This was a fun trip for friends visiting from out of town. We went on a Saturday, which their website says not to do, but they have great facilities and staff who helped it to seem not so busy. A nice experience.

Friday early afternoon and the place was packed but fear not because they have an extremely efficient way of moving the lines along quickly! All the staff everywhere is super friendly and helpful. I'd suggest entering through the Silos Baking Co. and pick up baked goodies first! You'll fill out a carded menu with quantities and in no time have all your goodies bagged up. Then head for the interior where you'll find all the food trucks and trailers and plenty of space to sit and eat while the overhead misters keep you cool. More shopping inside.
Magnolia table has the best chicken salad sandwich on the planet! Plenty of other choices but bring $$. A large Alabama Ice Tea was $8 with two free refills and you get to keep the plastic Mason jar with lid and straw. Most large hungry folks will have to spend about 20 bucks. Bring$$$ if you plan on buying any merch! Still loved it and the wife and I got out after buying 5 cupcakes, two earth shattering cinnamon rolls, cold coffee, two chicken salad sandwiches, two white peach lemonades, candle, salt and pepper shakers, butter dish and ten bucks parking(pay to park!) There's free but trust me, pay! Total was $130 Well worth it and will return.

Not my thing. Went with the Mrs. Way too crowded. Some nice things, all of which are probably considered overpriced anywhere else. Surprisingly some were even hand-made in the US, so there is that.

I didn't watch the show, so I'm not sure why we were there, but we had fun. Not too much to do, aside from eat and hang out. Cupcakes were pretty good, but the wait to get one was 30 minutes.

Gotta love visiting the dream and Chip and Joanna Gaines! We went on a friday of a holiday weekend so it was fairly busy. Try to hit a weekday when it may be a little slower. Great place to take the kids and relax for the evening, look for future events on their website as well.

When my wife told me she wanted to take a day trip to Waco during our Austin vacation, I asked if it was to go see Branch Davidian site or something. She, having lived in Mexico at that time, had no idea what I was talking about.

Being from California, that was the only thing I knew about Waco, so I'm glad that has changed. From Baylor University to Dr. Pepper to now the Gaines, Waco is much more than just the location of where a heavily armed cult squared off with FBI. I don't know if the Gaines brought the the cool vibe to Waco, or if they are just leading the pack in trendy property updates, but the non-Gaines businesses around the Silos definitely looked cool and hip.

Coming on a Monday, I didn't expect this place to be out of control crowded. The place isn't that big. There is enough free parking in The Silos parking lot or around on the street that you shouldn't have to park in the pay lots, but maybe I only thought that because there were a lot of people parked in the pay lots.

On site are:
the actual store
a bakery
some gardening bit
an OK sized grassy area in the middle for kiddos to play on
a bunch of permanent food trucks
a bunch of benches to eat food from said food trucks

When we walked by the line to what I found out later was the bakery, I kept hearing excited chattering about how amazing everything was and how the hour and a half wait (the approximation of one of line members) was TOTALLY worth it. I've stood in line for one bakery in my life that lasted more than 10 minutes. That was Tartine in San Francisco. Tartine was barely worth that hour wait, so they weren't convincing me to stay in that line. In retrospect, maybe I missed out, but it's not keeping me up at night.

The store itself was, as expected, fashionably decorated and stocked with the Magnolia goods that everyone can't get enough of. This store should have maybe had a line to get in, because it was like trying to get through at a crowded bar at times. Honestly, the goods in the store were great. We didn't take anything with us other than a t-shirt for my wife, but that was mainly because we were flying back from this vacation and there was really no where to put much of this stuff.

The food trucks were good and expectedly expensive. That is all I have to say about that.

