worked with me over the phone and on the web and Gerry worked with us when we got there. Horrible service they charge you to do all the paper work and they do nothing but make you wait and tell you there was a problem and you end up doing it yourself while you paid them to do it . Definitely not a place to trust. Will never buy a car from this place again!!!
Everyone hates going to dealership to buy a new/used car. But this dealership is different they will give you a very good price for the vehicle you want, they will actually match/beat the price of other competitors. The staff is very friendly and we do all that is possible to find you the vehicle you are looking for. I was out with a new car in about 4 hours. I will be going back to them.

Jesse Ferrentino was my car sale associate. Contrary to how I usually feel about going to dealerships, I had a completely positive experience. From start to finish, Jesse was extremely interactive and helpful. He was straightforward and personable. I left with the car I wanted at the price point I was looking for. Additionally, I was impressed by his approach and would highly recommend this dealership, as well as the salesman himself.
We traveled about an hour north to DCH Academy Honda. It was worth it. We were greeted immediately with smiles from all the staff and approached within 30 seconds of walking through the doors. Khalil Quraishi asked us if we were being helped after saying hello. He then walked us right out to the lot where the Honda Civic was that we were interested in. Within minutes he had the keys and showed us the interior. Politely he asked me if I minded sitting in the back (I was not test driving) and then opened the door for me. He is a very respectful kind man and has a lot of jokes. The test drive went well, and we ended up negotiating a very fair deal for the vehicle. He brought us sandwiches and made sure we weren t ever thirsty throughout our visit. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and we were extremely pleased.
My family enjoyed our visit to DCH Academy Honda. The staffs are all friendly. Our Sales, Mr. Erich Tam is a knowledgeable sales with deep understanding of customer's need. For all the questions we have, he speaks from his heart about his own experience. Erich ran through the whole process from trade-in our old car to deliver the new vehicle in four hours. Literally the worst experience at a car dealership in my life. I bought a used car from them, Sanjay specifically, about 1 month ago. Ever since then it has been a nightmare. After 3 days of having the vehicle the check engine light comes on with a code (Replace Engine Oil Dipstick). After 6 days the Oil light comes on. The same night the oil light goes on it goes into EPC mode (won't allow you to drive over 4k RPM to protect motor) after work. At this point I am very unhappy so I text and call Sanjay that night multiple times to not one reply. After I call him a punk (I was pretty pretty pretty pissed) he calls me and proceeds to tell me "You're going to find out who I really am." What type of person in sales and customer service speaks to a client this way. He legit threatened me. The following day I go to my mechanic to throw it on a lift and the car has oil all over the bottom of the car. We diagnose the visible problems (Engine oil leak, transfer case leak, transmission leak, and just to mention they had the skid-guard held up by zip-ties.) You would think they do a comprehensive check of the vehicles they receive. I top it off and head to the dealership. While on my way to the dealership I receive a call from Anthony. He tells me Sanjay told him to give me a call and asks whats wrong. I explain and he tells me to bring the car in so they can look at it. I finally arrive from the hour drive I have to take to find out Anthony isn't even there. It's actually his day off.... As a sales manager wouldn't you think after hearing all the major issues you would want to be there to make sure your customer gets taken care of properly? Anyway, I head over to service where I encounter another slew of issues. The head of service pretty much starts telling I bought the car as is etc etc before even taking a look at it. So after a brief back and forth I go to the waiting room and do just that...wait...for 3 hours. They agree to fix the vehicle as it was in need of major repair. They give me a loaner and I'm on my way. Fast forward to 3 weeks later and 3 calls that were never returned from my sales advisor Jade, I give Sanjay a call. Sanjay actually picks up and helps me find out if my car is ready, it was. I take the hour drive back and pick up my vehicle. It's been about a week and my check engine came back on and so did the oil light. I called Sanjay 3 times and left him two messages...Still hasn't got back to me. Stay away from this hellhole of a dealershit. I have been in sales for about 10 years now and these people have no integrity what so ever. They are the ones that give us a bad name.

