Great place to visit and get a cupcake or two or cookie or .... lol
If you are a fan of the show, this place is so worth the visit!! Cupcakes are a must. We went on a Wednesday and one of the sales people said the best days to go are Tuesday and Wednesday. I ve heard the wait for cupcakes can be 3 hours on a Saturday! Another must try is the sweet tea from the food truck. I love the mason jar and now use it to make sure I get my water intake for the day!
Fun atmosphere but mostly just overpriced home decor
We love it. The bakery is awesome. choc brownie cookie delicious. But at the market would be nice if not almost everything was made in China.
The silos were more than I expected! So much to see and do and the layout is very nice! The only suggestion I have is to put fans or even those misters under the tents waiting for the bakery and by the food trucks!
It was very family oriented. Clean and friendly people. Alot to do.
To fill your tummy and quench your thirst This is a very family-friendly place. There is plenty for the children to do outside and and lots of tables with plenty of shade over them. The weekends are extremely busy but there are plenty of food and drink trucks to quench your thirst and fill your tummy. It is a very fun atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. The big store is filled with tons of beautiful stuff and fun to shop. They have a wonderful garden section as well outside where you can purchase seeds and plants. I highly recommend everyone should visit at least once.
Really enjoyed everything. It's kid and dog friendly.
This is a really neat spot in Waco, whether in town or passing through. I haven't seen the show or read their book, but I wanted to stop as when I moved to the East coast people actually asked me if I had been here, which shocked me as when I lived in TX, wacko was a place you only went to if you were at Baylor or had friends there.
If you happen to be in the vicinity, the Market Silos are worth a stop. The way the compound is set up is super nice, comfortable, and family friendly. It was also very busy at 10:30a on a Tuesday. So be prepared. The cafe already had a line and due to time constraints was not able to wait for the line. They do have free parking if you drive past the silo and turn right at the next street. The city also has a free tram that stops at the Silos. It would be a nice place to get lunch, the food trucks seemed to have good variety, and there is a lot of seating, but again its probably really busy by then.
Great store....fun "compound". Enjoyed our visit quite a bit.
We enjoyed the market but there is currently a lot of construction going on. I would reccomend you wait to go until construction is completed. Beautiful place though.
This past Saturday 2/2/19, was my first visit to the Silos! Inside the market was very beautiful, outside was kinda dirty and the turf needs to be replaced. But one of your employees made my trip extra special! Supervisor Vicky!! She went above and beyond and made my experience so wonderful!! 5 stars because of her! Thanks Vicky, I LOVE my bag!
Great place for family to hang around. Shopping is too costly . Not muxh option for vegetarians but with in 1 mile they have Chipotle, in ans out burger and all.
It s the experience of being here that definitely adds to the charm that is Magnolia Market & the Silos
Family friendly atmosphere, clean, and lots of things to do! There are delicious food trucks to pick from too, which was a pleasant surprise.
Nice place but most of the items for sale are not made in the USA and overpriced. What happened to the American dream ?
Although it is closed on Sunday, there are still many people who stop by and take photos!
The open space has a nice atmosphere with a lot of kitchen carts selling various fashionable interior goods.
Joanna & Chip's remodeling program seems to be very popular, but I have never seen it. But here you can enjoy.
Bakery is no longer in line ...
Really enjoyed the visit here.....bakery was awesome
Our visit was wonderful. Even waiting in line for the bakery was an event. We talked with people from several states. Once inside we got our cookies and cupcakes and drinks and ate in the courtyard. The lavender lemon was delicious, should have gotten 2. My friend had the strawberry cream and said yummy.
We toured the grounds, took pictures and ate at the gourmet grilled cheese truck. Delicious sandwich and soup.
I went into the market which was packed, my friend couldn t handle the crowds. Interesting but hard to see all the neat items due to the crush of people. I did find a couple items and at checkout got a selfie with Joanna s mom. That was so sweet of her.
Enjoyed our time in Waco and am so glad to mark it off our bucket list.
Great job to Chip and Joanna.
Reminds me of a Disney attraction. Can't believe how the Gains have done such a wonderful job and cast this vision. A must visit destination to experience an American Dream come true. I was and still am amazed.
Friendly staff , crowded but overall awesome place . I am a fan of jo and chip so it was well worth my trip!
Way to crowed and over priced on some stuff and lots of the things are duplicated in the back room. Cupcakes was good but to sweet and I didn't think the cupcake was worth the price for them. And the one Landy that waited on me I thought she was a little rude.
We were very disappointed. Their product is grossly overpriced. 28 dollars for a small candle. What a waste of a Saturday and 10 bucks for parking. :(
Amazing! It was cold and windy, but perfect because less people!
Nice things, but very expensive. Bakery was good - I liked the cookies better than the cupcakes. Common area with picnic tables and food trucks is nice. Big area for kids to run around and play. Very crowded on a Friday. Tues/Wed would probably be better. Free trolley will take you to Magnolia Table restaurant and the Little Shop on Bosque + other stops.
Makes the wife happy, can't complain. Outrageous prices tho.
What's not to love? Family oriented and peaceful feeling you can't ignore. A variety of great food trucks and places to sit and eat with garden area too! And the best salted caramel popcorn ever!
It was a relaxing get away. The breakfast was great.
The pastries were very good, but the day I went the line was over an hour long.
You have to be into the show to appreciate it. I'm not so I didn't get it.
Such a fun experience! I came here with my husband & brought my parents back the next weekend for the silobration. Well worth the drive from San Antonio!
Enjoyed the atmosphere and food trucks. Highly recommend the BBQ pizza at the pizza food truck. Cupcakes are always awesome. We always have a great time!
This was so AWESOME to see in person. Quality products!!