I like HGTV. It's how I determine whether a hotel is really decent or not. I like the Gaines, but The Silos didn't have the same meaning to me as many others who braved the lines that day. Long lines for a bakery, a home goods store and food trucks. My wife is the most important person to me, and she was in heaven. This was her Disneyland, so I was happy that she was happy. For all the people that come, this place should be bigger. And at least have a petting zoo, or a lounge for significant others like they have in Nordstrom dressing rooms. And put a bar in it with Wi-Fi, and charging stations, and peanuts or something I can mindless eat while not being a sourpuss during one of the best highlights of my wife's trip.

Unexpectedly busy for a random Monday in October, but we lucked out with the weather. Cool and cloudy made for a pleasant shopping experience. The store has plenty of Magnolia merch if that s your thing. The bakery is outstanding and efficiently run to expedite the inevitable line that goes out the door and around the corner. Open space in between buildings lets you wander with places for kids to play. Food trucks were available for snacks or meals.

Fun place for the whole family. Delicious treats at the bakery from the fantastic cupcakes to the ooie goodie, very large cinnamon rolls. Large turf area for gathering and play with food trucks supplying something for all tastes and of course shopping at the market.

This is exactly what dreams are made of! My husband and I recently got married and purchased a home and decided to do a minication to visit the Silos and get some inspiration and home decor. The facility was gorgeous with well kept grounds. The displays were stunning and incredibly well organized. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. On the lawn they had seats you could relax in and food trucks so you could munch on goodies while enjoying each other s company. It s so nice to see a place where so many families and friends are gathered and just enjoying each other s company. We loved it all and can t wait to go back! (I m also in LOVE with the clock we decided to purchase!!!)

I honestly do not get the obsession with this place. It is a super tiny store inside and almost all the items are from other vendors. Also, the junk that is inside is way over priced. The only thing I liked was the clay coffee mug I bought for 26 bucks. The outside area is an outside area. The bakery is nothing special but a long line for a few choices. The appeal to this place is merely the people that own it and the decor of the property. Parking is not abundant, but doable. Traffic is a mess because of its location. Do yourself a favor and go to the Spice Village down the street. That place you will find way more enjoyable and less expensive.

The bakery: Delicious! The environment is fin and family friendly. My daughter and I loved playing with the provided kickballs on the center turf! So much fun and a great rest stop from our long drive to DFW. :)

I would like to note that this review is based on a pre-covid visit. The Silos are truly magical, but I only gave it four stars because it was literally shoulder to shoulder. The crowds made it a little hard to maneuver in the store. When we visited it was on the rainy side, so we were stuck outside in long lines with umbrellas. I m sure it would be very similar If you visit while social distancing protocols are in place. To Magnolias credit, they actually had some social distancing (crowd control) in place before it was federally mandated. I love magnolia style, so it was a fun place to visit. This destination would have been a one and done trip, but since Chip and Joanna have opened a new store, I will most probably give it another visit. If you enjoy Fixer Upper, definitely put this on your bucket list!

The skin care products are a ripoff. You are supposed to see results
in 30 days but if you don't cancel future automatic shipments or report your dissatisfaction with the product within 10 days. You are charged
the full price of the product which is ridiculously expensive. I am shocked
that the Gainses would be involved with such a scam.

Very beautiful place to come and visit and just have a good time relaxing. Some items are over priced in my opinion. Depending on the day and time it can get over crowded. Worth visiting. Did not get to go in the bakery the line was too long.

Beautiful place to go , eat and enjoy with your family for. Go early to get a good spot to park . We took our granddaughter Amelia (5) years old and she enjoyed as much as we did . The service and helpful people in the different areas inside were excellent.

A lot of people go here. Just expect that when making your trip. Its a good thing. Local businesses are good and I'm glad it is being supported. The cupcakes are bomb. I came from Vegas and picked these up on my way to DFW for a girls trip. Everyone loved them. So good!

This whole place is amazing. The Gaines' have such an eye for things, and great vision. You can see it on TV, but it doesn't do it justice. It makes you feel like you are a part of it when you are there. I didnt want to leave. What a great space, and place! Highly recommend it. The store is really nice and the outside space is very comfortable.