I was referred to your dealership through the Costco program after having a bad experience at another Honda dealership in Northern New Jersey. Ms. Galluccio called me back immediately after the weekend to set up an appointment for late morning on Monday. In person, she was pleasant and gracious, without any of the hard-sell methods that can be so irritating. She listened to me, verified the cars I'd located on the Internet, and showed me whatever I needed to see. The price was right on the car I wanted and Ms. Galluccio tried to work with me on anything I needed. I bought a 2010 Honda Accord LX on the spot. Financing could not have been easier. I traded in my 1999 Honda Accord EX-L and drove away in my new-looking, pre-certified vehicle. I'd recommend Ms. Galluccio for her gentle, direct manner and DCH Academy Honda on Route 9 anytime.

Unless you don't mind paying unnecessary fees, don't waste your time here. I've come here on two occasions to look at cars and I probably never will again. First of all, they claim that they don't want to negotiate the price because they "price aggressively" online. That might be fine if it weren't for the extra ~$1500 in fees they want to charge you. On the second occasion that we went, we told them that we'd be registering the car in MD, but they were still trying to charge us hundreds of dollars in filing fees, despite the fact that all they had to do was get a $5 temp tag from the DMV, which they were going to charge us $25 for. They also insist on making you pay a few hundred for the nitrogen that they chose to put in the tires. Not even including the fact that the second car needed new tires, so paying for nitrogen would have been a waste anyway, if you do some research on how much it costs to fill your tires with nitrogen, they're charging you about 3x the cost. They claim all of the fees are non-negotiable because of DCH corporate policies. Knowing that, I'll never shop at another DCH dealership again. There are plenty of other dealers out there, so who needs them?
Best customer service experience - normally I find that buying a new car is such a headache so I decided to work with someone online to take away some of the stress. Recently, my wife and I leased a Honda CR-V from DCH Academy. This was the third time that we either leased or purchased a vehicle from DCH. Each time it's been a very satisfying and hassle free experience. The last two times we were helped by Senior Sales Rep Robert Levine. Once again we immediately felt comfortable with his very considerate and knowledgeable professionalism. As in the past, he guided us through the process from test drive to signing. We love the CR-V, and along with the great service, we believe that we got a really good deal on what is still the best all around quality and value in a vehicle.
About a month ago I bought a used 2016 Civic from DCH Academy Honda. Tyler was my salesperson and he was fantastic. I especially appreciated the fact that whatever request I had for the vehicle during negotiations Tyler's answer was always, "Let me see what I can do." I genuinely felt like he was trying to get me the best deal and not taking advantage of me, which is how I usually feel at car dealers.
In finance, I dealt with Paul who was also awesome. He smoothed out some hiccups with my auto loan, which were actually my fault, and in the end got me a better rate on my car loan. Thank you DCH!

The reason I gave such high marks to Academy Honda is due to the fact that they really appear to want to sell cars and not gimmicks. I visited four Honda dealerships in the area and was up front with all as to my intentions to buy a car within a week for my daughter. I told each one that I wanted their best price and would not be coming back if another dealer came in lower. Ryan Hoey came in with an excellent deal right out of the chute which beat other dealers by almost $1,400. When I returned a week later to close on the deal, Ryan honored his original price and didn't try to play any games to jack up the original price! It was a pleasure buying a car from Academy Honda and best of all my daughter is very happy with her new Honda Civic. I would recommend that anyone looking for a Honda stop here first because they blow the rest of the dealerships in New Jersey away.

I've been advised by DCH Academy that it is within their normal business practice to allow a customer to leave their establishment, with a **BRAND-NEW CAR**, and not have FULL insurance coverage; i.e., collision and comprehensive.
Their only requirement is liability for others and, once that is met and proof is supplied, no further action is required, even though the faxed paperwork clearly states "Collision: No coverage."
Unfortunately for me, I found this out after my six-month-old vehicle was totaled. Don't let this happen to you or someone you know.
Honda Financial has flat-out disagreed with DCH's stance, to put it mildly, and has advised me to contact the NJ Department of Banking and Insurance. In the meantime, they will take over trying to rectify this situation.
I have leased five vehicles from DCH, and due to my patronage and experience, my neighbor has leased two. I would think that that meant something; apparently, it does not. Upon trying to lease another vehicle, for which I DID HAVE AN APPOINTMENT, I was made to wait two hours. Candidly, I'm very suspicious if that was a tactic used by the salesman, as a way to hide the circumstances of not having full coverage on the totaled vehicle and him not wanting me to speak to someone else.