We got to the Silos around 4:45 on a Friday and it wasn t crowded at all! It was super hot, so we didn t spend much time outside. We shopped around and then went over to the bakery to buy some sweet treats for the ride home. We only waited in line at the bakery for 10 minutes. I would love to go again when the weather is cooler and we can spend more time exploring the grounds. They did have big ice chests with complimentary water bottles around outside which was so nice.
Very cool experience to see the Silos and the work of Chip and Joana. The setting is beautiful and the food is good. I especially liked the open field with the games so that both adults and children can play. However, it is also very much an expensive tourist trap for those who want to buy into the Chip and Joana Gaines lifestyle.
This is an Amazing place to visit. They have several stores and a large open area for families to enjoy!
First visited when I was considering moving to this area. When checking into my hotel, I asked if there was a Baylor graduation or freshman orientation going on - I had a crazy difficult time reserving a room. The front desk attendant said, No, its Magnolia, every hotel is booked every weekend. He was right - we went the next day, there was about a three hour wait to get into the bakery, so we skipped that part. The actual shop is exactly what you would expect if Chip and Joanna made a DisneyWorld - shiplap, subway tiles, loads of cool metal art, charming little wood knickknacks - everyone seems to buy the Magnolia coffee mugs and Magnolia tees because they re affordable. The BEST part is outside - there is massive play area for the kids to run around and play, a huge pergola with plenty of picnic tables, seating, and mist to combat the Texas heat in August. It is also incredibly dog friendly. The seed shop is in the back corner and various food trucks surround the area. There are a lot of cool areas set up specifically for Instagram shots. I took family from out of town right before Christmas - the Santa didn t even scare my toddler - its a cool place. Plan to spend some serious time to take it all in.
Had a great time. I've always liked Joanna's style!
I LOVED my experience visiting here. There were lots of stuff to do both inside and outside. We went on a weekend, so obviously there was a bit of a crowd, but it was still a good experience.
Thank you JoAnn and Chip Gaines, for opening up on Sundays, due to Church Under the Bridge having to relocate, due to reconstruction of our bridge, we have the freedom of religion to sing and worship and have fellowship in one of the nicest venues. We have shelter from the weather, we have seats from the property,we have bathrooms with running water and a baby changer instead of a porta potty, theirs a water station, just bring your own cup. Awesome scenery.
Just so disappointing . We drove 2.5hrs because we're fans of the show. We loved the show because it was a diverse couple who loved the Lord. So I was pumped. Great gateway with my hubby and even stayed at one of the lofts that were featured in a renovation challenge that were located downtown (shout out to Jim, the coolest host ever) to get the whole Chip and Joana experience.
So when we get to the Market, as I walk thru, I feel eyes are on me. Strange and surprisingly in 38 years I have never out rightly experienced this b4 (shocker, even being an African-American woman) but I felt the workers strangely starring with the fakest smiles ever. It was tons of other "white" folks shopping but we were a focus. So purchased a few items and left.
Returned today to hit the market to pick up the beloved leather-strapped shopping tote and lastly to the Seed Supply store just because it was one of the last places I didn't visit. So mind u, I already purchased the beloved tote at the market and while heading over to the Seed Supply store, I was carrying it.
So as I'm looking around, the cashier had a nasty nerve to ask me, "Did you purchase that ma'am"? I was in shock because, # 1, you don't ask a possible shopper who is shopping in your store and has not even walked out yet, a question like that and her tone was condescending. #2 THEY DID NOT CARRY ANNNNNY TOTES (with the leather straps) in the Seed Shop, only some small cheap looking ones that were located NEAR checkout. I looked at my hubby and said, "We out".
Now sadly, I was aware of the racist history of Waco but sad to say, it still exists. Just a disappointing experience, especially since this was one of the things on my bucket list to do. Never coming back this way again and now I see why there were only 2 black families walking around there (including us). Just sad. Should have just kept going north to Dallas as always.
Absolutely Amazing.. the employees so kind. The food Amazing and the atmosphere so cool
First time visiting, was sadly disappointed. I should have looked up current information. Market and bakery were open but the rest of the place was under major construction. A few spots to sit, nothing else to do. No lawn or anything open, covered pavilion was blocked. I am sure it will be better months from now.
Paid for an expensive, large acrylic calendar that came in a box. Drove two hours home and found out it was defective when we opened the box (top right corner was chipped and the glass was missing). Called customer service, was on hold for 40 minutes and left a voicemail. Waiting on a call back.

Easily can spend your time here. A beautiful park type area with plenty of food.
This is a great way to spend the day with the family. The open area with bags and giant jenga is so nice for family play time.
Too commercial and way overpriced.
We love the show and I truly believed Chip and Joanna are wonderful people who do amazing work in the community. Long line to get into bake shop, for delicious, yet very expensive treats.
Sitting outside enjoying the fresh air in the bakery courtyard and it feels amazing! There is a beautiful outdoor area with tons of tables which matches so well with the Chip and Joanna Gaines decor that they put into every design and feel of their homes. The wifi is free and the bakery items are fairly well priced and so good. Made it a must to stop while here in Waco and definitely worth it to take in the beautiful design and relaxing feel!
Perhaps a bit over - hyped but still worth the trip.
Beautiful store, but expensive. Did not make it into bakery because of the long line.
Quaint place with food trucks, picnic tables, lawn for games and relaxation. The garden was a delight and of course the market was great! Could not make it to the bakery... the line was too long.
However you can still get the delicious cupcake at their bakery camper next to the lawn.
Such a family-friendly place! Shopping, dining, recreation, relaxation, lots of restrooms--even plenty of shaded areas with water misters! Thanks, JoJo and Chip!
